~Tobias Genesi~
The sky was a milky grey, with a slight breeze weaving through the atmosphere. The docks were crowded, filled with the strangest looking creatures in the universe. You could see a few mythical creatures here, hybrids of all kinds over there, and let's not forget the witches and mages. There was one particular boy, who looked like any other normal human being. Dark blonde hair with light tips, bold frame and murky blue eyes; it seemed nothing was unique about him.
His name was Tobias Genesi, and he was a genie.
Tobias glanced down at his golden wrist bands, which were engraved with swirling, beautiful designs. He was cursed with these bands. He had no free will, and ultimately, no control over his powers. Those are controlled by his wisher. It was Tobias's first time in LPA, and on Earth, even though he had studied much about the planet and it's workings.
Tobias picked up both suitcases, things humans used to carry possessions. He started to follow everyone to the ship, catching an exchange between what seemed two brothers. The younger one was excited for the new school year, while the older, much mature one, had told him to quiet down.
Tobias smiled wearily to himself, thinking of his own opinion of the new school year. What he hoped, was that no one would abuse his powers, like other kids did when he went to other academies back in the supernatural world. Tobias tried to flit away the memories of being bullied and pushed around in three schools he's been in. Every time he's entered a new school, with high hopes, they've always been crushed down all over again.
Tobias hoped this would be it. Maybe here, he would be accepted, and not abused for his powers.
~Tobias Genesi~
My wants and needs don't matter, thought Tobias bitterly, thinking of his lost free will and enslavement to the wisher.
Fists knotted, he watched as the girl leaned against the railing behind her, her fake smile and piercing glare unnerving Tobias. If this was his home-world, he would've given the first punch. But this was Earth. Glares were interpreted differently here, and it was hard to get used to. Tobias sensed someone near him, another girl, who was watching the entire scene unfold. Tobias knew this wasn't the best first impression, and it wasn't a good thing. Tobias's eyes narrowed as the railing turned white with ice, tiny crystals rising from the wood, sharp and deadly, despite their size. It was evident she was a manipulator of ice, with a strange accent the genie had never heard before. Tobias clenched his jaw, feeling his blood boil with limitless power, transferring to the palms of his hands. If he was going to go through with this, he was going to fight fire with ice. He recalled the rules of the wristbands:
He wasn't allowed to harm the wisher in any way and he wasn't allowed to disobey, or go against the wisher. There were more, but those were the main two. He had been living with these rules for two years now. Some of the wishers he has had were abusive people, bullies, who forced him to make him do things he hated to do, but he could do nothing about it. He lived by the rules, and ultimately had no free will. He was at the mercy of the wisher. Such a cruel existence.
But this girl wasn't his wisher, nor did she know that he was a genie. In fact, she had no idea she could easily win this over with a simple, 'I wish'. And Tobias wasn't about to let her find out.
Fire appeared in his hands, his blue eyes alight with hostility, ready.
(Are they really going to fight? @Ms. Sparrow I'm up for it if you are, but if not, maybe @FrostFire or @PrincessKarai8 can step in and break it up.)
((You read my mind lol))
Cleo foolishly jumped between the two, too caught up in the moment to remember she didn't have any powers yet.
Her sisters rushed over too, Brigette, being the pyroknetic and hot head she was, wanted to join the fight. The other sister, Penelope, however wanted to break it up.
Spotting Cleo jump between the two quarreling teenagers, they surrounded her in protective stances.
"Now, come on guys. We haven't even left for the school yet." Penny stated calmly, her electric blue eyes flashing with worry.
"Could you show me that ice magic?" Cleo asked boldly, stepping away from her sister's and towards the brunette before them. Then spinning towards the blonde guy, she asked, "And could you show me some more of that fire?"
Owen, the youngest and only make Williamson sibling, stood off to the side, watching the scene unfold. He then spots the green haired girl, intrigued by her appearance.
((I'll make a form for the sisters very soon. One for the brother as well))
Poppy had gotten to school a little early that day, and had ended up checking and rechecking her favorite hiding spots. They had all remained untouched, their supplies the same as how she left them. She had made these spaces to be her and her friends hideouts, only accessible with her certain type of power. Not a lot of people had it, so they were generally safe.
Plus, she had some bomb make out sessions in them before.
Poppy was looking forward to the coming year, the new people that she could meet and old friends she could find again.
Poppy woke up from her daydream to find herself in the larger hideout, a couch against the dusty wall and a perma-light floating around the room. A gift, from one of the light witches that she befriended last year.
The blonde sat up, the couch groaning underneath her. She yawned, stretching her arms and slowly standing up. People would be arriving soon. Poppy figured she could go introdcue herself to them, as it was the least she could do.
Poppy walked towards walk right of the couch, knowing that on the other side, one of the many hallways of the academy would lay. As she approached it, the mage swiped her hand, the wall almost dissapearing in front of her. Though it was still there, to Poppy, it appeared as almost an archway. The wall had become see through, and the colors of the hallway swirled like reflections in unsteady water. Poppy walked through, a wave of power pressing through her. She had gotten used to the feeling, as she used her ability so much already.
Stepping ou into the hallway, she didn't see anyone at the moment. She decided to go to the courtyard, where most of the people would be hanging around.
