The one who made Aerth
A crackpot theory enthusiast with to much disposable income believed the pyramids had been constructed under alien supervision in order to hide a amazing treasure... Dude was kinda right, long ago on earth in a time before the internet or modern medicine. A alien crash landed on earth and promptly used advanced technology to enslave the natives forcing them to work in making their plans come to fruition.
This alien was from a planet named Pandoria, this criminal was something of a legend in the universe well known for heinous acts, impossible plans and never getting caught. Raakot of Pandoria stole his planets most valuable and guarded treasure. Unfortunately for Raakot he was unable to enjoy his prize as what he stole was essentially a indestructible box he could not open. A metal cube with a odd lock none on Pandoria had ever opened.
Raakot buried Pandoria's box deep underground and it remained there untouched for more than two thousand years.
It was Zeke Speedam who found the box, he was able to smuggle it back to the United States where he spent months attempting to open this alien container... it was on new years eve 2029 when Zeke managed to open the box in a drunken stupor. 2030 was when the world changed forever.
The box exploded but nothing was destroyed, Earth was covered in a mysterious energy and the planet itself evolved overnight.
Vegetation mutated for the better in ways that could solve food crisis anywhere,
Glowing crystals more powerful then nuclear energy grew all over the planet,
New born babies had a chance of being born with tiny horns on their head and odd patterns on their skin...
As humanity adapted to these miraculous changes the world lept forward dramatically over the course of six months.
Though it wouldn't last forever, a wormhole opened and a single alien stepped out of the swirling portal.
After swiftly dealing with the police causing minimal casualties the alien was able to speak English and asked only for one thing. "Your world thrives with the gift taken from my home long ago. It was unlocked recently and brought changes to this planet that should not be. Bring me the one who stole Pandoria's future, bring me the key to Pandoria's box"
As introductions and negotiations with Selrooc of Pandoria and the united nations began a manhunt was started for the one to open this stolen box. Zeke Speedam was a changed man however...
Being the one to open the box meant he was right next to the explosion that evolved the world. Zeke had been bathed in the energy and emerged with powers and knowledge that none others on the planet could understand.
Zeke armed himself with a handgun and swiftly attempted to assassinate the alien invader before it could doom earth...
A battle ensued with Zeke and Selrooc exhibiting a number of strange abilities that could only be described as a super powered fight. Bullets dodged, beam swords clashed and they throw each other and others with telekinesis...
Luckily for Zeke a secret service member was able to land a shot on the alien killing it before she was about to execute him.
"The pandorians are coming! They will enslave us and kill us and strip mine the planet!! I opened their box but it wasn't their box but they couldnt open it we need to find the horns! Theres gonna be more of them!!" Ramblings of a panics man with alien powers. Correct ramblings however, when the pandorians invaded they did so by way of transporting ground troops with robots of varying kind. Zeke armed with Selrooc's weapons was the only real threat to this invasion but humanity managed to kill and force the aliens to retreat. With the glowing crystals and recovered alien tech to reverse engineer the idea of evening the playing field seemed much more realistic.
With tactics and preparation the tide of war changed, the invasions became random in occurrence and locations but each time the numbers that came and the mechs they bring would be larger... The ATF respond and deal with these invasions as best they can but ultimately rely on Zeke to win the day. A task that is killing him faster then any would like to admit, Earth has lived this way for twenty years now.
After two years of being earths mightiest hero Zeke floated the idea across that maybe he should be teaching some of the kids with horns as they for sure have alien abilities of some level.
With billions of dollars behind the idea Speedam academy came to be.
A school for altered children to learn how to control and use their power for the sake of the world.
Also a fair bit of combat training as these kids are the next best thing to send in assuming Zeke is going to die soon at the age of fifty six...

So what's this RP about? Basically super power school mixed with alien invasions.
The horned humans are stronger faster better then regular humans and they also have at least one of three abilities.
Moving at super speeds, telekinesis, shooting energy...
Depending on how many people wanna join there would be two roles for people to play.
1) your character would be a horned human whose apart of this school learning how to fight aliens ranging between the ages of 13 and 20 as the abilities kick in during puberty.
2) your character is a scientist/soldier/guard whose a veteran in the field using repurposed alien tech to fight. They work at the academy teaching/researching/guarding/etc...
It's a casual deal I guess but I'd rather every one spell as best they can and write a minimum of two paragraphs in a post.
