Hi, I'm making a CS now but I have a couple of questions. How long has it been since the Leviathan occured? Also, what types of weapons are most common, laser weapons or modern guns?

I want to say Nearing Half a Year since the occurrence. Any weapons that can be scavenged or built. If you can find a Laser Gun or Plasma weapon which were common for warfare, then great. If you can only find an old flintlock, oh well. If you are a weapons specialist and you can make weapons, even better.

Ok my guy will be in a high grade weapons facility that still operating and he's been there a couple of weeks getting past all the security.

The Only things that are still Operating are A.I. Programs set up right before the Leviathan. Should I add that for the Neutral Characters for you? I'm sure some greedy Businessman would've wanted to keep his facility going so that he could make money after everything settled down.

Precisely. Don't worry, eventually you'll get used to the concept. Though the A.I. System that Runs the Security and the one that runs the Manufacturing and Storing of the Weapons may be two different Programs.

Hm my guys going after the stash of prototype weapons for a project he's working on that the defense A.I is guarding so maybe after that he'll see what he can do with the manufacturing A.I If that's alright?

I really don't see how plasma, and balistic weapons are compatible in the least. Balistic, and laser/pulse could be with proper barrle reinforcment, but plasma requires a special mechanisim that isn't in the slightest way similar to projectile weapons

@Revan The Courier In regards to my rifle, would changing it to a ballistic/laser weapon be more appropriate? Thank you for accepting me, @Dethrix I'll be reading the extra Lore stuff soon.

A laser pulse can be created with chemical reactions. In theory you could have 'laser point' ammunition but not a true laser/ballistic weapon.


 
I also don't believe any player should have military grade gear at the beginning anyway. I plan on most of my drones getting destroyed early on, and my character's pistol is more of a science laser.


 
Also in theory plasma point ammunition is also possible but unlikely due to the fact that a single round would be so bulky that you would need to make a special weapon just to fire it, and then at that point it is more practical to just make a plasma rifle instead

Sorry, I'm not trying to be rude. I'm just explaining my understanding of scI fi weaponry. I don't mind him having military grade gear. I just have a problem with things that just don't make sense, and I want to help everyone understand this stuff better. I'm a bit of an expert in scifi weapons

Nah, Doggies Going to live. I'm not heartless... Well. Hmm. Eh. It might die. It really depends. Count on it losing a limb though.
