Upon admittance to Mt. Fukurou Academy for the Gifted, each student is given a map to not get lost on the expansive and complex school grounds.
Mt. Fukurou Academy for the Gifted lies on expansive grounds at the top of the mountain that gave the school its name. It is surrounded by a densely packed forest and a thick fence with only a single gated entrance. Out of this entrance comes a single, long winding road that leads down the mountain and to the oceanside town. The locals of this town, called Irie, avoid the mountain in the belief that it is supernatural. A large number of owls, for which the mountain is named, prowl the forest, even during the day, and rumors abound about strange creatures and sounds glimpsed by the curious. The school does nothing to negate these rumors with its strict no visitor policy and tall, almost mansion - like buildings. These buildings include the Main Building, the Student Dorm, the Teacher Dorm, the Groundskeeper’s House, the Headmistress’s House, the Garage, and the Gymnasium with the area around them dotted with sports fields, a pool, a garden, and a lake.
The Entrance acts as a boundary between the school and the mundane world. It remains closed for the majority of the time, only opening on weekdays from 4pm to 10pm and on weekends from 8am to 10pm. It neighbors the Groundkeeper’s House and is maintained by the groundskeepers.
Mt. Fukurou’s lake lies close to the Entrance, but on the other side, ensuring that students only have access to it when the Entrance’s gate is open (unless accompanied by school staff). It is expansive and there are rumors that creatures dwell in the depths. A building rests on its shores, storing a few kayaks, canoes, and life vests.
This is the first building students see upon entrance. About four stories tall, it looks more like a castle than a school building. With such a long history, it is no surprise that most of the school buildings look old. However, this is a deceptive façade with the inside updated to modern standards.
The first floor is dedicated to offices, the cafeteria, the school's kitchen, and the auditorium. The offices include Student Services (which is where students can ask for tutors, customize schedules, request a room change, register new clubs, and make copies), teacher's offices (each with their own office hours to help students), Administration (which is in charge of the day to day workings of the school), and the Headmistress ' s office (also with office hours). The Auditorium is huge, large enough for almost the entire school to fit on stage and almost twice to fill the seats. The back wall of the stage opens up to reveal where the drama department constructs it's sets with large roll up doors to bring supplies in from outside. On each side of the stage lies a dressing room and waiting area. The Cafeteria has buffet - type food available for breakfast (5 am-9am), lunch (11am-2pm), and dinner (4pm- 8 pm), cooked in the kitchens only open to staff and the students of the Cooking Class and / or Club only if accompanied by a teacher.
The second floor houses the Infirmary, Student Cafe, and School Store. The Infirmary is a large room with various medical equipment with a total of ten beds that can be curtained off for privacy. This Infirmary is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to the staff and students. The nurse resides in an apartment neighboring the room, always ready to help.
If a student does not like the food offered by the cafeteria, they can go to the Student Cafe on the second floor. Students can pay for various meals that change regularly unlike the Cafeteria where food remains constant and free.
The Student Store is where students can buy a variety of things they need while living on campus like food, clothes, toiletries, and much more.
The third floor is dedicated to classrooms with a teacher's lounge. The fourth floor holds science labs, art rooms, computer labs, music rooms, and other elective and club rooms.
Connected to the Main Building by a covered pathway lies the Gymnasium. It is made of two stories, one below ground. The ground floor holds a combination volleyball and basketball court with another room dedicated to an indoor swimming pool.
The swimming pool is connected to locker rooms with bathrooms and showers.
The underground floor of the Gymnasium is a training room filled with a multitude of workout equipment. In the center of the room rests The Cage. This enclosed fighting arena is used for powers training. No one is allowed to fight without a teacher present, and no one is allowed to fight outside The Cage. It is also magically powered so that the combatant 's powers cannot spill outside its boundaries.
The Gymnasium is surrounded by multiple sports fields, including a baseball field, football field, tennis court, track, and a training course.

- Student Lounge, Mini-Library, and Laundry Room
- Teacher Dormitory
- Headmistress’s House
The Student Dormitory reaches four stories tall. The right wing holds the males’ rooms (Rooms 101-150, 201-250, 301-350) and the left hold the females’ (Rooms 151-199, 251-299, 351-399). Top floor is reserved for non-binary or genderless beings (Rooms 401-499). There are four RA rooms on each floor (Rooms 100A-D, 200A-D, 300A-D, 400A-D). The Student Lounge, Mini-Library, and Laundry Room meet in the middle.
Each apartment has a total of four bedrooms and two bathrooms with a common living room, dining room, and kitchen. The RA rooms are single rooms.
Between the right wing and left wing of the Student Dormitory, the Laundry Room is on the second floor, the Mini-Library on the third, and the Student Lounge is on the fourth.
The teachers' Dorm has two floors and co-ed. Each apartment only has one bedroom instead of four.
The Headmistress's House is a quaint cottage-like home covered in flowers and vines. Rumors abound about the inside, but as no one has seen the inside, they will remain rumors.
In the center of town lies a multiple story mall with a multitude of stores.
Sunshine's is a very popular restaurant, especially among the students and staff of Mt. Fukurou, who receive a discount. It is rumored that the owner, Kalinda, is a graduate of Mt. Fukurou.
Other shops of Irie include (but are not limited to) a flowershop, bakery, arcade, and a couple of bars for the adults.
