Monsters Have Pets, They're Called Humans.

"There you are!" Tero said, one of his hands floating to Kiara. "Are you alright? I think we should get going, something tells me that creature will attract more of it's kind."

Kiara hopped on and fussed around, trying to get the sand off her. "Can you get new clothes for me when we get home?" she asked quietly, she looked tired and worn out. She clearly didn't look like she'd survive another run like this.

"Sure." Tero said. "I forgot to put a bath with a curtain and some sort of restroom in your cage. And I also forgot to give you something for privacy."

Kiara merely nodded, going limp in his hand as she dozed off, too exhausted to even move. She was a young child after all, and this stressful situation robbed her of all her strength.

Tero quietly floated back to his cave and put Kiara in her bed. Now he had to go get some new clothes for her. He exited and searched for a portal, this time one to a village. He found one conveniently near his house and went into it, stole some of the village's clothes, and went back to Kiara with a lot of clothes. The clothes was either too big or the right size.

Kiara slept for hours, when she woke up she felt and looked a lot better than before. She didn't sleep that well ever before. She smiled as she saw Tero returning with new clothes and asked him to take her to a river so she could clean herself and the now sandy sheets of her bed. Seeing that he wasn't dangerous at all when it came to her she was a lot more comfortable around him.

"Sure, we can go to the river." Tero said, taking the sheets and blankets off Kiara's bed. "How did you get so sandy in a plains biome that was covered in snow?"

"I was soaked from the snow, and when the snow disappeared I was laying on tundra ground" she replied, climbing on one of his hands. "The snow monster didn't get me!" she said, smiling proudly.

Tero decided not to question it more, and floated to the nearest river. Though the most of a river they had was a run-off, it still works.

Kiara climbed off his hand and stripped down before she went to the river and cleaned her body. She looked quite relieved when all the dirt was off her skin and she changed into a clean set of clothes. "Thank you, Tero" she said, giving him a small smile.

"You're my pet, why wouldn't I take care of you?" Tero said, washing the sheets and cleaning the sand out of them.

"I would still take care of you if you were food, you're too scrawny to be worth eating." Tero said jokingly.

Kiara giggled and returned onto his hand, hugging his fingers with a happy smile. To her kind and other monsters he was a killing machine as it seemed, but to her he was nothing but a gentle giant.

"Well, we're done washing stuff, what do you want to do while we wait for it to dry?" Tero asked.

"I definitely don't want to go through an ice portal!" she replied, sitting down on his palm. "You said you want to teach me tricks"

"Well, sure! What kind of magic do you want to learn?" Tero asked. "Though depending on what magic you want to learn, we may need to search for a specific monster or area."

"What kind of magic is there?" she asked, tilting her head in childish curiosity. Being a human she was completely oblivious to anything connected to magic.

"There's Fire, Water, Nature, Stone, Electricity, Ice, Holy, Unholy, and Healing." Tero said. "Though what ability you get is random, you'll still get an ability of that element,"

Kiara seemed to be thinking again. For a pet owner he was being very generous, he gave her a choice in anything, even in what she'd learn. She didn't feel like a pet at all. "I like flowers a lot, so maybe nature?" she asked as she looked at him again.

"Sure, so we either need to find the heart of a forest or plains, or slay a Rafflesia." Tero said. "Though if we were strong enough we could take on Mother Nature, but that'll take a while. Choose an option."

"What is a Rafflesia?" she asked, tilting her head again. She was too cute when she was confused. "And what do you mean by take on Mother Nature?"

"A Rafflesia is a giant flower monster." Tero said. "By 'take on mother nature,' I mean we can actually fight Mother Nature when we become strong enough."

"Isn't Mother Nature supposed to be honored instead of fought?" she asked, remembering stories the elders liked to tell, about natural spirits and Mother Nature.

"To some people, yeah." Tero said. "But she is immortal, so you can't kill her. and if somebody is strong enough to defeat Mother Nature, they'd definitely be celebrated."
