Werewolves. So many different stories, myths and legends. All were wrong. They don’t turn into beasts on a full moon and are not blood thirsty. They can change to a wolf form whenever they please once they reach the age of sixteen. This is because that is the age the wolf inside them actually talks to them. This wolf typically is the same gender and is almost identical to their human, besides the fact that their temper is usually much shorter and they are more extroverted. It is also them that allow them both to find their mate. Their mate is their other half. Their only one true love who they are destined for. A mate can be found by a sweet intoxicating scent and their wolf going crazy.

Werewolves were pack animals, they were loyal to those in their pack and more importantly their family. Their were ranks and they lived in these ranks. Some packs lived in their own homes and others lived in one big pack house.

PLOT
#~#

Rouges which were lone wolves seeking to kill and destroy packs were on a high. <Muse A> was acting alpha away from the pack while his father stayed home to make sure no one got hurt. With his future beta and a few others, <Muse A> needed to form an alliance with this other pack so they could merge and be one unstoppable pack. In order for the rouges to back down. <Muse A>’s wolf had been going crazy all day, ever since they had gotten within the pack’s borders, muttering things about ‘mate’. <Muse A> didn’t quite understand but they soon arrived and were met outside by the other alpha and pack. Their wolf only grew increasingly annoying and frustrating as they neared the pack house of the other pack.

They conversed for a while before <Muse A> froze mid sentence. An unbelievable scent hit him and his wolf went crazy inside of him. <Muse B> was slowly returning in wolf form, he was smaller than most wolves; being a runt and was pretty torn up. His usual sandy fur was coated in thick red blood with his body covered in wounds, his ear ripped and his back leg curled up to his underbelly as he only used three legs. He was a mess but it was all because he was sent to get rid of the rouges and he stood no match to them. It was lucky he was alive. The alpha glared and ordered him to go get cleaned up. <Muse B> cowered and rushed into the house, surprisingly not noticing <Muse A>. “Mate! Mate! Hes hurt!”

“Wake up you lazy runt!” Snapped an all too familiar voice. There was no time for groaning or fighting for more than the few hours of sleep he had got. Cody shot right up from the floor he was made to sleep on. His body ached and the few bruises he was given last night still pulsed but he knew he had to get up. It would all be worse if he didn’t. Once he was up, the man slapped him hard across the face and scoffed. “You were meant to make breakfast ten minutes ago! Do you think starving your pack is acceptable?”

“Sorry Beta Jenson, It wont happen again,” Cody whimpered, cowering and bowing his head to his beta. As much as the Windward pack was known for their strong fighters and brutal ways, everyone believed them to love their pack and were seen protecting eachother more than anything but amongst all that laid Cody. A runt who did all the chores and listened to every demand. He was lower than an omega and treated more like a pest than a fellow wolf. He had to do anything they said or there would be punishments in line. Last night he dropped the alpha’s food on the floor and while he rushed to pick it up his so called alpha threw another plate over his back. Thankfully for his clothes protecting his skin it only left a large bruise.

Cody rushed away from his Beta and down the steps of the pack house but that wasn’t before he tripped on the last step. Cody grunted quietly and felt tears brimming his eyes but held them back. He had to be strong. Showing them he was weak would only make things worse. He scrambled to his feet and rushed into the kitchen where he was met with some of the females of the pack already cooking. Before he could help he was quickly stopped.

He felt a strong hand grab the back of his old shirt and he accidentally let out a quiet whimper. The man behind him laughed and turned Cody to face him. “They are going to gobble you up,” Cody lowered his head to his alpha and tried to hide how his body was trembling in fear. “Alpha,” he whispered in respect, feeling the female’s eyes on the back of his head.

“The neighbouring pack will be arriving soon to discuss some business and I don’t want you to be soon. You will ruin our pack’s image by being so weak,” the alpha started, Cody figured he would be locked up somewhere but he was wrong, so so wrong. “You will be going to make yourself useful, there are two rouges hanging around our borders and I want you to go deal with them,” he had a sickening look on his face as he knew what they would do to him. Cody couldn’t believe it but maybe, just maybe it would give him the chance to get away either by death or by running.

The alpha shoved Cody towards the door; ripping the shirt from his back and smirking at the scars and bruises. “Now go along runt, show us how weak your wolf is,” Cody whimpered and sighed silently.

“Don’t listen Cody, we are strong, he will see one day,”

Cody’s wolf rarely spoke, he was sad and weak but he tried here and there. It made Cody feel even more alone. Cody frowned and crouched down as he shifted into his small sandy coloured wolf. Once he had he received a kick in the back of his leg. He yelped and leaped forward before beginning to run; following the scent of unfamiliar wolves,

The day was going to be a long one and that was evident the moment he woke up. Harvey’s wolf had been going crazy, keeping him up a lot of the night. He kept muttering something about it being the day. He kept saying ‘Mate’ over and over again. Especially during breakfast. Harvey growled silently and shook his head. “Shut up, we have no mate, remember?” Harvey had hoped talking to his wolf would quieten him but it didn’t. He sat down at the table and ate a large bowl of cornflakes with some almond milk. He had to go through the day with the blabbering mutt confusing him and having him zone out every ten minutes. Of course he decided to be like this today, they had a very important meeting today and Harvey knew his wolf would get in the way one way or another. He wanted to block him out but as they were the first born of an alpha they were both very well outspoken and stood out like a sore thumb.

“Son, are you all ready? How many wolves are you taking?” Harvey’s father spoke up, popping out from around the corner. With a slice of toast in his hand and his little sister in his other arm. Harvey glanced behind him to see his best friend and soon to be beta with a few warriors. He then turned back to his father and nodded, “Jared, Simon, Larz and John. He would have left but knowing his mother he stepped into the kitchen and kissed her cheek goodbye. She would have gone crazy if he didn’t.

“Bye Harvey, stay safe,” she smiled, hugging him tight. She hated to see him leave but also loved seeing him grow into a fine alpha. “Oh mum, its going to be okay,” he chuckled as a tear slipped down her cheek. She nodded and sniffled quietly before letting him go. Harvey waved goodbye and left the pack house with his beta and warriors following closely behind.

“Hey Harv should we take one car or two?” Jared asked. Harvey thought for a moment before looking at the cars in the garage.

“We will take the one, if rouges attack then we will all be together,” The others nodded and one got into the front while everyone else got into the back. It wasn’t going to be a long drive but long enough for Harvey’s wolf to come and bother him. “Hey, Harvey? Are you alright?” One of the warriors asked but he just gave a simple nod.

Everything went back to silence, the drive was a scenic one, the closer they got to the other pack the louder his wolf got and more confusing. Harvey sighed and shook his head. He wished he could just block him out but he simply couldn’t. Ever since he was sixteen his wolf had been there as loud and proud as he could and it would be like that until they day they die.
