My Interest Check
There are heroes. Beacons of hope in a hopeless world. They are hardly the first heroes. But they are heroes nonetheless. They fight the foes the cops can't take. They crack the cases the detectives can't crack. If they could work together you could do amazing things. Unfortunately many of them prefer to work alone. Not out of a sense of pride or ego but out of protection. Heroes protect people by pushing them away. Even other heroes. It's been like this for decades. Until now! You are here's who are willing to work together, have to work together in fact, To fight the foes that not even heroes alone can take. You are heroes!

GM commentary.

Welcome to this roleplay. It's a superhero roleplay. You probably guessed that already. Anyway this is a roleplay about a group of heroes who become the first superhero team ever. This is actually a little beyond a roleplay. It is an attempt to create an entire superhero mythos with a roleplay. Or part of one anyways.

Hero Appearance:
9c05d2787b3175f5e88fba4b7ddcfa32.jpg
Civilian appearance:
idris-elba-luther_3512082b.jpg

Personality: Marcus is a very serious man and finds it hard to take a joke. This makes it difficult for him to make friends. He is a calm man and almost never gets angry, but if you do get him angry you most likely did something purely evil and will die for it.

History: Since Marcus can remember he has had a gun in his hand. At a young age, his father taught him how to handle, take care of, and shoot. His father took him to gun ranges and when he was old enough he went on long hunting trips with his father around the world. Around the age of 14, he discovered his ability to teleport and thought he was a freak and tried to use it as little as possible and to forget about it. With all of the intensive training by the age of 16, it was becoming a fact to both him and his father that between the two of them Marcus was now the better shot. Through most of his life, his father also took him to learn to fight at a dojo his buddy ran. Soon he became skilled with swords. Once he turned 18 Marcus joined the Marines and in his unit became top gunner for a long time. After 10 years in the military, he left and went on to live a normal life with a wife and child. That normal life didn't last long when his family was taken and held for ransom. He wasn't going to pay them and ended up finding the men who took his family and killed them but not before they killed his wife and daughter in front of him. When this happened his emotions erupted and he teleported for the first time in years. He became a vigilante to make sure no one else has to feel what he did that night. And he's been doing it for 11 years now.

Hero name:
Zephyr - after the Greek god of the west wind

Civilian identity:
Blair Heylia

Gender:
Female

Age
:
22

Eye color
:
Blue

Hair color
:
Black

Powers:
Ability to control the wind/ air/ gaseous substances, including air quality (controlling gaseous particles in the air to make it more dry, hot, cool, or making certain areas more humid). She can kinda fly by using the wing to pick her up and move her around

Weaknesses
:
Doesn't work so well in confined air spaces with little air flow. Picking things up can be pretty dangerous too. Her control becomes weaker the less control she has over her emotions - particularly anger, fear, and sadness

Skills and abilities:
Ability to shoot a bow, proficiency with a javelin, and aerial acrobatics

Weapons:
Bow and arrows, a javelin (both for melee and ranged combat)

Equipment:
Her uniform wing-suit, her mask, her bow and quiver with 15 arrows, her javelin, and the traps

Other items:
She keeps traps in pockets on the suit, including: a 4 in. knife, sand, burrs, and she wears a bracelet made out of paracord

Hero Appearance:
tumblr_nutwptNVs21ro0n55o4_500.png

She wears this wingsuit to help keep her aloft in the air as she floats or glides, and makes the rest of it a nice material that allows her free-movement. Add on a half mask to cover everything on her face, from the nose up. The mask is equipped with goggles over the eyes to protect her from the wind

Civilian appearance:
e4bf5a769c462c2d829f18c8021b3799.jpg

Blair is a petite woman with pretty, but generally plain features that wouldn't particularly help her stand out in a crowd - except for her eyes if you were attracted to how blue they are. She keeps her hair short and messy, so if she's called for duty, and returns, she doesn't have to explain why she looks like a mess. She maintains a fit physique, but her shoulders, arms, and core are the most impressive part of her because she needs to keep them held up straight and high if she wants to stay in mid-air.

Personality:
Blair has a go-with-the-flow attitude, and she tries not to let things bug her - if they do her abilities become more chaotic. Just because she doesn't let things bug her, doesn't mean she won't stand up for herself and others. She's incredibly brave, and chooses to stand up for the little guy, because that's what she was raised to do, and she's always ready to go up against people who have a head on her. She got a sharp tongue though, and quick wit, ready to think on the spot to get the job done. She would prefer to work smart, and not hard, even if it means taking things on at a distance

History:
Blair was born in Small Town, USA to a loving mother and father. Throughout her young life, they noticed strange happenings with her - rustling of papers in the class if she got upset, the cabinets shaking and slamming if she were afraid, and the wind would whip if she got mad at a friend. It was only after she was 10 that they really realized that she had the power to control the wind, and they helped her control it, even though they have no idea how she gained this ability. From there, they helped her with meditation practices, took her to counseling to help with her anger, and tried to make her as relaxed as possible so her emotions wouldn't get the better of her. By the time she was 18, she had a perfect handle on her emotions and an incredible talent for using her ability. After she tried skydiving at 19, she had the idea to try flying, and she taught herself to pick herself off the ground by having the wind catch her clothing. Outside of using her talents, she goes to college part-time, and works odd jobs like tutoring and babysitting

Hero Appearance (a picture is fine if that's your thing):

3f24b6185ed085fdc19b960e7ac5d3d8.jpg

Civilian appearance (or a picture if that's your thing):

donald-glover-2016-rec.jpg

Personality:
He is a very relaxed person who is also firm in what he believes is right. He usually doesn't like to stop relaxing when he is and even while working he is very calm in his movements and tries to enjoy playing with the criminal most of the time. However if he deems it necessary he can get very serious. Because of this he doesn't always get along with other heroes as his slightly sadistic personality can be off putting to those around him. He is not a "people person"

History:
When he was younger he dreamed of being a super hero and fighting crime just like some of his role models. He trained a lot, worked hard, and eventually succeeded in achieving his dreams. Sadly he soon realized how much work it would actually be. He started off doing what he knew everyone else was doing, finding the criminal, catching the criminal, then handing him over to the police and soon found that this was no fun for him which was part of the reason he wanted to do the job in the first place. Then he thought to himself "What if I didn't do what everyone did? What if I did what I wanted to do? What if... I had fun?" Then began his known reputation as he now was known for what he would do to criminals. You see he would catch the criminals, but then... he would torture them. He would sever their limbs, crush their internal organs, and things even more terrifying. However on they wouldn't die. He would make sure of it, as he would target the spots that while could kill you, it would be such a slow and painful death that there would be time to save them and he would more than likely just throw them in the middle of the street either by a police station, a hospital, or even the middle of the road depending on how much he cared. But despite all this it wasn't seen as cruel to him instead it was... fun. And that is what he wanted after all. He wanted to save people and be the hero, but have fun at the same time, but this is him on the battlefield. When he isn't doing this he can be found in his room sleeping or watching tv or working his job as an stay at home accountant for several clients he has on his computer laptop. However he enjoys having his privacy so because of this none of the people he works for have ever seen his face.

BackSet BackSet

Hero name: Convector
civilian identity: ???
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Eye color: Red
Hair color: White

Powers: Velocity Manipulation - As long as Convector is touching an object, he can manipulate the velocity of said object, using it as a projectile and such. He can also manipulate the velocity of the air itself, using it in a form of attack and movement. He can also enhance his own speed to move much faster than others. Finally, he can reverse the velocity of objects hitting him such as arrows and bullets (directly of course) and deflect them with minimal effort.
Weaknesses:
-Not very strong, he's unable to gain much muscle mass because of his powers
-Doesn't have much knowledge in hand to hand
-His power requires concentration and derivation of universal laws to function, meaning he can't use it if there's a slight change in the velocity of an object (e.g. If the object is being manipulated)
-Psychics can block his power altogether since his power is mind based
Skills and abilities (this anyone can learn without powers):
-High speed reaction times
-Acrobatic
-Skilled with firearms
-Intelligence

Weapons:
9mm pistol
Equipment:
Electrodes on his body to conduct electricity away from his heart
Other items:

Hero Appearance:
cd59dce6279d6fcdf2c9ede2bd7f1183--anime-characters-anime-boys-hot-vampire.jpg

Civilian appearance: ???

Personality: Convector is normally an angry guy who doesn't care much for things coming his way. Initially someone who was very self centered, he doesn't find a need to help other heroes or competent persons with their ailments. However, on the field of battle he becomes a different person altogether. He gains a smile that breaks all barriers of his former self and interest peaks, making him put in 110% of his effort into the fight just to prove his worth.
History: Convector has long since forgotten his real name. He remembers it being an ordinary name but the involvement with others such as his caretakers made him forget it through many hours of rigorous practice of his abilities and mental training. He then learned how to use guns. That was a bit of a weird story judging by how someone with his powers likely wouldn't need one. But it happened and he learned to shoot just like any other. Upon leaving this in ordinary caretakers, Convector took on a new name which is also the namesake of his alias, and ventured out to become a hero for the commoners.

BackSet BackSet

Hero name: X-Metal
civilian identity: Jacob Jackison
Gender: male
Age: 20
Eye color: gray
Hair color: blonde

Powers: jet boots, laser pulses, night vision, thermal vision, enhanced strength and agility, enhanced durability.
Weaknesses: like all human beings he can succumb to disease and severe injury
Skills and abilities (this anyone can learn without powers): high intelligence and analysis skills.

Weapons: none
Equipment: none
Other items: none

Hero Appearance (a picture is fine if that's your thing): in his hero persona Jacob has Caucasian skin which is constant throughout his appearances. He has blue and silver body armor with intersecting plates. Over his right eye is a yellow eyepiece akin to a scooter from dragon ball.
Civilian appearance (or a picture if that's your thing): he usually wears a blue flannel shirt over a gray t shirt and black jeans with brown boots.

Personality: Jacob is rather upbeat. He likes to make puns and witty banter. This probably comes from reading too many superhero comic books. His approach to life is that if it doesn't kill him then he probably made the right choice in doing it. And even if it does kill him he might still have made the right choice. Jacob enjoys having friends and is rather friendly. It takes a lot to get him upset or mad but he really doesn't like jerks and bullies.
History: Jacob was born and raised in centurion city. He grew up watching heroes and villains duke it out. From an early age he showed above average intelligence and eventually got a scholarship to centurion university. During his first semester at college he took a job as an intern at Education Corp. He ended up being subjected to an experiment known as project X. The experiment was designed to create super soldiers for the corporation so it could take over the world. Unfortunately they couldn't control Jacob so he went rogue and destroyed the lab. Taking the moniker of X-metal, Jacob desired to use his newly acquired powers for good.

I approve my own character.

Hero name: Apex
civilian identity: Kevin Marshall
Gender: Male
Age:21
Eye color: Dark Brown
Hair color: Brown

Powers: Animal Mimicry. Apex can take on traits from any animal (excluding arthropods). This means he can grow gills, claws, and even a shell. Regardless of what form he takes he is stronger, faster, more agile, and has more stamina than a normal person. His senses are also greatly enhanced.
Weaknesses: Changing your body is very energy demanding. It is also a slow process. So while he can create something like a turtle shell, he usually doesn't due to the amount of time it takes. To counter the energy consumption he has extra high energy bites. He also has to come into contact with an animal to use it's skills (unless it was in the original treatment). He also (usually) is no less susceptible physical harm than a normal human.
Skills and abilities (this anyone can learn without powers): He is very intelligent and observant. He is proficient in martial arts as well.

Weapons:
1.jpg
They can also be combined to form a short staff
Apex will also frequently use claws
Equipment: None

Civilian appearance (or a picture if that's your thing):
a12e299a1a53cc8cff62683d7972a9eb--manga-boy-manga-anime.jpg

Personality: Kevin is friendly and open. He isn't a social butterfly, but is certainly not shy. He has an innate desire to help others in any way he can, though refuses to do work for others. If he can teach them how to help themselves he will. While taking on the persona of Apex his demeanor changes to be more serious, but will still attempt to crack a few jokes. He is also no stranger to sarcasm.
History: Kevin was born with a rare and incurable disease. Both of his parents were leaders in the field of genetics and committed themselves to finding him a cure. They found encouraging results in various animals and used their DNA in their tests. When Kevin was 9 years old his condition worsened and his parents pushed past many safety protocols, moving directly to human experimentation. This destabilized his own genetic code and was the beginning of his powers. Over the years he collected more and more animal DNA to use for himself. He even designed his own suit to work around his changing body. He graduated college with a biology degree and is contemplating graduate school.

Expel
Jackson "Jax" Alexander Boyce
Male
19
Brown Hair, Brown Eyes
FC: Ryan Potter

  • Jax has the ability to control electricity, and uses metals at the best of his ability. He can't control metals himself, however, they simply conduct his ability for quicker travel.

Water, however, can wipe out his energy at times, as well as materials such as wool. Without sunlight, he can begin to lack energy after a while.

Jax grew up in a rough neighborhood, a place where it was better to know how to fight than anything else. It was something that led his father to teach him how to box, something he would grow to use even more when he needed to release anger.

Jax also uses a metal staff.

Hero name: Paladin
Civilian identity: Gregory Williams
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Eye color: Green
Hair color: Auburn

Powers: Superhuman strength and superhuman durability

Weaknesses: Although he doesn't look like it, Greg is extremely dense leading him to have little to no buoyancy. This makes it very difficult for him to fight in water– even treading it is a tremendous struggle and he'll ultimately sink. He's not invulnerable and can only take so much damage before it finally takes an effect. At best, the will only be stunned by damage that would usually kill ordinary people. Also, due to what he decides to wear, he is not very dexterous or precise when he has his armor on. This and his peripheral vision is heavily effected by his helmet.

Skills and abilities : He can think quick on his feet, has basic knowledge of computers, and isn't too bad at punching or grappling things.

Weapons: A large and heavy longsword. Although he never uses it on people. It's mainly used as a tool to get into harder to access areas and such as he could very well cleave a person in two with it.

Equipment: A suit of armor and large tower shield crafted from an unknown metallic material that add to his durability.

Other items:

Hero Appearance:
1350685853611.jpg
Civilian appearance:
640-05761050en_Masterfile.jpg

Personality: Greg is a very courteous and well kept young man. He wouldn't really consider himself a risk taker, unless it was a truly dire situation. Not an ambitious person. He's just fine with where he is and has no real desire to further himself. He's not a very curious person and prefers to not go snooping around or investigating things. After all, curiosity killed the cat. He's fairly good at controlling his emotions, although he does have an outburst every now and again. While he may not look like it, he is a very nurturing and caring person. Willing to help anyone in need no matter the ask to the best of his ability. He's trusting, honest, and altruistic although rarely loyal to any one person. Preferring to hang round by himself as most in his line of work do.

History:
On June 23, Murphy Williams held the hand of his wife, Jessica, as she gave birth to a record breaking twenty seven pound baby. The doctors involved, astounded by the weight of the baby, noted that the infant didn’t look much bigger than your average ten pound baby. Deciding that there was probably just some sort of strange anomaly but though nothing much of it. The next day, the two took their newborn son home and raised him as one would with a normal child. Although, they were still perplexed by his weight as it just progressively got larger the older he got.

When he went to go get an annual check up, the doctors noticed that young Gregory weighed almost five times what he was supposed to weigh at his age. Thinking it was just a fault in the machine and thought nothing of it. His parents knew the truth though. They knew something was wrong with their child, but they weren’t sure exactly what it was. Figuring they could put it off until a later date, they ignored it. After all it didn’t have any adverse effects on him or his personal life. However, it wasn’t long until tragedy were to strike.

When he was only 10, a tornado hit his hometown, Wakefield, while he was at elementary school. While he and everyone else around him were rushing around trying to get next to a wall and into the position, the roof collapsed right on top of him. Instead of him and everyone around him being horribly crushed to death, there Greg stood, in the middle of the room, with the huge slab of stone on his shoulders.

The authorities and everyone involved thought it would be best to not draw attention to or mention what had happened to protect Greg and his family. So the media just chalked it up to some sort of miracle. After the incident, his family decided to move far away to Centurion City to avoid any future conflict. It was here where spent the rest time growing up without incident. Sure someone from here or there would talk about it, but they knew better than to say anything about it online or to the media. After all, who would believe them?

It wasn’t long after graduation, however, that Greg found a growing need to help and protect people. With a rise in crime, he felt that he had to put his particular talents to good use otherwise they’d be wasted. So one day during the summer he got with two of his closest friends, Missy and Alan, and disclosed his deepest secret to them. Naturally, they didn’t believe him, but after some demonstrations, they accepted that fact that their friend had extraordinary talents.

Together, the three started work on a costume. With the help of Missy, an avid cosplay fanatic and Alan, a metalworker’s apprentice, they constructed his Suit. It was a large suit of armor akin to those you’d see in your average fantasy video game, crafted out of a strange metallic substance that was brought to the shop Alan was working at the time. It was an extremely strong and durable, yet fairly easy to shape at first. Next came the sword and the shield, crafted out of the same substance. All of this, of course was off the record.

Now, Greg spends his days going to college in the mornings and a part time job at night. Although, when duty calls, he’ll find a way to excuse himself and answer to justice.

Jacob was running fast. Not beacause something was after him but beacause he was late for class. Professor Meyers (generic name I know) was gonna kill him! He barely skidded to a stop in front of the door and peeked in. Meyers wasn't there. Jacob wiped his brow in relief. He'd faced a dozen or so super villains but his teachers still scared him more.

Jacob quickly edged over to his seat. It was in the back like all his other classes. It was unlike Professor Meyers to be late. He was usually quite precise with his timing. Lateness for Jacob, on the other hand, was not unusual at all. Jacob often slept in beacause he had been busy patrolling the night before. Jacob was a superhero you see. He battled evil to make sure the world was safe. He was kind of disappointed he hadn't met any superheroes yet.

Jacobs reason for lateness this time was beacause he had stopped a robbery on the corner of Grant and Jansen. It wasn't that hard to break up. Just a couple of non-powered thugs who thought it was a good idea to rob a store in a city famous for superheroes. Jacob leaned back in his chair. Content to wait until Professor Meyers got there.

It was late afternoon yet Jamal had still not filed 4 people into the system of people that haven't paid their rent at Morgan Properties. "Well I guess I should start actual work now." So he turned to the television and laughed at Cartman for getting beat up by Wendy on South park and reached to grab the remote so he could turn it off. Once he did that he grabbed his dirty bowl filled with little remains of scattered ramen noodles stuck to the side looking as yellow as ever. He then also grabbed his last plastic fork in sadness at the realization that he would have to go out to the store now to pick up more later and proceeded to the small kitchen.

Once there he placed it in the dish washer filled with dirty unwashed dishes, opened a cabinet and pulled out cascade platinum, placed it inside the dish washer and started it. He then walked over to the table and grabbed the packaged seasoning he left behind like he always does and threw it away in the trash while noticing the time on the oven above him. Huh I guess it isn't that late it's only about 5:06 p.m.
"I guess I have time to run to the store to pick up some more food and forks. If I was a few hours late on my report a few more minutes wouldn't matter." So with that he grabbed a small alcohol canister that he strangely filled with water instead, his coat which was placed on the floor by the oven, went back inside the living room to gather his phone and earbuds along with his metal suit which he wore under his regular clothes and headed out.

(Kinda forgot to post it)

ooc; i think i'll make Blair join a different class with your characters

Blair was sitting on a park bench, gently bouncing a young blonde toddler named Thomas on her leg. As she sat there she kept gently blowing out of her mouth, causing a gently breeze to cool them down in the warmth of the sun, and she payed close attention to what his sister Mary was doing on the playground in front of her. She was currently babysitting, which was one of the odd jobs she did for an income.

In her off hours, she was a superhero named Zephyr. Well, even at her little jobs and in her everyday life she still wore her wingsuit underneath her clothes. Of course it got a little hot after a while, but it was useful if she ever needed to jump into action. Just today, for exampe, when she was patrolling the streets, she helped stop a mugging and potential car-jacking. It was easy work, but it helped keep her on her toes for when there were other superhumans that weren't exactly on the right side of good and evil. Well, maybe not totally evil, but they sure wished harm on others. Even now, she kept a sharp eye out for suspicious folks - and suspicious folks around a playground weren't exactly the good type of people...

Kevin, as per usual, made it to Professor Meyers's class ahead of time, though not by much. He'd stayed up until almost until sunrise the night prior patrolling the streets. Sure, Apex wasn't the biggest name around but he didn't care much. He was helping out and that's all that mattered. Well, he was helping out and maintaining his grades. Still, he felt the need to help out whenever he could. For example, on his way to campus today he saw a skirmish between a few gang members. He slipped on the rest of his suit and intervened. He wrapped it up quickly and notified the police and continued on his way. He now had to jog to make it on time, but that wasn't much of a problem with his stamina. To save some time he cut through a park. he always enjoyed watching the children having fun, but he couldn't stop to enjoy the moment. After another ten or so minutes of jogging he arrived in Professor Meyers's class, who surprisingly wasn't here yet. He took his seat near, but not at, the back. Soon another entered the room. He turned to see if it was Professor Meyers. Nope. Instead it was the guy who seemed perpetually late. He never bothered to learn his name. Shrugging his shoulders, he turned back to the front and continued waiting. Already people were talking about the "ten minutes and they can leave" rule.

Marcus woke up late as usual luckily he didn't have anywhere to go anytime soon. Well, he needed to get to work soon but he was his own boss so whats the rush. "Patrolling isn't as fun as it use to be." He thinks to himself. after about a half hour of just laying done he finally gets up and goes to take a shower. After the shower, he puts on his work close and heads to his back yard. Marcus was a blacksmith. Blacksmithing wasn't much of a popular thing nowadays thanks to machines but this made sure he made good money on what things he made. At the moment he is working on a shield and two twin swords some rich guy wants to make his living room look cooler. This worked out cause it was a very simple and cheap job with an extremely high payout. Through out working Marcus had a police scanner in the background so to listen for any activity.

"Slow afternoon," Marcus says to no one. He was starting to get thirsty. he looked through his window and say the fridge through it. Suddenly he teleported to the fridge opened it got out a beer and looked to his work station and teleported back. After a couple of hours, he finally finished the commission for the rich guy. Marcus teleported into his house and grabbed the phone to call the guy. "Hey, it's done let me know when you can pick it up and once you pay me it's all yours. I hope it is to your liking."

(OOC: Bolded is spoken, Bolded and Italicized is thoughts.)

After waiting for what seemed to be hours, but was really closer to ten minutes, Professor Meyers arrived. "Sorry I'm late everyone!" He said. "I was in a staff meeting!" That's wierd. Jacob thought. If there was a staff meeting wouldn't the other teachers have been at it too. Granted, Jacob knew nothing about staff meetings but this did seem a bit fishy. Meyers was probably just making excuses for sleeping in or something like that. Professor Meyers pulled down a projection screen and fired up a projector. Why did he still use a projector. This was the 21st century. "Today we will be talking about [insert subject here beacause I know nothing about college]" He said. Everyone who Didn't have a huge brain groaned. And even some people who did have a huge brain groaned. Probably beacause they had read ahead and already knew about this subject.

Jackson Boyce was a typicallyhard worker, he always had something to do. He never walked around empty handed whether he had a textbook and school papers or a wrench and an oil can. On regular days, he went to school, maybe went to work, and then definitely kicked some supervillian behind. Or maybe not supervillian, but.. well, you get what I mean. Today though, Jax had slept in far too late. Something that came from all of the work and no breaks in between. The young man woke up at his desk, later than he should have. He had a bit of drool rolling down his chin, which he'd quickly wiped away with a groan as he stumbled from his seat. This wasn't the time, damn it. For any day to sleep in, why today?

Perhaps because the night before, he had fought off a jewelry store robbery. He'd slipped in behind the robbers, and happily knocked them out. But not after using his powers, a nice little taste of electricity to end the day. Not that they were dead, he made sure they were alive.. probably. Hopefully. But anyways, now he was grabbing his clothes and trying to change. He'd still been in the white, sleek suit he wore to hide his identity. When he went out, he simply wore jeans, sneakers, and a hoodie. There wasn't time for a shower, Jax had class.

The blue-eyed hero packed his bag and bolted. He ran as fast as he could, giving himself a prick of energy to make it, even if he would be late. He was dodging cars and people, not waiting for any walk lights to change and give him the righter way. Normally he'd take his bike, but after his last rendezvous it needed a fixed upper. So he left it back in his garage. Now that he was just on campus, Jax slowed down, huffing and puffing. When he finally got to his class, he stood up straight and glanced around at everyone. He didn't care for going in unnoticed, but attention wouldn't faze him. Naturally, he took a seat towards the back, but just enough to see the stupid projector.

Gregory sat somewhere in the middle rows of Professor Meyers' classroom. Everyone in the room was conversing with one another, taking note, or even sleeping. All except Gregory, for he was lost in the maze of his own mind, trying desperately to think of a solution. No, not for some silly homework question, but to something far more important, to him at least. Where the hell is he going to keep his suit? As of now, it was just standing there in a small shack in the middle of the woods just waiting for someone to stumble upon it.

He for sure couldn't keep it at his house as his parents would very well notice it and stop him from ever going out again. That, and the fact that he'd have to keep running back home, drawing more and more attention to himself, every time he had to suit up. And it's not like he could let his friends hold onto it as they'd be in the exact same boat. What he needed was safe secluded place that he could easily access whenever or where ever he may be. After all, it was far to large to wear under his clothes and if he just wore it everywhere it would defeat the whole purpose of having a secret identity in the first place.

He snapped out of his trance like state when Professor Meyers spoke up. He scrambled to grab out a notebook and pencil and started jotting down notes. All the while still thinking of the perfect place to make his "hideout."

"Yeah I will get it done by 7. Yes I know that I shouldn't pushed it off for so long. No I didn't know that you had to take time out of your day that you could be using to spend time with your daughter at her ninth birthday to tell me this. No this will not happen again. Goodbye." Jamal groaned as he rolled his eyes and hung up his phone after his employer had called about him not doing his work. After sitting on the bus for an hour he finally arrived at the nearest Walmart. He walked inside and had went straight to the food section gathering forks along with a pack of water bottles along steak, rice, bell peppers, onions, and some garlic. He had decided e had might as well make dinner for tomorrow so that he wouldn't have to do it then. After getting all the items he needed he purchase his groceries and left.

Jamal then pulled out his phone while pushing the cart past the and called for an Uber home since he had decided to not drive his car to Walmart which he was starting to regret. Once the man he had called pulled up he had placed everything in and had decided to go the rest of the way home in peace and put in his earbuds and decided to listen to music. After about 20 minutes the car suddenly stopped disturbing his relaxation. He looked up to see a man with a blue hockey mask over his face pointing a shot gun at the driver and a younger man with sunglasses and a hoodie on who looked to be in his late teens pointing a gun at him. Jamal was annoyed.
"Get out the damn car!", the older man who appeared to have a slight burn on his right hand screamed at the two men in the car. Jamal then took out the earbuds from his ear and asked with a slight smile on his face "Would you mind repeating what you just said please?" The older man got irritated and fired a warning shot in the air with his shotgun trying to signify that he knows how to use the gun.
"Get out the damn car now before I kill you both right here and now!" The driver hurried out the car and ran as fast as he could away from the ally way he drove into.

Jamal turned to the younger man and said with a sigh
"You know I don't even know why we are in the ally. Honestly it was stupid of-" he paused to look at his name on his phone and then turned back to the young man "Chris Emin to even drive through here. I mean I assume that this was suppose to be a short cut to my residence but I am not completely sure. I guess I will find out soon enough." Jamal quickly opened the door, behind the younger man, held him from behind by the neck, and pulled out his own gun and pointed at his head. Jamal looked at the older man with the shotgun and said "Put down your gun or I kill him." The young man now scared and shaking begged "Please let me go I don't wanna die! Please lets just talk about this peacefully!" and with that Jamal let him go pushing him away. He sat down tossed his gun to the side and said "Well okay if you wanna resolve this little situation peacefully lets solve it peacefully. Now you can put your gun down too and we can solve our differences." he said sounding genuine with an obvious smile on his face. "Haha you idiot you are gonna die now! You think we would actually do that? You really are stupid!" the older man said pointing his shot gun at him along with the younger man who seemed confused. "Any last words dumbass?" Jamal looked up for a minute and said "Well I can at least say I tried to be nice and it not be a lie." Then the two men tried pulling the trigger. "Why isn't this working?" the older man complained as he tried his hardest to pull the trigger along with his colleague to no luck. "Well that is unfortunate isn't it?" Jamal laughed as he knew what he was about to do. Jamal jumped up at the older man, grabbing him both hands by the arm and slamming him down by the hood of the car. He then turned and did a back flip towards the other man knocking the gun out his hands. He then threw the young one against the brick wall on a pipe possibly breaking his back. He walked to the young one then proceeded to repeatedly punch him in the stomach and then threw him through the front window of the car cutting the man and breaking the glass. He then got the gun he threw to the side and had pulled both men who couldn't move at the point out the car and onto the concrete ground. Jamal was loving it dearly, he was enjoying watching them him pain and had told them while laughing "This is probably the most fun I have had all day. You know it really sucks for you two, too. Why? Since you two dumbasses decided to attack me while I was in an Uber with my mask off I can't really let you leave this easy. You know what I look like, and I can't have that!" he knelt down to them both and asked "Now who's the idiot?" and shot the older man in twice, one bullet for each eye shot out. "Ahhhhhh! My eyes! I can't see! Help me!" He then went to the other boy who cried taking off his hood crying and yelling "Please don't hurt me! I am only 19 man! I never wanted to do any of this! I want to keep my eyes! Please!" He was in so much pain he couldn't even crawl away. "You sound like a bitch." Jamal told him before shooting out both of his eyes and some of the blood splattering.

He walked to the car and grabbed his groceries while noticing a couple documents stating that the man driving was a registered sex offender and rapist. Shocked he went to the front of the car which was badly damaged and noticed that the car didn't even have an Uber symbol. He was in surprised that he never noticed that, but let it go and moved on. He then realized that the driver was probably going to try to rape him which would explain why he was taken to the ally. With the groceries in hand he flew up and before he left he heard the sound of sirens approaching the ally where he was and had assumed someone called the police because of the initial gunshot the Mr.Hockey Mask shot as a warning. He then watched the police swarm in the ally finding the two wounded men on the ground and he walk away and the rooftops, and headed home.

Jacob fell asleep. It wasn't hard. Professor Meyers' classes were boring. If Jacob was lucky another crime would happen. Unfourtanetly he wasn't lucky. He just slept. He was very very tired.

Barbara groaned as she lazily lifted her head to look at her alarm clock. She swore under her breath, remembering that she broke her alarm clock yesterday. She sat up and looked around her bedroom. It was a mess. There were beer cans, articles of clothing, stale chips, and what looked like clumps of hair littered on the floor. She grumbled unintelligibly before getting dressed for the day.

She peeked out of her window. It was sometime in the afternoon, she guessed. Good. That meant she had plenty of time until she had to go to "work". If punching a few thugs and lobbing fireballs at people counted as work. She was quite good at her job but that didn't mean she had to like it all that much. "If only this damned city could keep itself safe for a whole day..."

Regardless, Barbara had decided to help keep the streets clean. She would just have to suck it up until Centurion City was as clean as a whistle. Well, "Nova" would have to suck it up. Barbara Jones is pretty much free to drink her problems away whenever the sun's up.

Blair looked up at the sky that was slowly turning darker, and she realized she needed to get the little kids home soon - their mother would be back from work soon enough and then she could go back to patrolling the streets. She called out to the little girl, "Mary! One last ride down the slide then we need to go, you mom will be home soon!" of course, Mary wasn't exactly the type of child that wanted to just leave the park. So, the child did go down the slide once, then twice, and again.

Blair had enough, she wasn't going to chase after the kid. She looked around to make sure nobody was focusing on her, then she held out a hand, and sent a hard breeze toward the little girl's back, pushing her closer and closer to Blair until she could grab the girl's hand, "Come on, you mother will want to see you." of course Mary pouted, but ultimately dragged her feet along when Blair began walking, still holding the small boy in her arms.

Marcus was relaxing in his living room when he looked out side a saw it was getting darker. "Well, it's about time to get ready for patrol." He hops off the couch and goes to his bedroom and puts on his hero suit grabbed his guns from his safe and pulled the swords off of his wall and put them in their sheaths. He walked out of his house and climbed a water tower close to his house from there he could see the city and then he was gone. He had teleported to downtown Centurion City and was walking through the alley ways trying to avoid being seen. "Time to get to work."

Kevin found it odd that Professor Meyers would be forced to attend a staff meeting that would force her to be late, but shrugged it off. Maybe it just ran extra late or something. He didn't have much time to dwell on the subject before turning his attention to the presentation and the open notebook in front of him. He didn't particularly care for this subject, but he needed this credit filled. Besides, not being motivated probably meant he'd have to work even harder to keep his grade up.

Selena sat in the back of the room, scanning her surroundings. During her time of patience she had made multiple conclusions but one stood out to her the most. The class was dull. The students around her was either catching up on sleep, in the midst of conversing what they would do if the ten minutes without the professor was achieved, or Preparing themselves for the notes that would awaiting them. Prof. Meyers wasn't present at the time; which appeared odd to the others and gracious gift from God to those who arrived late. Selena didn't draw much concern or gratitude towards the situation, All she cared about was his arrival. Well, at the time she wasn't Selena. Based on the student ID pick-pocketed and the illusion that covered her true appearance. Her name was Elise Fowler.

It wasn't long after that the Professor arrived, Made a quick excuse and began sliding the projector down to announce the subject. A project that no one seemed pleased with. She let the lesson go on for half an hour, giving the professor a sense of security while boring the hell out of his pupils. Finally, She raised her right hand to direct everyone back to her. "Professor Meyers, I have a question."

The man seemed content to see someone engaged in the subject at hand with a smile on his face, he replied. "Yes. What is your question?" Elise returned the gesture as a smirk was painted on her face. "Did you really think you could get away from me?"

Most of the students gave the look of confusion as they began to whisper amongst themselves. "I'm sure what you mean by that, Miss." Meyers gave out a nervous chuckle. "Now, Let's stop playing around and get back on the subject."

"Don't worry Meyers, I plan to keep myself in the curriculum." Elise rose from her seat and stood up on table, displaying herself for all to see. "From 1947 to 1956. America experienced the second red scare or the McCarthy era, A campaign spreading fear of influence on American institutions and of espionage by Soviet agents. The people started to claim Army officers, leaders and citizens of their political beliefs and of being communists. Because they knew that the enemy could be anyone. A friend, A neighbor...A professor. Ladies and gentlemen; I would like you to keep this qoute in your mind that was important in the 1900s and still reigns true today: 'Everything is not what it seems.'" With that said, Her disguise began to fade away, Revealing her magician costume. Her short blonde hair, shifted to long Raven hair. Her green eyes turned Amber. She placed her top hat on her head, her grin unwavering. "Today you will see many magic tricks that will ultimately lead to one goal." She unsheathed her cards and began to shuffle them with mastery, obviously showing off for her audience. "Making your professor disappear!" She threw four cards at Meyers, which he successfully dodged. Though, the cards seemed harmless. They were made of stainless steel and stuck to the wall like daggers.

Jackson had gone about his day as normal. Well, his day had barely started, but when he was in class he naturally kept quiet. When he took his seat, he dumped his things down on the table, a journal and pencil laid out in front of him. He had a specific one for every class, the best way to stay organized unlike having a single binder for each one. He'd taken his notes, not bothering to give his other classmates attention. He was one of the most un inviting people anyways, so it shouldn't have been a shock to anyone. Everything seemed normal, even when one of the girls in his class began talking. Jax allowed the words to register in his head, only finding them slightly off. However, when the sound of feet stepping up onto a table rang in his ears, he slowly lifted his head.

His blue eyes glanced around he room, pursing his lips further as his attention fell back onto the seat before him. Jax truly assumed the girl was simply crazy, going through something and throwing a scene in class. Or perhaps she was pursuing a job in acting and this was a joke that Professor Meyers was part of. But as soon as everything, every little detail, about her change, Jax's eyes widened. "What in the world.." He said under his breath, eyebrows knitting together before he slipped out of the room. Luckily his seat was near the door and nobody was even remotely looking his way. He bolted straight for the bathroom, all the while taking off his hoodie and pulling the white mask from his pocket.

This was his time, the right time. To do everything he'd wanted. Problem was, he didn't know what to do with his clothes. He supposed he'd just throw them in a corner and run back.

He hoped it didn't seem off at all as he stepped into the hallway, clenching his fists to give himself a boost of electricity. A jolt to wake up his suit, it gradually beginning to glow with white lights as it powered up. When Jax finally had his courage up, he ran back to his classroom, combing his fingers through his hair. "Did anybody ever tell you how wrong it is to stand on tables, lady?" Jax called out, standing just in front of the doorway.

Gregory was concentrating on trying to jot any notes he could down. It seemed like Professor Meyers was in a bit of a rush today and it was hard to keep up. It was then when some loud woman in the back of the room stopped class for whatever reason. He didn't care, it gave him time to catch up. However, as the girl kept going on and on, about communists of all things, that Greg felt that something wasn't quite right with them. "There's always one person..." He thought to himself. At least once a year, a person had a mental breakdown in the middle of class and made a scene. However, this wasn't your average mental breakdown. As he turned around to see the source of all the commotion, he saw the lady transform into someone else and begin assaulting the professor.

Of course... It was going to be one of those days, wasn't it? Why here? Why now? This was one of the only places he could get away from all that crap. Pinching the bridge of his nose he looked around trying to figure out what to do. A majority of the students were piling out of the room trying to get out of this crazy mess. Then it dawned on him, his suit was still in the middle of the freaking woods. Ugh what was he going to do? It's not like he could just sit there and do nothing, or could he? He shook that thought out of his head. No, he had to do something, otherwise, what kind of a hero was he? While he was still sitting at his desk, almost all the students had fled from the room already. It was then when some random costumed guy showed up and, of course, felt the need to say a witty line. They always did.

Using this distraction to his advantage, he decided to cut his losses and try something. He calmly rose up from his seat and ran to tackle the female before they had a chance to cause any more damage.

Well that was an odd turn of events. It wasn't every day he saw a classmate who was clearly loosing it turn into someone else entirely and then procide to attack the teacher with playing cards. While the situation wasn't ideal, it was still better than sitting through the rest of class. He quickly packed up his belongings and rushed out with most of the students. Instead of rushing outside, however, he turned away from the crowd and bolted into the stairwell. He knew no security cameras had been installed there. As quickly as he could he tore off his civilian cloths (not literally) and finished assembling his Apex outfit and popped an energy bite into his mouth.

Apex left his backpack behind, hoping it'd be safe, and burst back into the hallway. In no time he reached the door to the class and yanked it open. Just inside the door was a man dressed in a glowing white outfit and all of his hairs began to stand on end. None the less, he needed through. "S'cuse me," he said as he grabbed the mans shoulders and propelled himself up and over the guy. He took quick note of the room before landing. Most people were gone, one was tackling the black haired magician girl, and Professor Meyers we hiding behind her desk. He pulled out his escrima sticks when he landed and ran towards the assailant.

Jax's eyes widened as that.. what was his name? Well, that red headed kid was already taking down whatever that lady was. He supposed it was a mystery to be solved later. He'd been about to bolt towards Professor Myers when he felt something grab onto his shoulder and a blur go by him. A scowl tugged at his lips, though there wasn't much time to waste. He needed to act, and standing around was the absolute opposite of acting. His blue eyes were focused on the three fighting, and yet it only made the sparks from his hands grow stronger, uncontrollably zapping at all of its surroundings. It only caught Jax's attention when a piece of paper caught fire.

A groan and a grunt was the only reaction he made, running to the desk that his professor was hiding behind. He clenched his fists as he peered down to the older man, glancing over his shoulder towards the others. "Get up, we need to get you out of here." He said quickly, not willing to take any sort of answer from Myers. He reached out to grab hold of him, pulling him to his feet. Though it wasn't a surprise as the older man flinched, Jax having problems controlling his powers. Though he wasn't fazed, doing his best to rush the man into the hallway as quickly as he could. As he ran past the projector, Jax pushed it aside, watching it crash to the floor. What a mistake, now he had their attention. Wonderful job at sneaking out, stupid.

Well this was rather crazy. The amount of superheroes here was rather a lot. No reason not to add one more. Jacob casually slipped out a window as the confusion distracted everybody. He then activated his suit with a mental command. Blue metal plates supping out of his skin. To an outsider it might look quite painful. Finally his suit was complete as his eyepiece slid into place. He burst back through the window. "Looks like everybody has been having a party without me!" He said in a cocky way.

Selena watch Prof. Meyers duck for cover from her cards. Before she could try to run over and grab him, a vigilante stepped in with his electric suit. "Did anybody ever tell you how wrong it is to stand on tables, lady?" He asked.

"No, Actually it's quite the opposite." She replied, throwing five cards at him simultaneously. Suddenly Selena was tackled by one of the college students. She managed to keep them tumbling until she was able to manuever a way to pin him down. "Another civilian trying to play 'hero', how cute." Asteria quickly got back on her feet to see another charging at her, she rushed towards the man, only to slide between the man's legs while hitting a pressure point on both knees. Her attention then shifted to the projector falling to the floor and the sight of her target leaving. This caused her to darting out the door to follow.

Prior to going on a full chase, she created a decoy that look exactly like her to stay and fight. Her decoy flicked her magic wand that expanded into a 6 ft bo staff. "Show me what you got." It said.

Jacob was perfectly willing to show this woman "what he got." There was a problem though. According to his censors the woman wasn't there. She didn't show up on his infrared scanners. Jacob considered that his scanners might be wrong. The only problem was that his scanners could spot heat signatures through walls. And a school wasn't very good at filling its hallways with heat signatures during class time. There it was! A heat signature chasing another! That had to be the real woman. She was quite the magician. Jacob or rather X-metal ran out the door and through the hallways until he finally caught up. "Stop right there!" He yelled.

The decoy let X-Metal pass by it, A two on one seemed most in it's favor. It twirled it's bo staff whilst she approached her to opponents, swinging and stabbing in their direction. If she was able to hit them, they would notice that everything seemed real. Even the pain they would feel if it was successful.

Asteria heard a sound of a man calling out to her from behind to see X-Metal right on her tail. She cursed under her breath prior to picking up speed. She withdrew her bo staff and used as a long jump stick to get in front of the electric man and the professor. Preparing herself for a fight, she announced. "Give me Meyers and there won't be anymore damage."

Jax threw a glance behind him towards the witch that followed them, was that even what he could call her? Well, it didn't matter. She was literally crazy. But there wasn't much he could do, Jax couldn't let her get the man. He was safer leaving him outside. Though when he was about to turn and fight back, another hero came running down the hall. He was at a crossroads, leave him to fight this magician witch magic lady or help him. So he chose the latter, being the nice guy he was.

Jax had been prepared to push the Professor down the hallway to the glass doors. Though as he did so, this.. magic witch lady got in front of him. With a roll of his eyes, he let out a surge of energy to knock out the lights. "I don't care about damage, you need to get the hell out of here, ya crazy." Jax snapped, pulling his staff from his back and extending it from a simple small stick. Jax used it to his advantage, something metal to easier conduct his electricity. He took a few steps back warily, pointing it towards her with narrowed eyes. "You're messing with the wrong guy, magic lady."
