The First Day: Orientation

Many students were arriving now, the start of a new school year imminent. There were enough that it was even causing a little bit of a traffic jam on the narrow roadway leading up to the school. The town further down the slopes, outside of the forest, knew this school had their new students coming in this time of year. Though they had no choice but to drive through the town, it never really prepared well enough for it. The small city got so congested on the main road that led to the eventual school. Past the town, the road winded through the hills that came before the mountains, and split through the dense forest that surrounded the perfectly placed school. In places, the leaves and branches cascaded above the road, intertwining to form bridges of nature. The road didn't seem to split the forest, it was only a feature added in that was passed by with a polite glance. For once, Mother nature welcomed this modern piece.

The closer one got, the more that they could see people inside milling about. There were a lot of people, looking no different than a human, but once they checked in, and got in past the gate, their view would change. The glamour bubble made it seem to those outside that this was a normal human academy, but the instant that they got inside, they would be able to see gargoyles and dragons keeping people safe, vampires talking to one another, someone in a wolf form perhaps, and even people flying about.

Over the loudspeaker, a female voice kept coming up, likely a recording, that announced the introduction tents and assembly. "Welcome new students, there are a couple of things going on all day. There will be introduction tents set up in an outdoor area to the left of the entrance. There are signs pointing the way. There will also be assemblies taking place there throughout the day. For times of these assemblies, check with one of the information booths. Have a good first day," the voice said, and then repeated over and over every five minutes or so.

This outdoor location was a large area set aside. There was a flat area for the tents, looking a lot like a more organized renaissance fair, and a sloped area with tons of seats that made up a natural amphitheater. A number of the tents had large letters above them on signs, and a couple signs on the ground near them that explained, "Go to the booth that corresponds to your last name, or your first name if you do not have a last name. They will give you your classes and your roommate list.‏" Not only students were around, but there were also staff, teachers, and guards, even though most had been there for a while already, all getting whatever note the people in charge wished to give them this time around. Some were simple, others were a bit more complex.

This usually changes within the first few weeks of school.

There was currently an assembly going on, loud talking in the background explaining the various parts of the school, the areas where you could eat, what to do if you had a problem with your schedule, and other important things. After a while, a dragon with a particularly loud, booming voice, flew and touched down, standing on the students' level now, "Ask me any questions about the school or its policies if you'd like to. The next assembly is in an hour. My name is Jashi'il, and I am the head of the guards here. If anyone knows the answer to a question, it'd be me."

Meandering through the town before slipping onto the winding road that headed through hills and forest to the base of a mountain, trees passing by a moderate pace despite the congestion of the earlier roads as hundreds of young and eager students made their way to a school that was home to myths and legends come true, everything was relatively quiet. Outside the sun was beginning to set beneath the horizon, the palate of colors swashing the once pale blue of day into oranges, purples, pinks and reds; as if one had taken a paintbrush and smeared any pretty colors they could find across the heavens, swathing the once white clouds gray. Passed out in the back of the luxurious car, a sign of status and prestige of the owner of the vehicle, was the prone form of a child, her gray hair concealing some of her face as she lay somewhat curled up in the backseat, her head resting against the back passenger door behind the driver's side. Even as the day ended the child didn't move to wake, she was human after all and needed sleep, unlike the supernatural school she was being made to go to along with her mistress and mistress's...bodyguard or fellow slave? The child's body rose and fell with each breath she took, looking quite frail and vulnerable in her current state. Uasal Uasal AI10100 AI10100

Matavar Calnaeros-Levsea|18 Yrs-1 Yr Tuned|Sanguine/Psychic-House Levsea
"Young master are you sure this is what you want?" questioned the human driver of a silver Mitsubishi Lancer, a pair of indigo eyes looking through the rearview mirror at the heir to the minor house of Levsea whom was staring out the window in boredom, fingers tapping restlessly on the door handle as he watched the forest and the changing of the sky.

"It is what father wishes for me due to my young age," spoke the black-haired vampire. "Or are you questioning my father's authority Neral?"

"No, young master. My family has been serving the Levsea bloodline for generations. I did not expect you to agree to this is all."

The frozen-forever eighteen-year-old vampire turned his head towards the front of the car and his brown eyes met those of the human, becoming cold and dead which caused the driver to turn quickly back towards the road, the car beginning to slow as they passed through the gate of the school and pulled into a circular driveway. "So...this is the school that I'm being sent to?" Matavar spoke quietly to himself, one hand going towards a dagger and pulling it out of its sheath. "Inform father that I made it here successfully and without issues. Do you know if we're getting slaves here or not?"

The human shook his head. "I do not young master but I believe this school has feeders that belong to the school. Whether you are assigned one for personal use is unknown to me as well as any other uses they may possess to the supernatural students here."

A sigh escaped Matavar as he heard this and slid his dagger back into its sheath. The fledgling and heir to the Levsea House had come prepared. As father had said, he was a mercenary and assassin now, albeit in training but it didn't mean he could reveal the secrets of the house to outsiders nor skip his training. Once the car had stopped, Neral jumped out and opened the door for Matavar, before heading to the trunk to get the heir's things and set them down off to the side, leaving Matavar to get out of the vehicle and look around him. Vampires milled around speaking to each other and to his left there were tents and tables set up that looked like a renaissance festival. A few werewolves milled around and tended to stick together in their own group, these werewolves being within their own bodies and of course there seemed to be guards. "I will inform master of your arrival young liege," spoke Neral as he came back to Matavar and bowed respectfully. Matavar merely nodded and stepped away from the car, thereby dismissing the human servant and the man got into the car and drove off, leaving Matavar there with his bags. Sighing in annoyance, the vampire walked over to his belongings and picked them up, turning his head towards a loudspeaker that was repeating something every five minutes about going to the information booth that had their names on it and getting a list of their classes and roommate. Matavar wasn't entirely sure if father had gotten him special permission to take classes in the physical specialty gym but even if he hadn't, the vampire wouldn't pass up the challenge to train himself physically as well as his psychic abilities. Magic was useless, the Levsea house hadn't produced a magical vampire in half a century.

Athena stretched and arched her back as she slides out of her servant's black Toyota Corolla. The father of her own personal feeder had driver her and her feeder to their new school for the year. Athena glanced around at the hustle and bustle of all of the staff and the new students talking and walking around. She didn't like it here already. You see, Athena was 9 months pregnant with her vampire child and her father saw it fit to make her come to this school, which was so far out of the way of civilization, when she could pop at any moment.

Athena had hated the thoughts of having a baby at first, but since the fertility of vampires is so poorly was more of an honor and got her out of her father's "practices" it was more like beatings. The girl had worn a long, flowing white designer dress thst fit her rotund form perfectly. It was open in the back sadly though revealing her scars to the world.

Most of her scars always healed and faded over time but these two on her back wouldn't ever heal and occasionally bled. This lead to her nickname "fallen angel" since it looked like wings had been ripped off of her back.

The girl turned her head to spot the servant rushing over to the passenger side of the car to help his daughter out of the car since she was pregnant as well. Forced into it due to her own pregnancy since all new vampires in her family must have a personal servant. He then rushed around to the back to grab their bags.

Kalean had been very quiet in the back of the car, the opposite side from her mistress staring out the window the entire time, eyes staring seemingly somewhat sadly at the passing surrounds and trees as the car driven by her own farther to the school approached, it was the firs time she'd been allowed to see him in five years- and yet she wa prohibited form saying a word to him about anything, the way the feeders were treated meant no family connection, no otherwise attachments or worries to think about in the vampires opinions, keep them as far away from each other as possible, it wouldn't be a stretch to say it was growing up without parents…. In truth maybe it was worse, knowing they're so close and yet never allowed to interact, her mother had been transferred to a far off relative to the family as a gift shortly after she was born, her farther taken away on guard and feeding duty, she never even saw his face until she was seven, and that was only because of a dinner party interrupted by Athena suddenly needing a feed, the small girl in tattered cloth, shaackled hands and mud covered cheeks shoved into the room and eyes briefly catching those of the others, shimmering in a small spark of hope before she was escorted away once again.

She was so caught up in thought she'd barely realised their arrival, snapped out at the closing of Athena's door as the female got out in the white dress, her farther opening her door as well abut all she could offer in return was a small and yet polite smile with slightly teary eyes, normally able to hold back a lot better but the pregnancy hormones were really taking over her mind it seemed lately, she felt like such an idiot crying here and managed to stop quickly, dishonouring the family by seeming weak was something she didn't need to be punished for, she'd been on her bets behaviour lately for her own and her unborn childs sake, though it still hadn't saved her from the beating as usual, standing a few steps behind her pureblood master she held one arm as her eyes looked up surveying the surroundings with a slightly shimmering coat from the previous tears that had been welling, she was in what appeared to a previously white now dirtied and slightly blood stained shirt with black leggings much in the same state, she had a bruise on her left arm and multiple of what seemed like beating or whip like marks across her shoulders and hands, her short blue hair tucked neatly behind her ear as she looked around timidly, spooking a little at the loudspeaker announcement before letting out an awkward chuckle to herself and sigh of relief, her own bulging stomach clear, the forced on pregnancy wasn't soemthing she enjoyed, most feeders weren't bred till way into their thirties or late twenties, and yet here she was, a week 18 and a month less pregnant than the one she served, her shirt fitting over it to a certain and awkward extent, it was almost like someone slightly flattened then cut in half a watermelon and shoved it under her shirt, well- at least that's how she often thought of it trying to cheer herself up about the fact she looked like a bloated whale.

Matavar Calnaeros-Levsea|18 Yrs-1 Yr Tuned|Sanguine/Psychic-House Levsea
Unlike most vampires who tended to adopt the name of their sire upon turning and forsook their human name, Matavar had hyphenated his own name, adding his sire's name onto his last name so that he retained some form of humanity and his heritage along with the heritage he had been unwillingly thrust into but had now learned to accept over the past year. Should the vampire ever have children, his firstborn son and daughter would inherit his human name, the second born and succeeding children would belong to House Levsea. It wasn't a thought though that the male catered to much of, he wanted to enjoy his life for a while and thus was in no hurry to have children of his own...father didn't seem to care whether he tried bedding a vampire or bed one of their servants though was unsure how the breeding of a vampire and dragonkin servant of their house would work out. Matavar hadn't been very aware of his father saving him or of even finding him in the warehouse, lured there by the young one's screams and the scent of blood loss that pooled around Matavar from deep wounds, some from magical means which had turned into scars.

Easily lifting his duffel bag, Matavar slipped the strap over his neck so that it rested against his right hip, the vampire straightened at the sound of car doors slamming and the scent of blood wafting on the little breeze that rustled the branches of the trees. Turning to see where the scent was coming from and not necessarily the presence of the car, his eyes lit upon a pair of women; one in some form of regal dress that looked like liquid silver, the other dressed in normal if not oddly tight clothing...that seemed to be where the blood was coming from. Both had bulging stomachs and he knew of only two reasons that happened. They were otherwise fat or pregnant. Given that he had never seen a fat vampire and this pair were both females, he assumed they were both pregnant; the one dressed in leggings hanging onto the other's arm and standing somewhat behind the other who had a pale complexion. Only being a vampire for a year, Matavar had much to learn about the supernatural and hadn't yet learned to recognize vampires or even other supernaturals...much less the dangerous vampire hunters that father had warned him of though they didn't seem to populate the USA much.

As he watched, the odd-clothed woman jumped as the loudspeaker again repeated its instructions to all inhabitants to again go to the information booths that had their names. Matavar didn't need to peek into the woman's mind and read her thoughts to know she seemed nervous and scared, that was evidenced by her body language and the way she held herself. "Now what is a pregnant girl doing in a place that seems to spook her? Or perhaps it is the person she is with that makes her start like a frightened rabbit," spoke Matavar to the oddly-clothed woman telepathically, directing his mental speech to the woman only. Astiel was silent during the car ride to the school. His driver, one of his sire's most trusted feeders, was silent also, ordered not to speak to the young vampire unless it was absolutely necessary. It wasn't that Astiel didn't want to talk to the man, it was that the 18 year old was nervous. For the last two years he'd lived with his sire and his sire's few feeders, refusing to take one of his own. Astiel had rarely left the house unless it was with his sire, feeling safe and protected by the man. As such, the young vampire didn't have any friends at all, no one that he might know at this new school. He knew, of course, that he had to interact with others, he just wasn't sure that it was an entirely good idea.

After all, for the first 16 years of his life he'd lived with vampire hunters, his parents. And, for the 6 years between the age of 10 and 16, he'd been abused by his father. So he wasn't exactly the most trusting of creatures. Especially around humans. His sire and his sire's feeders were the only one's Astiel felt comfortable around, since he'd had two years of safety with them. But now that safety was being thrown out of the window. He had to attend this school. And he wasn't going to enjoy it at all.

Jolted out of his thoughts by the voice of his driver, announcing their arrival, Astiel gave a grumbled mumble of thanks, and climbed out. He could have, should have, waited for the driver to open the door for him, but Astiel just wanted to get this all over with. He wasn't allowed to grab his own bags, the driver assuring him that they'd be delivered by the man himself inside the school. And so, with no excuse to not be interacting with others, Astiel moved through the gates. Glancing around warily, he noticed two girls. One particularly caught his attention because of the scent of blood. But it was easy to see that both she, and the one Astiel assumed was her mistress, were pregnant. Which was no problem to Astiel, but he was just unsure if he should approach anyone anyway. Maybe he should just find a corner to hide in.

Ash was silent as she remained curled in the rear of the car. The woman driving her was one of the vampires that owned her, and she was busy listing out rules. That Ash should do her best in every class. That she should always do as she was told. Speak only when spoken to. Not speak about the family she belonged to. Really, Ash had heard it before when she'd first heard news of being sent here. So she didn't really need to listen again, just had to act like it.

She climbed out and pulled her bag with her once they reached the place, shaking slightly. It was evident that this place was covered in people she didn't know, and she was at the bottom of the food chain. As it was, the clothes that hung off her, the multitude of scars over her arms and neck, the only places visible, should have been enough for others to know. Plus, the bite on her wrist that she was cradling close, a goodbye present from the woman in the car. Pale, she felt woozy as it was, and really wasn't paying attention to much.

---
Artemis was not having a good day. She hated school already, and she'd barely got in the gate after being dropped off by Argus. As a werepire, she knew she was already going to be the target of bullies. She had before. She didn't fit in with vampires, and not with the wolves either. Both would hate her, she could guarantee. Which was why she was hiding her werewolf form as much as possible. If she could somehow make it through this without revealing her true species... maybe she could make friends. Bullies... Well, she'd be fighting against those. She always did. It was the best way to ensure they wouldn't pick on her again. And to defend herself.

Wandering in, she sighed. There were a lot of people around, and she absently wondered if anyone could tell the difference between her scent and that of an actual vampire. Argus always said he couldn't but... He could always be lying to make her feel better. That was more like him.

Francis: Is it out of the frying pan and into the fire? Or just into another frying pan? Aw heck, it's into the jaws of a vampire. That's obvious.
I looked at the Moon and for once I was glad I had a wonky circadian rhythm. It earned me scorn from my mother, but here I would fit right into the schedule here.
But the creepiest thing ever is that I belonged to a school now. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Or maybe it would be just the same as with all the schools that only acted like I was property.
Well, whoever I displease, they won't be Sabina Sato, for better or for worse, and I'm sure that woman is better off without somebody she hates around.
I examined my note once again, wondering about this Astaroth Storm, then pocketed the note once more.

Sam: Donning the very outfit I wore on the day I was turned- an entirely black outfit, masculine aside from the bow on my head and the way I had done my makeup- I arrived from a silent car ride, just as nervous as the next guy. The Salvaeus vampires were kind to me, but I may not have the luck with the rest that I had with them.
My history was not the best. I wondered if I should have turned my back on my old family like that. But they killed people. They didn't view vampires as being anything but monsters. That, in my opinion, was not okay.

"I think it'll be okay" I said to myself, though I was unsure of the statement.

Turning to see where the scent was coming from and not necessarily the presence of the car, his eyes lit upon a pair of woman; one in some form of regal dress that looked like liquid silver, the other dressed in normal if not oddly tight clothing...that seemed to be where the blood was coming from.

Cosmos Cosmos

Athena steals a few glances at her pregnant servant and sighs gently to herself. The scars on her back were bleeding gently and she decided it would be best not to draw attention to it, but she knew with the vampires' heightened sense of smell, they all would be able to smell her blood. Athena felt her baby kick as if she was hungry and the girl smirks gently and rubs her belly in circles. "Not now my love...You know how mommy feels about feeding in public," she shakes her head slowly, "servant let us go sign in," she says regally not really wanting to. To be honest, the girl and the servant had grown rather close over the years and even though Athena has to be cruel and demanding in public, she hoped that the servant girl would know she didn't truly mean it.

The vampire began to waddle towards the tents in search of her assigned roommate Evangeline. She had no idea that she would be assigned to such an esteemed member of the royal family. If she was correct in her thinking, they were cousins.

Kalean continued to glance around at the rather grande and breathtaking building before a sudden voice caused her to panic once again and glance around quickly, she'd had the vampire mind speech used before on herself but it still felt like an invasion of privacy-…. whatever privacy she had left that was. Eventually spotting a male nearby looking little too cocky and clearly vampiric for her liking she straightened a little and raised a brow subtly, she didn't need a beating for seeming rude to another 'higher' kind, "I-I…. have no choice in the matter…." she whispered under her breath in reply, her attention quickly drawn back to her mistress as she perked up and nodded, following alongside quickly though remaining at the correct pace, hearing the womans words one hand awkwardly went to her neck and rubbed the heavy scarred side of bite marks a little though her small and polite smile remained.

At the tent area her eyes glanced around curiously, Bethany? At least it was another feeder, but they were only 10…. That certainly was an age difference, though then again saying that when so used to the contrary differences in vampire society sounded little silly as she giggled softly to herself, as the other began to waddle around she continued to follow after, even in this condition she wasn't allowed to comfort of loosing posture, no matter how sore her back may have been she had to remain in the correct stance, hand resting in light grasp of each other as far down her stomach as though could go, almost enchanting eye colour hiding loosely beneath her bangs that kept interruption her view but she wasn't allowed to brush them away, it would be the first time in a while she'd have a roommate to sleep with even half near her own age, she was housed with another feeder every once and again in her small room but they were almost always in their thirties or forties, generally guest feeders from parties the pureblood family held at their estate, she was actually a little excited about it if she were to be honest, a giddy and slightly innocent smile curving her lips along with a light blush from being out of breath in this form of walking that showed clearly on her pale cheeks.

Lady Titania Salvaeus
Meandering through the town before slipping onto the winding road that headed through hills and forest to the base of a mountain, trees passing by a moderate pace despite the congestion of the earlier roads as hundreds of young and eager students made their way to a school that was home to myths and legends come true, everything was relatively quiet. Outside the sun was beginning to set beneath the horizon, the palate of colours swashing the once pale blue of day into oranges, purples, pinks and reds; as if one had taken a paintbrush and smeared any pretty colour they could find across the heavens, swathing the once white clouds grey.

Passed out in the back of the luxurious car, a sign of both the status and prestige of the owner of, was the prone form of a child, her gray hair concealing some of her face as she lay somewhat curled up in the backseat, her head resting against the back passenger door behind the driver's side.

"She's so precious," Titania remarked softly as she watched the small girl beside her rise and fall with every breath. The feeder had not been in her care for all too long at this stage and truth be told this was perhaps the first time Titania had seen her in such a peaceful state. "Michael, have you ever seen her sleep so well? you know, I actually read in a book once that human children find car rides soothing. Do you think that has something to do with this? If so, perhaps I should take the car out more,".

Titania shifted in her seat, turning away from her feeder to instead face her bodyguard and closest friend Michael. Both herself and him got along like a house and fire, like a fish and water. There was very little Titania kept from him and she knew very well there was nothing he kept from her. The man knew Titania better than anyone and she did him likewise. With a soft smile Titania awaited a response but after a few seconds of silence, she spoke again teasingly "You know Michael if anyone was to see us together like this, that is me, you and little Bethany here. They may mistake us for a human family. Wouldn't that be funny, shall we try it? Should we stop in the town before our arrival and test my thesis?". Titania knew Michael would catch onto her ruse quickly but she hoped her little piece would at least make him a little flustered.

The woman didn't reply really to his mental comment but she seemed to know telepathy which was interesting before hurrying after the other woman who mentioned something about feeding in public. The Levsea heir fingered his dagger, for a moment wondering if father would be too upset for cutting the child out of the vampire woman's womb and rendering her unable to have any future children...maybe slip his dagger through her heart in the process. He turned to watch the pair leave for the renaissance festival thing before picking up his other bags in his hands. Everyone has a choice human, he thought to himself. Really if their own servants and bodyguards had rebelled over the years, a simple pregnant girl should be able to accomplish something and lose the parasite festering within her, likely unwillingly put there by some asshole of a vampire. It was just a guess on Matavar's part, the sanguine/psychic vampire might be able to crush the child's life force out as well possibly, though he'd never attempted to kill infants in utero before. Becoming bored again, Matavar began walking towards the renaissance thing himself, all that was missing was people from decades ago dressed in strange clothing and Da Vinci standing somewhere and trying to invent a flying machine or whatever the man of many trades could come up with.

Glancing at the tents as he passed them, Matavar was again wondering why these people who had been born leeches and probably didn't have a shred of humanity in them, much less souls, acted like they were God's gift to the world and better than the humans that were forced to serve the vampire race. Did these creatures even have any feelings at all besides lust and a craving for blood, a hatred for man and wolf alike? Spotting the tent after ambling along for a short time with his name on it, the vampire ducked inside and plucked two papers with his room mate's name on one and his class schedule on the other. Seeing that he had physical education sessions and psychic education sessions pleased the young heir, it looked like father had done something to get him training in both things that their house's inhabitants specialized within. Reading over the short note on his room mate, the vampire frowned at the comment that he was to behave himself. "A Lord hmm? This should be an entertaining few years then," he mused to himself.

Bethany Rosewell|10 Yrs|Feeder/Slave-House Salvaeus
The young child didn't even wake as her mistress began speaking quietly to the man beside the woman who had found the child after her previous master had beaten and hurt her. The child was only lucky she was still pure, though there was no telling how long that would last with the way vampires were wanting offspring and more slaves to be bred at every possible turn. Her innocence had been shattered months ago by being purchased like an animal and thrust into a scary and harmful world that she didn't understand, a world that as she saw and experienced was crueler than anything man could do to each other. Bethany shifted in her sleep, a small whimper escaping her as she once again felt the sudden pain in her now gaping eye socket as her eye had been cut out, a hand going immediately to the girl's left side of her face. The child didn't remember her parents much, her mother having died when she was very young, her father a couple years later. Being thrust into a world that had no business existing in real life and modern society, with monsters that bled humans dry and hurt her, threatened things that the child didn't understand when she became older, was not a nice way of life to grow up in. To be sentenced to a lifetime of servitude all for monsters who lurked in the dark and not treated as a person but an animal...well it was no wonder the child had no trust in her mistress or her bodyguard-slave thing and was terrified of the supernatural...it was even more a miracle if the child never sided with the vampire hunters or became one herself. Michael found himself sitting on the passenger seat on the way to the Prestigious Bloodlines Academy. He had originally wanted to drive himself, but they raised the problem of his lack of eyesight on his right eye and convinced him to take a driver. He was a bit disappointed in that, but he agreed to it. For the safety of his master, he was willing to let go of some satisfaction in life. The ride was relatively peaceful. if not a little bit jarring because of how congested it soon became the closer they got to the location of the academy. Michael was a patient man, but traffic was a different thing entirely. Especially if they had a time limit. But... perhaps he shouldn't get too frustrated. After all, there was no way they would get plunged into classes immediately right?

When Titania began to speak, he looked at the rearview mirror to look at them. Indeed, Bethany, Titania's personal human feeder, had been slumbering peacefully. A smile found its way to his face. "Mhm, indeed she is." It was no secret that he was rather fond of the young feeder - same with every other human he's interacted with at the Farrow household. They were quite nice and respectful, two things he appreciated in a person. "Is that so? Perhaps it would be a good idea then. If it's only for a short amount of time, I could drive for you two." He offered. It always pleased him that Titania wasn't like other vampire lords and ladies. He's heard that most treat their slaves like just that - slaves. Especially Bethany's old master. His blood boiled at the mere thought of him. How could someone hurt anyone else like that when they were so defenseless?

Titania's joking proved to surprise him as his eyes widened at the proposal and a very light blush appeared on his face. But then he broke into a grin and let out a warm chuckle. "While it would be most amusing to test that out, we still have to get to school." It wasn't an odd occurrence when she would let out joking remarks such as this. Michael would often get flustered because of this, but he was always quick to recover. He always took solace in the fact that he didn't have to bear through her teases whenever there are other people around. She has to keep up appearances, after all.

Roland was quite excited for the new batch of students coming to Prestigious Bloodlines Academy. He always liked watching the students grow up in the school and learn more about their powers - and themselves. It had always been a pleasure to guide the students to the right path. He knew what it felt like to be lost. For an educated man like himself, it had been quite a disgrace to look back to what had happened to him. Though, he can't say that he didn't appreciate being a poltergeist. He had a lot more things he could do than a normal spirit, and he managed to reign in his own temper so he wouldn't go crazy again. Having the other members of the school keep him sane was certainly helpful. Everyone in this school could see him anyway, so there was a very little chance of losing himself while he was here. He certainly appreciated Headmistress Ysera taking him in when he applied for a role as a simple janitor until he got promoted to guidance counselor after he meddled with some affairs for the better.

One of the perks of being a spirit or poltergeist was the fact that the shackles of man when it came to physical needs were taken off. Roland, himself, was quite glad that he came back even though he wasn't sure how he did it. It wasn't like he was all that physical either - as he had only been able to tap into his magical reserves quite well as a Magister and soon as a Psychic when he died. Fighting with weapons certainly wasn't for him. And now, it certainly doesn't affect anything he does.

He looked at the time to see that it was time to get out of his room. It was time to face reality once more. He flew through the walls, occasionally waving at the other members of the school. Sometimes, he even stopped to talk and exchange information with them. There wasn't much to the rumors - but there was one where the heirs of both the Salvaeus bloodline and the Aeternus bloodline were entering this year. He was interested what Dagan would do for his daughter while they were at school. He was never the kind of person to show any care and affection to most people. Especially against those who weren't a vampire, like himself for example. Roland wasn't a big fan of Dagan, a lot of them weren't, but he decided that it wouldn't be too bad to simply just ignore each other when they don't need to interact.

When he got out to the outside area, it was just in time to see Jashi'il - the dragon that was also the head of the guard - land and then announce that he was there in case anyone wanted any of their questions to be answered. True to his word, he knew everything they needed to know about the school considering how long he's been at the academy. Besides, he knew all the rules by heart. Considering his position, he needed to. Roland simply floated above the student body, occasionally telling others that he was also available to be talked to.

Ellie watched as the scenery of buildings and cars turned into trees and other such wildlife. The road sloped up and down, and it was simply a wonderful feeling for Ellie to stick her head outside the window. The car came up towards a rather large building with lots of people inside. So this was the school... Ellie looked at her parents. They exchanged their "I love yous" and "I'll call yous", before finally parting ways. She watched her parents drive away and suddenly she felt a crushing weight on her. It finally hit her that she'd just left her whole life behind to go to some strange place... and while she was excited, she really missed everyone at home.

The bat grill walked into the building, and was immediately shocked frozen. Everyone inside the building had morphed into different beings. There were vampires, gargoyles, dragons, werewolves... Holy shit, this was actually happening! Excitement filled Ellie's face, and suddenly she was overtaken by this childish delight. A voice boomed from somewhere, speaking of assemblies and information booths. Ellie hung on to each word the woman said.

The girl went out to read the signs. She found her note and read through it. Standard, standard, quite fake indeed. Typical school messages. Her roommate was someone by the name of Artemis Lunala. Fancy name. Was she a human? Or maybe she was a vampire... or a werewolf... or a dragon... Oh dear, she could be anything!

What could Ellie do now? Oh, there was so much to do... a dragon came out of nowhere announcing that he knew all the answers or something... OH, there was a man standing there with such pretty clothing... and his hair! Purple hair!!! Ellie rushed up to him, eager to talk to someone.

"Hello!" The girl exclaimed. "I'm Ellie. Who are you? Oh, you have really nice clothing... where'd you get it? And your hair and your eyes, they're really pretty!"

Athena let her long hair flow in waves as she walked into the tent to get her schedule. She did hope her and her servant would at least have a few classes together in case something happened. The servant girl most likely never realized it, but Athena had protected her from many beatings over the years by taking the blame for broken items around the house when she didn't do it. Athen cared about her that much, but could never say it out loud without punishment. Humans were lesser beings but how could they be lesser beings if they can think and feel and love just like vampires?

Athena sighs again as she leans against a table slightly to rest since her large stomach was quite heavy even for the physically strong girl. She found herself rubbing her stomach again as it growls. She needed to feed soon, but she refused to feed in public to not embarrass herself. Athena found herself licking her lips as she eyed the pale, gentle neck of her feeder servant. Her blood was always so delicious and it flowed like liquid chocolate in your mouth.

Roland, after a few more minutes of floating around, decided to levitate only a few inches off the ground so that he could talk with the others without them being forced to crane their heads upwards. He pointed to the students where they should go and whatnot if they ask to. For the younger human feeders who were still a bit wary, he would often perform small bits of telekenesis to make them feel at ease - doing some juggling with a little bit of cheating. He felt bad for those young children who are forced to be pretty much like slaves to the vampires, but it keeps everything peaceful. If only vampires had alternatives, but they didn't, and it was a shame.

Not minutes after the children left, another bounded up to him. She was obviously a partial human - with bat features. It wasn't often he ran into partial animals back when he was still alive. This academy gave him some new perspective because of this. He certainly appreciated it. He gave the young girl a smile, seeing how undaunted she was by how he was levitating. She commented on his lilac hair and eyes and how pretty they were. He absentmindedly ran a hand through said hair. "Oh, thank you." He first said with a small smile on his face. "My name is Roland Allister, I'm the guidance counselor here. It is a pleasure to meet you Ellie."

There was a flash of sadness on his face when she asked where he got his clothes from. Truth be told, it was from his mother - or rather, it was passed down from generation after generation from his family wherein it's modified with every generation it's passed down to. He let out a small sigh and forced a smile on his face. "Afraid you can't buy anything like this around here anymore. Got it when I was still young." He replied, his tone becoming more lighthearted.

Ivan Timurovich
It was a first time for Ivan - being within the states and winding around the Appalachian chain of mountains. After being accepted into the "Prestigious Bloodlines Academy," the family had thrown a party for him and made sure that he was coming into the states in style - though he himself felt it was far too much to spend on him basically moving to another place. It didn't really matter to him if he came to the states first-class or coach, in a limousine or a taxi, and in a suit-and-tie or his more comfortable preference - good old jeans and a t-shirt. Of course, jeans and a t-shirt didn't sport a Focus that looked like an energy-directed firearm more sleek and stylish with chest rig without a jacket, or keep it concealed (He only imagined the jokes he would get if it was concealed in his pants), and a drop-holster would just make it more likely to be stolen until he got his mana-lock holster, but he didn't have much of a choice in the way he would get here, and the family spent a lot on the outfit. He'd been eyeing the three-piece, but that didn't mean they had to go and buy it.

Still, the drive from the closest air-port was long, and the flight was just as long and boring. He didn't really indulge in first class since it'd just be a waste of time, but instead had been looking over the manual for his focus that was ever-so-strangely named the "Dominator." If he was given a dangerous gift, then it was time well-spent that he had used the flight to familiarize himself with it. Even now, he was re-reading the manual in the back of the limousine that it veered and swayed this way and that before finally beginning to slow down again. Was there another traffic jam?

"Mr. Timurovich," a voice called over a speaker - the driver. He was a middle-aged man, just now beginning to earn the grey streaks on either side of his temples, and was fairly quiet throughout the time he was driving Ivan to their destination. "We've arrived."

The middle finger of Ivan's right hand held down a button on the door's console as he spoke, a thick, deep basso of a Russian accent slipping through. Still, it was well-practiced, fluent English that was used, and not the stereotypical broken variety. "Thank you, Mr. Helavor," he replied. "Don't worry about the luggage, since it isn't much. I'll unload it myself."

"If you're sure, sir. I hope your stay in this academy goes well."

"Thanks again."

With their conversation over, the Limo had slowed to a stop at the front gates of the Bloodlines Academy. Ivan, casually closing the manual he had been reading, began to shift his body in order to open his door, but noticed that the driver had already come around to do so. As the door opened, a small breeze had come through and swept his brunette locks, and the scent of the air was far cleaner than he expected it to be - even if they were up in the mountains. It also exposed to him the enormous throng of students, faculty, and other staff that were assigned to this school, and it was far more than he expected. There were some who were quite... eclectic in their form of dress, others well-dressed like himself, and others in far more comfortable clothing, which made him almost wish he had just gone with jeans and a t-shirt. Still, there wasn't really much he could do about it now. It made his family happy that he wore it, and he'd gladly wear it for their sake.

With a sigh and a scratch of the back of his head, Ivan pulled himself from the comfort of the limousine seating and drew himself up to full height. He was six-foot-six-inches, with broad shoulders and a more core-built physique that was apparent even with the suit on. He didn't have anything like a So-Cal build with a waspish abdomen and wide chest, but was instead built more from hard work, hard training, and even harder exercise that gave him the kind of power he had - aside from being a Magister. A strong mind came from a strong body, and that philosophy was seen just as much in practice as it was in theory.

Just as he had brought himself to full height, he paced around to the back of the limousine, waiting for the chauffeur, who seemed far more lanky than Ivan and only around five-foot-seven, to pop the trunk. Once he did so, Ivan himself reached in to pull out what looked to be quite a heavy rucksack with relative ease. The driver, Mr. Helavor, raised a brow and gave a low whistle as he watched Ivan do so single-handedly, shutting the trunk as he did so.

"Bit of muscle on you, isn't there?" The driver said with disbelief, closing the trunk with a small thud. "I haven't seen a human swing around a hundred pounds like it was a puppy in quite a while. Nice bit of strength."

"Thanks," came Ivan's reply. After securing the rucksack's strap over his shoulder, Ivan's hand slipped into the inside jacket pocket to procure a wallet, pulling out a few bills and handing it to the man before shoving the wallet back where it belonged. "It's not much, but here. For the trouble."

With a nod of thanks and a tip of his hat, Mr. Helavor clambered back into his limousine and took off, leaving Ivan alone to make his way through the crowds. Right hand grasping the shoulder strap of his ruck, Ivan's left hand came up to rub the slight stubble that began to grow across his chin, producing a slight scratching sound as he contemplated the signs and the voice that looped over a speaker. The only thing for him to really do was to get his documents and find out his dormitory location, wasn't there? The plain-looking academy wasn't much to behold, but as he made his way inside, he could feel a single brow raise quite high - they were using a glamour to cover the entirety of the campus? "Color me Impressed," he thought to himself. He knew that many things were quite easy to do if you had enough mana and resources, but this was far more than he expected. Everything seemed more lavish and expensive.

After rubber-necking for a moment, Ivan decided that his last idea - which was to get his dorm information, was what he would move on to first. The sooner he could find his dormitory, the sooner he could set up his part of the quarters and move around without all the extra weight on him.

There was advantages and disadvantages of being tall: long legs made short trips shorter than those who were, naturally, shorter than himself, he could reach objects higher than himself, see over the majority of crowds, and generally do things that short people couldn't do. The drawbacks were overhangs, low doorways, low-hanging branches, generally things that were shorter and more stubborn than him, and of course his shins. For the most part, he didn't have to worry about such a thing since they were in quite the open space, but he was sure to... Bump into things that didn't exactly tolerate his height. He was sure of it. Still, it was fairly quick and simple to gather the information he needed-

But now he was noticing there was somewhat of a gathering. Peering over the multitude of heads bustling about, he noticed that there was something in particular going on - it seemed as if a couple had garnered the attention of a couple others... And one of them was not only pregnant, but she was looking worse for wear. Automatically he felt his legs move, now with more purpose as he cursed under his breath via his mother tongue, trying his best to keep a level head. It was hard to when you saw someone carrying life and looking worse than the person next to them, who he assumed was their 'Owner' of sorts. It didn't help that he was feeling the weight of the Dominator in his jacket, even if he refused to draw it.

See, there was something that Magisters usually were employed for, and that was to ensure that things weren't very tumultuous between the supernatural kind and the humans. Considering Magisters were a bit of an anomaly themselves, being able to use Magick and whatnot, that gained them a fair amount of respect from both mundane humankind and the Supernatural, and that meant they had a role to play. Of course, this might not have been the time and place, and he knew that, but he was going to make damn sure he kept his eyes on them from now on, even as he stopped to watch them leave and go about their business.

"One time," he thought, very pointedly. "Let me catch it happen once - I don't care who and what you are." With that said, and locking eyes with the vampire who had been toting around her feeder - more than hoping they heard, he turned away from them to continue on with his business. The Timurovich, though they weren't as well-known as other names such as the Aeternus and Salvaeus, were known well enough that, if one was in an area, it wasn't likely that a supernatural being would get away with harming or abusing a mundane, and if it happened in public or they were asked to.... rectify the situation, they did so with haste. They didn't care who it was or what they were - all that mattered was that they did their job, and that they didn't waste time doing so.

So he wouldn't waste time in his attempt to find this "Abagail Tyro" individual.

Kalean seemed curious as she glanced around, she'd ducked into her tent when they first entered and grabbed the sheet, she couldn't seem to spot the little girl pictured on the sheet quite yet though admittedly the image of the young girl made her smile, almost subconsciously lifting a hand to rub her stomach before realising what she was doing and quickly putting it away, she couldn't be seen doing such a thing in public, she had to keep up the vampire families reputation.

It was then when her gaze returned to Athena she blinked a little, it only took a moment for a fever to recognise when they're vampire was hungry, and Athena had been for some time, though they were not in right to force blood upon the others, lest bring out a vampires more chaotic instincts by letting them feed too often, though with the baby the other had been seeming to feed far more often, slowly Kalean lifted her hands and gently brushed the hair from her neck holding it back with one hair revealing the scared spots running up and down her neck on her pale skin, "M'lady-…. may feed if she wishes to…." to commented in a quiet yet regal tone with a slight curtsy, not that she could do much of one with her current stomach. They were standing rather easy to be seen in the more entrance to middle section of the tenting area, a small break of people around them as though respecting the presence of a pureblood.

GABRIEL TYRO

The walk to the young boy's new academy had been quite peaceful to say in the least. It was quiet and the beautiful sounds of nature filled the young hunters mind with such peace that if almost made up for the tragedy of having to live with such scum. Sadly nature's beautiful melodies were constantly interrupted by the passing by of numerous vehicles. These vehicles ranged from simple taxis all the way to exquisite limousines which in a sense made Gabriel a bit envious at the sight of such luxury. The vehicles contained his new "classmates" that he would be forced to socialize with due to his parent's request of investigating the academy. With each passing vehicle his composure would often shift to make it seem as if he were friendly. Each vehicle would be met by a bright smile and a small wave. It was a perfected act that he had been practicing all his life. This little act was complimented by his short size and frame allowing the hunter to fool even the most clever of enemies. He was taught by his family on how to switch between personas in a near instant making him quite the performer. As the vehicles eventually left out of his sight his friendly smile would turn back into that of a blank expression. To them he was nothing but a simple source of energy, and to him they were nothing more then a task he had been assigned.

The school grounds eventually came into Gabriel's sight which in turn peaked his curiosity in a number of ways. "Such an odd place for vampires of different bloodlines to gather. No wonder father dearest wanted this place investigated. I wonder how long it'll be before they're ripping out each others throats. Such marvelous entertainment it would be. Hopefully I get a front row seat to the bloodshed. Aw one can only dream" he said chuckling to himself. "Well it seems like its time to get into character. Oh what joy" Gabriel said sarcastically beginning to rub his face with the tips of his fingers relaxing the muscles as a bright smile began to spread across the young hunter's face. His eyes widened with excitement and his tone changed immensely to that of a more childish tune. His movements, posture, along with a number of different variables regarding to one's body language changed immensely. It was as if he was a completely different person going from his normal persona to that of a naive little boy. As the sight of people came into view his smile grew ever so wider and his face became filled with uncontrollable excitement. "This place is so cool!" He practically yelled in such a joyful tone that it was almost too adorable given his size and boyish looks. He began waving at his new classmates as he passed by them with such glee and energy that even the mopiest of individuals couldn't help but wave back. Of course the character on the outside was only comparable to the one inside the mind against those who possessed the ability to read minds. Thoughts of anything related to his mission were practically erased and replaced by the constant thoughts of gaming, manga, and even that of both cute girls and boys. It was then the a young vampire caught the eyes of the hunter. Studying the enemy was of vital importance so starting now would probably be in his best interest. "Hello there sir" said the young hunter walking towards the vampire with not a care in the world. "You don't seem too happy about that note. Is there anything I can do to help? Oh but where are my manners!" he said completely shocked at himself before performing a small bow at the waist to show a sign of respect. "My name Gabriel Tyro. It is an honor to make you acquaintance."

Athena nearly began to drool at the thought of feeding from her servant, but she gently shook her head. "Not here," she whispers to her servant and quickly averts her gaze to stop thinking of blood. The feeding wasn't good for the baby of her servant so she would always stave off the hunger until it became unbearable. This method nearly killed the girl at one point, but Athena had learned how to control her rabid hunger and feed only when absolutely necessary.

The girl soon turned her attention to a very tall looking man who walked in. Their eyes met and she knew what he was thinking. He had seen her thirst and desire to bite her servant's neck. It was common place to feed, but most vampires she knew did not like to in public. It would make her look weak if she couldn't hold her hunger back while people were around.

Kalean nodded in reply to her mistress's words, letting the hair go covering a little of her neck once more, she knew the woman would need to feed soon, in fact it was almost unusual feeling so at easy in the not being lightheaded, almost all feeders were from being drank from and it was clear sign Athena had been going too long once again, she'd get a beating not too mention feel bad if the other didn't feed soon, she hadn't noticed the male like the other had, instead watching curiously on as the female stared off into the crowd at a seemingly random direction.

Kalean slowly approached and gently grabbed the others arm with a hand, hand contact directly was forbidden, but arms or torso wasn't, gently she led Athena around the back of the tent with the pureblood name, a tree blocking most view by one side and it's shade in the soon to be evening light mostly from the other, slowly once again she revealed her neck holding the hair back, "…. Please-…. feed~" she insisted in as polite a way as possible, eyes saddened yet the small smile remaining on her face of obedience and duty to the other, gently holding the lower section of her bulging stomach with the other as though subtly trying to calm the baby for what was about to occur.

The girl was soon led by her servant into a more private location where only prying eyes would be able to see them. The servant once again revealed her scarred neck to her and Athena felt the hunger pangs hit her again. She needed to feed real soon, but would she be able to feed from the girl in good conscience? She was friends with her to a point and they were both going through pregnancy at the same time. Athena felt guilty for the events that led to the girl being forced to be pregnant. She never wanted that for her friend, now how could she feed from her happily while putting the baby at risk. She just couldn't do it. "Please...put your neck away before I regret my actions," she whispers to the girl.

Kalean shook her head and softly grabbed the girls hand, counting to expose her neck as her desperate eyes stared into those of the other female, "Please…." she whispered, her mistress's health was at the top of her priorities, her thoughts were trained and beaten into the routine and neither conscious or subconsciously she wasn't going to give up on this, gently the hand previously cradling her stomach reaching around the girls back and pushing the other a little closer, there was only so long the vampire would be able to hold back like this, she just hoped the breaking point would come before she had to give up due to discipline and rules, her own baby kicked and moved a little softly.

The tree beside them gently rustled, the breeze was small but warm, not to an unpleasant but rather quite nice degree, the slightly orange tinted greens of the unknown species a rather welcoming sight, something familiar in natures instant presence.

"N-No...I can't," she whispers in protest, but it was obvious that she could smell the delicious blood flowing through her servant's veins. She swore she could hear the beating of the other girl's heart and it nearly made the vampire go insane with hunger. Athena snapped out of her trance though and quickly pulled away. "I refuse. I'm sorry..." she shakes her head at her servant and quickly turns away to steel her emotions and hunger away as to not harm her friend.
