The second is that if GrieveWriter doesn't/cant participate could I then have Rick?

First - Yessss! There's always more room!... Unless everyone on RPN decides they want to join overnight, in which case we might get a little overcrowded But if it comes to that, we can always apply for a hosted Project I guess, so yes! There's always more room!

So, I made a first post, I'm sorry, It's awful! I've never been great with beginnings, I'm much better when I start interacting with people and all that, so I promise I'll improve
So, the idea is for everyone to get a few posts to get the feel for their characters in their own universe, and after a short amount of time there'll be an event. (Something like, Ford's teleporter is reconstructed and fires off, sucking everyone from Gravity Falls to Rick and Morty, or Rick mistypes his coordinates into his portal gun that causes people from Gravity falls to get stranded there). The idea is that the Gravity Falls crew will probably get stuck with Rick and Morty, just because it seems to fit the best, after all, Ford doesn't seem to be the type to willingly allow Mabel and Dipper to join him on adventures with Rick, considering the danger of the whole scenario, but that bit is still being touched up, so if anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears!

I'd be fine with keeping them separate if a few more of each universe's respective characters were present, but seeing as we're kinda shorthanded rn, perhaps merging them soon is a good idea.
