Realistic or Modern Retaliation

Sarah was lounging on her bed, surfing the web on her laptop when she heard her older sister Lexi call out asking if anyone was home. A small smile grew on her face. Everyone was home, but nobody communicated with each other. Sarah didn't put in the effort to call back out to Lexi, and instead turned her back to her door. She kept on glancing at the time, wanting the reunion to start now. She wanted to see the people that actually made her feel genuinely happy. She was more than ready to see her friends Benji, Brec, Amanda, and Hunter. She was also excited to talk to the rest, and find out how they are, and what they've been up to.

She thought to herself, noticing the time to go was approaching. Sarah hesitated, inwardly debating. At last she made a decision and slowly got up off her bed and walked outside the room. She went downstairs to where her parents were filing important papers and looked at them. She hated approaching them. This was hard for her to do. Sarah cleared her throat. "Er, Mom? Dad?" She bit her lip. The two of them glanced up ever so slightly then returned to their papers. Her mother said,"Yes dear?" Sarah narrowed her eyes. She hated when they called her that. They had no right. "It's, um, time to go." This made them look up. "Time to go?" Her dad asked. Already, Sarah's anger flared. "Yes! To the reunion! It's today! Did you really forget!? Come on, let's go!" She demanded then stormed away outside to her car. She was going whether they came or not. She passed Cameron on the way outside and muttered, "You better make it to the reunion too..." She exited the house, and headed out to her vehicle. Sarah got inside, then began driving to the Parker's.

Finishing up her last homework problem, Ashlynn heard her phone buzz. She picked it up, and raised an eyebrow noticing a text from Quentin. Reading it, she looked at the time. It was time to go. Ashlynn texted him back, "I'm going to get Mom and Dad to take me and Emet to the Parker's. You all better be there!" She sent the text, then suddenly she heard a shout. She stood up and looked out her window to see Ace raising his arms and yelling. She furrowed her eyebrows, slightly amused then opened her window, "Ace, what are you doing!?" She laughed softly. "Hey, it's time to go to the Parker's! ... You're going right!?" She called out to him. She studied him, wondering what trouble he had been in before. Ashlynn knew her brother well enough to know that he was almost always in trouble.

Amanda stayed in her house, waiting patiently for people to arrive {lost.}

Violet, ignoring most of her family decided to go to the Parkers at that time. Pushing her hair back, she put on her roller blades and made her way towards their house, the path already in her mind. When she made it, she offered a small smile as she rang the doorbell.

[[sorry if what i says doesnt match up..-]]

Quentin Jameson

He gave Benji a polite smile before awkwardly entering the Parker household, and turned to his brother and muttered, "I knew I shouldn't have picked you up so early. We're the first ones here," Just then, the much awaited text from his sister came, telling them that she was going with Mom, Dad, and Emet and that they better be at the Parker's house. Quentin smiled at his phone, texting her back, Way ahead of you, sis. Already here. Quentin looked around the room as he stuffed his phone back in his pocket. The younger Parker girl, Amanda, stood next to her sister Ingrid, ready to help. He didn't really remember the two of them, but at least he knew a few basic facts about them. Their faces were familiar too. Quentin made eye contact with Benji for just a second, when he suddenly stood up and told Hunter that he needed to go to the bathroom. It was a sure and quiet way to avoid conversation, and even though he hated leaving his brother behind to fend for himself, he really didn't feel like making uncomfortable small talk with anyone at the moment. Hopefully, the others would get there by the time he came back from the restroom.

"Yeah, I know I am." Hunter beamed with pride at his older brothers compliment. His face remained delighted until Quentin mentioned Ashlynn and Emet. Shit. Mom told me to remind Quentin to pick up Emet from school on our way to the Parker's. Uhhh... I'll just text Ashlynn. She's probably still at school studying or something. Hunter whipped his phone out and sent a frantic text to Ashlynn:

Mom said you were supposed to pick up Emet from school today and take him to the Parker's.

Hunter figured his sister wouldn't mind. Plus, his parents wouldn't remember who they told to pick up Emet that morning anyway so it didn't matter that he lied. Satisfied, Hunter locked his phone and headed up to the door behind Quentin. When Benjamin opened the door, Hunter sighed loudly. It was going to be a long night. "Ladies first," He snickered at Quentin and motioned for his brother to go inside first.

The house was nice. Well, it would have been nicer if Hunter had Peyton and a 6-pack of beer at his side. When his brother mentioned being the first one here, Hunter sighed loudly. "It's not my fault you drive faster then a professional on the last lap of the Indy 500..." He muttered back, flopping down onto a coach and pulling out his phone. Then, of course, Quentin pulled the old bathroom card. Ugh. As he walked by Hunter, the young boy made an action that strongly resembles a few short coughs with the word "Coward" smashed quietly between them. Quentin would have easily heard it and probably just laughed it off, but Hunter was fairly sure no one else heard.

Cameron raised an eyebrow as his sister mentioned a reunion. He must not have gotten the memo. Not like there was anything better to do, so Cameron decided that he would make an appearance. There were a couple of stops in order before he made his way to the Parker residence, however. The first thing in order was a shower. After a quick clean up, Cameron picked out the clothes that he was going to wear. Various choices, all of which seemed more enticing than the last. Ultimately, the man would decide on the classy approach. White casual shirt, black vest. Tie? Check. Over it, Cameron would wear his varsity jacket. Dark blue jeans brought the look together quite nicely, in his opinion. Some Burberry cologne would be applied to his neck and wrists, before he decided to gather some of his belongings.

A couple pre-rolled blunts? That was vital. Marijuana smoke followed Cameron to a lot of social gatherings; though it certainly had not to more cordial events. Since he was not licensed to fight professionally, he was still allowed such freedom. It was one of the better choices that Cameron had made, to wait for the right opportunity to go pro. When he was ready, he would bust through the scene and beat up everyone in his way to get to a title. Who knows? Maybe if boxing was something that he was good at, he could even extend his skill set to the big show - and be the fighter he bets on who wins in the octagon.

Keys and wallet were the final two objects to be withdrawn before Cameron walked out of his garage. Clicking the unlock button to his whip, Cameron walked up to his car and pulled the handle to open the door. Then, he plopped himself down in the driver's seat and backed out of his driveway before hauling off. The roads weren't so bad, though they were clearer at the portions of the day which followed rush hour. Pulling into the parking lot of a local alcohol store, Cameron eventually made his way inside to purchase some gifts to bring with him to the shindig. One big brown bag and five bottles of various types of liquor later, Cameron was finally back in his vehicle and ready to make his appearance.

Being sure to lower his hip-hop music as he turned into the neighborhood, the Ghost would be parked alongside the house, on the street. As he opened the door, Cameron also popped the trunk. Hands wrapped around the big brown paper bag before Cameron took to the driveway as his path to the front door.

Benjamin closed the door after the brothers entered. He grabbed a chip and stuck it in his mouth as he looked outside a window. Benji stayed quiet for a moment then took a small bite from the chip and moved it away. "So . . . Emet coming?" Benji asked Hunter before seeing a figure move from the side of his eyes through one of the windows. He nudged Ingrid, "Look Cameron brought stuff". The teen was unaware of what Cameron was actually carrying.

Ingrid Parker

Ingrid had been leaning against the counter when Benjamin nudged her, saying, "Look, Cameron bought stuff." She followed Benji's gaze and looked out the window. Cameron was, indeed, carrying a brown paper bag which was probably the "stuff" that her brother was talking about. "Hm, wonder what it is. Should I open the door for him?" she tilted her head to Benji, then looked around. Her dads were busy making preparations, Benji and Amanda were right beside her, Hunter was on the couch, and Quentin was in the bathroom. She inwardly wished there were more people, more girls from the family group right now. She wasn't friends with many of the guys, save for Benji.

"Well I don't see why not- wait" Benji paused for a bit to think. His scanned the area as Cameron approached. Only him with no one else, big brown unlabeled bag, and . . . Cameron. He thought to himself then blinked a couple of times in order to snap himself back into reality. "Better to be safe than sorry Ingrid. Ya never know what's inside. Let's picture worst case scenario. Pretty sure once dad or pop notice the big bag then they'll put it there and let the parents drink later eh? Easy as that or they'd look deeper and wonder why in the heck he's driving that stuff around two ages below the limit" Benji said finishing the one chip. "So, which one of us is going out to him huh?" He asked looking at Cameron's distance then at Ingrid.

Brec and her mother arrived at the Parker residence after her father and Nora arrived. When her mother parked the car then started to talk to her. "Now while we are here I want you to be on your best behavior...no talking smack or being rude...we don't want a bad image...alright?" Her mother told her while collecting her things from the car. Brec rolled her eyes since she has heard this so many times "Yes mom I promise to be the angel you used to have before she got hurt..." She told her looking at her nonchalantly. Her mother was hurt by was she said but she masked it by fixing her dress and walking to the Parker's home. Brec walked inside after her and her mother were invited in and started heading to where the others were. When she got there she saw Amanda, Ingrid, Benjamin and Hunter. You'd rarely see Brec in a dress, she'a not a huge fan but on special occasions she will wear one. "Don't you dare say anything about me wearing a dress or I will cut all of you...got it?" She said walking over to them a small smirk forming on her face.

Benji gave Brec a thumbs up. "Got it. Pretty as always Brec" He said smiling innocently then waving at Mrs. Santini. "So sis? Now we definitely gotta pull through. Or ya know what? Just wing it and see what happens. Whatever" Benji suggested with a random change of mind after sitting on the couch.

Greyson sat in the driver's seat and turned the engine on. He glanced at the car's rear view mirror to see his mom looking out the window with a slightly saddened facial expression. Grey sighed before rolling the window down and calling out to his sister, "Tris come on!". His gaze shifted back to the mirror, "Are you okay?" Ms. Callahan looked at her son through the rear view mirror and smiled a bit. "You two have grown" She started before looking off to the side and immediately ending her response. "Are you excited?" Grey asked trying to get his mother conditioned before seeing the rest of the group again. "A bit. It's been ten years since we've seen each other and since . . . your dad left us" The mother said bowing her head down. Greyson furrowed his brows and gripped the steering wheel at the mention of their inconsiderate father. "We don't need him. Stop remembering him" Grey said in a low voice. "TRIS!" He called out once more. She needs to change her last name. He thought glancing back at his mother then looking at the steering wheel.

Ingrid Parker

Ingrid smiled at Brec's opening statement as she entered the house. She was wearing a dress, and Ingrid guessed she didn't want anyone making any jokes or remarks about it. It was alright though, she looked good in it. Benji, who was next to her, asked her whether they should just wing it. Ingrid nodded, "Yeah, I don't think the adults will be checking, anyway. The last time we had a family group get together, the adults had their own little conversation and they left the rest of us in the other room. They probably won't even notice Cameron's paper bag,"

Amanda ran down the stairs, hearing door open and noise of people walking in. She smiled, finally in her outfit and with her makeup done. Running down the tall stairs, she hugged ingrid from behind as she watched the few guests that had already arrived come in. "Oh~!" She smirked, looking down at the brown bag Cameron was holding that was teasing her. "Did someone bring beer?" She asked with another small smirk.

Violet ><

Ingrid Parker

Ingrid almost jumped when she felt two arms embrace her from behind, but as she turned she realized it was only her sister, then smiled. She leaned against the counter, arms crossed as she watched Amanda walk over to Cameron, asking about beer. Knowing that their dads might hear about the bag full of alcohol, she shot a look at Amanda's way and pressed her index finger over her mouth in a shushing motion, trying to warn her not to be so loud.

Quentin Jameson

Quentin returned from the bathroom and found that there were at least two more people who came while he was gone, much to his delight. So far, Brec and Cameron were the only new guests there. As he approached the spot on the couch beside Hunter, he noticed there was a bag beside Cameron full of... booze? He found that his suspicions were right. As he took his seat he spotted varying types of alcohol sittting in Cameron's bag, in plain sight of everyone who was in the living room. Quentin then figured that if he was going to get through this family thing, he might as well have something to get him going. He leaned back in his seat stretching, then yawned. Not having caught the memo earlier about why no one should comment on Brec wearing a dress, he commented on Brec wearing a dress.

"Hey, that's different. You look nice in a dress, Brec."

Amanda looked back at ingrid, Confused at her sisters harsher reaction. "Oh, come on." She teased, looking back at the bag. "Its not like they can stop some of us from having some." She said with a pout, looking back at her sister mischeviously. "Worse case scenario, we'll steal some from downstairs, or we'll just go buy some more~!"

Violet ><

Lexi Montreal

Lexi shrugs her shoulders as she recieved no reply and headed towards her bedroom. She wasn't surprised no one replied to her. Big chance Cameron was in the garage, or what he'd like to call his apartment. She had absolutely no idea where Sarah or Violet was. She lets out a small sigh, "Today is going to be a big day.." She mutters, walking towards her wardrobe. She opens the door and pulls out a random outfit, already having it matched with a pair of bottoms and tops. She liked to organise her outfits where she didn't have to find two seperate things and take time. "This is nice." She smiles before changing out her previous outfit and into the outfit she pulled out. She barely wore any makeup except for eyeliner and mascara. She didn't like it that's why

Once she got changed, she grabbed her car keys and camera, because that was pretty much all she needed and headed out her bedroom door. Before she left the house, she headed to the kitchen. She may, or may have not, made a snack for the reunion. 'There was going to be food there, right? So why not?' She laughs a little bit as she heads to the pantry to grab the cookies she had made. Some were milk chocolate chip cookies and the other were white chocolate chip cookies. She made her way out of the house which took a couple minutes due to how big it was. She looks around a moment and spots Cameron's car gone, along with Sarah's. 'Were they already at the reunion?' She shakes her head and lets the roof top open automatically when she unlocks the car, getting inside and driving off. To the Parker's house.

Nora stepped to the side, letting her sister be the center of attention. Honestly, it was better that way anyway. She forgot how many kids there were going to be at the reunion. Just the Jamesons alone could probably qualify as their own family reunion. Her parents seemed excited though, working their way into the house and chatting with the other family's parents. It had probably been hard for them, being away from their friends when everyone moved.

Ingrid Parker

Ingrid laughed at her sister's excitedness. "You know what's not fun? Getting caught. Anyway, I'm all up for drinking but we'll probably have to keep that while our parents are around." she said, as she sat on the arm of the couch beside the younger Jameson brother. It took Ingrid a moment to notice Nora was standing by the doorway, and she smiled. "Hey Nora," she greeted, "Didn't see you there for a sec."

"Hi Ingrid. Fancy seeing you here." It had meant to be some sort of a joke, but came out sounding wrong. She at least wanted to try and cover it up. "So," she added. "how's the family been?" It was a really generic question, but she was hoping that she made it seem at least a little bit genuine. Nora pushed a long lock of crazy curly hair out of her face. Looking back, it would have probably been a good decision to at least try to pull it back.

As Lexi parked up to the Parker's house, she already sees that a couple of people are here like Cameron and Sarah but doesn't know who the other cars belong too. 'I'm just a couple of steps away from meeting everyone.' That thought made her shudder a little bit as she got out her car, grabbing the cookies and her camera before locking it. She takes a small deep breath then walked towards the door of the house and stood there for a moment, debating whether to just walk in or knock. She shrugs her shoulders and chooses to walk inside and she's immediately hit by the sound of people talking.

Amanda rolled her eyes and hughed her sister tighter. "Of course We'll be careful! But im really in the mood to get drunk tonight! Im sure you are, too~." She teased. Yet another person walked through the door. "Nora~! Hey~!" She smiled. "Fancy seeing you here!"

Ingrid Parker

Ingrid patted Amanda's back as she hugged her. Ingrid wasn't much of the hugging type, but her sister was an exception to the no-hugging rule."Well, I didn't expect to bump into you here either," Ingrid replied and smiled at Nora, "Well, the family's doing okay, except our parents have had their panties in a twist ever since they planned this get together thing. I'm pretty relieved it's finally here so everyone could just get it over with, you know?" Ingrid tapped her fingers against her knee in a mindless beat, and found herself searching for her trusty old leather-bound notebook in her satchel. She took it out and glanced at it for second, then placed it back in her bag. There wasn't really much in it; just a bunch of sketches, some notes, and some entries here and there. It'd be there if she wanted to avoid conversation or had the urge to distract herself, at the least.

Quentin Jameson

Quentin scrolled through his playlist, stuffing an earphone in each ear. The song Breezeblocks by Alt-J started playing as he leaned his head on a hand. He was bored out of his mind. Quentin started skipping songs on his phone over and over, until he heard the knock on the door and looked up. Lexi was at the doorway. Finally, he thought, more people.

Hunter Jameson

Hunter was too busy scrolling through his Twitter feed to realize that Benjamin was talking to him "Huh? Uh... What? Yeah... Sure..." His eyes flashed towards Benjamin with an annoyed look. Stop trying to act cool already gosh. When the door opened again, Hunter looked up to see Cameron walking in with a brown paper bag. That could only mean one thing.

"Sweet! Cameron brought beer!" Hunter exclaimed a little too loudly as Quentin returned and sat down next to him. After nudging his older brother with his elbow, Hunter flashed Cameron a grin. "Got any Miller Light??"

Tris Callahan

Tris couldn't hold a straight face as her brother picked her up and flung her over his shoulder. . . Just like dad used to do. She tried to shake the thought out of her mind. He was gone. Get over it. He set her down gently and she made a few just minute adjustments to her messy ponytail. After a few bobby pins and an old ball cap, Greyson was beginning to yell at her. "I'm coming! Jeez, don't get your panties in a wad." She returned the yell with a sarcastic tone and flicked off the lights as she exited their home.

She offered a weak smile to her mom as she slid into the car. "You excited to see everyone again Mom?" She asked, buckling up. After a short pause her mother replied blankly. "It's been a long time."

"Oooookay..?" Tris sighed and glanced out the window, drumming her fingers on her thigh.

"Hey guys." Lexi says with a smile as she walks inside to the room they were all inside, 'Wow. It's been long.' She thinks to herself as she glances over at everyone in the room, seeing how different they looked and they all seemed to have gotten prettier/good-looking. That's when she notices the bag with Cameron and raises an eyebrow slightly, 'He really brought beer to the reunion?' She shakes her head a little bit. 'Of course.' She couldn't help but laugh to herself a little at the thought. She walks over to the table and places the cookies on it before sitting down on the couch.‎

Amanda's face lightened as she felt the pat on her back. Of course, she knew, her sister wasn't the hugging type... not at all, actually, but they seemed to have an agreement that she could have unlimited hugs. Still eyeing the beer bottle, she smiled a bit. "In all honesty guys." She said to everyone in the room, her voice lower than ussual. "I think Ingrid is right. Dont scream about the beer being here.. Because im sure we all reaallly want some, and dont want it taken away." She said with a small smile, shrugging humbly.
