Yes his actual parents (Jade and Mark they were also demons) died. And Emily (Jade's sister. So Emily is technically his aunt) took him in

Succeeded to write more backstory about goblins and Tup. To me it now makes more sense why Tup was doing fires around when she found herself middle of humans, she's afraid of humans and tries to get help from her goddess.
