In a world where magic is real and very known, there was a goddess banished to stay within a singular building. Fortunately for her, she got to keep most of her power, and she used it to shape her forever home into an elegant palace/manor. For a while, life was great. She had celestial servants who could do whatever she liked, feasts of food, and even a little garden in the center of it all. But it was lonely due to how little of a personality her celestials had, and she desired company that wasn't made to serve her.
So when mortals built a town near her home, she sent some servants down with open arms. This set off a long tradition of yearly balls, feasts, and lavish parties that filled the goddess's heart with what she truly needed. Things were happy for years, each generation learning the festivities after the previous. It became assumed that villagers would just come to her events. But then a merchant brought plague into town, and there was a very sad year where the goddess simply thought nobody had come to her events due to some twisted newfound hatred. Soon the town was empty except for the corpses of the dead to plague, and the immortal quickly assumed that the mortal folk despised her. She closed her doors and didn't throw another party for a great length of time, weeping on many days about her betrayal. But soon she had cried out enough tears to realize that she was being foolish and should just send a diplomat down to see why the people gave up on her.
But things have changed since the doors of the palace/manor were closed, and it's slightly more futuristic modern day. You are controlling Ida, the favorite diplomat of the goddess. You must struggle through this new world and try to get the now spiteful people of the "Town" back on the goddess's side.
