Aqua sees a Mobster about to attack him, so he got out his laser-sword, Blue Flame, and stabs the Mobster and then kicks the Mobster away, putting his sword back in his sheath.
"Nice reaction...." Celia said but sounded un-impressed. She just kept walking and chewing her bubblegum. Her emotion was unchanged as she walked. Her bag of candy made sounds of jawbreakers hitting each other. "Want some gum?" She asked Aqua.

"God..." Ky said, slightly in pain. He popped out his mags, and switched them to ice. "Ugh... I really need to remember what I have in..." He said, as his aura slowly healed the wounds. He stood up, and looked over to Sable, and saw her holding the pawn that he'd gotten, "Whatever... It's for the team." He said, a little annoyed with her. He brushed the mud out of his fluffy, adorable black fox tail, before turning to the girls, "We still need one member..." He said, unhappy that he'd have to meet someone else. "And I hope to god it's a guy..." He said, just loud enough for them to hear. He looked over, and saw a figure. He waved him over, happy he was a guy.

"... You know what? Sure." He said, chewing the gum once she had given him a piece of gum.

A picturesque, perfect day of fair sun presided over the Kingdom of Mistral, a rarity among the near-constant hazy rainfall ripping 'cross the sky on many other days that caused the swampy, sleepy feel commonly associated with the kingdom. It was certainly a change of pace for those new to the kingdom's hunter training institution, Haven Academy, that didn't hail from the region over the past few days. The change was certainly welcome by most, though. It reminded them of the sweet, safe clutches of their homelands wherever they hail from.

A crowd of freshmen amassed on the lush knoll meters away from the expansive facilities in the background, each with their own personal flair and mannerisms reflecting in their unique appearances per custom on Remnant. Haven Academy's director and effective leader, Headmaster Roland, rounded the newcomer's in a semi-circle before him and urged them to step forward onto the stainless steel plates rooted into the grassy ground beneath their feet. The muffled sounds of metal clanking against metal rung dully under the sounds of the crowd as a slim girl in full funeral black stepped upto the plate, her face obscured by an onyx parasol and visibly armed... by her shoes. The glossy Maroon handguns affixed to her heels clanged as she tapped her heel against the plate impatiently. One, she reflected flatly in her brain as if she was counting down to something she knew was coming shortly.

"You will be sent to various locations around Mistral, the swampland, city and rural areas you will arrive at will be teaming with bandits and Grim so keep on your toes at all times!" The Headmaster warned, pausing at his message to dignify it with the utmost urgency. "Stick with your fellows students as you come across each other, the first 3 other students you meet will become your teammates for the rest of your time here. Lastly, your mission today is to collect and steal a large silver chest piece like this." His hand rose up to the view of the student body's gaze, a brilliantly shining chess piece clearly within his grip. The instructions were clear, or at least they were to her: Find, interrogate, and retrieve.

Two, her contemplative counting grew more apparent as her brow furrowed beneath her obscuring parasol; A sign of increased determination.

With the mission briefing over and done and the students ready to dispatch, the steel grates beneath the students began to give way, leading to their secret escape routes in a pressurized tunnel leading betwixt various points in Mistral. From the farthest left to the sweeping right, students dropped like bullets through the tunnels with a quick, yet deafening sucking sound. "...Three." Mardi's internal countdown left the realm of reserved reflection and came as a whisper into the world of the physical. She quickly closed her parasol and, with a clang, the grate dropped and pulled the incognito Asimovian redhead in with great force likened to a magnet and steel. Designed to carry mail, the tubes shot Mardi through the Kingdom like a bullet! The details of the worn iron and glass tube whipped before her eyes as she sped at such a velocity to that making any damage out from under the dirt enclosing the delivery system was nigh impossible.

The eighty mile-per-hour journey ended shortly as the redhead synth shot through the other side of a downtown scenery, performing a Layback spin as she soared through the air and focused on what hazards lay before her; Mobsters, the controllers of this section of the city the Police force failed to scrub clean. Instead, the seedy crime rings were allowed to fester and grow in that section as they slowly encroached on other districts surely. Executing a flawless Ina Bauer, Mardi landed with a screeching halt along the concrete and armed herself with her choice handcannons in hand and on foot. Thankfully, there was no fight here to be had just yet as all the hostiles had been incapacitated.

...But there were two active unconfirmed beings in the area. A purple-haired warrioress and an aqua-hued young man ready for action. She remembers vaguely seeing those descriptions last night at orientation, but there was always room for error; In a field where error is fatal, no less. Outstretching her left arm solely and keeping her right arm bent, she aimed both Monvoisin at the two of them for contingency. "...State name, affiliation, and level of skill." Mardi spoke forthrightly with no trace of good wishes or manners to be extended. "In the event that you are hostile, I am implored to notify you that this operation authorizes use of lethal force if and whenever necessary."

Ivory was less than interested on what was going on. She kept one of her swords in hand but left the other in it's sheath. Sable and Ky could handle the Grimm, and seemed to enjoy showing off, something Ivory did not share. She heard the squishing of foot steps behind them in the mud, her head turned towards the figure that was standing in the distance, coming towards them. She only took a few moments to look at the figure, loosing interest, and was ready to continue on. If they were planning on joining their team, they better catch up.

Ivory was more interested in getting in the mud, that was very likely to be staining her shoes and she could feel it drying on her skin. She wanted some nice solid, dry ground below her feet, preferably grass or stone. She took a step a head of Sable, who had the pawn in her hands, anything to get out of this swamp even if it meant leaving them in the nonexistent dust whike they waited for the distant figure. Though she wasn't to far away, and wanted to get out of the sticky mud, but she was just looking ahead for any heards of the Grimm.

@Boe @Mollisol @Deltorian Nephran

Sable turned her head at the sound of footsteps. Was the guy in the distance expecting a welcome party? He was in for a surprise. If he was a guy. Sable was a little nearsighted, but the voice had sounded male. "We're moving now," she called. "You better catch up." She trudged through the marshland, until finally, closer to the building, the ground became drier and more stable. She slipped the pawn into a pocket under her armband, and looked back for the guy who'd been following them. He'd caught up.

Well, that was a good start.

"You," she said flatly. "I'm Sable, and these are Ivory and Ky. What's your name? And have you seen any leads on where we could find our next chess piece?"

"Oh looky.... I am meeting all the people today...." Celia said with a sigh and sarcastic tone. "Listen..... how about you move so we can find our chest piece alright...." She said a bit aggrivated. She was unsure if this girl was hostile but put her hand near her candy bag for good measures. It was never a hundred percent chance with people.

Ky frowned, and followed. He fluffed his black fox tail, sending a small smile to his face. He brought his tail around in front of him, and began playing with it, almost acting like a child who'd just gotten a new toy. Once the tail was fully fluffed, he let it fall back behind him, his smile soon fading.

Ky dropped back to investigate the new guy. He walked beside him, and investigated him a bit. He poked his face, keeping his face as straight as possible. Ky soon decided he was 'Lame' and walked back up ahead with the girls, "Hey, so, we headed to the Water Temple?" He asked, that being the only part he listened to in the speech before they were dropped. "The man said once we get our team's chess piece that we were supposed to go to some Water Temple." He said bluntly, as he fluffed his tail adorably.

"The name is Naga, or if you want, Serpent. Also, don't poke your kind like that. A fox like you ain't so good in a swamp compared to a reptile." Naga began, flicking his tongue out like a snake would with new environments. "It's nice that you let me catch up, annoying Fox. It's nice to meet you two though. Also, do either of you have coffee lollies or know a place that's sunny?"

"Clouds like this place, and I don't have any coffee lollies," Sable said with a shrug. She regarded how the Faunus boys trying to get a sense for each other. Weirdos. Would it be a strange experience to be the only human on the team? "But I guess we ought to head to the water temple. Did any of you see where it was?"

Ivory looked back on the group with her dark eyes, they were coming closer to where she was waiting; out of the mud. She didn't know how she felt about the make up of the group, a serpent, fox, wolf and human. It was an odd combination.. And as far as first impressions and bonding it wasn't going well, so for the moment combo moves didn't seem like much of an option either. Her ears twitched a little and she stood silent for a moment, debating whether she would speak or not, "It's this way.." She stated nodding her head in the direction they were walking.

Ivory turned and started walking again, but slowly so that she wouldn't loose her group. They were up wind and her steps were silent and well chosen as they moved.

Aqua turned around and saw the red-haired woman, having heard what she said. "Alright, but first... will you tell us your name?" Aqua asked the red-haired woman, a small blush on his cheeks. Heh... she's pretty cute... Aqua thought in his head.

"...Chess pieces." She muttered to herself, realizing their allegiance clearly. All three of them had the same mission and, because they were the first two she had seen thus far, they were now on the same team. ...Whether that was a good thing or a bad thing, Mardi was unsure. First impressions were particularly difficult and only made more difficult when you're a robot with the fused brain capacity of an adult and a toddler.

"I will move." Mardi flatly replied to Celia's half-baked sass. "...But because of protocol, I must move alongside you as your teammate." Her outstretched arms relaxed, drooping the Monvoisin down to her side. "Mardi Gras Monsoon..." Her attention honed in on Aqua's deprived infatuation so clearly displayed in the bloodrush in his cheeks. "The daughter of Misty Monsoon, director and chief executive officer of Monsoon Industries of Vacuo." Gripped her skirt's hem with her fingers, she performed a stilted curtsy with her heel-mounted Monvoisin scraping the concrete with a screech as she skillfully lied about her origins. It was a tall tale she had grown accustomed to telling and told it flawlessly without any hint of suspicion.

"...Now, provide me with the information I commanded. Your name, your affiliation, and your level of skill."

"Well for one...... No one 'demands' anything from me...... and I am not going to tell you" (Aka: I will pm you why since your character is programmed with info. only if you want that is) Celia said with a cross of her arms. She was not going to let her ground fall. She had been ordered around too much already in her life and she was going to get away from it. "Now.... follow us..... or get left behind.... Same thing I told him"She said as she started walking.

Selik stood on a metal grate as he listened to the headmaster drone on, he picked up on the important parts like the silver chess piece, the Grim and the mafia men. His head swiveled around to check out each of the freshmen surrounding him before the ground suddenly dropped out below him in a gust of wind and he was swallowed up by pure darkness.

A painfully dark minute passed, just before the next one came the light came back into Selik's world and he was spewed out into a musty warehouse through a hole in the floor. The metal lid clasped close with a loud clunk immediately behind the jumbled pile of Selik.

It took the dark haired youth a few minutes to get his senses back after the 'aggressive' landing he was given but once Selik had righted himself and dusted his clothes off he began to pick up on some voices in the near distance. Peering out of a cracked window he saw a red-haired girl in a some-what aggressive stance talking to another girl wearing an annoyed scowl with some guy sporting light, blueish hair.

He looked to the left, no doors to the outside but a few rooms that might lead out, then he looked to the right, a fire door dug into the flaking, concrete wall about 15 feet out so he jogged over with his ax and shield bouncing with a metallic clatter as crossed the distance and shoulder through the faded, red door. No alarm, good thing too if what the headmaster said about how crime ridden the streets here are then keeping a low profile would be for the best.

Selik tried to stick to the shadows and stay quiet on his approach, his short ax in hand just in case. Selik was never much for stealth but he knew it at least, so it wouldn't surprise him if they weren't surprised by him.

The gap was almost closed, within conversation distance now but they were starting to go on the move.

"Am I late to the party?" he asked giving a curt wave with his free hand as he approached from the rear of the group.

Azure Seaux

Fluffy white ears bounced and twitched, taking in the voices of the eager students on the metal grate with her. The petite faunus, was near the end of the line up, and could hear and tune into each of their conversations. Some of the newbies already new eachother, or had just became friends. There were a variety of topics floating about, but Azure heard three major ones. One was about their weapons, and their inspiration behind it, another was the gossip of who dislikes who, and the last one was of who they hoped to get in teams with. But the voices had begun to hush when the headmaster gave a quick befriefing on their objective,'Retrieve the piece,' she repeated in her head. Her frosty, sapphire eyes blinked, staring into a colorless void. However when she moved her eyes toward the line of students, her "vision" gained all types of clashes of colors. Red, blue, green, orange, and some colors in between. Some auras buzzed and wiggled, matching the excitement of their owners, others lazily waved to their own calm tempo of their tranquil owners. The tiny faunus sighed where she stood, her hands stiffly placed in front of her lap. She was much shorter compared to those on her left and right, and most probably saw her as a child.

The energy of the occupying the small area was uplifting and happy, but because there were so many students concentrated in one space emitting this atmosphere, it was overwhelming, and made her rather nervous. She shifted her weight, her white tail swishing with anticipation. Azure couldnt help but wonder why she had to come all the way to Haven. She wanted to stay in Atlas, in a place she knew very well. To a blind girl, coming to Haven, a very unfamiliar place, was more daunting than it seemed.

Azure's ears perked as she picked up the sounds of air moving, and the vibrations of said air forming a vacuum. And following the sound, came the "good lucks" exchanging from one student to another. Suddenly the shy girl was more intimidated than ever. Heterochromic eyes glanced at the distorted shapes that resembled people. And one by one, they began to disappear. Her sensitive skin tingled with the sudden pressure change that took place beaide her. Which only meant she was next...

The couple seconds before dropping felt like 5 minutes. Part of her wondered when it was going to happen already, while the other half didnt want it to happen at all. Then she heard the mechanisms beneath her begin to move preparing to remove the floor under feet. There was an audible click...followed by more silence...then WHOOSH! Azure let out a yelp of surprise as soon as she felt a breif weightlessness. That was something she did not like to feel, to her, it was almost as bad as swimming... Wind flooded her ears and tickled her nose. Her hands pushed against either side of her, feeling the tube she was in, and trying to control her speed. After some time, her weight started to shift when the density of gravity did so. She determined that she went from a 90 degree drop, to a 45 one, still picking up speed. She pushed with more force, fighting the laws of physics. Forty-five degrees turned to about 30, about the angle of a childrens slide. Now that the incline had reduced she had a chance of slowing down. Up ahead, there was an echo of the moving air. Where ever she was going to land, it was in an open space. She grew closer, and closer, until she managed to slow herself into a stop. Her feet dangled off the tube's edge and the fox released a huff of relief, thankful she didnt go flying out the tube,"It worked..." she panted.

After taking a couple moments to gather her bearings after the adrenaline rush, she scooted forward and landed with both feet planted on the floor, the echo of her feet resounded and bounced off the walls...strange. The comfort of having ground beneath her was comforting and she could feel the vibrations that ran along it. Azure stopped for a moment, her luminous blue eyes scanning the open area, ears perked, her nose twiching, she was trying to assess her environment...'Water dripping in the distance,' an ear twitched, 'damp smell of moss,' she took a deep breath, closing her eyes. With information pouring in from her senses Azure concluded she was in a cave of some sort. The timy girl reopened her milky eyes when her skin detected a subtle draft in air,"The way out" she whispered. But in the cave, a whisper carried itself and amplified. Her ears rotated and turned everytime her voice bounced off the rocky walls and back to her, capturing the sound of her own voice. There wasnt a moment to lose, and the faunus knew she had to get going if there was any chance of snagging a team mate. Her short legs began their trek, following the air flow that most wouldnt even feel, her steps echoing in the cave. To others, walking in a dark cave would seem challenging or unconvenient, but Azure spent her whole visual life in a dark cave, so this was neither frightening nor difficult. The fox's ears served as radar dishes on her head, as her steps echoed, the sound would travel and come back at different times helping her move around obstacles and such. In short, her steps worked as sonar, and her ears were recieving the information while her brain mapped out where rocks and other objects were in her path (so that she wouldnt trip or stumble over them).

It was a short walk to the exit, but when she reached it, she felt a bit of relief come over her. Again she took in her environment. Naturally, she knew she was outside in the open, cave exits wouldnt lead to a room or building. Birds chirped in the tops of trees, the sun lovingly kissed her skin with its warmth after being in a cold cave. The area seemed peaceful, but it all came to a halt, 'Energy approaching,' an internal radar went off. In a split second, her gaze shifted off to the side, her bangs swishing over her eyes with the quick head movement. Her ear rotated toward the side she directed her attention to. A cave ursa, charging her from behind, must have been deeper in the cave and caught her scent. Azure picked up one pistol from her holster, and feeling the vibrations of the ground, and the sound of it's snarls, she was able to pin point where it was. One, two, and then three bullets were fired. She heard each one of them ricochet off the armored plate on its head. She moved on to plan B, now that her opponent was closer. Azure unholstered the other pistol, and with a flick of both wrists, made them extend into short swords (or long daggers). Spinning the two, they unfolded and she clicked them together to form her beloved trident, holding it behind her with one hand. The ursa continued, charging with an open open mouth, letting out a thunderous growl. The beast chomped down, aiming for the small girl's head, but Azure ducked beneath him, his chest at her face. The faunus spun the trident around infront of her, and gave one good jab, making the Ursa howl in pain and rear up on its hind legs. In frustration, the beast swiped the weapon out of the future huntress' hands. The three pronged spear spun in the air and landed with the sharp end in the ground. Azure gasped and faced in the direction where she heard Gem o' The Ocean land, breifly forgetting the Ursa was there. When the creature let out another howl, Azure dove to the side and tumble rolled to aboid another swipe of its massive paw, landing on bent over on her two feet with one hand on the ground. The fur on her tail puffed and her ears pinned flat against her head. She flashed her long inscisors in annoyance, upset the bear disarmed her. Azure glanced quickly at her weapon, she was even farther away from it and grunted at the inconvenience. The energy-sensitive faunus felt the negative energy of the Ursa spike up when it realized he missed his mark and the girl was still alive. Blinded by rage he charged again, faster than the first time. The grey energy surrounding it was flaming with anger. Fox ears perked, and Azure turned, running at full speed to the tree behind her. When she was close enough, she jumped and climbed up the rest of the way, into a branch to buy her some time to think.

Her eyes darted, looking for a way around this. The Ursa came to a screeching halt beneath her, kicking up dust. His red eyed turned up to look at her, and roared at the fact he was tricked yet again. The bear stood on his hind quarters, and with as much force and brute strength it had, pushed at the base of the tree. The tree shook, making Azure cling for dear life. Her breathing quickened, she needed to think of something. Heterochromic eyes looked at the grey blob under her, pushing with all its might. Then her eyes trailed along the ground, looking to seeing the black, straight line that was her sword, jutting out from the earthy floor. 'Thats it!' she perked at the thought of a plan. Slowly and carefully, she slid her feet sideways to move to the edge of the branch, the tree still jerking from the Ursa. The more he pushed the more Azure began to hear wood splitting. Leaves drifted to the ground with every shake. Poor tree. At last the bear's effort paid off, the tree was snapped in half and started to fall forward. Time felt like it had significantly slowed for the huntress. As the tree fell forward, she was falling closer to her weapon. The Grimm under her watched his enemy fall from the tree and turned to go after her once more. When the tree was low enough, the swift fox pushed off the branch, launching herself to her trident. She landed, tumbling rolling again, and stood up with her weapon in hand. She blew a piece of her white hair out of her face, eyebrows pinched together, eyes narrowed, and a tight-lipped line for her mouth. Shes had enough of this guy. With the creature still coming after her, she faced the a differet tree behind her, took off with a running start, and pushed off the trunk, a little ways into the air. The instant she was above her opponent, Azure dove for him, trident first, and pierced the back of the Ursa's neck. The Ursa's growl diminished into a gurgle and then silence. She stood on its back, pushing on her weapon until the beast collapsed beneath her feet, loose dirt plumed from under the bear.

Azure stood there for a moment, both hands on the shaft of her wepon, her head hung low between her arms. She blinked at the bear's back, watching his energy dissipate. She panted heavily, the encounter went by so fast, it was nothing more than a blurr now. Her body trembled with adrenaline surging through her. The petite girl shut her eyes and fell back, sprawled out on the bear's large back to catch her breath.

(Sorry my intros are always long xD )

Cruor, although standing at attention, was surprised when he was the next to fall into the tube. After a few moments of floundering around in the tube, he found himself plunged into some sort of cave. However, since he wasn't able to slow down, he was sent straight into a rocky wall before falling next to something hairy. With a groan he sat up and looked around, finding himself next to a large, dead Ursa. Shakily, he stood and looked around, not noticing the girl sprawled on the creatures back. "Ah...What the hell..."

(Ah shit I'm late. Sorry)

Kris was one of the last ones to be blasted down through the tubes. He had prepared his sword before orientation to make sure it was sharpened ahead of time. Depending on the amount of Grimm, he would have his hands full for a while. Kris's strategy was to defend himself so he can get farther into the forest. The farther he can get, the more likely the chance of running into someone to partner up with.

Kris wasn't very excited. Don't blame him, this initiation was a great test for his skills to be evaluated. What he wasn't excited about was teaming up with 3 other students. He worked best on his own, at his own pace. Kris sighed. Maybe he will meet some other people that he can relate to in tastes.

Kris landed in a small clearing in the forest. He could already tell that the place was crawling with Grimm. He pulled out his sword and look around the landscape. "Clear for now." Kris began to ran towards the dense forest in front of him.

Selik looked over the motley crew with a measure of dismay, he had high expectations for his teammates and they didn't quite fit the bill.

"Name's Selik," he said after deciding how he felt about them, they could have potential after all.

"I'm a tourist so I don't have much for leads on Grim around here, how about you guys?"

Ellie had kept a wide distance from her younger brother since orientation, she didn't want to have to set him straight unless she had to.

Standing over her grate as student after student was sucked into the Earth she prepared herself for the inevitable. The sudden drop and blowback of air still caught her off guard when it was her turn to get pulled into the network of tubes.

Haven wasn't her first choice for her training academy by far, but family was family and her mother had entrusted her to protect Selak. Well, keep him alive at least.

The overwhelming dark inside the air tube was starting to get to Ellie when the eternity finally passed and broke into daylight. She was thrown at a steep angle up into the canopy of a couple of trees apart of a wooded marsh.

Ellie caught a few branches and a tree trunk that left her slightly battered and bruised but her aura absorbed most of the damage. Shaking it off she dropped down to the spongy moss floor with her deep red fox ears locked upright in search of nearby sounds.

Naga was incredibly annoyed at the fact that he wasn't getting usual three cups and half an hour but he wasn't going to let it get to him so easily. The walk through the mud was also a minor annoyance but he has been through so much just to let something faze him. "So... We have a human, a fox that looks like he only cares about poking me and his tail, and... A wolf?" Naga began gently smelling the air with his tongue for Ivory. "Well, we are stuck together for about four years so why not explain ourselves. We already have names so we can just talk about other stuff, like these these things." Nudging the sword on his back.

"She calls herself Semper Fidelis," Sable said in her alto, shaking her weapon as she trudged in what she hoped was the direction of the water temple. "I call her my best friend. Heavy weapon, .50 caliber bullets, explosive charges. I'm going to get her model added to Mistral's military, and we're going to make history together. Speaking of history, anyone here study military history? There's something that's been bugging me about the finale of the Great War..."

As a 'Demonstration' of his beautiful weapons, he grabbed both of his handguns, and popped out the mags about an inch, to make sure that they were ice mags. He popped them back in, and turned around, shooting @Deltorian Nephran in the foot. There was no pain, just extreme cold, a extra 5 or 10 pounds on his foot, and a big chunk of ice that ruptured his ability to walk. He put the guns away, "Team bonding. Yeah right." He said mockingly, as he began to pet his tail again. @Mollisol @Syrina

(@Wolfy21 Mother, I tagged you in this for multiple reasons. 1) To show you RWBY Doesn't suck. 2) To show you what a standard post looks like. 3) Because I know it will annoy you. )
