    At the age of 12, Tobias moved from South Korea to America. The move was a massive culture shock to the boy, so it was only natural that he had such a hard time in his new environment. Often teased at school for his thick accent when he spoke in English, Tobias simply resorted to not speaking at all when in a public setting. The anxiety of being around others, knowing that they would potentially just mock the way he spoke, was strong enough for him to develop social anxiety and selective mutism. Over the years, he has grown and used tactics to overcome it, but he still regularly struggles daily.

    Isaac is a true free spirit.

    Outgoing, openhearted, open-minded. He stands out in a crowd with a lively, upbeat approach to life and ultimately becomes the life of the party no matter how big or small the group is. However, it’s not just about having a good time. He longs for meaningful, emotional connections with other people, creating memories and relationships that won’t just last a night but rather a lifetime. When surrounded by others, of course he wants to have fun and ensure everyone else is experiencing this dopamine hit. But he also wants to connect emotionally with others, creating the space to have genuine, heartfelt conversations with people he may cherish and hold close to his heart. Isaac believes that everyone has the right and deserves to express their feelings. Therefore, it’s important to him to create empathic and warm safe spaces for even timid spirits can feel comfortable opening up. No one is un-important.

    Often compared to an energetic puppy, Isaac is extremely curious. Full of creative ideas, his imagination runs wild with new ideas constantly. He’s not afraid to venture beyond his comfort zone to search for these ideas or for new experiences and adventures. When something inspires him, he just can’t help but share it with everyone and anyone who will listen. But it’s not a one-way street - he’s also incredibly eager to hear what other people’s ideas and opinions are, even if those thoughts are wildly different from his.

    While Isaac is always itching to talk, hoping to share his thoughts and his cup filled to the brim with conversation starters, he’s also an incredibly caring listener - even to people who aren’t particularly sociable or agreeable. Despite growing up in a town with such a small population, Isaac has amazing communication skills. When talking to others, you can tell that you have his full attention from not only his contribution to the discussion but also from his body language. And while he lives and thrives for deep, meaningful conversations, it does not mean he’s limited to just that. Isaac can be quite spontaneous and lighthearted, finding fun and joy in the present moment. There is just something about sharing joy with others that brings such a warm feeling to his heart.

    And that’s exactly what he is - warmhearted. A good-natured, approachable person with an altruistic spirit and friendly disposition. He strives to get along with pretty much everyone, and his circle of acquaintances and friends often stretch far and wide. He’s the type of person you’d expect to walk through a shopping centre with for a quick five minute trip; only for it to drag to an hour from the amount of times you have to stop because he knows someone and wants to say a ‘quick hello’ to them.

    Now, not everyone is perfect. And this extends to Isaac, sadly. His main negative traits circulate around his interaction with others oddly enough. Isaac is an incredibly horrible people-pleaser. The mere thought of being disliked makes him incredibly uncomfortable, and he just wants to maintain a balance of peace. However, for it to effectively work, sometimes he has to compromise on things that matter to him or to allow others to treat him poorly. If he feels that he has failed to ‘win someone over’, he will often toss and turn in bed, stressed about trying to figure out some way to make things all better.


    Extending from his people-pleasing tendencies, he can be far too overly accommodating to others. Isaac feels called to uplight others, and is always the first person to put their hand up to volunteer to help or give guidance when asked. But this often leads to his downfall as he ‘forgets’ to set up boundaries. He becomes overcommitted, leaving him drained and running short on time to tackle the necessities of his own life as he prioritises people’s needs and wants over his own.


    Much like a young pup, Isaac can also be very unfocused, overly optimistic, restless and disorganised. Having ever-evolving interests, he finds it difficult to discipline himself and look at the long-term picture. The lack of discipline is also evident as he tries to avoid boring, practical tasks like chores, school work, or even maintenance. He would instead go run around and do laps in a field than spend the afternoon writing an essay.

    Isaac’s rosy outlook can lead him to make well-intentioned but rather naive decisions. This makes him an easy target, as he’s incredibly gullible. His bubbly response is exactly what deceiving people want to see. In addition to this contagious, spirited personality, Isaac rarely ever seems upset or dissatisfied on the outside when talking to him. However, his inner idealism can leave him with a nagging feeling that some major areas of his life just aren’t good enough - whether that's with his work, his home life or even his relationships.

Juliet was born on a cold morning on the 12th of February in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, she was the first and only daughter of Jacob Ackerman and Emma Ackerman the owners of a small bakery in the city, since the first day that Juliet was born into her parents made sure, to provide the best life for her that they could afford, so growing up Juliet's life was rather simple and calm, but even in her not so luxurious and peaceful life, Juliet always found something that made her happy.

At the age of seven, it was when she received the gift that would change her forever, as her grandmother gift her a music box with a small ballerina inside of it, one that still she treasures until this day. Listening to the music as she saw the small figurine move, woke something inside her, she just wanted to be like her. She imagined how wonderful and beautiful it was to be like that small ballerina in the music box. So, what started as her dancing around the living room pretending to be a ballerina with a tutu made out of pillow sheets. It changed to her attending her first class and wearing proper attire.

Little Juliet felt on cloud nine every time she attended one of her dance classes, counted every hour until her next one, the dance studio was her happy place and it was the place that made her feel as happy that words couldn't describe how she really felt while dancing, was it her passion or her actual talent in talent, she wasn't sure but as she grew older she started getting all the main roles on all the showcases od her dance school, and every time she was on stage, the dream of becoming a ballerina grew bigger and bigger, there was nothing else that she wanted to do more than dancing.

So, when she found out about Muse University, she knew it was the perfect way for her to reach her dreams, at first her parents were reluctant, after all, she would be leaving their small hometown to Washington, it was just a crazy idea and Juliet it was also petrified at the idea of being on her own but her love for dance was bigger than her own dreams, so when she managed to enter she felt that she was getting closer to her dream, but one thing that they never tell you is that even if you were the best dancer in your hometown once you are put next to people with the same dream, and better training it was obvious that Juliet was lacking, something that she once felt she was the best made her realized that maybe she was just a normal dancer and there was nothing special on her.

In her desire to be better to catch up with her peers, Juliet pushed herself more than she could handle, not letting her body rest when she was in pain only added to the perfect storm that almost ended her dance career, but even if her body screamed for her to stop, she thought that if she rested even for a small moment she would be behind of her peers and she just wanted to prove that she was talented and not just a weak link. But that mindset ended up in her injuring herself as she suffered from an ankle impingement, something that shouldn't have been so bad if she didn't continue to push herself even more, to the point she needed surgery but living in a family that wasn't rich, made the payment of the surgery more difficult. It was almost as if her dream was just vanishing in front of her eyes.

Her frustration and anger towards herself and her reckless reactions made her say things and pushed her loved ones and people she cared about, and she still regrets to this day everything that happened during that time. When she was able to finally receive the surgery and after being cleared of physical therapy, Juliet was held a year repeating once again her sophomore year, but she knows now that she was lucky enough and she won't let this new opportunity go away to fulfill her dream and to fix all her mistakes.

Calliope's life has been spent on the sidelines, and she doesn't really mind it. It means she can people-watch without the people paying her much mind or getting uncomfortable. Admittedly, knowing as much as she does about her peers, even the ones she's never directly interacted with, has lead to some awkward conversations. Though she's not the type of person to seek someone out, she's always enthusiastic in conversation and loves when people come up to her.

Though she's far from naive, she does tend to be too quick to trust people, even when she knows she shouldn't; in fact, perhaps more so. She desperately wants to believe that there is good in everyone, and does her best to try to bring it out of them. It helps that she's quick to find something she admires in just about every individual she encounters. She's not easily intimidated or swayed from her typically sunny disposition.

She notices when people dislike her or when they're trying to upset her, but has found it much more effective to keep smiling and pretend she doesn't. Not only does it allow her to protect her energy, but it has the added benefit of usually pissing off the other individual, which has thus far been a reliable source of entertainment.

She doesn't often concern herself with what others think of her, refusing to shy away from expressing herself as she pleases and being enthusiastic about her interests. As a result, she tends to be in her own world more often than not, spacing out frequently.

Calliope was born two days prior to her father's 62nd birthday. Her mother was 42 at the time, and her youngest sibling was 20. It had been a quiet childhood, lonely at times, but she had nothing to complain about for the first ten years. They were comfortable and happy most days. Though her mother had been a stay-at-home wife, she was rather uninvolved in her youngest child's upbringing. Calli always supposed the shock of her existence never fully wore off for her mother. She quickly learned how to keep herself busy and invisible. In her father's eyes, Calliope was nothing short of a miracle. He noticed his wife's lack of interest in their daughter and took it upon himself to retire early in order to dedicate himself to her.

Admittedly, this caused immense stress to her parents' marriage, and it's something her mother has never let Calliope forget.

Her father's death came as a surprise only to her. He had been in relatively poor health since she was seven, but a heart attack ultimately took his life the Christmas eve after her tenth birthday. She and her mother found him in his favorite arm chair when they returned from a playdate. Despite knowing her husband would soon pass, Calliope's mother wondered, often out loud, if he would still be alive had she been home rather than entertaining her unwanted daughter's whims.

Having never had a job nor obtained a degree, Calliope's mother found herself selling the gorgeous San Francisco home in which she had built her life and moving back to her hometown of Seattle two years later. She had no family left, save for her eldest child who, thankfully, had done well for himself and rented them a property he owned in Seattle for way below market value.

Calliope took to Seattle immediately, having an amount of freedom to explore that should not be permitted to a child. Her mother very clearly could not care less what her daughter got involved with unless it inconvenienced her. She harbors no hard feelings towards her mother, though she doesn't try to interact with her too much anymore.

She seldom talks about her father, and has lately been trying to avoid even thinking about him. She doesn't want to think too hard about his relationship with her mother for fear of ruining the picturesque memories she has of him.

The decision to apply to Muse University was initially a friendly competitive joke with her friend Lauren. She'd been telling him he should apply for music since their sophomore year, and he somehow managed to corner her into submitting an application too.
