Backstory (Behind Magic): It started when Malachi's grandfather died. With a whispered sigh, he wished he could see him again. A shimmering sphere appeared in the air, and showed him his favorite memory with the old man. Malachi couldn't understand what was happening, and wouldn't until he began experimenting.
Personality: Malachi is a quiet and reserved individual, preferring to read silently beyond anything else. The only time he really opens up is when he is discussing history and societal norms.

Magic: Malachi can open up a window in time, through which he can view past events. Malachi cannot influence said events, beyond being able to pause and slow down the images. Malachi is also an expert magical duelist, possessing an impressive knowledge of spells through his studies.
