So Nico was born in 1995 and got bitten when he was 16. As a result, his brain got stunted and now, Nico has a very child-like mentality/maturity(we're talking 5 years old). Even if Nico became human again, he'd still have the child mentality.

Interesting. I had it in my lore that the zombies didn't age once bitten, but that since they had to develop ways to communicate without words/make up their own words, they were very intelligent.

For my zombies, one part of the brain(it's different for everyone) just becomes wayyyyyyyyyyyyy less developed along with their craving for flesh. But yeah, also my zombies age when bitten either. Once Nico turns into a human, he'll age from 16 and mature from the mental age of 5.
