Justice RIDES AGAIN!!!
Aaron Mallory
Location: Stairwell.
Nearby: Page Morgan, at last! And here come the kids!
Mood: It's almost showtime!
@s: @Mini T-Rex Syndrome
Aaron slips his phone back in his pocket and starts down the stairs. Page Morgan is hovering on the landing looking out the window towards McNabb's car. He had failed to notice her previously while focusing not fat-fingering his keypad, but he just catches her last statement, a plea that the weirdo out the window is somebody else's weirdo.
“Ah! Good Morning, Ms. Morgan! I'm afraid that IS in fact, our own Allen McNabb. I recognize his car. I was just pausing to text him to hurry up so we can join forces this morning.”
He pauses, trying to remember why he had been looking for her. Snow day plans, that was it!
“Oh! I remember now! I was thinking: we aren't likely to have a full complement of students this morning with the impending weather. Days like this have always struck me as an excellent time to try some less, ah, traditional lessons.” Imagining he sees dull embers of suspicion spark into flame behind her eyes, he hurries onward lest she literally burst into flames. “Naturally, I'd want your input, but what would you think about a good old fashioned game of hide and seek? Stealth can be quite useful for a working blue card, and is not, obviously, a strong point for most of our students OR staff. If you are not totally swamped, perhaps you'd like to be the base judge? I was thinking that the security office would be an excellent base, to ensure nobody cheats by peeking at the monitors there.” He hesitated. She probably had work of her own to do...
“Of course, if you're busy... Or perhaps if you have a better idea? What sorts of 'snow day' games would you recommend? My first thought was of a snowball fight, but I rejected it out of hand; too chaotic. Too messy. Somebody could get hurt. Hide and seek though... safe as houses, eh?”
He gave her a winning smile; hard to do when blurred by gravity like identity protection software, but he couldn't help trying.
