Imagine Gate - Thus the JSDF Fought There!, but with a bit darker take. The gate is located in Time Square, a similar army comes through the gate, and the mass murder of New Yorkers and tourists takes place. The US government has their hands tied trying to control the aftermath. Hundreds of online media appear of the Time Square Slaughter. Various countries demand a proper response from US government. During the frenzy of international disputes a company steps in with an offer to the US government, "Sell us the Gate."
Through some means the two come to an agreement. The gate is now on private property sanctioned by the US Government. The Company and its affiliates handle the media. While the upper executives work over and under the table with various governments worldwide. After much discussion various deals are struck and the world settles down once again. But for the Company, their plans have only just begun.
Several PMCs had been contacted with a few following through and entering the Gate. This happened soon after the US government handed over the Gate. Of the four contracts, three were terminated due to unforeseen circumstances. The world on the other side of the Gate had sent a small reconnaissance force through to test our world. We viewed it as a large occupying vanguard composed of their best soldiers and leaders. The US National Guard had their hands fulls with losses statistically equivalent to another world power invading the US.
Only one PMC had gone through prepared. The world on the other side was not a savage one. Their tactics may have seemed so, but the strategic minds behind their armies were not to be taken lightly. But the PMC, Specter, didn't pull punches.
Your character will be part of an elite fireteam tasked with exploring the world on the other side, WOTOS. Within Specter you are a unique entity that answers to the Founder and only the Founder. No rules, only results.
Possible subplots will follow if there is interest.
