Juichi is known for his playfulness, his happy demeanor, and for always having a smile on his face, no matter what the situation is. He hates being serious, to the point where he would still try to lighten the mood and makes jokes in a life-threatening situation. He would rather leave than engage in any kind of serious conversation. He loves stray animals, because they remind him of himself.

Juichi is one of very few who, knowing the stigma against noras and how they're seen in heaven, still chose to become a nora. This is because of his strong desire to be needed by other people. Deep down, he's extremely insecure about his place as a regalia. He fears being abandoned, being pushed aside for newer regalia, or being forgotten with a fading god. He became a nora to combat these fears, and to make sure that one way or another, he was always needed.
❦
God's Greatest Secret:
Toshiro was born in 1881 during the Meiji Period. He was born to a poor family, and was one of only two children his mother gave birth to that survived past infancy. His father was a fisherman, while her mother was often too sick to work, growing more ill the more she children she tried to have. He spent most of his life working with his father and selling what they caught to anyone who would buy them, even if it wasn't a fair deal. His family went hungry more often than they got to eat.

Still, he managed to befriend a few kids who lived the same way he did and spent all of his free time with them. He was the happiest when he was with his friends, and made the best of the life he had.

One day, Toshiro climbed on top of an old, abandoned house in his neighborhood, scouting the area for his friends while he waited for them to show up. He was only on the roof for a few minutes, but it was long enough for it to crack under him when he tried to climb down. It collapsed, and took Toshiro down with it. The last thing he remembered was hearing his friends call out to him, before everything went dark. And that was that.

Juichi was first found and named by a god of infrastructure, one that was forgotten and faded out of existence. He was only with the god for a year, but the affect she had on his personality lasted to the present. She managed to release him before she faded completely, but most of her regalia weren't so lucky. Not only did Juichi have to watch his first god fade away, unable to help her, but he also had to watch what was left of his family be tossed aside and ridiculed for a name they were stuck with forever.

He met Akani right after she'd been born from the wishes of humans in the 1920's. Juichi never intended to become a nora at first. He only wanted to be remembered, and was happy to stay with Akani if she gave him that. Then, Akani named another regalia, and his fears started. Even though she never neglected him, Juichi still felt like she would toss him aside one day, that his usefulness to her was only temporary. His fears got the better of him when he met Koba for the first time, and he asked the other god to name him. From then on, Juichi was a nora. His relationship with Akani was strained after that, and she never called on him again.

Name: Zentoku
Title: God of Redemption and Retribution
Age: 285
Gender: Male
Height: 6’3
Distinguishing Features: Very bright golden blonde hair.

Main Shrine (n/a if you don't have one): Osaka Zentoku
Clan Name: Ko
Regalia(s): Seiko and Eriko(Many others but these are the two he uses the most and are the only two that for now will have CS)
Exemplar: Seiko

Goals: To aid those who are genuinely looking for a second chance and punish the ones who prey on the people he seeks to help.
Fears: Punishing an innocent person or helping someone get a second chance who doesn’t deserve it.
Strengths (3+): Resourceful, Quick thinking, and has a good amount of followers
Weaknesses (3+): Sucker for sob stories, short tempered, lacks any greater ambition.
Likes (3+): Ice cream, Soap Opera’s (Mostly those around redemption arcs), A good brawl
Dislikes (3+): People who want his help but have no desire to actually redeem themselves, People/Gods/Spirts that prey on his clients, and people who lose their temper easily.
Hobbies: Eating Ice cream while watching different Soap Operas and helping out the humans that come to seek redemption.
Quirk(s): He is a really big sucker for sob stories…

Personality (one paragraph minimum): Zentoku keeps the look of a calm, collected, and grim faced man with constant frown on his face but this simply hides his true nature. When he is a good mood he is quick to help anyone who comes to him for help. Poor, rich, young, old, ex-convict, or lawful citizen it doesn’t matter to him. As long as they come seeking redemption for some act or sin and genuinely want to change themselves then he will put all his effort into helping them. However, for those who seek to trick and use him… if he finds out they did so they will be forced to face the wrath of the god of retribution.

Zentoku has an unexplained fascination with Soap Opera’s, one that he had when he was reincarnated when the last Zentoku died and that he has carried on. None of his regalia’s are ones from his past life so what ever happened to that Zentoku is left to the current one’s imagination. Zentoku is also a bit of a hyprocrit. He hates people who lack patience and are quick to anger. That in itself isn’t a bad thing except for the fact that he himself is very easy to anger on top of the fact that he loves to get into fights.

Wish You Were Born From/History (two paragraphs minimum): “One more chance… Please oh great ones! I beg of you grant me one more chance so that I may help my family and restore the honor that they deserve to have. Do not let them suffer for my mistakes!” This wish cried out at a small shrine over a thousand years ago was the start of everything for Zentoku. Responding to the wish the far shore created a new god, one that would help those seeking redemption and eventually one who deliver retribution onto those who thought to abuse his generosity. Just like any other god he would hunt down and destroy harmful phantoms but his primary focus was always on humanity and the Shinki.

The current Zentoku was reincarnated into the world in the 1730’s at a small shrine that would later become much larger and eventually turn into the Osaka Zentoku. He had no memories, no regalia, and very few believers… it was not a good place to be in for a god. Struggling to find his way he still had his desire to help people and so did just that, helping gain redemption in the eyes of friends, family, society, etc but he couldn’t do much more without a regalia.

It would take him several years for him to find his first regalia, naming the lost spirit Zentoku felt the same satisfaction from naming this Shinki that he felt when helping humans. Since that first regalia he has gained many more by seeking out the lost spirits and granting them a second chance at life by acting in his service. He would be stung, blighted, and betrayed several times but he only rarely gave up on his Regalia. He would always give them a second and third chance. Only three times has he had to revoke names. He has felt betrayed only twice by regalia, one of which decided to become a Nora without his consent and the other which tried to make a grab for power in an attempt to replace his first regalia. As punishment for the Nora he revoked their name, and as the one who tried to murder his exemplar there was no forgiveness or leniency for them.

When gods came forward and started to mingle with the public Zentoku had a decently sized shrine and following. Many of the younger and less popular gods starting swarming out and entering the spotlight but Zentoku didn’t feel the need to. When people realized that the gods were real his follower count increased by itself and so did the amount of clients he had asking for his help. Doing his best Zentoku helped everyone he could and for those who sought to misuse his help he punished them. His name is nowhere near as well known as Akani or a few other gods but he prefers it that. It means that he can walk the streets and still stay unnoticed among crowds for a little while rather than being spotted immediately.

With the rise of the organization Dawn Zentoku at first paid it no mind, he considered it a natural occurance and as long as they didn’t do anything stupid there was no need for him to do anything. As Dawn grew more bold it was time for Zentoku to step in. Protesting and making speeches was one thing but vandalism and destruction of property was another. In his mind Dawn has to be stopped before they start doing more radical and dangerous things.

    Distinguishing Features:
Aside from his elven-like ears and blue tuft of hair, he looks rather normal.
    ?
    Main Shrine:
His first and main shrine is found in Akita Prefecture. However, there is another small shrine dedicated to him in Osaka

    Clan Name:
    [Ka] Clan

    Regalia(s):
    Haruka
    Maruka

    Exemplar:
    Haruka
    ?
    Goals:
His goals are nothing more than the duty bestowed upon him as he was wished into existence - to serve and protect the people during the night where it is most dangerous.

    Fears:
To be forgotten by the people
To be tossed aside for fancier gods

    Strengths:
    Strong will, Excellent fighter, Strategist

    Weaknesses:
Skeptical, Never backs down from a fight, Cynical

    Likes:
    Cute things, Regalia, Fighting

    Dislikes:
Being betrayed, Releasing Regalias, Failing to protect

    Hobbies:
Hanging around others to learn about technology

    Quirks:
    Speaks in formal tone
Has trouble catching up with the latest technology

    Personality:
Hiroki is a rather serious individual most of the time, especially when he's on duty. People often call him a model god for Heaven - follows the rules and doesn't act out of his own selfish thoughts. His goals are the same as before, unchanging just like most of himself. He has a strong sense of duty and will do many things for the humans, as was wished of him. He is, in fact, one of the gods who have directly interacted with humans - but simply to save them and nothing else. A passing memory. An unknown guardian of the night. He is not remembered like Akani and the others who constantly put themselves in the limelight. But he does not despise those gods. Instead, he wishes them the best whenever they meet.

Hiroki, socially, is different. He has a way with words, his speech always sure and confident. Despite being formal and sometimes might even border old-speak, he is described to be charming and captivating. His tone usually holds something that naturally draws people. In terms of talking about simple interaction, he seems to be a little awkward - stumbling over his words in an attempt to try and stay 'modern' instead of his usual formal speech. He is often teased about this, not that he typically minds.

Though, those closest to Hiroki will begin to realize that he is secretive. He rarely talks about himself, even if in casual conversation. Only his Regalias know a lot about him. Not only about actual personal history that he's gone through which is kept secret to others, but the type of person he is when he is at ease. When he's not putting up a facade for others. Not the serious man. Not the charming man. Just someone who can freely talk about his thoughts with his Regalia.
    ?
    Wish You Were Born From/History:
Born at the end of Heian Period, Hiroki was born out of the wishes of many who travelled during the night. They wished for protection and he was born. And so, he did what they needed. He prevented crimes from going on through the night. Of course, it wasn't enough to protect everyone. But he garnered a strong group of devotees who owed their lives to him - as their protector. And he did what he had to do to answer their prayers. He was no god of fortune, but he was able to save them when he needed to. Hiroki's group of devotees let him live for a long time despite being a rather obscure god compared to others, and they even have created him a shrine after decades of service.

His acceptance to Heaven was something he remembered well. As his shrine was built, he was deemed a 'recognized' god and he was invited to Heaven to make it official. He met a lot of other gods that way - those that he has not heard of, at least. Hiroki went off to make allies with the other gods, if anything, to see how they do their jobs. It surprised him to hear that they don't remember who started them, and when they were born. They simply do. Though, he doesn't do anything about it. He just absorbed their lessons, their tales. This was a lesson to him.

He's only gotten a few Regalias in his time. His first was Haruka. He found her during the Spring of 1189. Hiroki had extended his hand to the young teen, first only taking her in to protect her from the ayakashi. It was only when he specifically asked her if she wanted to be his Regalia, a weapon, and her affirmative response that he actually gave her a name. Though he may never outright say it, he does love her dearly and never wants to let her go. Centuries pass by and he has released most of his Regalia who wished to move on as they see that other gods have better services than him. It pained him to do it, but such was life.

Recently, Hiroki has been moving between Akita and Osaka. The recent events haven't bothered him all that much as he let other gods do what they please. He didn't feel the need to show off as much as them since he has a good set of followers with him and if he feels like it is dwindling, which is quite the opposite really, he still drops the business cards near the people he saves. He's pretty much neutral when it comes to the gods who have continuously prodded into other people's lives. Sometimes, he even attends the events these gods hosts - if anything, to socialize and learn from these gods and their Regalia. Though, he will not doubt the fact that he's interested in them. He isn't sure about this new 'Dawn' group and how they plan on enacting their plans so he keeps an eye on what may happen.

    Other:
His method of spreading his own influence without his own group of devotees is to drop a sort of business card onto the ground when he saves or helps someone which contains his name and him being a god. He does this every fifth person he helps. Nowadays, he does it out of formality. These business cards disappear after five days.

Human/Vessel Name: Amber/Finchi
Name Before Death: Diana Volundram
Age: 17 (19)
Gender: Female
Height: 5'2"
Distinguishing Features: Her name is etched onto the back of her neck, her arm is dark-speckled as a reminder of the impact

God: WIP
Vessel Form: A long, oak cane
Abilities: Borderline, Restraint
Skills: Cooking, Origami, Making music

Dreams: To figure out how she ended up in the middle of nowhere
Fears: Having been permanently separated from her family, bugs
Virtues: Loyal, Protective, Optimistic
Vices: Overbearing, High-strung, Uptight
Likes: Good music, Good food, Good people
Dislikes: Anyone with malicious intent, Vanity, bugs (and maybe snakes)
Quirks: Multitask Master, Green thumbs (yeah, both), and a soft spot for homeless animals

Personality:
She's a bit overbearing, if not overprotective, of those she's close to. Some would say a natural maternal figure. Never quite one for stereotypes, though, Diana is also strong-willed, and rarely gives leeway for disagreement when making decisions. People constantly praise her optimism and her almost-never-fading smile, a fact Diana is quite proud of. She likes to focus on approaching people with a calm, collected, and joyful demeanor, believing strength lies more in a person's ability to hope for the better than their physical capabilities. Well-rounded and smart, she is content to bide her time if waiting for a better opportunity seems like the better option.

God's Greatest Secret:
Diana had always been more of a guardian kind of sister. Maybe that's why she ended up in her position. She was a student with excellent marks and not a single stain on her reputation. She had always been revered as the living example of a perfect student. Diana stayed after class to tutor her peers and was a good enough musician to confidently bring her music to the parties she'd often attend. No one would have expected her to take her life.

And they'd be right.

She didn't try to take her life. Diana's older brother, John, was always just a tad bit behind her. Just a tad bit. His grades ghosted behind just a few single digits lower. His tutoring sessions just a tad bit less successful, but these things were to be expected. He was a star baseball player for his school. He pitched like no other boy in his grade, but that wasn't enough. He didn't want to be good. He wanted to be better. He started staying up late into the night, cramming extra lessons when he should have been sleeping. He would skip meals to practice pitching, and practicing sprints. He got into fights. He started drinking, and his marks started falling.

Eventually, the pressure was too great for him and he crashed. Hard. After a night of partying and an alcohol and adrenaline fueled stud session, John pitched for his senior championship match. He was plagued with drowsiness, lack of strength, and a migraine. He could only throw slow straight balls, and his first three pitches were sent into the outfield, giving the opposing team two runs straight out of the first inning. His performance only dropped from there. He was benched that match. It was the first time John had ever been benched, and it hurt him. Finals were just a few months after, and he did just as poorly, suffering from full-on sleep deprivation and malnutrition from the stress of trying to keep his world from falling to pieces. He was the only senior who failed the exam. On their way back home from receiving their test results, Diana tried comforting John, letting him know it was only a year, and that he could easily pick himself back up. Easily. As they waited to cross the road, John suddenly leaped into the path of an oncoming black sedan. Diana rushed to grab his backpack, but couldn't stop him from running into the street, so she pushed him instead. She wasn't very strong, but he was far enough to feel the rush of wind and not the unforgiving impact of the bumper as the shocked driver slammed on his breaks a good five feet too late. Diana was pronounced dead the next day.

Koba
Title:
God Of Insanity

Age:
28 (57)

Gender:
Male

Height:
5'11

Distinguishing Features:
N/A

Main Shrine:
N/A

Clan Name:
N/A

Regalia:
Juichi

Exemplar:
N/A
Goals:To Find A Purpose

Fears:
Lobotomies

Strengths:
Cunning, Unpredictable, Moralless

Weaknesses:
Weak, No Regalia, Placid

Likes:
Fireflies, The Freedom To Do What He Wants, Loose Clothing

Dislikes:
Lectures, Self-Righteous People, Bananas

Hobbies:
Helping Young Gods Cheat Their Way Into The Entertainment Industry, For A Price.

Quirk:
Short Attention Span

Personality:
Koba thinks out loud, not in a blunt way, but literally. He might mention something completely random and unrelated in the middle of a conversation, confusing all around him. Not having a regalia means he can do whatever he wants with no real repercussions. He doesn't try to be remembered, even though he's probably the weakest god on the near shore, and he doesn't care about getting an actual regalia or starting a clan of his own. He doesn't have the drive to do anything outside of basic necessities, like not being homeless.

Wish You Were Born From:
Koba was born in 1961, from the wishes of those who lived in an asylum. They wanted someone to make them better and take their illnesses away, and so Koba was born. He spent the first ten years of his life there, until it closed down in 1973. Koba spent that time helping patients as much as he could. He did what they wanted, curing those with small illnesses (and convincing some admitted by mistake that they weren't ill at all), and the worst off patients felt better when he was around, even though he wasn't strong enough to help them the way they wanted him to. He was given the name Koba by a man who suffered from hallucinations. Koba is only still alive in Current Day because of a few from the asylum who still remember him, indebted to the god that disappeared after the asylum shut down for helping them.

He lost his purpose as science advanced, and people started to rely more on medical treatments to help them than calling on gods. He wandered from place to place, until he met Juichi in 1974, and the regalia told him about Akani. He never personally met her, but he knew Juichi cared deeply for her. Which was why he wasn't surprised when the regalia abandoned him for the other goddess a few months after they met. Knowing what it was like to be without a home, Koba started doing favors for gods for money. At first it was only small things, until Akani paved a new path for the gods of the near shore. Then gods were asking him to help them beat out their human competitors. He doesn't see Dawn as much of a threat.

God: Zentoku
Vessel Form: Double barrel shotgun
Abilities: (borderline, restraint, etc): Borderline, Prison, Restraint Declare
Skills: Ranged combat, manual labor, and drink (Alcohol) making,

Dreams: When the day comes that he is no longer needed by his master that Zentoku will reveal his old name and past before Seiko is struck down.
Fears: Dying or fading away without knowing who he was when he was a human.
Virtues (3+): Hardworking, Helpful, and forgiving
Vices (3+): Reckless, Stubborn, Obsessive
Likes (3+): Working with his hands, drinking, staying active
Dislikes (3+): Having nothing to do, Seeing human suffering, People taking advantage of his master
Quirks: Seiko can only stay still for a few moments at a time and even then he is usually tapping his foot or dong something with his hands.

Personality (one paragraph minimum): Seiko is a rather serious individual but that doesn’t mean he is unkind. Like his master he is devoted to helping those who come to seek his master’s help however he does not treat it like a normal job. He becomes engrossed in not only these jobs but with everything he does doing his best and pouring his all into often leading to reckless acts on his part. Another point of his obsession is his desire for information, even information that is considered taboo or could result in his death.

God's Greatest Secret (two paragraphs minimum): In life Muramasa was a poor farmer turned soldier. Though he lived in a relatively peaceful time a standing army was needed to keep the peace and they paid decently well. Signing up he ended up becoming a guard at a small settlement near his home town. That settlement happened to house a scholar who taught the soldiers how to read and write. Muramasa was captivated by the written language and quickly became obsessed with reading and writing. He became so engrossed that one night on patrol he was reading when he should have been doing his job and attackers slip inside the settlement. Tons of people died in the fighting and Murmasa fled for his life in disgrace.

Now wandering Japan as a deserter he sought out all knowledge he could as he avoided authorities. He came across a pleasant little village one that had a small collection of books, it was a rare find in japan. He resided there for a few years until it came under assault from bandits. Seeking anything valuable they attempted to steal the books but Muramasa fought them off… but at the cost of his life. A bullet from a musket pierced a vital artiry and he was left to bleed out in the place he fought so hard to defend. He wasn’t angry, infact as he bled out he began to think it was a just punishment, to be killed protecting the thing that lead to the deaths of tons of people, it was a fit ending for someone beyond redemption. With his last breath he changed his mind, he wanted a second chance, a way to right what he had wrong… he would receive that chance but not in the form he thought.

His eyes opened and he had no idea where or who he was. A man with golden hair unlike any he had seen stood before him hand outstretched. The man gave him a name, gave him a purpose, and offered him redemption. He didn’t know why but Seiko wanted nothing more than to accept the offer so he did and thus he became the first regalia of the current Zentoku.

Being the first regalia of the god of redemption it fell to him to set the expectations for the regalia following him and that he did. Doing everything he could he constantly remained the most trusted regalia Zentoku had even becoming the god’s Exemplar after he nearly gave his life to protect the god from a duel with a rival god who was trying to go after one of the pairs clients. Through thick and thin Seiko has followed Zentoku and he would have it no other way… the only issue he has ever had with the god is his refusal to tell Seiko what his past was like. Something that Seiko wishes to remember before he dies for his second and final time.

She is kind to the other regalia but also is warry of them as well due to her paranoia. She doesn’t know why but she loves to watch and observe people… not only that but she is good at make discreet observations and putting them to memory the reciting them later. Lastly she is terrified of dogs and will freak out anytime she is near one.

God's Greatest Secret (two paragraphs minimum): Once upon a time when the gods first came to light humans did not only rely on them rather they relied on each other. During a time of rampant crime the police did their best to fight against the criminals but they needed help of informants and common people. Akari was the former. Working for the cops she infiltrated and helped bring down several powerful crime organizations. She started at a young age and was very good at her job, never letting her cover be blown because she knew that if her cover ever was blown then she would die.

One day she made a vital mistake. Trusting another fellow informant she failed to verify her own information before passing it on. Turned out it was fake info and was a trap for the cops. The cops were slaughtered and her cover blown. She fled but the gang tracked her down, beat her, and set the dogs on her ending her life. Before she died she had only one wish, to mend her mistake and save the lives of the cops.

What had already been done could not be undone, but that didn’t mean future tragedies couldn’t be avoided. She was given a name, a home, and a chance to help others right their wrongs. She took it and has since served faithfully even uncovering a plot to kill her master’s exemplar. Now with the rise of dawn she sees it as a perfect chance for her master to gain more fame and actively encourages him to participate in setting these humans straight.

quirk: While the dishes she creates for others aren't too peculiar, Umeko herself has a rather odd taste in food. For example, she enjoys eating weird combinations such as dried squid or red bean soup accompanied with soda, and using miso in her butternut squash. However, this usually isn't reflected in her cooking as she fears that the general population wouldn't agree with her food choices.

personality;
Generally, Umeko is a gentle and affectionate goddess. She greatly enjoys the satisfaction of helping others, and makes it a habit to visit the poorer regions of Japan to offer fresh meals regardless of whether or not it was wished for. While people wishing for food depend on her, she also has the tendency to depend on others. Namely her regalia, as she can be quite reliant on them for even the simplest of tasks, such as providing reminders of upcoming events and to-do lists to alleviate her forgetfulness. However, she never seems to forget anything culinary-related. She is compassionate and genuinely cares about the well-being of others, but she may think that food is the solution to all problems, firmly believing that the way to anybody's heart is through their stomach. Umeko is easily tired out by social interaction, though has gotten better at enduring it over the years through her time working at restaurants.
wish you were born from;
Long ago, the first Uke-mochi was born in 1181 during the Yōwa era from the wishes of those who suffered from a major drought-induced famine that lasted two whole years. Around the area known as Iwanuma in present day, villagers were starving and slowly dying from the scarcity of food, and they had all collectively made a wish for something—anything to eat. Crops were fruitless as a result of the lack of rainfall, and there was virtually nothing that could have mitigated the situation. The constant nagging, painful feeling of hunger was appalling, and many villagers pleaded for help. And thus, Uke-mochi was created to ease their agony, blessing the villagers with simple, but adequate and nutritious meals for them to eat, or other ingredients for them to make their own. The entire town heavily depended on her for the duration of the famine, until the drought finally let up for them to continue farming. The famine was deemed less severe with her aid, and the inhabitants of the old Iwanuma were eternally grateful, forever remembering the goddess that saved them from hunger. Because of her deed, the same inhabitants of the village created her first and main shrine once they fully recovered and were able to build the temple in her honor.

history;
For the next four hundred years, Uke-mochi went on to fulfill the wishes of others while sharpening her own culinary abilities, and also picked up some regalia under her wing in the process. However, the first Uke-mochi soon met her demise after being assassinated by another god, and lost most of her previous regalia, with the exception of one. Legend has it that once killed, even the dead remains of the goddess bore foods like beans, rice, and millet, though it is nothing more than a myth created by imaginative followers.

The next Uke-mochi lasted another two hundred and fifty years, thankfully reincarnated from her stable foundation of supporters. Fortunately, food would always be desired by people, especially those living in poverty, so she had less to worry about in terms of being forgotten. For the longest time, she was reliant on the one regalia that survived from the previous Uke-mochi, which had been named her exemplar by default. While traumatized by the assassination, the exemplar didn't let the emotions consume him to keep the goddess healthy. Everything went smoothly over the years, and during this time, she also adopted Komena. Uke-mochi was quite happy to have another shinki to expand her small family of regalia, and likewise, Komena was glad to be cared for by the goddess. The goddess-regalia relationships were in good shape for a couple of years, however, the addition of a shinki meant that not all of her love and attention would be reserved for a single regalia, as now she had to split it between the both of them. Her exemplar was not too fond of Komena as a result, having been too accustomed to having Uke-mochi to himself, and this eventually sprouted into jealousy that slowly blighted her. He claimed that it was much better when it was just the two of them, and Komena was nothing more than a nuisance. Her exemplar expressed more malice over time, and had ill intentions toward her other shinki. Uke-mochi was unsure of what to do, not wanting to release either of her regalia in spite of the spreading infection. She was incredibly pained, but failed to purify the regalia in time to prevent the impurities from killing her. Other gods seemed to have noticed the emergence of the shinki-turned-ayakashi a bit too late, with Uke-mochi dead. Fortunately though, the ayakashi was dealt with and her former exemplar was exterminated.

Finally, the current Uke-mochi was reborn, with the most prominent change in this reincarnation being her youthful appearance as she stopped aging after her teenage years, in contrast to the previous two goddesses who appeared to be adults. Miraculously, Komena lived through the preceding events, and much like how the second Uke-mochi lived, he was her only regalia and new exemplar. Except this time, he vowed to himself that he would never let things end the way it did with the last reincarnation, swearing to serve and protect her for as long as he could. He promised himself that he would be a much better exemplar than the last, and kept that goal in mind for decades to come. Komena was always strong-minded and resolute, refusing to let the words of the old exemplar bring him down. He did feel guilty about his inability to do anything to help her in the past, but he endeavored to not let history repeat itself. On Uke-mochi's 150th birthday, she found and named Hina while she was wandering about outside with Komena as they were making their way to a restaurant to celebrate. Hina was warmly welcomed into the family, and was Uke-mochi's best birthday present yet.

The goddess continued granting wishes, fulfilling requests, exterminating ayakashi—the same tasks that all gods were required to do. She lived rather happily with her two shinki, and things changed for the better once Akani made herself known to the public. At first, it was rather shocking for Uke-mochi once she'd heard of the news from other gods, but at the same time, she found it quite admirable. Once other gods followed suit with the trend of commercializing themselves, Uke-mochi also jumped on to the bandwagon as per the suggestion of her regalia. After traveling to Osaka and taking on the trade name of Umeko Mochi, she began working as a chef at a small restaurant, though both her and the restaurant's popularity skyrocketed once people heard of the culinary goddess' presence. Having the food and cooking goddess around meant stealing customers from other establishments, though Umeko tried her best to alleviate this by working at all sorts of different restaurants to evenly spread out the popularity. She preferred that over opening a restaurant of her own, claiming that it would be too much work. At the same time, being a chef meant staying at the back, hidden away from customers. Hina once recommended that Umeko should make her face more known alongside her name, and proposed that she should also take advantage of her young and cute appearance to work as a waitress as well. Due to Hina's advice, she occasionally puts on maid attire to serve at a local maid café much to her initial discomfort, though she eased into it over time. She swaps between working as a server and a chef, both for the sake of making her name well-known.
