Non-Coded Version
Party Down

Thank you for your interest in my RP! Here is what I'd like to see in your character sheets, feel free to organize this any way you'd like and add and information you'd like!!

Role: You can use a role from the list provided, but if inspiration strikes feel free to DM me with an alternative idea!
Age: 21+
Date of Birth:
Place of Birth:
Gender:
Sexuality:
Career/Aspiration: Obviously your character works at party down, but in addition to this add whatever career they're trying to break into (if they are trying to do something else)

Either a paragraph description of your character's appearance including the following, or a list of the following:
Hair:
Eyes:
Height:
Body Mods:
Style:
Face Claim: Real person please!

Either a description of your character's personality in paragraphs, or list of traits with explanations.
Skills:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Fears:
Dreams:

Character History: 2+ paragraphs please!

That's what I'd like to see on your character sheet, now here's some info on the process. Get creative with your characters, I will be accepting multiple characters with the same role as long as they aren't just the same person, the descriptions of roles included are loose guidelines- feel free to deviate from them a bit if you wish. While I am accepting multiples for roles, I will be drawing the line at three unique characters per role- so take a peek at other's character sheets to maybe try to create a role that is missing so we can have a well rounded group. This RP is not first come first serve, your character will need to be accepted to participate. I will be using a bit of a rolling admissions policy on this one, since the limit on roles isn't huge and people can make whatever they wish I will accept characters as they come in. I will be holding off on accepting right away if I see a lot of interest in certain roles, so make sure to get those placeholders up!! For now, there is a one character limit- but depending on how many people get involved this may change once I accept people. One little tip for creating your characters, make sure they have some flaws- can't have a girl boss without some girl fail, am I right? Thanks for reading, can't wait to see your lovely characters!!!

Roles:
The Team Leader (taken): You never really had big dreams of stardom, only dreams of comfort. You actually care about the job- the customer experience, quality of food- all of it. Unfortunate, considering the team you're meant to be leading doesn't really want to be here.
The Burnout (open): "Hey you're that-" yes, yes you were. An actor who had their 15 minutes of fame. Maybe you were in a shitty commercial, a flopped movie, whatever. It all went wrong and now you're here, having given up on the Hollywood dream.
The Hotshot (open): You're in the overall good looking business. actor, model, musician- you draw in a lot of attention with your looks but for whatever reason you don't have quite enough spark to make things really happen. Don't let the haters get you down though, you're optimistic about your future.
The Comedian (open): People have always said you were funny. So, you decided to try out this whole comedian thing. Now, after all the rejection, you're wondering if you've made a huge mistake.
The Fading Star (open): Star is a very loose term. You've been doing this for a while. Maybe you had a couple small victories here and there but never really made it. You're hoping that your moment of discovery is just around the corner.
The Writer (open): Haha nerd. You're a talented writer... or maybe you're kind of shit at it who knows? Your screenplays have never been picked up by anyone who matters and you're eager to change that.
The Influencer (open): Always on your phone, you're this close to being monetized. Some may look down on your aspirations, saying it's a lower art form, but you're working just as hard as everyone else to make your dreams come true.
The Cook (open): Ok, so you actually have some skills related to this job, congrats. You'd love to be a pro chef but you lack proper training. Although most of Party Down's food is pre made you usually get to make a couple dishes to give the appearance of higher quality food. You're sick of having no creative control over the menu, maybe you'll have to take things into your own hands.
The Singer (open): You have a great voice. Unfortunately for you, so do thousands of other people in Hollywood. You're finding your brand and trying to stand out from the rest of the crowd.

Rules:
1. Adhere to all RPN rules please!! This one is pretty simple.
2. Communication is key! Please make sure you are able to communicate during this RP. Discord will be used for ooc, so please don't apply if you don't use discord. I'm honestly pretty chill with most (non rule breaking) things as long as you communicate. During the course of the RP, it's totally ok if you have to back out, I get it stuff can come up, just give me a heads up!
3. Roles will not be first come first serve! You will have to apply for your character. However, the roles I have listed are just basic ideas of characters and you 100% don't have to completely stick to them. You can diverge from the role's description or even create your own concept entirely (if you do the second thing, just dm me your concept to ensure it will fit into the RP, I don't bite I swear). Aside from the team leader I'm not limiting myself to accepting one person for each role, just make sure your character is unique enough (can't stress this enough- you're allowed to diverge from the initial role description if you so wish) and you should be fine!
4. Be kind! Just be respectful of everyone involved in the RP. If you have and questions, comments, concerns or threats contact me right away!

Traverse City, MI
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Queer
Career/Aspiration: Her short-term goal, finish writing her screenplay. Medium-term goal, cast, direct it and submit it to the festival circuit. Long-term goal, write and direct blockbuster projects for a major studio. Above all else, make enough from writing to stop being a cater.

Hair: She has medium-length auburn hair. She goes back and forth on keeping her bangs, it all comes down to if she's too lazy to cut them or not. Currently, she's keeping them trimmed.

Personality: Bambi is a true go-getter, constantly seeking new challenges. With her sights always set on what's next, she embraces each endeavor with enthusiasm and determination. Her sharp-witted nature adds a touch of cleverness to her interactions, and her sardonic sense of humor adds a playful twist to her conversations. As a natural people pleaser, Bambi finds genuine joy in supporting and uplifting those around her. Whether it's lending a listening ear or offering a helping hand, she is always there for her friends and loved ones. Driven by a strong moral compass, Bambi's loyalty to others ranks high on her list of priorities. She values the connections she forms and is fiercely devoted to those she cares about. While her compassionate nature and dedication to others are her strengths, Bambi may occasionally struggle with setting boundaries.

Skills: What Bambi lacks as a waitress, she makes up as a writer. She has a strong creative vision, an unparalleled drive, and a desperation to stop being a waitress. She's sharp-witted, unwaveringly loyal, and makes connections easily.
Likes: Coffee, movies, trivia, roller skating, late-night drives, visiting museums, playing her violin.
Dislikes: Pain in the ass customers, people who don't give honest opinions, disloyal people.
Fears: Dying accomplishing nothing more than what she currently has.
Dreams: To win an Oscar for best original screenplay or director. Preferably for screenplay, but who is she to be picky?

Character History:
Bambi Aldridge's story began in the heart of Michigan, where she was born to loving and free-spirited hippie parents. Growing up as an only child, her home was a haven of art, music, and intellectual discussions, nurtured by her parents' bohemian lifestyle. From a young age, Bambi displayed exceptional writing talent, capturing the hearts of teachers and peers with her imaginative tales. Numerous young writer awards fueled her passion further, setting her sights on a future in literature.

As a bossy yet determined kid, Bambi's creative leadership came to light as she directed school plays during her formative years. This experience solidified her dream of becoming a writer and director, leading her to pursue a college scholarship in the world of film and directing. However, after a year in graduate school, Bambi felt restricted by its rigidity, prompting her to drop out and embrace a more hands-on approach to learning her craft.

With a one-way ticket to Los Angeles, Bambi sought to immerse herself in the bustling world of filmmaking. Starting as a production assistant, she absorbed every experience, learning the ropes of the industry. Yet, the relentless pressure and fast-paced lifestyle took a toll, leaving Bambi feeling drained and burnt out. To support herself financially, she delved into catering, balancing her creative passions with the reality of paying the bills, and put her current screenplay on hold.
