Diego was tracking this fucker for a week now, it was a rouge werewolf that though it could waltz it's happy ass into oak hollow without any issue, bitch has been evading him but he's finally got the fucker. It's a dark late September night, just around 3 am at night, the moon is full and there's a cold chill in the air.

Diego jumps on this idiots back and starts to wrangle him around, but the violent shaking from the werewolf that stands 7' makes them crash through a fence into what seems to be a back yard. The yard was a common area to an apartment complex further out of town on the edges, but Diego isn't paying attention as he wrestles around violently with a barking, trying to rip and snap Werewolf. Diego doesn't notice a person watching him as he stabs a large knife into the beasts chest and rips up before back down.

Pained sounds leave the thing on top of him but he pulls his knife out, blood splattering all over him and the ground, he goes for the throat next, free arm pushing the thing away as he does, keeping the snapping maw from catching his face in it's teeth. Diego takes a few short breaths as the beast before him gurgles and cries, he slowly stands up, looking at the beast as he's covered in it's blood, but then he spots a persons feet just outside his view.

Fuck.

Run...

Bare feet passed over the forest floor, leaves of gold being kicked up in the flurry of motion.

Run faster

There was no path to be found, no moonlight to stop and search for one. Only looming birch trees with bark resembling filthy bones.

There going to get you!

Harsh breathing and debris crunching was the only sounds echoing in the woods. The woman's voice seemed all encompassing, ringing high above the never ending treeline.

WAKE UP

Mismatched eyes flew open and Gabriel lurched awake from his bed. Blankets were tossed to the floor and cold sweat drenched the t-shirt he had been sleeping in. His breathing came out in ragged, gasping intervals as he brought one of his shaking hands through the mop of crimson hair. The dream had felt so vivid and real, the fear still lingering deep in his veins. As his nerves began to calm down, the wild edge in his eyes began to fade -unknown to him the vibrant rainbow sheen they had been also fading away- and heartbeat slowing to a more tolerable rate.

"Fuck" The words came out rough and abruptly from under his breath, hands rubbing down his face to wipe away the last bit of sleep in his eyes. Gabe was exhausted. For the third night in a row, this dream had been plaguing him; running through a mysterious forest at the behest of a woman's voice. He didn't even know what he was running from but that didn't matter. The feeling of having to get away was stringer than finding out what he was running from. An inquisitive meow drew his gaze to Ulrich, the long haired piebald cat sitting atop his desk and watching his human. Gabriel frowned at the feline, stripping off his sweat soaked shirt as he stood and tossing it aside to grab a grey sweater hanging at the foot of his bed.

He zipped it up quickly, hand rummaging through one of the pockets and feeling the object within. His other hand gave the cat a quick pet. He needed air. Shoes were slipped on and bedroom door was left open as Gabriel rushed through his small apartment and out the door. He didn't even stop to double-check if he locked it or not as the need to be out of that room was higher priority. It was moments later he found himself in the "backyard" of the complex. It really was just a large patch of dehydrated grass with a hibernating oak tree; the area was a Hotspot for stoners and dog owners to hang out but at three in the morning, nobody would be out.

The redhead slowed his pace to a stop just underneath the oak tree, back leaning on the sturdy trunk. He took in a deep shuddering breathe, allowing the crisp air to cool his body down significantly. There was no rhyme or reason to why the dream kept occurring but what he did know was he had work at 8 in the morning at the library and he couldn't afford to call out due to his fucking nightmares. Gabe rubbed a hand across his face again then took out the object in his pocket. It was a smooth Amethyst stone, something he carried with him for moments like this. His eyes closed shut to take some calming breathes, fingers rubbing on the purple crystal.

Just as he felt ready to return to his apartment and most likely binge some TV show till he had to work, a loud crash caused his heart to pick back up. The sight that greeted him made him blink again, wondering if this was another dream. To his disappointment, it was not. A clearly fit man with long hair weilding what looked to be chefs knife was battling a 7" tall werewolf. The entire thing looked straight out if a movie scene, Gabriel wondering if people with cameras were going to hop out and say "Cut!" but no such thing occurred. Instead he watched in horror when the man stabs the beast directly in the chest, ripping it out in a rain of scarlet then driving the same knife through its throat.

The creature made a pitiful sound, cries dying down to nothing. Gabriel couldn't help staring at the bloodied thing and feeling a sense of sadness at its death. Sadness!? He shouldn't be feeling sad for a, for a monster. A chill ran down his spine, the sense of dread made his gaze shoot up and make contact with the eyes of the man who had slayed the beast. Maybe he should be more frightened by the man who killed the monster. Gabriel wasn't going to stick around and find out if he was going to meet the same fate by those same bloody hands. He pushed away from the tree and made to flee back the way he came.

Diego had to chase him, god damn it, his feet thudded heavy on the hard ground in their steel toed work boots as he chased after, having dropped his dagger to not hurt the poor guy, because in the end he doesn't want to hurt him, all he needs to do is talk to him- tell him not to say anything and that Diego will in fact be gone in 5 minutes.

Diego reached out swiftly to the back of this guys sweater and yanked him back before covering his mouth, letting out a sigh before he started speaking in a low and scratchy voice that rumbled slightly.

"I'm not going to hurt you- I just need to know you won't blabber about this to anyone."He sounded serious, this was important for Diego to know, but his grab and hold wasn't death threat levels, he held on tight like he was grasping onto a life line, there was a slight shake to the hand that covered Gabriel's mouth.

"What you just saw was a Werewolf, this one has hurt five people and killed nine dogs, it's not a good werewolf, yes supernatural beings are real but most now are just your normal everyday folk."He rapid fire explained, trying to get the point across for the red head he held close to his chest.

The thing is however, who would believe him? the Undergroves are all a weird bunch, who would believe that one of them killed a werewolf? werewolves aren't real anyway, if Gabriel said anything he would sound like a crazy person trying to get one of the Undergroves in trouble with the law, they're all a bit odd, but monster hunters? you're out of your mind, right?

"Fuck, shit, fuck, shit" Gabriel repeated the mantra under his breath as he lurched around the corner and could see the stairs in sight. He could hear the man's heavy footfalls gaining on him closer. The stairs were just a few feet away but then he felt hands grasping at him. His sweatershirt was grabbed in one strong hand -the cheap zipper coming undone halfway- and before he could cry out, the other hand was clasped across his mouth to silence anything he may have said. Gabe gave an 'oompf' of surprise when his back met a broad torso, the sturdiness nearly knocking the wind out of him.

This was it. Murdered by a crazy monster hunter. What a way to go. His mind ran through the scenarios and he was so engorsed in how he was about die that he gave a full body flinch at the man's voice. His voice was like crushed gravel and the rumble radiated through the man's chest directly to Gabriel's back. The words he were saying just didn't make sense to him. Supernatural? There was absolutely no way. I mean, yes, he had just witnessed a werewolf getting stabbed to death but still. The whole idea was mind boggling. Gabriel tilted his head back to look up at the man but was met with his jawline instead. One blue eye and one green eye tried to get a glimpse at the man's eyes for signs of deceit but without the height, he couldn't see more than his jaw and tip of his nose.

He felt his own hard thudding rapidly, thinking of what he could do, how to get out of the situation. Then it clicked in his brain, eyes rolling as he realized he could just do what he does best. Gabe took a deep breath in through his nose then opened his mouth enough for his upper lip and teeth to get around the curvature of the bloodied palm. Within seconds, the man bit down hard on his captor while also throwing his heel backwards, aiming to kick the other man in his shin. He hoped the pain would be enough to be let go so he could make a run for his apartment.

Diego didn't flinch or squirm when he was assaulted by shin kicks and hand biting, this wasn't even close to the worst pain he's ever felt, try a troll breaking your arm. The pains till surged through his shin and hand however, he can just handle it better than most would. Diego shifted his hand that covered this guys mouth to hold on just a little tighter and firmer, the arm that held Gabe in place tightened and wrapped around his chest just a little bit more, keeping him locked into place against Diegos chest.

"Kick and bite all you want,"He commented in his crunchy and gravely voice right into his ear again, "I've had worse from seemingly cuter and from bigger." Was that Diego being playful? eh who knows really, however his face was very close and his breath ghosted over Gabes neck like a thick autumn fog, only thing was Diegos was warmer.

"All I need from you," Diego started but moved them back a sliding step by step, pulling Gabe with him as he turned his head to look where they where backing up into, "Is that you won't blab, even if the majority won't believe there are some that might ask questions on what really happened, so I need to know you'll keep quiet, one nod for yes and two for no, you agree to not say anything and I let you go, got it?" His voice the whole time was serious, but also somehow a little guiltily attractive.

Maybe it was the way he turned his head back around and spoke low into the back of Gabes head into the crown of his hair, maybe it was the feeling of being held so tight and close to this man, no one other than the gods will know, truly.

Neither the firm bite or kick to the shin dislodged the man to Gabriel's disappointment. If anything, his hands only tightened on the redhead to nearly uncomfortable levels. If they hadn't been touching beforehand, they were now; his head and back were pressed up tightly to the other. Gabe was not comfortable the higher than normal body heat compared to his chilled skin. The sweater he was wearing had been rumpled in this ordeal, zipper coming undone halfway and barely clinging onto his shoulder leaving his chest exposed. He prided himself on being able to handle himself. Men that underestimated him at the bar -seeing him as just another pretty face- had left battered and egos shredded beyond repair. But here he was, three in the fucking morning, being manhandled by this crazy monster slaying man like a sack of potatoes. To say his pride was shot is an underestimate. Another flinch went through his body when the voice was once again near his ear, breath skimming across the nape of his neck. Cuter?! Gabriel thought, bewildered, by the backhanded compliment.

A bright flush blooming on across the bridge of his nose, extending across his high cheeks and ending at the tips of his ears. The red hue was nearly identical to the red shade of his hair. Gabe could barely focus on the man's words as lips pressed into his crimson locks, feeling his body being walked backwards with the man. God, if he could headbutt him backwards he would have but the height difference would maybe let him catch his captor by the jaw. It didn't look like there was anyway out other than going along with whatever he said. He could feel a headache budding in his temple, clenching his teeth and nodding his head in a 'yes' motion as calmly as he could.

Diego hesitated for a second, paused as if he was thinking about the nod, he spoke again after being quiet.

"Once you get inside take a shower and clean this sweater,"His hands moved, the one around Gabriel's waist grabbed the bottom of the sweater and the one at his mouth quickly dashed down and grabbed the zipper, zipping the sweater back up and his hands just kinda disappeared- he was very quick it seemed, leaving to go deal with the werewolf's body and for Gabriel to deal with his newly acquired trauma :]

Diego was over by the werewolf corpse very quickly, he was still human mind you, he's just trained a lot, so it should come as no surprise that he's dragging the corpse away on the ground and listening in for anything, such as running or animals, but he's disapeared into the underbrush fairly quickly with the only thing showing sign something happened was a broken fence and blood.

Gabriel was surprised when the warm hands left his body to swiftly zip up his hoodie and then the equally warm body heat was gone as the man stepped away from him. He took several steps forward just as quick and whipped around to confront the man, face and ears almost as red as his hair, but the man was already off to go to the very dead werewolf corpse. He gaped at his actions; either he was stupidly trusting or one track minded. Gabe wasn't going to stick around and find out as he made haste to his apartment, slamming the door and locking it behind him. His back thumped against the closed door, body slowly collapsing to the hardwood. Gasps wracked his thin frame as he replaying what had happened over and over again. Everything and nothing made sense to him. A meow pulled him from his anxiety as his feline companion rubbed it's soft fur across his shins. His shaking hand reached out to pet Ulrich as the words, ...take a shower and clean this sweater, flitted through his mind and once again, a blush graced his features.

Minutes went by and he was heading to his bathroom to shower, sweater tossed in his washing machine. Only because he wanted to, not because a certain gravelly-voiced man told him so.

(Timeskip)
"Piss off." The words left Gabriel's scowling mouth well before the snickered owner could sit upon the barstool. He hadn't slept a wink the previous night. Whether it was because of his natural disposition to insomnia or the werewolf incident or the man who had pressed his body firmly behind his, the world would never know. But what everyone did know was that Gabriel was cranky as all hell, already cussing out several customers for trying to flirt with him and personally throwing out a group of teenagers trying to con him for drinks. "Oi, oi, oi~" A sultry woman's voice responded, accented ever so slightly with what seemed to be Japanese or Korean, "Is that how you speak to your lovely employer? Yes, the owner of the bar was a beautifully slender woman -standing tall and leggy like a model- with nearly white hair covering her eye and dressed in a blood red "modern" kimono-inspired dress. Her words clearly held no malice and were spoken teasingly him.

He narrowed his eyes at her as he finished cleaning the glass in his hands and setting it carefully in it's designated spot. Unlike the covered clothing he normally wore at his day time jobs, his evening gig as a bartender required a different attire. A dark blue camisole hugged his frame, covered with a baggy off the shoulder crop top -mocha in color- was paired with low riding black shorts. The shorts in question were quite short with a shredded bottom hems, advertising his long legs. While he would rather not be so exposed, Sayuri "insisted" her staff follow the dress code to help bring in business. Gabriel laid his hands on the bar top to lean over it slightly and meet his boss's gaze easily, "Yes. Yes, it is." Unknown to him, his normally mismatched eyes flashed a glistening myriad of colors like a jewel before going back to normal. Sayuri raised her eyes in amusement at it but shrugged her shoulders in defeat and placed on arm on the counter, hand propped up to hold her chin and survey her loud, busy club.

"Why tonight?" Diego questioned as his best friend Clark pushed him through the door with zero effort, damn werewolves and their fucked up strength, Clark, his wife Tabitha, their friend Ronald and Twain are all excited and ignoring the face Diego would rather not be here in this club, but he's also here.

Diego has no idea how Clark and Twain can be here, they're both werewolves who love this place, so much noise and sound, honestly Diego can hardly think. Diego is dressed up in his usual shit, he has a leather jacket thrown over his plaid and has a t-shirt under that, dark jeans and some boots.

"I'll go get us drinks,"He offers, not looking to the bar before he agrees to go, but when he sees who is there, the poor red head from that early morning he let's out a sigh to himself, shuffling through the crowd, he taps the bar top and nods a little, his hair is long and no longer pulled back, so it hides majority of his scars on his face.

"Can I get a miller lite, a Moscow mule, and two Manhattans." That was an assortment of drinks for fucking sure.

((Sorry, midterm week just ended but I'm here now))
Sayuri perks up slightly at the appearance of a man whom she recognizes. The resemblance to of the Blackwood family was undeniable and she only gave a wandering eye to the hunter. She tilted her gaze slightly to eye Gabriel, eyebrows shooting up at his reaction. The redhead had just finished listening to some young ladies ask for another round of Long Island ice teas, clearly on the verge of "too drunk to pay", when Diego approached him. On insinct alone, the hairs on the back of his neck rose up. The man not only showed up at his apartment complex but now he was at his place of work. The coincidences were piling up too much for his tastes. After the intial shock wore off, Gabe quickly mixed up three Long Island iced teas and placed them in front of the girls, giving them his usual customer smile that didn't reach his eyes and put there money in the till. Once finished, he started mixing the manhattans with practiced hands and without looking at Diego, he spoke "If you're stalking me, quit it." The Manhattens were finished easily and set aside for him to work on the Moscow Mule "Even if I told anyone about last night, I'd rather not be called crazy anymore than I already am." Sayuri nearly laughed but covered it with a chest cough. That didn't stop Gabriel from glaring at her intently. As much as she wanted to know what had hapenned last night between the two, the kitsune decided it better to give him some privacy and left her perch to wade through the crowd back to the VIP section.

He gave a sigh of relief, finishing the Moscow Mule just as quick as the Manhattans and proceeded to fetch the Miller Lites. Beer was in the three mini fridges placed on the floor of the back wall. You either had to awkwardly squat or bend over to grab them for customers. In that moment, he felt oddly concious dowing either of those things in front of the man and a flush appeared on the tips of his ears. His descision was blessedly put off at the appearance of another girl begging him for a Green Tea shot. Gabriel turned to the woman to start making that, observing her general state of intoxication. She seemed relatively aware of her surrondings still if how her stormy grey eyes were eyeing up Diego like a five-course meal was any sort of giveaway. Her posture changed so that she was leaning on the counter in a way to emphasize her bosom in a shredded crop top and arching her back to look inviting. Gabe had seen the action many times, a couple times he was on the recieving end, but he had a job to do so he continued mixing the shot for the girl.

"My friends dragged me here, it's the most popular nightclub for a reason,"Diego shrugged with both hands resting lightly on the counter, "I'm the sober driver for them tonight, didn't know you worked here."He answered loud enough for Gabriel to hear it over all the noise, but quiet enough for no one to get the wrong idea. Diego took note of Sayuri leaving with a glance to her direction but made no other comment. Diego just wanted to get the drinks to his friend, please just grab the beer and make him pay? Diego isn't in the mood to even be here.

Diego shifted a few very small steps away from the girl, but gave a little wave and polite nod down as a hello, an awkward white person smile on his face as he watched her face before looking away, the hand he had raised to wave sat back down to the bar counter, the tips of his fingers tapping like he was playing the piano, kinda badly but still, looks like Diego has a nervous stim. Diego only acknowledged her when she tried to strike up conversation.

"Sorry, I'm just getting some drinks for my friends, waiting on the beer-"He lifted his hand up and pushed the hair from his face to show his scars, seems like he uses them as a card to get out of shit like this, "Don't think I'm the Casanova you're looking for tonight,"He only looked at this lady in the face and eyes, they didn't wonder or roam, "Sorry." He let his hair drop back down over his right side of his face and turned his head to look more or less straight in front of himself, clearly in the hopes she would leave him alone.
