Wand(length, core, wood):
Hornbeam and Phoenix Feather, 11 1/2 inches
“My own wand is made of hornbeam, and so it is with all due modesty that I state that hornbeam selects for its life mate the talented witch or wizard with a single, pure passion, which some might call obsession (though I prefer the term ‘vision’), which will almost always be realised. Hornbeam wands adapt more quickly than almost any other to their owner’s style of magic, and will become so personalised, so quickly, that other people will find them extremely difficult to use even for the most simple of spells. Hornbeam wands likewise absorb their owner’s code of honour, whatever that might be, and will refuse to perform acts - whether for good or ill - that do not tally with their master’s principles. A particularly fine-tuned and sentient wand”

Birthday:

Star Sign:
Aries

Personal

Personality and Written Appearance:
Strict but fair is a good way to describe Amelia. Being the woman of high standards that she is, she is not one to tolerate mediocrity and holds both the students and staff to lofty but attainable expectations. In her personal life, though she is ambitious and driven, she is also prone to scattiness and is not particularly neat. If one happened across her office in the west tower of the university, they would find it to be haphazard to say the least. A loyal and vibrant person, it is easy to see why she was chosen for Gryffindor house upon meeting her on a less formal level. To her staff she is warm and affirming and can be very friendly when not in a work setting. She is passionate about magical history almost to the point of obsession and will gladly spend hours on the subject. As well as being an avid historian, Amelia is an accomplished duellist and is not easily bested in a duel. Defence Against the Dark Arts was her second strongest subject in school, hinting at her brave and adventurous nature, and quick reflexes.
Amelia is an attractive woman with long dark brown hair and vibrant green eyes. She is usually seen with a slight smile and dressed in long purple robes with a gold trim. She is relatively tall for a woman standing at 5'9.

Schooling

Profession (student, professor):
Amelia is the Dean of Ravenhurst University and the Head of History of Magic. Amelia has taught History of Magic for nine years at Beauxbatons Academy prior to the university's founding. This is her third year as Dean and Head of History of Magic at Ravenhurst.

School:
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Gryffindor House

History

Blood Status(pure, half, muggleborn):
Half-blood

Background:
Amelia Ravenhurst was born to two half-blood parents (Rena and Archie) in Ikley, Yorkshire. This meant that she grew up with equal exposure to the wizarding and muggle worlds and appreciation for their unique advantages. Her passion for magical history was ignited the year before she started at Hogwarts when her father read her diary entries from the great wizard Merlin.

During her school years, Amelia excelled as a student, earning her most impressive grades in Defence Against the Dark Arts and History of Magic. She had written her first book on Goblin Rebellions by the age of sixteen, being the youngest published historian the wizarding world had ever seen. She has by now written four books on varying topics and is the leading expert in the histories of British, French and American wizarding history.

She and her childhood sweetheart had a daughter Harriet when Amelia was twenty-six, but the relationship broke down after the birth and Amelia has raised her singlehanded ever since. The pair have a rocky relationship, but it is not terrible.

Wand(length, core, wood):
Ash and Unicorn Hair, 9 3/4 inches
"The ash wand cleaves to its one true master and ought not to be passed on or gifted from the original owner, because it will lose power and skill. This tendency is extreme if the core is of unicorn. Old superstitions regarding wands rarely bear close examination, but I find that the old rhyme regarding rowan, chestnut, ash and hazel wands (rowan gossips, chestnut drones, ash is stubborn, hazel moans) contains a small nugget of truth. Those witches and wizards best suited to ash wands are not, in my experience, lightly swayed from their beliefs or purposes. However, the brash or over-confident witch or wizard, who often insists on trying wands of this prestigious wood, will be disappointed by its effects. The ideal owner may be stubborn, and will certainly be courageous, but never crass or arrogant."

Birthday:
November 7

Star Sign:
Scorpio

Personal

Personality and Written Appearance:
Harriet Ravenhurst is the epitome of the popular 'queen bee', oozing an elegance and sophistication beyond her years and a snappy and sometimes harsh sense of reality. She is not necessarily unpleasant to others, but she does not care for them either unless they are part of her inner circle or they have been the victim of some kind of extreme injustice. Put it this way: she's not the girl to go to for sympathy when your pet Pygmy Puff dies unless you are of consequence to her. Harriet loves the idea of being somewhat elite, though she dislikes having opportunities handed to her. As long as she has worked her way to an elite position either through initiative or the connections and friendships she makes, she will feel accomplished. Though she isn't arrogant, she is certainly self-assured and if caught on a bad day, will tell you exactly what she thinks of you with no filter. On most days she is a little bit more subtle. She is a socialite and a major flirt, not above polygamous relationships for sure (though she is not deceptive about this and all parties involved will know of the others). If you happen to be a close friend to Harriet, you will know that she is the most loyal friend one could ask for, but once her trust is betrayed, she's the definition of a she-devil and will never forgive or forget. Harriet isn't easy to impress or get to know, but with luck she is a real sweetheart. Though stubborn and wilful and highly selective of her friends, she will talk to anyone with due respect if she has to. Unfortunately, Harriet can be easily tempted by the prospect of power and prestige, which leads her to be cunning and deceptive at times. Though she has morals enough to never be swayed to the Dark Arts, she is not above doing morally ambiguous things to get what she wants as long as no one is being physically hurt. It seems Harriet's snappy nature may have something to do with her resentment of her mother's job and the pressure it puts on her to succeed too.
Looks wise, Harriet is almost a mirror image of her mother, though she possesses her father's wide and expressive deep brown eyes. She stands at around 5'8 with thick wavy dark brown hair, a tan complexion and a slim build. She is always dressed in fashionable muggle attire because she finds traditional robes hard to move around in and simply unflattering. She does possess them, but on most occasions she will only wear them whilst at wizarding ceremonies. She has a soft spot for her powder blue Beauxbatons uniform because it was fitted bespoke and has a classy and chic feel to it.

Profession (student, professor):
Student, First Year

School:
Beauxbatons Academy of Magic

Specialist Subject:
Magical Law Enforcement and Politics Studies and Advanced Charms

History

Blood Status(pure, half, muggleborn):
Half-blood

Background:
Harriet was born in London, England to Ben Althwaite, a pureblood and Amelia Ravenhurst, a half-blood. Unfortunately her parents split when she was a month old, though her father continued to help provide for her until her seventeenth birthday when she became of wizarding age. Hattie and her father have always been much closer than Hattie and her mother , though for many years she harboured a grudge on him for leaving them both when times got hard.

When Hattie was ten, she and her mother moved to France in order for Amelia to research for her second historical book. Subsequently, Hattie began her magical education at Beauxbatons Academy, where she thrived and studied for the next eight years of her life, becoming almost instantly popular due to her enigmatic charisma, earning 'queen bee' status which she maintained her entire school career.

Harriet was initially sceptical of her mother's lifelong dream to start her own educational institute. She had heard her mother harp on about it since her third year at Beauxbatons. Hattie was positively stunned when her mother's dreams came true, and though she was jealous of her amazing successes for quite some time, Hattie learned to be truly proud of her accomplishment, and is even happy to call Ravenhurst her home now.

She does not always get along with her mother because of how much they see of each other. Amelia taught at her school and is the founder of her university so naturally, Harriet feels overwhelmed by her expectations.

Profession (student, professor): Student - First Year
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Nationality: Russian
Wand(length, core, wood): 9 inches, Basilisk horn, Elm
Birthday: April 12th
Star Sign: Aries
School: Koldovstoretz
Specialist Subject(for students only): Magical Sports and Games with a specialization in Dueling, (Electives are Advance Charms and Transfiguration and Wizarding Literature)

Personality and Written Appearance:
During his time at Koldovstoretz, Kirill was described by both staff and student body as a charismatic and friendly person. Desiring no more than to enjoy every day with his fellow students and to dissect the true intricacies of magic, he developed a love for the dueling arts, spending hours studying and asking teachers within his school to teach him.

However, he was also a brash man, always jumping head first into contests and duels with fellow students over small disagreements, insults, or just because. He chased the adrenaline rush of two wizards showing their creative might against one another, ending up frequently within the hospital ward of the school. Also an avid fan of classical Russian literature and history, the boy, while maybe not the smartest or greatest student within the academy, was certainly a passionate one for topics of his interest.

But one could not overlook his own flaws, for the man was known for smuggling contraband items and starting underground parties despite the teachers prohibition of such activities, often ending up with him in the dean's office. A man with an insatiable appetite for both women and a hearty duel.

Blood Status(pure, half, muggleborn): Pureblood
Relationships: "Whatever you wanna call it"
Background:
Born in a small village in the middle of the Siberian tundra, Kirill was heir to one of the few remaining pureblood wizarding families within Russia, most either long since mixing in with the general populace or being hunted down by the Soviets during the October Revolutions. His family managed to escape, though only by leaving their estate and belongings behind and fleeing eastwards, to a place the soviets wouldn’t dare look for the magical or its wielders.

Though one could count this as a blessing in disguise for the Baranov family, for the magic which had been hunted and destroyed by the muggles over the centuries, were still wild and plentiful in the vast untamed expanses of the Siberian front. There young Kirill would be raised, surrounded by the magical, taught and shown the traditions of the Russian wizarding world, traditions that dated back to before even Rurick became kniaz of Novgorod.

So when he finally received his admittance to the Koldovstoretz school, he jumped into it with a vigorous appetite. Koldovstoretz was different from most wizarding schools, it was more remote, quiet, and one of the few schools with loose restrictions upon what was acceptable to teach. Despite its cold atmosphere Kirill would find himself in love with one activity offered at the school, dueling. Long did the Russian wizarding community hold dueling in high regard, being in some regions more popular than quidditch (which was played on trees in Russia) and not frequently have they changed the ruleset of said sport.

It was fast, creative, dangerous and all the more exhilarating to the young Kirill, who would beg and plead the teacher-counselor to allow him to participate since his first year. Eventually, the young man was allowed to join the school league, in his first few years he did not accomplish much, often ending with abysmal records and even worse reputation. But, with a little guidance from his professors and a knack for the creative, Kirill within his 4th year in Koldovstoretz became a formidable duelist, even eventually winning his first dueling school championship during his 5th year. This passion, accomplishment, plus his insatiable desire to party and celebrate with his comrades would earn him a notorious reputation within the school and even in the dueling community of the wizarding world. There had been twice a time where Kirill showed up to a youth dueling tournament drunk and still managed to pull victory from his inebriation. Some praised him as a future star within the dueling world due to his creative and dominant performances in rookie contests, others hated him for his attitude and lack of traditionalism for the sport.

Once he graduated, Kirill decided that his future layed within the world of the dueling arts, and when the offer came to join Ravenhurst University, deciding it was best for his future within the world of sports and the chance to meet with some foreign beauties and party, he heartedly accepted the offer.

"Alder is an unyielding wood, yet I have discovered that its ideal owner is not stubborn or obstinate, but often helpful, considerate and most likeable. Whereas most wand woods seek similarity in the characters of those they will best serve, alder is unusual in that it seems to desire a nature that is, if not precisely opposite to its own, then certainly of a markedly different type. When an alder wand is happily placed, it becomes a magnificent, loyal helpmate. Of all wand types, alder is best suited to non-verbal spell work, whence comes its reputation for being suitable only for the most advanced witches and wizards."

Personal

Personality and Written Appearance:
Gregarious and fun-loving is the ultimate way to describe Xander. He loves being around others and making them feel good about themselves. He is self-assured and confident which makes a popular student. Due to his outgoing and confident nature, some may find him to be a little cocky leading him to have unwittingly made a few enemies in his time, however he is so blasé and devil-may care about life that he doesn't mind too much. Lysander has a lot of academic potential though he never really applied himself as much as he could've at Hogwarts, much preferring to accumulate knowledge that he found interesting over learning what he was forced to learn. This means his general knowledge is astounding!
Overall, Xander is a fun friend to have, at least at a superficial level. He isn't one for intense, long lasting friendships or relationships, though he is loyal for the amount of time one can keep his interest.
Lysander is objectively handsome, with fair hair, brown eyes, a defined jawline and an athletic build from playing as chaser on the Ravenclaw and Alastor quidditch teams, both of which he was or is also captain. He is fairly tall at 6"1 with an easy, lopsided smile.

Background:
Lysander was born to two purebloood parents, Ebony and Michael McCall. They had both attended Hogwarts in their day (Ebony a Hufflepuff, Michael a Gryffindor) and wanted Lysander to attend too. He has a brother two years his junior named Avery, with whom he has a very close bond, even if they constantly bicker and insult one another. Lysander's father Michael was the drummer and songwriter of the wizarding band and global phenomenon The Weird Sisters, known for such hits as 'Do the Hippogriff' and 'Magic Works'. They famously played at the 1994 Hogwarts Yule Ball that celebrated the first Triwizard Tournament in four hundred years, won by the legendary Harry Potter.

Lysander grew up in a happy and very unconventional home what with his father usually off gallivanting to do shows around the world, and his mother being very quirky herself. Xander and Avery very much loved their childhood, often reminiscing about it to anyone who would listen.

In school Lysander was popular amongst the students, though not so much among the faculty who often found him a handful when he got up to his mischief and pranks. He and Peeves were even on rather good terms once he left in seventh year with just above average grades that he could have worked much harder on, had he cared enough. Quidditch was his true passion and his talent saw him into Ravenhurst University of the Magical Arts.

Wand(length, core, wood):
Beech and Veela Hair, 12 inches
"The true match for a beech wand will be, if young, wise beyond his or her years, and if full-grown, rich in understanding and experience. Beech wands perform very weakly for the narrow-minded and intolerant. Such wizards and witches, having obtained a beech wand without having been suitably matched (yet coveting this most desirable, richly hued and highly prized wand wood), have often presented themselves at the homes of learned wandmakers such as myself, demanding to know the reason for their handsome wand’s lack of power. When properly matched, the beech wand is capable of a subtlety and artistry rarely seen in any other wood, hence its lustrous reputation."

Birthday:
June 1

Star Sign:

Personal

Personality and Written Appearance:
Isla is a petite and innocently beautiful young woman with pale almost translucent skin and silvery hair to match due to her half-veela blood. Her eyes are a wide, piercing grey and often look disengaged. She only stands at a mere 5'2 but is deceptively strong. She is one to dress practically and modestly due to her environment studying dragon taming and magizoology. Her hair is often in a messy ponytail with strands left to their own devices and it is often that her beautiful features are marked with cuts and claw marks. She does not mind this much.
Isla is very gentle and reserved. She is wise beyond her years and loves to observe others. She is kind, but not so kind as to be easily taken advantage of and does not fail to see both the good and bad sides of others. Though she is reserved and sage-like, she is very fun to be around with a rather crude sense of humour at times, and she has a secret love of playing matchmaker.
Isla is not very good at keeping her attention on one thing, unless that thing happens to be either quidditch, magical creatures or plants. She can become easily bored and will simply drift off to something immediately more interesting in the middle of a conversation. She is a loyal and trustworthy friend and very good at keeping secrets. She is very artistically inclined and almost applied for the performing and fine arts degree at Ravenhurst University, but decided against it.
As she has grown older, her tendency to get distracted easily has calmed down significantly and her slightly quirky nature, though still there, is much less pronounced. She is more interested in magical beasts than people, but that has always been her way.

History

Blood Status(pure, half, muggleborn):
Half-blood (half veela)

Background:
Isla was born to a Swedish mother, Astrid, a veela and a German muggle born father, Johan. Though she was born in Malmö, Sweden, she was raised in the village of Grünhain where Ravenhurst happens to be located. At the age of ten, Isla was sent off to Durmstrang Institute to begin her magical education. She had already shown strong signs of magic from an early age.

Geographically speaking, Hogwarts was closer to home than Durmstrang and its reputation much less murky, but Johan and Astrid believed it was the best place for her simply so that she would be close to them. Whilst at school, Isla excelled in potion making and Care of Magical Creatures.
She was not particularly popular at her school as (even though the male populous could not really help being enchanted by her due to being part veela) most found her odd and very un-Durmstrang. Students tormented her daily, and staff rarely did much to help since they mostly agreed with their students' views. Isla suffered in silence throughout her entire time there, determined to pretend it did not bother her, and acting as though the bullies did not exist. She continued to be true to herself and maintained that she did not really mind. She had her creature friends and a small group of good human ones to boot.
Isla plans to work in the Beasts Division at the German wizard government (Zauberer Parlament) once she graduates, specifically in the Dragon Taming subdivision.

The short answer is bisexual. The long answer is many years spent in the closet, gleefully oblivious for much of her younger life that she was expected to marry a man. physicality

Divya's physical appearance is a canvas painted with intrigue and allure, each detail contributing to the enigmatic aura she exudes. Her brown skin, kissed by the sun's embrace, holds a timeless charm that hints at both adventure and mystery. Her complexion seems to hold the warmth of her father's land and the secrets of untold stories, inviting those who look upon her to venture deeper into her captivating world.

Her eyes, pools of molten amber, hold a mesmerizing duality. Dark and curious, they shimmer with an otherworldly quality that draws people in like a sailor to a siren's song. These eyes are her windows to the world, a reflection of her natural charm and the concealed depths of her true inner mind. They are her most potent weapon, capable of ensnaring even the most resolute souls with a single glance.

Standing at a graceful 5'11", Divya demands attention with an understated elegance. Her presence is both commanding and inviting, her height allowing her to move with the poise of a predator stalking through the undergrowth. Her figure, a slender hourglass silhouette, embodies the delicate balance between strength and subtlety. Her curves are a testament to both her allure and her ability to conform, each movement a calculated step towards achieving her goals.

Dark wavy hair cascades like a cascade of shadows down her back, a lush curtain that frames her face and adds an air of mystery to her persona. Her hair is a testament to her adaptability, often tamed into elegant hairstyles that echo the grace of a bygone era. Each carefully coiffed curl seems to conceal the secrets she guards so fiercely, adding to the layers of her enigmatic allure.

Divya's physical perfection is not just a matter of aesthetics; it's a tool she wields to her advantage. Her appearance is a canvas upon which she paints her schemes, using every facet of her being to draw others into her intricate web. Her elegance is a cloak that conceals the complexities beneath, a means to project an image that belies the true nature of her intentions.

III.

but i think for as long as we're together,

persona

Divya is a lover through and through. She loves and it consumes her. The way Divya loves someone is beautiful and tragic all the same. When Divya loves you, she loves you with her entire being. She will do anything for her loved ones— even at the cost of her own ruin. Divi has no sense of self-care at all. It’s almost ironic how someone who loves so much could give so little of it to themselves. She does not care of what becomes of her ( that’s not true— she cares, she’s terrified but she continues and loves in spite of the fear ) so long as her people— her family, her loved ones are safe. For them, Divya would give the whole world should they ask for it.

She is a peacekeeper. Violence, drama, tension— Divya avoids them at all costs. Of course, she knows it’s inevitable for the peace to be broken— people are too fucked up for peace to continue— but that doesn’t stop her from keeping the peace. In an argument, Div tends to be the diplomat. She’s the one who’ll tell people to cool off and then check on all parties involved one by one. After that, she’ll try to help rebuild the peace— or bring back the harmony. She won’t exactly force people to compromise or solve their problems but she’ll definitely bring it up after she deems all parties to have cooled off. She’s an avid believer of communication (funny how hypocritical she is— telling people to communicate to solve their problems but can’t even tell her family her real feeling ) and that problems can (most of the time) be solved by simple communication (again, how hypocritical).

However, do not mistake her peace-loving trait as weakness because, though she may not look like it, Divya is fierce. She may be an avid preacher of talking things out and taking the high ground— she may like to avoid drama and only send a smile whenever someone tries to provoke her— but she’s no pushover. If someone successfully provokes her (usually through hurting her loved ones), Divya is not afraid to bite back. She still won’t fight physically (unless she’s really really angry, which hasn’t happened before) but her words would be as sharp as a knife— cutting into your skin and drawing blood. No one expects it from her— from sweet, little Divi— but it has happened before (after all, there’s nothing Divya won’t do for her loved ones).

Moreover, one of Divya’s greatest traits is her loyalty. She’s as loyal as she is loving— which is a lot. It’s a great feat to earn Div’s loyalty as, though she is friendly and ever so sweet (always willing to help, always brightening people’s day with her kind words, always willing to be a friend to someone, always there whenever you need her, etc etc—), Divi doesn’t give her loyalty to just anyone. She may have a lot of friends and she may trust people to a certain extent but that doesn’t automatically mean she’s loyal to them. Only family members and really close friends— best friends!— earn her unwavering loyalty. It’s a privilege, really, to earn her loyalty because once Divya is loyal to you, she will always be by your side. She’s your ride-or-die; your friend that’s with you when you feel like the world is against you, that sort of thing. If Divya is loyal to you, you become one of her priorities and she’ll do just about anything to keep you happy and safe.

That said, just because Divya is loyal to you doesn’t mean she’s blind to your mistakes. Divi is a fair person and she may be willing to wage wars for you but she will still call you out if you make a mistake. If you hurt someone else, especially when they don’t deserve it, Divya’s not afraid to tell you that you were wrong. Her loyalty does not equal ignorance to your misdeeds. Do well to remember that because as hard as it is to earn her loyalty, it’s quite easy to lose it. All it takes is one gigantic mistake— a betrayal or a show of your true colors (she has a great moral code if you haven’t already noticed) — for Divya to revoke your privilege of having her loyalty.

Furthermore, Div is a very hard-working and dedicated person as seen in how she’s willing to go through lengths just for one thing. She learned how to play the violin because her mother told her to learn it. Once Divya gets going, it’s hard to stop her. She always gives everything her all and half-way just isn’t her style. It’s as admirable as it is concerning— as previously mentioned, Divya has no sense of self-care so her hard-working trait can often lead to her overworking herself or something similar. Divi is also quite humble, despite being clever (always thinking outside the box, always piecing together the puzzle seconds ahead of most people, etc etc . She never really brags of her achievements (which were quite a few— not everyone can master the violin simply because they were told to) which is admirable of her. She’s also quite elegant. Messy, uncoordinated, dull— those were words rarely, if ever, associated with Div. She’s always so put-together and speaks in such a soft, elegant manner that it makes sense why she was so high-praised.

All in all, Divya seems like quite the orb of sunshine— which is quite true— but she has her flaws too, some of which have already been mentioned. Though Divya is a relatively good person, she’s not perfect. For one, she’s quite hypocritical and reckless. While she doesn’t act holier than thou, it’s still very frustrating to see her refuse to communicate her problems despite being the one telling people to do just that. It’s not exactly a conscious thing too as Divya had just gotten used to keeping things to herself. She’s also quite gullible, especially when her friends are the ones trying to fool her. Although, yes, she’s not ignorant to her friends’ mistakes, that doesn’t mean she’s immune to being fooled. She also tends to self-sabotage when she finally breaks down. She cuts people off her life, she becomes reclusive, and she may even have shorter patience than usual. It’s worrying to see someone so young keep so many things to herself only to refuse help when she needs it.

That all said, Divya is a relatively sweet person— your stereotypical Hufflepuff, if you will— but she’s not perfect ( no one is ) and for someone so sweet, she harbors quite a lot of bitterness in her from the things she had to do growing up. Let’s just hope she gets help before it actually ruins her life.

brief history.

Divya Savreen Paraiyar had a duty to her family— a duty she knew better than to ignore. Born as the youngest child and second daughter to the Paraiyar family, a long standing pureblood bloodline, there were certain expectations that were placed on her shoulders. While her family were not blood purists by any means, they were still an honored family in the pureblood society which only meant that the Paraiyar family was always under scrutiny by their fellow purebloods.

As the daughter of such an honorable family, Divya grew up knowing that she could not easily disregard what her public image was; she had a duty— not just to herself but to her family— to uphold the honor of the Paraiyar name.

Except, it seemed that out of all three children of the Paraiyar family, only Divya cared to respect the duty while her brother and sister gallivanted without a single care to the consequences that came with their escapades. This fact strained the family in ways that broke Divya’s heart.

Their parents, Zahir and Gayatri, were not so strict on implementing the etiquettes and such of a pureblood. Unlike most pureblood couples, they had married for love— a rarity— and wanted nothing more than to shower their children with the love they were deprived of growing up. Compared to their childhood, Zahir and Gayatri were lenient on their children’s classes but that did not mean they wanted their children to give up on their classes altogether. Though they were not strict on the implementation, they still expected their children to act with class that someone of their standing should have. However their message seemed to have gone over Kamal and Zoya’s head— something that greatly frustrated her parents to no end.

Kamal, Divya’s oldest sibling and only brother, was the heir to the family. He was the only boy— the only one to carry the family name— and yet he seemed to care more about muggles than fulfilling his duty. Oftentimes, he’d skip his heirship classes to go on an adventure to the nearest muggle town to explore the wonders of the muggle world. He liked to narrate, although exaggerated, his adventures to Divya every time he came back. His passion and adoration for all things muggle was adoring and though Divya did not know what he was saying half of the time, she was always willing to sit down and listen to his rambles just to make him happy. She’d sit through millions of his rambles if it meant making him smile after their parents, once again, grounded him for his escapades.

On the other hand, Zoya, Divya’s second sibling and older sister, was meant to be an exemplary lady but Zoya would rather hide in the family library than sit through a torturous etiquette class. Their parents despaired over this because Zoya had a natural grace to her and she would’ve made for a fine lady— the best, in Divya’s opinion— but Zoya cared more about expanding her knowledge. It was always such a chore for their parents to swindle Zoya out of her home in the library to attend one of the pureblood balls / events. On the off-chance that Zoya does attend an event, it would not be her introvertedness that would be the problem but her bluntness instead. The amount of times Zoya had made another pureblood child cry because of her words. . . Divya’s parents always scolded Zoya for it but Zoya never seemed to care for their words. Divya knew better though and she would always sneak into Zoya’s room after an argument with their parents to spend time with her. Zoya might say that she wanted to be alone but Divya knew that Zoya really wanted company— company that Divya was always willing to provide.

That said, with both of her older siblings completely disregarding their duty to the Paraiyar name, it fell on Divya’s shoulders to fulfill and uphold their family’s honor.

It was a tough responsibility to place on someone so young but Divya had always been willing to do anything and everything for her family. If playing into the perfect daughter role would allow her siblings to be free and appease their parents at the same time, then Divya would gladly sit through and endure it all.

Divya had only just turned six when she made this sacrifice (it happened after they came home from a ball and her parents began scolding a ten-year-old Kamal and an eight-year-old Zoya— her siblings were grounded and Divya had never seen them cry so much; then and there, she decided that she didn’t want them to cry again). She didn’t realize the full extent of her sacrifice— or what she was even sacrificing in the first place.

She just wanted her family to be happy; she didn’t realize that it would be at the cost of hers. When she made her sacrifice and began doing well in her studies, showing an interest neither Kamal nor Zoya showed, her parents finally laid off her siblings— if only just a little— and began focusing on her. It was ironic how, at the start of their marriage, they had sworn to give only love and happiness to their child— swearing that they would never force them into the pureblood role their own parents molded them into but that was exactly what they were doing to Divya. They didn’t realize, of course, and fully believed that what they were doing was good parenting. They never realized that the only reason Divya took up learning the violin (despite how much her fingers kept hurting) or grew an interest in poetry (even though she was too young to comprehend the true meaning of each line) was because she knew that it would appease them. Each and every ‘hobby’ Divya took up were hobbies that they wanted her to pick up. Each and every action she made was for them to be pleased with her and yet they never once realized this. Divya loved them all the same.

The loss of her own freedom— of her own person— was heartbreaking but Divya never cared to linger on the feeling. Instead, she focused on the sparkles that never seemed to fade from her siblings’ eyes and the happiness that was never lost in her parents’ smiles. She might have lost herself but at least she had saved her family from ruin.

Divya lived her life like that— the perfect daughter, the perfect sacrifice— and never cared to change it (fearing what repercussions she’d face if she, too, began disregarding her duty). When her Hogwarts letter inevitably came, Divya rejoiced and selfishly enough, she was happy to have a chance to be away from her family— away from the duty, away from the arguments (because even with her sacrifice, the arguments never stopped), the drama, the tension— away from it all. Hogwarts was her respite, her safe haven. She made sure of it.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, Divya was sorted into Hufflepuff and it was there that she had found bits and pieces of herself. Of course, by all intents and purposes, she kept her role and upheld her family’s honor (always a top student, this one— perhaps not the top student but nevertheless, a top and model student) but in Hogwarts, she had found out things about herself that she knew she never would’ve if she stayed with her family. For example, she found out that she was a ‘night owl’ and was more productive at night. She found out that, despite being a Hufflepuff, she was not good at Herbology (she was also not not good at Herbology— she passed the subject, grades fluctuating between A and EE, but lesson learned: Divya was not to go near any plant unless absolutely necessary). She also found out that she was good at Ancient Runes and that she liked making a snowman— muggle style, even if it meant she’d be freezing afterwards. She found herself in bits and pieces throughout her journey at Hogwarts and with the help of her friends.

An elephant. Those with the elephant patronus can be shy people, thinking everything through before acting. To some they may come off as worriers, but to them this is just how they function, they hesitate in all of their choices, but in the end they are comfortable with what they choose.

A haunting image of her parents, their smiles too wide and eyes too uncanny, near duplicates of the pair. The further she runs from them, the louder their voices grow in her head. Cedar has always been full of energy since a young age. They know what they want in the short term and are always willing to work for it so long as they have the drive and means to do it. They aren't one to back down quietly and always have a point to make. Yet despite being on the louder side of life, they are extremely friendly and welcoming of people, constantly curious which can lead them to accidentally and maybe dangerous adventures. Cedar never is one to be satisfied with a boring life and seeks out people to be with and new things to explore. However, despite their insatiable curiosity, they still manage to struggle in school, maybe due to their inability to stay in one place for long or their lack of focus but as smart as they might be, it doesn't always show.
With people, they care about and trust, Cedar is only slightly more chaotic and feral than normal but fiercely loyal and protective, ready to throw hands at any time for a good (enough) reason. Their friends and family always come first and they will always put them first, even before themselves. They love to help and be part of a group yet is a hypocrites when it comes to asking and accepting help from other people. Evening studying help is a struggle for them as they want to be independent but know without help, they will fail.

history

Cedar was born to 2 very loving parents, with a wizard father (Finnogen Hayes) and a muggle mother (River Hayes). At first, when the two got married, Finnogen kept his magic a secret but once Cedar was born, he finally opened up to River who was very accepting and welcoming of the truth, even moving to a small wizarding village so Cedar would be able to learn about magic more freely. Even as a young child, Cedar was always energetic and was a bit of a wild child. Full of curiosity and had a habit of wandering and getting into accidental trouble, yet the village couldn't help but love the bubbly child and no one could stay mad at them for too long. This was at least true for adults. However, when it came down to other children, it was a different story. The village they went to was mixed with half-bloods, muggle-born, and purebloods. There was some hierarchy in there and superiority-complexes among the purebloods and it especially showed true in the children. Cedar along with other children was often targeted to be bullied and made fun of for having dirty blood, but more so Cedar than anything as their father chose to marry a muggle and actively dirtied his blood. While it didn't bother Cedar, it did cause them to get into many fights. If being a half-blood wasn't enough, Cedar also was from a poorer family, with only her father bringing in an income, but Cedar was never the brightest. Creative and unafraid to fail, they were a target. Even being bullied for so long, Cedar was also a force to be reckoned with and often went home with new bruises and cuts. While fighting was never something their family prided on, they couldn't deny that Cedar's cause wasn't a noble one, often hearing stories from other families of how Cedar would always protect the other kids who were being bullied. Her father was rather proud of being a Gryffindor himself and knew they were destined to be a Gryffindor as well.
Cedar was constantly curious and was one to get bored very easily. While fighting and defending the half-bloods and muggle-born children from being bullied, Cedar still found themself wanting something more. To explore and adventure but living in such a small village, it was hard to have that explore, After all, you learn the ins and outs of the village only after a few years of running around. Yet live every magical child, when Cedar turned 11 years old, they got their letter for Hogwarts and were extremely excited, having heard stories and tales from their father. Their mother could only imagine what it was like but was proud of Cedar nonetheless, and of course, they were a Gryffindor.
Come their 1st year, Cedar like always, always found themselves to be causing trouble, thought mostly unintentional as it now seemed just part of their nature to be a bit chaotic in everything they do. What started to get them down was schoolwork. Always knowing school was never their strong suit, it showed in classes but their partial use of magic seemed fine. Writing essays, reading, and memorization of terms were difficult for Cedar whose mind was always everywhere at once. This would continue into their second year. The one class they truly excelled in was flying. So come their 2nd year, Cedar was more than excited (and qualified) to join the quidditch team and became a Chaser. They were fast, nimble, and mostly accurate with scoring and was a great member to have on the Gryffindor team. Quidditch was one of the things her mother quickly grew a big fan of and would do their best to make sure Cedar had at least decent equipment and was their number one fan. Still struggling in school, Cedar was also in the mindset to make sure their parents would be proud of them and never let on their academic struggles, pretending it was fine. In their 3rd year, while they did amazing at Quittich and actual usage of magic, others were lower than average, even causing the head of the house to talk to Cedar about what they could do. Cedar begged the head of the house to not tell their parents and promised to somehow get their scores up and did what most logical people would do, go to Ravenclaw and find someone who could help. It was also during this year that they decided to come out as non-binary (afab) and as they expected, their parents were very accepting (a little confused but learned like very proud parents).
Struggling academically was a constant for Cedar but with the help of friends and a peer-mentor program started by one of the professors at the school, they were able to make it out but not without making a name for themselves. They started as a chaser when they began quidditch and soon took the spotlight when becoming the Gryffindor seeker. They were a star in many ways and this created a passion for magical sports in general, with a hope of going pro. However, their mom heard of a magical University and begged Cedar to go, just in case going pro doesn't work out, and continue to study and find something related to sports to work in. The way Cedar's mom phrased it was, just in case you get into an accident and can't play anymore, it's always good to have a backup. Not wanting to disappoint, they reluctantly agreed and applied to the school and, amazingly, got accepted. No sure how they will fair, they fear the struggles they might face furthering their education, hoping to quickly make friends to help them through out school and figure out what their back up job might end up being, if any, or will they drop out and only go pro.

Quinn was always bright-minded and considered extraordinarily smart at a young age. Not in that she showed it well in practical manners but more in that she showed excellent magical fieness and had a constant drive to learn. Many saw her to be clever and resourceful, finding new ways to solve problems that took her the least amount of time. She was a perfectionist in her years at Hogwarts. She took her studies very seriously and was known for always being in the library and nearly figured out how the staircases moved and could quite easily figure out each house passcode though never used it for wrong. In fact, most of her studies and passion always came from a place of wanting to help others. Firstyears who couldn't remember their house passcodes, and students struggling with a spell, Quinn was the go too to ask for help. She was smart enough and clever enough to get any job she wanted or desired yet quickly found herself to wanting to stay at Hogwarts and teach.
Quinn was motherly, caring, and patient with new witches and wizards and never mind taking just that extra minute with students to allow them to fully understand. Quinn was smart but also a little quicker, and she found her most interests aligned with herbology, the class she now teaches. It gave her time to spend with students but also constantly pushed her further to study various plants and their magical properties and new ways they could be applied. It quenched her desire to always be learning. However that constant curiosity and willingness to learn constantly makes Quinn a workaholic, never knowing how to take a break (yet has no problem telling students to take a break).

history

Quinn was a bright and curious child. Both of her parents worked in the magic of ministry and she was the light of her parent's life. Clever and constantly craving knowledge, Quinn was known for being an avid reader, learning as much as she could. Being an only child with working parents was a bit of a lonely life, but she always had books around her and more importantly, nature to explore and wonder. Her time at Hogwarts wasn't anything too out of the ordinary, at least for a magical school that is. One of the more notable memories for Quinn was her first day there. She was always kind to living things around her and loyal beyond loyal to her own beliefs and had the wit and intelligence to back up her beliefs. The hat had a hard time placing Quinn, as she showed many traits between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, but after some time, she was eventually placed in Ravenclaw. Truly that decision set her on a path of constant learning and excelling in both magic and normal academic studies. She was always one of the top students in the school and was very quickly openly queer, which did make her parents think lesser but, showed face in front of other people. Despite that, Quinn was head girl and perfect in her years showed most proficiencies in herbology, and was one of the many students who helped students as a peer tutor of sorts.
Once she graduated, Quinn almost instantly went back to Hogwarts to continue her studies and became a professor once a herbology spot opened and since has been working there for many years. Kind and mother towards all students, she was quickly made the Head of Ravenclaw as well which allowed to to show her true motherly nature. One of her notable highlights as a professor and head of the house, Quinn officially started a peer-mentor club, where she worked with other professors and heads of houses to pair up students who might be struggling in a subject with another student who can help them study. She always volunteered to help other students in her classes, that was one of the major goals she accomplished as a professor. Quinn knew classes were hard, even her own were known to be hard, and figured sometimes, students learn best from each other. Quinn herself always would help her students if they asked for it, always spending as much or as little time as needed until they understood. Any student, from any year or house, is welcome to come by her office for homework help and just general advice, and sometimes just a quiet place to escape, often her office is filled with students helping each other and just taking naps. She keeps extra snacks and drinks to make sure students eat enough and help students with planning and deciding on their careers. Quinn has become a mother figure at Hogwarts and just wants to see the younger witch and wizard generation flourish.
However as the years passed Quinn has always wished to study more and continue more advanced studies but in her current position, struggled to make time for these passions before hearing news of a new school appearing, a university of sorts. Similar to how muggles would continue their education, this was their first magical university, and decided, that perhaps this was a path she could take. It combined her love to teach younger students as well as a space to continue the study of magical plants so, gracefully, she left her position to take up this new job at Ravenhurst University.

Due to this, Seraphina has often been led to make some tough choices that led to bad results. In spite of this, her loyalty can’t be beaten and her honesty can sting but she knows that people value Honesty over lies as well. She never backs down from a challenge and will be persistent.

People has often said that she has a scathing tongue when it comes to insulting people however and she doesn’t do it kindly when it comes to people she doesn’t trust. It is often said that her bite is worse than her bark. It is like she has a boiled up anger that can’t be rivaled if you betray her. Her anger can sometimes get to the point where it blinds her but this is a rare occurrence. She Stands at 5 '3, Seraphina has brown to Dark Brown Curly hair which contrasts Her light tan skin. Her eyes are deep brown and she often wears a white t-shirt but sometimes, she puts a red lipstick on to bring out the hair. She often wears earrings as well. It is rare to see her in any other color except white, though she does have a white t-shirt with blue stars sparkled on it.

Blood Status(pure, half, muggleborn): Pureblood

Background: Born in the Hills of Scotland, Serafina was born to an English Wizard and a Hawaiian witch. She had an interesting childhood as she had often gotten in trouble with her mom and dad. It was when she turned Eleven that a letter from Hogwarts came to her and she pleaded with her parents to let her go. Upon reaching Hogwarts, she was soon sorted into Gryffindor and had made a couple of friends.

During her First year at Hogwarts, it wasn’t the greatest of times for the young witch as she had a daring side to her. Part of it came to the lack of attention she had from her parents. Due to this, she kept talking back to the teachers. She almost got expelled but upon being saved by the headmaster, Serafina soon realized that she had to change her ways and from then on began to do less risky things. During the second year of Hogwarts, she had made an enemy due to one of her closest friends in her friends circle betraying her and telling some of her secrets that she didn’t want to be exposed. This led her to doing some risky things, but she slowed down from doing less risky things since she didn’t want to be expelled again. Meanwhile in her second year, her grades soon began to pick up again as she threw her life force into her studies
Seraphina’s third year was not that eventful with her studies of Divination. It isn’t without saying that the young Serafina wasn’t a fan of divination (probably because she thought it was rubbish to believe in that class). In addition to learning divination, she also took care of Magical Creatures and muggle studies. She was keen on learning muggle studies. In terms of Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh year, those years flew by and soon she found herself getting a letter from Ravenhurst University.

The young girl who was elated once more to find a letter from a magical university had found herself once more begging her parents to let her go and eventually, they relented and let her go once more to another magic school. Now she has begun her studies her at Ravenhurst where she hopes to make friends and excel in the classes!!

Personality and Written Appearance:
Ruby is little anti-social, but pretty chatty once you get you know her, she has some trouble making friends though, as she has been abandoned by some of the ones she made. She's mostly seen with a book in her hand or sketchbook and pencil. She prefers observing situations before she makes a choice, though she will stay out of fights even if she's not afraid to punch someone if they ask for it.

Her blonde hair and blue eyes stem from a Dutch ancestor who had moved and skipped a few genetarions, she prefers sweaters over shirts and will wear oversized sweaters during her off time, paired with jeans, she usually finished the look by wearing boots of sneakers, depening on the weather. When it comes to height she is around 175cm, she has stopped growing though, so she won't be much taller then that. Her blonde hair is mostly in a messy ponytail, braid or loose, depending on the situation.
Background:
Ruby's parents moved to the Netherlands before she was born, hoping she would have a normal life after she finished her education at Hogwarts, this backfired like crazy when another letter came in the mail for her. It's not that she hates being a pureblood, but her grandparents were so called dark wizards who really only wanted to protect their family, no matter what. So she tried to fit in with the muggles at home, but she didn't succeed, often ending up alone and being called a freak, she even thought about breaking her wand a few times, she didn't as she wouldn't become what was 'normal'.

Regardless her studies at Hogwarts went fine while she was there and she spend most her time in the library, this didn't help her become more social, which she didn't really seem to mind at all, since people only betrayed her friendship in her eyes. She has secretly learned how to become an animagus, though she had some help from professor McGonagall regarding the procedure and how it works. She did miss it of course and was quite sad when she graduated, so you can imagine her surprise when she got a letter about a magical university closer to home, she wanted her parents to let her go and they eventually agreed, knowing she'd feel more at home in the magical community.

Name: Celaena Lyrei
Age: 18 years old
Ravenhurst House: Morgana
Profession (student, professor): Student
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Nationality: Australian - from Bruny Island
Wand(length, core, wood): 13 inches, Acacia wood, phoenix feather and coral core
Birthday: December 15
Star Sign: Sagittarius
School: Ravenhurst - was Slytherin in Hogwarts
Specialist Subject(for students only): Magizoology and Veterinary Magic
Personality:
Celaena is very much more on the submissive side of anyone. She is extremely observant and intelligent, though she likes to hide how smart she truly is. Cel is more introverted and prefers not to hang around large crowds. She is wary and cautious of anyone, so she tends to judge others more. She is not assertive in the least, and turbulent is sort of there. When it comes down to it, she is more independent due to her past and history. She adores being around snakes and learning about magizoology and veterinary magic. Celaena is what you would call a soothing soul. She is kind and compassionate once you get to know her. She can be loyal and brutally honest (though it may be best not to ask for her honesty here and there). She is intelligent. She can be patient, calm, and very much a rock when needed - provided she trusts you enough for you to know the true her. While Cel may have her good side, most would consider her an ice queen. She is often distant, cautious, and very wary of others. Her history did her no favors when it came down to it. She is incredibly stubborn and very much a blunt girl. She may be submissive - but that doesn't mean she will let others take advantage of her. Celaena is very quiet and not one for large crowds. She is a bookworm, too, which often means you can find her with her nose buried in a book.

Written Appearance:
Celaena has a lithe body type with an athletic build. She is feminine by far, with an hourglass figure and a lightly muscled build. Her ears are slightly pointed, though she prefers to hide them under her hair, which is in braids most of the time or half-up, half-down. She has sun-kissed, tanned skin. Her teeth are extremely white, and she slightly has longer fingernails than ordinary people. She is petite and only stands at a slight five foot 3 inches. She has a foreign accent - coming from her home island just off the coast of Australia. Celaena has a cheetah tattoo on her shoulder and vines swirling around her wrist with three dots under each eye. The tattoos are colored in a garnet-like color with amazonite turquoise and fawn tan. Cel is unique, she adores the more feminine look she can appreciate now. She wears long skirts and tank tops and is often barefoot, though she will wear her robes when needed. Most don't realize the girl has a more exotic look to her until they really look at her. She wears styles that are seen more in Africa, Australia, and Asia. Her skirts tend to have slits up to her knee, allowing her movement, though she also wears leggings from time to time. Floral designs with mandala designs swirl around her fabrics, and most of her clothing is jewel-toned. She has her ears pierced and wears a necklace of amazonite and ruby gemstones in the shape of a flower set within a ring to show her status as the heiress of the Lyrei Family.

Blood Status(pure, half, muggleborn): Pureblood

Background:
Celaena was born to the Lord and Lady Lyrei. Her mother was a well-known magizoologist, while her father was a potions master. They were travelers. However, the small family settled in Australia when Celaena was 2 years old. Her mother doted on her like no other, and the family was incredibly happy. Cel had everything she could ever ask for. Lady Enoa Lyrei nee Diedre was happy to have found her other half in the lord, and he accepted her for what she was. A well-known magizoologist with a fascination for creatures. Celaena was an accident-prone child who loved to explore the island the family made home.

When Cel was 6 years old, she discovered she could speak to snakes, which was fine with her. She had no friends on the island, as her parents didn't want her mother to be found out, as the woman loved her privacy. When Cel was 8 years old, Enoa became very sick and passed away. Her father became distant and cold, even more so when he found out his daughter was a parselmouth. Celaena bears the emotional scares quietly, though she hates that her father ignores her. Her only friend was a gorgeous snake she found on a hike around the island. When she was 10, Cel made food and cleaned the house daily. She got her first letter at 11 years old - to both Ilvermory and Hogwarts, in honor of her mother, she chose Hogwarts. She didn't make many friends, but swiftly threw herself into her studies. When she got her letter at 19 years old, she immediately left the house to head to Gringotts. While there, she got an inheritance test - which said she was indeed like her mother, and when she reached her majority, she would have a unique inheritance. All of her mother's belongings, parks, houses, and the sanctuary would end up being passed to her. After realizing that nothing would change with her father, the girl chose to head to the Maldives, where her mother had a small mansion hidden from everyone along the coast, which suited the young witch just fine. Most knew her to be a parselmouth - hints her blue viper pet, and no one really knew her other than she loved the library and being outside. After her years at Hogwarts, she decided to graduate and head to Ravenhurst University - following her mother's path and focusing on magizoology and veterinary magic as her main focus class.

Relationships: Open for plotting

Miscellaneous: Cel loves to dance and explore nature on her free time, as well as read. She really enjoys writing lyrics in her free time and helping any creature she comes across.

Celaena also enjoys writing books and publishing her finds regarding creatures and research.

Cel has Astraphobia (fear of thunder), Arachnophobia, and Claustrophobia.

(hope this is okay)

Birthday: October 13th
Star Sign: Libra

Specialist Subject(for students only): Magical Law Enforcement and Politics, Advanced Herbology
Blood Status(pure, half, muggleborn): Pureblood

Personality and Written Appearance: Please provide AT LEAST two paragraphs
Adrian can come off at cocky and prideful, but he's actually quite the scholar, he does enjoy a good prank, but will never intentionally hurt someone with said pranks. He's actually quite chatty when you get past his facade, he's also a great listener. He can also lose time when studying and will forget to eat if he's not reminded to do it, though he dislikes libraries a lot, something about being locked up in a library once, he may tell it one day.

His black hair makes him stand out from the other side of his family, the one who moved away, but he does have the same blue eyes that seem to run in the family. He's taller then your average guy in America, which was part of the reason he stuck closer to wizards then muggles. He's not super athletic, but doesn't mind playing sports, he has a scar from a nasty fall on his arm, it involved the kitchen, a knife and him being a bit clumsy, also a story you may get out of him one day.

Background:
Adrian, unlike Ruby, grew up mostly with wizards, so he's out of touch with most muggle things, he rarely saw his cousin as a result of living in New York, though when they did meet for the holidays it usually ended in a competition on who was better, it was all in good fun though. When schools started they saw each other less and less, eventually not being able to contact each other since electronics don't work and letters were few and far between. His grandparents speak parseltongue, but he never bothered with it, though he can understand it and probably can speak it, he just decides not to.

After school he traveled around, got some more knowledge on herbology and decided he wanted to do something with that later in his life. He certainly hadn't been expecting a letter from a magical university, but he figured he could at least learn some more and throw it on Ruby when he saw her again, given they went to rivaling schools in the first place, of course he took it, with his parents approval, as they figured he'd be safer at a school then traveling by himself, as he is prone to getting into danger.

Birthday:

April 30th

Star Sign:

Taurus

School:

A scheming scholar of the Slytherin House of Hogwarts

Personality and Written Appearance:
Professor Andrews is a lanky fellow. His hair is unkempt, yet it seems to follow a natural harmony which gives off a sense of controlled chaos that accurately depicts the default state of his mind. He wears a child-like glare of curiosity, a striking pair of eyes frequently aimed into nothingness or the face of a person that intrigues him. It's either that or a jovial, also child-like, excitement as he talks about the fringes of magical theory and magical computation.

He is garbed like scholars of the golden age of scientific revolution. A dark overcoat swallows his figure, with its pockets storing his wand and plenty of magically mechanical maladroit machines. Underneath, is a weathered three-piece suit whose colors begin to fade, masquerading a shade of blue and green.

Professor Andrews walks the path of an itinerant thaumaturgist. He is permanently bound to a life of discovery and research of magic and spellcasting. The common man sees a stone as dull, but Andrews is captivated as to why it doesn't fly, how it is strong or brittle, and what impact, however small, may it have on the world.

Some may perceive the professor as uncouth or boorish, yet many disregarded these feelings if not for the commendations he received and the Order of Merlin recommendations he had vehemently refused.

Blood Status:

Half-Blood

Background:
Andrews was born to Igor Stravinsky, a muggle scholar with a discipline called "computer science" who worked in a grandiose muggle establishment called the "Jet Propulsion Laboratory" and the renowned Arithmancy extraordinaire, OM 2nd Class, Penelope Andrews. He was a brainy child who inherited a combination of a muggle's penchant for numbers and a wizard's instinct for the natural world.

As a child, he was known as a savant of spells and a prodigious prestidigitator. The boy was known to consume nonsensical muggle textbooks such as "Fundamentals of Physics" and "Real Analysis." Presumably, consuming so much muggle musings would rot a wizard's mind, right? But quite the contrary! Young Andrews said.

He believes in the agreement of muggle logic and wizard magic. He's sure that the truth lies not in the cold numbers of a muggle's textbook or the chaos of a wizard's wand, rather it must be somewhere in between. The Magical Realism movement is a scholastic endeavor of young Andrews, of which he continued to preach today.

It's for a good reason as well. Those who follow the tenets of Magical Realism seek to reconcile the effects of magic and the observable world. Scholars of the art investigate common questions such as, "How do we cast more efficiently?" or "How can we make our Protego stronger?" to far more recondite matters like "What's the weight of a spell projectile?" and "What is the direct energy conversion of every spell we produce?" Though esoteric it may be, the movement produced fangled luxuries like the “Jet-Broom” and the “Remote Spellcaster”

Nonsensical, you say? Don't let Andrews hear you though. The man is a master of spells with the ability to turn day into night and tame a hurricane. His dueling ability pales to a potato, however dueling is meaningless when magic itself is his humble servant.

Profession: Assistant professor, transfiguration/charms
Sexual Orientation: Ace, bi
Nationality: British (duh)
Wand: English Oak, Phoenix feather, 10 inch, swishy, though he doesn't need to use it
Birthday: Unknown
Star Sign: Unknown
School: Hogwarts, Slytherin
Blood Status: Half-blood

Personality and Written Appearance:
Merlin, or in this case Colin as he's known by now, has black hair that does not want to work along at all, so it's usually a bit messy. He has blue eyes that seem very old sometimes, but he can often hide that to keep up his guise. Many would consider him lanky and often wonder if he eats enough, he does, he just doesn't gain much weight. For outfits he tends to wear a effen colored shirt, brown pants and dark brown boots, half the time he'll wear something like a scarf too, but not always (see picture), the outfit is completed by a light brown worn jacket, which gets warmer if the weather turns colder.

Weird is usually how people describe him and he doesn't really mind it, he can stare of in the distance when he remembers something from him time in Arthur's court, a time he fondly remembers, but is easily snapped out of it. Generally people avoid him for being too weird, but he's a great mentor if you give him the time and patience, he doesn't speak in riddles like people often assumes he does, he's actually pretty blunt when giving his opinions.

Background:
Not much is known about his early life, just that he traveled a lot, he claims he doesn't remember. What is known is that he used his magic for cheap party tricks no one would ever consider real magic, this suited him fine. When he got his Hogwarts letter he decided to go, to ease some boredom. Afterwards he went back to traveling around, doing some great feats and what not.

To his surprise he got asked to become an assistant teacher at a university years later, he has lost most of his magic from before due to not using it much, also a reason he went to Hogwarts, so he hadn't seen it coming. He, of course, accepted the position since he had grown bored of traveling the world, he also couldn't wait to see what the wizarding world had become. He doesn't use his wand though, in fear people will go with the suspiscion of the wood and link it to him.

Personality and Written Appearance
This excerpt is taken from Madam Jocelyn Wood's notes in a special preliminary interview held on August 21st

Mr. Frost's outward appearance is deceptive at first. His build is athletic, standing at approximately 6 '1", I'd hazard a guess of his weight within the range of 180 - 200 pounds. Mr. Frost possesses a scar under his right eye and sports a look that elicits the word "disciplined." He bears a resemblance to a muggle military personnel with a firm expression and tidy hair.

Despite his rugged outward appearance, he is eloquent and reserved, speaking in a practical, concise manner, though I presume the presence of Professor Hall and another unidentified gentleman by his side may have an influence in limiting his actions. He seems to delay responding to plain questions which should elicit instantaneous response.

I can only summarize Mr. Frost as an emotionally stable, composed, reserved individual with nothing noteworthy at a first glance. However, the nature of his mannerism seems artificial, I recommend the school initiate an unannounced examination session led by a team of Legilimens without his guardians.

Blood Status

Muggle Born (?)

Background
This excerpt was compiled as a combination of notes taken by H. Whittaker, J. Wood, and T. Richter,

Penned by Scribe Tulius Johnson

Mr. Frost was born in the year 1994 to Charles Frost and Edwina Frost. He is born to a pedigreed family known for their mechanical aptitude. The Frosts own a successful automotive repair facility through which Mr. Frost received his technical expertise.

Mr. Frost's record indicates a problematic youth, mostly causing injunctions of a juvenile or misdemeanor nature (comparable to underaged magical acts demonstrated in the presence of muggles). Accounting for his infractions in muggle grade school through high school, he has shown a consistent pattern of disdain toward authority figures early in his life.

Presumably, this was a factor contributing to his unplanned enrollment in the ghastly, violent, and brutish muggle organization called the "armed forces" at age 16. An unfortunate decision, since our record noted the organization was responsible for numerous deaths and destruction worldwide. Still, it seems he's quite good at it, the unidentified gentleman next to him informed us of Mr. Frost's candidacy for a special branch in the organization called the "SAS", comparable to Aurors in our judgment.

Mr. Frost's mechanical expertise, honed with his military training, and his tenacity in combat allowed him an invitation to the University of Oxford after he sustained a career ending injury in the field. His predilection toward practical mechanical skills and his astute mind were cited as his reasons for admission at the age of 21.

In conclusion, the circumstance of his admission to Ravenhurst university is extraordinarily unique as the lack of magical aptitude, expertise, and paraphernalia will be difficult to overcome. However, with the data we've collected we may be able to fabricate a background of a undiscovered dueling champion with that used to belong in Gryffindor . We await the better judgment of Dean Ravenhurst before proceeding.

Relationships:
  • Charles Frost (Father)
  • Edwina Frost (Mother)
  • Albert Hall (Supervisor)
  • I would add the unidentified gentleman, however he’s wholly impervious to our Legilimency attempts and refuses to identify himself
