Fandom Project Freelancer: Through The Ranks

"I know. They'll find out the truth eventually. Between you and me, I can't remembet amything past this. The program, I mean. Neither can Colorado. That's why he digs around. Pi didn't help earlier, though.'

Quill closed his eyes and pretended to go to sleep.

'Agent Alaska's position has been deleted.'

"Good. Keep Colorado away from anything that can get him in trouble. It's for the best."

'And the results of the deep search for "Agent Colorado"?'

"Archive them for later. Colorado might be right about this..."

Arizona

Location: Training Room

Interacting with: N/A

Arizona let out a shuddering breath as she came to a halt near the doors. She had just finished her fifth set of eight laps around the training room for this training session. Sweat dripped from her forehead as her tank top clung to her skin in an uncomfortable manner. Her legs ached but she paid them no mind as she tried to catch her breath.
Deep breaths, Reizenstein. Deep breaths. She felt like she was back in basics as she wiped her brow with one hand while she brought her other one to the wall to support her weight.

"One second improvement from the last round. Would you like me to time you for another set, Agent Arizona?" asked F.I.L.S.S.

Arizona was about to answer an affirmative but she felt Upsilon huff from the back of her mind, disapproval rolling from the fragment in waves.
"No, thank you, F.I.L.S.S. I won't be running anymore for today. However, you can still continue timing my training session ."

"Understood."

Upsilon appeared in front of her, taking form of its humanoid form. The sudden appearance made the Freelancer straighten up in attention, despite the fact that she was still out of breath.
This is the your fifteenth set and your third training session within the last twenty four hours. You are on the brink of hurting yourself, Agent Arizona.

I know my limits, Upsilon. Arizona retorted as she approached the various equipment on the other side of the training hall, stretching her arms behind her, fingers clasped. Is this because of the failed mission? Her jaw clenched as the fragment asked. Had I been faster in taking care of the systems and the officials, they wouldn't have had time to alert their nearest allies.

If you say so. The tone alone was enough to tell Arizona that the fragment did not see her point. Instead of arguing further, Upsilon opted to hum a new tune. Arizona took that as an end to the conversation and began to deliver blow after blow to the nearest punching bag, soon getting lost in the rhythm of fragment's humming and her own movements.

Left. Right. Left. Left. Right. Under. Swing from the left. Feint right. Low left kick. Twist to the right. Right. Left. Right. Right. Side step. Turn. High kick.

Location-Deep Space

Jerking up in his sleep, Alaska looks around the cabin as the pelican exits slip space. Looking around the cramped cabin, Alaska saw the other dozen soldiers in red armor waking up slowly as well. It had been nearly 3 days since the evacuation, with the pelican making regular stops in and out of slip space. Now, finally, they had arrived at their destination, and it was finally time to see who else had made it.

Walking towards the cockpit, Alaska quickly climbed the steps, nodding to the pilots as he looked out the window to see their new base, he hoped, for the long term.

Wyoming-

"Theta, do we have any news on Alaska's coords? I'd like to personally rip that traitorous Innie's head off." Wyoming said, after he unsuited, laying down with a soft groan on his bunk.

"The Counselor and Director are currently assessing which ship Alaska is most likely to be on. Then we will launch an attack mission once we find out." Theta said, appearing in the air in front of Wyoming.

"Good. I hope they find it soon." Wyoming snarled, before fading into sleep.

Colorado, not Quill, was bored out of his mind. He had decided to learn he harmonica, and was currently practicing now.

'You have increased you proficiency by a small amount, Colorado. This is a futile endeavor.'

That just made him play louder. He could care less if it way annoying, he was the one in the cell.

Wyoming-

"Where's that traitorous sucker, Alaska, now? Never trusted him! But he told you something! Where is he? Where?" Wyoming asked?

Wyoming-

"Well, you know, I've heard that if you don't cooperate in therapy, they're gonna put you down… and study you for scientific reasons. And they'll rip your AI apart! And repurpose the fragments!" Wyoming was shouting, cackling with near-fanatic laughter in is quest to kill and revenge upon Inssurectionists.

AGENT DELAWARE

Delaware quietly entered Quill's rehab cell. His eyes shifted between Wyoming and Quill, his cold gaze unchanging. While he said nothing, Achilles spoke up for him. "Agent Wyoming, Agent Delaware wishes to know what is going on here."

[QUOTE="Dr Dovahkiin Church]Wyoming ignored Quill. He then turned to Delaware. "Haven't you heard about Alaska?" He asked coldly.

Delaware's one good eye retained its unwavering gaze. "Delaware has n-"

"No. I have not heard about Alaska," Delaware replied, cutting off Achilles. "Enlighten me."

Wyoming-

"Alaska is an Innie now. Colorado is his partner in crime." Wyoming said, walking towards Colorado with an angry look on his face.

Arizona

Location: Training Room

Interacting with: Agent New York (@Dr Dovahkiin Church)

Arizona stopped mid-blow when she heard the doors open behind her. Upsilon vanished from view as she called out,
"F.I.L.S.S., time and store data for later." Breathing heavily, she turned to the person who interrupted her, eyebrows raising when she saw it was Agent New York. She took a moment to gather herself, taking deep and even breaths. She rolled her right shoulder as she approached the senior agent.

The corner of her lips twitched as she registered the senior agent's question. Alaska was the other recon specialist she met. She wasn't quite sure who Colorado was, but they had to have done something else New York wuldn't have asked.
"Only heard about Alaska being AWOL and a missing Pelican. Doesn't take much to add those information together. Haven't heard anything about Colorado though. Why?"

Glancing to the side as she realised how suspiscious it seemed that she didn't know anything, she decided that no one needed to know she hasn't fully reintegrated Upsilon back to the systems just yet, so she added offhandedly,
"I haven't gone through the records since coming back from the mission." She clenched her jaw for a moment, completely tensing up at the mention of the failed mission.

And you say all those gruelling training sessions you've had since then wasn't about the failure to complete the objective. What was it that they say about liars? Ah, yes. Their pants are on fire. Upsilon? Yes? Shut up.

Quill walked into the room, bare of any armor. It was probably confiscated. He had a smirk on his face, and was unusually happy. Must've been cause he was in a prison cell before. He looked Arizona up and down, unnervingly. It seemed like he was analyzing every last inch of her.

"Speak of the Devil...and he shall appear. Lemme guess, you've heard how bad Colorado's been, eh? Oh, I'm Quill, by the way, Colorado's mental roommate! Isn't that a blast?!"

He walked right up to her and took a low bow, taking her hand his his and raising it. His eyes were trained on her visor, his grin growing mischeviously.
