High Concept: An energetic new trainer who’s dreams of becoming the champion have been put on hold thanks to this whole mess.
Personality:
Kei has all of the traits that’d make him prime Pokémon trainer material. For one, he’s got all the spunk any energy to keep up in such a competitive environment, never being one to say no to a challenge. He absolutely thrives off of any sort of competition, ready to embrace victory with a big smile or to learn from his defeats as while Kei does certainly enjoy winning, he isn’t childish enough to mope about losing either. Though besides that one could say he’s pretty childish in all other aspects of his personality. This is best showcased in just how impulsive Kei is, as he rarely even takes the time to think things through thoroughly before rushing in. He’s a man of action above all else. Furthermore his childishness leads him to have a pretty simple worldview. Kei’s much more of an optimist compared to the more jaded people around him, as he is someone who strongly believes in the power of perseverance. If Kei works hard enough then surely things will turn out right eventually! With how deeply Kei believes in this philosophy, it’s a struggle for him to grapple with situations where things aren’t as clear cut as he’d want them to be.

All in all, Kei had a pretty normal life up to landing in Hisui. He lived in Hearthome City alongside his parents and three younger sisters. His two moms were both retired coordinators, leaving the life of glitz and glam for a much more relaxed life working as regular office workers. Throughout his childhood Kei spent his time at school, taking care of his siblings, and daydreaming about the day he’d get to leave home and explore the region. However before his dreams would fully manifest into becoming the champion, Kei had actually been planning to become a coordinator just like his parents, however that would soon change on the eve of his tenth birthday.
Cynthia, the region’s previous champion, had visited Hearthome city for the day, touring the area and getting to know the locals. She’d eventually stumble upon Kei messing around with a soccer ball, to which she’d offer to play a quick match with her. Absolutely astonished, Kei agreed, playing a quick game against her to which he’d surprisingly win. As his prize, Cynthia would pose with him for a photo, signing it, and departed, leaving him with encouragement to strive for whatever path called to him. After that encounter Kei quickly switched his goals to becoming a trainer, hoping to one day become a champion just like Cynthia. However it’d take four years after that encounter for him to finally take that first step towards a new adventure. Once the time finally came, his parents would gift him a Bonsly and sent him off into the wild. He’d spend a week or two exploring the Sinnoh region for all that it had to offer. However before he could even get his second badge Kei found himself transported back in time to when Sinnoh was called the land of Hisui. Now he was no other choice but to adapt to these new circumstances, hoping that one day he may return back to his original time to finally fulfill his dreams.

Personality: Quiet, reserved, and soft spoken, Athena finds joy living along Pokemon as her friends. As a result, she finds the idea of battling quite troubling– she can’t imagine why people would want to put the beautiful creatures she so loves in immediate danger for the sake of sport. She loves to take care of any Pokemon she finds hurt or damaged, finding it difficult to be a bystander among a world that has normalized battling in nearly every aspect of their lives. However, her sense of care and adoration for Pokemon tends to get the best of her, as she’ll put herself in harm's way to save even the smallest hurt Starley in the wild, valuing the lives of Pokemon much more than that of her own. Athena is skilled at healing and taking care of wounded Pokemon, spending much of her childhood healing her siblings’ Pokemon with potions and volunteering at local Pokemon Centers. To brace for the freezing temperatures of Sinnoh’s northernmost region, Athena was given a Ponyta for her fourth birthday. The two grew extraordinarily close with each other– Ponyta would keep her warm on the coldest nights, and in turn, Athena would feed Ponyta the vegetables that she so hated eating, but that Ponyta had no problem taking off her plate at a moment’s notice. When she turned 8, her brothers, twins aged 12, began training with their pokemon by battling, their hearts set on Oreburgh City. She remembers the cries of the Bidoofs as they restlessly tackled and clawed at each other at the commands of her siblings, begging them to stop. She couldn’t imagine why anyone would force their Pokemon to battle, seeing how close she and her Ponyta had gotten. Eventually, she grew used to the constant battling that would take place loudly in their backyard. She decided instead of unsuccessfully shouting for them to stop, that she would go to the Poke Mart and stock up on potions in order to heal their wounds. This became Athena’s new way of coping with the battling she had become all too familiar with. At age 12, she decided to begin volunteering at the Pokemon Center, deciding to aspire to be a nurse in order to better take care of the Pokemon around her. However, this resolution to take care of all Pokemon sometimes went too far for Athena. Twice she’d fallen off of trees to save injured Starley’s and more times than one could count on their hands had she fallen into Acuity Lakefront chasing after a wounded Snover that didn’t want to be helped. Luckily Ponyta was always there to warm her up from the frost that covered her body during her missions to save wounded pokemon. This was a common week in the life of Athena– volunteer at the Pokemon Center, heal her trainer-to-be brothers’ Pokemon, and secretly sneak out of the house to find other Pokemon that were in need of help, though her parents weren’t too fond of that last one. Until one night, Athena wandered out of her quiet house in the middle of a peaceful night-- peaceful, yet with a darkened and cloud riddled sky. Ponyta, of course, lit the way and melted the snow before her. In the distance, she spotted a Pokemon unfamiliar to her, obscured by mist, which faintly glowed. It roared an unfamiliar cry, and Athena was admittedly curious to find what it was. As she traveled closer and closer, a snowstorm brewed out of nowhere. It got darker, the storm was loud and harsh, and suddenly, everything went… Gray? After a moment she awoke in Hisui, with her Ponyta suddenly evolved into a Rapidash for seemingly no explainable reason. The Pokemon in the unfamiliar region were hostile, violent, but instead of fighting it, Athena decided to run and hide in a nearby abandoned hut. In such a hostile region, Athena wonders how she’ll ever be able to survive by staying close to her pacifistic morals.

Healing: Athena’s experience at the Pokemon Center has taught her a thing or two about healing Pokemon back up to full health

Fashion: Athena was a fan of the Pokemon Contests she would watch on TV broadcast from Hearthrone City. As a result, she found a small hobby of sewing outfits for herself and her brothers’ Pokemon (it wouldn’t work that well for Ponyta since he’d easily burn it off)
Handywork: Athena is pretty good at fixing things up when she has the tools for it. Her parents were often busy at work and her brothers were busy battling, so when the snow would break through the roof, or a window would shatter from her brothers’ intense battles, Athena had to be the one to fix it. It’s proven to have its uses from time to time.

Feel free to use a description or a picture so long as it's not a real photo): Athena closely resembles Lillie from Pokemon Sun in terms of hairstyle, however, she has blue eyes instead of green. She wears a long and thick fluffy coat that goes down to her shins with fuzzy boots and a beanie to compensate for the cold back in Snowpoint City. She’s always seen with her messenger bag to her side. She has a soft face with a constantly muted and aloof expression. Although she’s quite friendly, her cold expression and intense gaze sometimes can lead people to believe she’s upset about something.

Other (optional) (anything else I should know?): Although it appears as Athena is useless in the realm of battle, I sort of designed her in a way where she’s ripe for character development. Hisui is a harsh and unforgiving region where the Pokemon she adores are probably out to attack her, so she’ll have to learn to cope with this and perhaps change the morals she once held deeply close for her (or at least reevaluate them).

When she turned 8, her brothers, twins aged 12, began training with their pokemon by battling, their hearts set on Oreburgh City. She remembers the cries of the Bidoofs as they restlessly tackled and clawed at each other at the commands of her siblings, begging them to stop. She couldn’t imagine why anyone would force their Pokemon to battle, seeing how close she and her Ponyta had gotten. Eventually, she grew used to the constant battling that would take place loudly in their backyard. She decided instead of unsuccessfully shouting for them to stop, that she would go to the Poke Mart and stock up on potions in order to heal their wounds. This became Athena’s new way of coping with the battling she had become all too familiar with. At age 12, she decided to begin volunteering at the Pokemon Center, deciding to aspire to be a nurse in order to better take care of the Pokemon around her. However, this resolution to take care of all Pokemon sometimes went too far for Athena. Twice she’d fallen off of trees to save injured Starley’s and more times than one could count on their hands had she fallen into Acuity Lakefront chasing after a wounded Snover that didn’t want to be helped. Luckily Ponyta was always there to warm her up from the frost that covered her body during her missions to save wounded pokemon. This was a common week in the life of Athena– volunteer at the Pokemon Center, heal her trainer-to-be brothers’ Pokemon, and secretly sneak out of the house to find other Pokemon that were in need of help, though her parents weren’t too fond of that last one. Until one night, Athena wandered out of her quiet house in the middle of a peaceful night-- peaceful, yet with a darkened and cloud riddled sky. Ponyta, of course, lit the way and melted the snow before her. In the distance, she spotted a Pokemon unfamiliar to her, obscured by mist, which faintly glowed. It roared an unfamiliar cry, and Athena was admittedly curious to find what it was. As she traveled closer and closer, a snowstorm brewed out of nowhere. It got darker, the storm was loud and harsh, and suddenly, everything went… Gray? After a moment she awoke in Hisui, with her Ponyta suddenly evolved into a Rapidash for seemingly no explainable reason. The Pokemon in the unfamiliar region were hostile, violent, but instead of fighting it, Athena decided to run and hide in a nearby abandoned hut. In such a hostile region, Athena wonders how she’ll ever be able to survive by staying close to her pacifistic morals.

Handywork: Athena is pretty good at fixing things up when she has the tools for it. Her parents were often busy at work and her brothers were busy battling, so when the snow would break through the roof, or a window would shatter from her brothers’ intense battles, Athena had to be the one to fix it. It’s proven to have its uses from time to time.
Appearance (what does your character look like? Feel free to use a description or a picture so long as it's not a real photo): Athena closely resembles Lillie from Pokemon Sun in terms of hairstyle, however, she has blue eyes instead of green. She wears a long and thick fluffy coat that goes down to her shins with fuzzy boots and a beanie to compensate for the cold back in Snowpoint City. She’s always seen with her messenger bag to her side. She has a soft face with a constantly muted and aloof expression. Although she’s quite friendly, her cold expression and intense gaze sometimes can lead people to believe she’s upset about something.

Hisui is a harsh and unforgiving region where the Pokemon she adores are probably out to attack her, so she’ll have to learn to cope with this and perhaps change the morals she once held deeply close for her (or at least reevaluate them).

Devastated by her loss, Zeke's mother decided it was time to leave the otherwise quiet Town behind, the two setting out on a whirlwind adventure of traveling and exploring, something she had always wanted to do. One such adventure took them to the port city of Porta Vista in Kanto, where another disaster would strike. While out surfing, Zeke found himself on the wrong end of a wild Gyarados' Bite attack, an attack that would leave Zeke permanently scarred from his lower left abdomen to his upper right bicep.
Wrapped up in the Gyarados' massive form and struggling in vain, Zeke quickly realized that he was about to die. He was just a human, and this was a pokemon known for its strength. Just as he was about to give up all hope the sensation of freezing cold came over him, Zeke figuring this is what it was like to die. To his surprise he awoke a few days later, battered and bruised but alive nonetheless, in the Porta Vista Hospital. After a lot of crying and painful hugs, his mother finally calmed down enough to tell him the story of what happened: A wild Wartortle had intervened on his behalf, blasting the Gyarados with an Ice Beam attack and causing it to let him go. A couple trainers had tried to capture the Gyarados but failed, but in the confusion did manage to catch the Wartortle by complete accident.
Zeke begged to thank the Wartortle in person, the trainer admitting that he once he realized he had missed the Gyarados and instead hit the Wartortle he had released it back to the wild, but then grinned. “At least, I tried to.” the man told Zeke before the Wartortle in question came in to the room. After even more tears and what felt like a hundred thank yous, Zeke finally worked up the courage to ask the Wartortle if he wanted to come with him. The Wartortle agreed, and after another week in the hospital he was discharged in to his mother's care. Getting around proved to be more challenging for the first few weeks after his release, but Zeke pushed way through the pain and eventually able to regain total mobility in his upper body. Ever since the attack Zeke always makes sure to have a few poke-balls on her person at all times, if for nothing else to get out of situations like that.
Several years later while in the Lush Jungle of Akala Island Zeke would have the chance to pay his Wartortle's good will forward when he rescued an injured Caterpie from a flock of descending Pidgey. He recognized the situation the Caterpie had been in and decided to intervene. Thankfully the scars the Caterpie obtained calloused over when it evolved in to Metapod, and fell away with the shed shell when it evolved again in to Butterfree. When Zeke was 16 he and his mother finally settled in Dahara City, Kalos, where he began studying more about the culinary world. It was here where he lived until he was sent back in to the region of Hisui.

Personality: Most people who only know her as her image would describe her as, "A cute girl with a kind soul." But those who unfortunately had to work with her knows a different side to her. She's actually arrogant and quite difficult to work with, while she gives everyone she knows a nickname; that they probably didn't ever want. Though, she can easily be swayed with sweets. She also adores all pokemon, especially her Eevee. Though she heavily dislikes battles.
History: Once, a girl was born into the city of dreams. And so, that girl also had a dream that reached further than the restraints of this world. The young child dreamt and dreamt of dreams that she could take beyond the bounds of the earth. But the more she tried, the less she dreamed and the more awake she felt. She limited herself to something else, what if she brought her dreams to this world? Something magical, something that made everyone happy.
The girl wanted to make a place for people and pokemon to live in harmony, where no one has to get hurt. A dream this bright and dazzling was just too much to keep to herself. So the girl shared this dream with many, and then many shared to more, until many more eyes were upon this dream. "That sounds stupid" One person said. "Why would anyone waste their time like that" another person said. So what did the girl do? She locked the dream behind a thousand walls, each with their own expression.
Once she was almost able to share this dream to the world, once she was almost able to break all her walls. She awoke somewhere else. Some when she didn't know. And as such, her once upon a time began, as the girl thought maybe she could re-realize her dream.
History: Once, a girl was born into the city of dreams. And so, that girl also had a dream that reached further than the restraints of this world. The young child dreamt and dreamt of dreams that she could take beyond the bounds of the earth. But the more she tried, the less she dreamed and the more awake she felt. She limited herself to something else, what if she brought her dreams to this world? Something magical, something that made everyone happy.
The girl wanted to make a place for people and pokemon to live in harmony, where no one has to get hurt. A dream this bright and dazzling was just too much to keep to herself. So the girl shared this dream with many, and then many shared to more, until many more eyes were upon this dream. "That sounds stupid" One person said. "Why would anyone waste their time like that" another person said. So what did the girl do? She locked the dream behind a thousand walls, each with their own expression.
Once she was almost able to share this dream to the world, once she was almost able to break all her walls. She awoke somewhere else. Some when she didn't know. And as such, her once upon a time began, as the girl thought maybe she could re-realize her dream.
