He would spend most of his informative years on the dreadnought Pheonix. His parents instilled beliefs in him that he would always keep loyalty, honor, and self reliance.

When it was his time to enlist he did. His military career was uneventful until the battle of Torfan where his commanding officer sent him and his men to their deaths to end a Braterian invasion. Alliance Profile Iwo Jima crew roster.

Name: Kali'sora vas Iwo Jima

Rank: Specialist

Species: Quarian Female

Age: 25 (Official)

Class: Infiltrator

Skills: (ME3) Tactical Cloak, Sticky Grenade, Sabotage, Quarian Defender, Fitness

Appearance: Black toned environmental suit with silver accents along with matching shawl and custom cloak. Dark tinted mask with white lighting effects. Slender with medium height and below average weight.

Weapons: Scorpion (Mod: Pistol Ultralight Materials and Pistol Power Magnifier) and M-12 Locust (SMG High Calibar Barrel and SMG Scope)

History: The past of Kali'sora vas Iwo Jima, or simply Kali, is unknown to most, those who knew her as a child number very few and none speak of Kali loosely, she is the end product of one of the Migrant Fleet's darker projects. When a people are forced to roam the dangerous and unsettled regions of space they must adapt or cease to exist. In the end Kali adapted, the rest of her group not so much, and the flotilla continued on.

What the somber Kali had done in the name of her people she does not speak of and whatever scars the quarian bares remains hidden under the dark tint of her face mask and environmental suit. In the culture of the quarians, where families are very close-knit, Kali was alone..not out of malice or disfavor, but of fear. With all of her immediate family dead, or missing, and the members of Kali's mothership all but avoiding her, it seemed she had done too well of a job becoming a sword.

So when the Alliance proposed a cross species crew for the Iwo Jima the elders of the flotilla suggested Kali and she had accepted without pause. Perhaps she could find solace with other species since she was so very alien to her own people.

Vorge.png

Name / Rank:
Ganar Vorge / Alliance Marines Staff Sergeant (former Shaman in-training of Clan Ganar)

Species:
Korgan Male

Age:
786

Class:
Adept

Skills (ME3):
Barrier
Warp
Shockwave
Krogan Berserker
Rage

Weapons:
M-300 Claymore shotgun
M-6 Carnifex heavy pistol

History:
Like any self-respecting Krogan, Vorge grew up as a stubborn, selfish and yet deeply loyal member of his Clan. They say nothing quite beats experience and Vorge certainly earned a good deal of that as a mercenary within the Blood-pack legion. Following his sire-father Wrang's death and his sibling Yulaz inheriting the legion. Various hired pirates, thugs and Blood pack muscle all tried to kill off Vorge to ensure Yulaz's rise to power within the Clan and despite rising to the challenge time and time again, Vorge knew he would eventually fall to their increasing number of attacks on his life.

Using his reputation as an experienced warrior and the typical Krogan ability to make things very dead, very quickly, Vorge enlisted with the Alliance to enjoy the Marine's life of ship boarding, pirate busting and cocktail bar demolition. A couple years have passed and he's much better adjusted to the formal military lifestyle and taking a more human approach for responsibility for himself and his actions.

Name/Rank: Ryn'Mavir vas Thamlus/Specialist

Species: Quarian Male

Age: 43

Class: Vanguard

Skills: Marksman, Biotic Grenades, Reave, Quarian Defender, Fitness

Appearance: As with most of the Quarian race, Ryn is known by his suit, not his face. He wears a pretty standard Quarian environmental suit in earth tones, with the metal showing usually a bronze or brass color. He wears a chest rig with some extra pouches. Over this is a dark brown leather long coat, with a fur collar of an off-white color. Working in the tubes and wires coming out the back of his helmet and connecting to the back of his suit are some feathers and braids made up of roping material, giving it a messy ponytail vibe.

Weapons: Sidewinder Pistol, M-37 Falcon Assault Rifle

History:
To get to know Ryn'Mavir, you first have to understand his ship, the Thamlus. The Thamlus was an old Turian warship that the Quarians bought and retrofitted to serve in the Migrant Fleet. Since then, the Thamlus gained a reputation of brutality. Many planets in both Council Space and the Terminus systems know the Thamlus as a fair and honest trading partner. It's crew specialized in the re-purposing and customization of technology from civilian farming equipment, to small arms, and even space vessels. Where the brutality comes in is when someone tries to double cross or take advantage of them. Any harm done to the Thamlus or the Migrant Fleet, the ship's crew is prepared to repay tenfold. And because of the outmatched and vulnerable nature of the Quarian people, the crew of the Thamlus at times employ tactics and measures considered unsavory by many. Because of the Thamlus's reputation and perceived duty to the fleet, the crew followed the example of the Solarian STG and the Council's Spectres in the creation of a group that could act with the authority to do what was necessary to safeguard the ship and the fleet. These agents were called Outriders.
Ryn'Mavir was one such Outrider. Before he was born, he was exposed to a element zero leak his mother tried to seal. She saved the ship and was able to bring Ryn to term, but passed away after child birth. He was found to be biotic by his father, who convinced the captain to help the young quarian develop his powers. The implants nearly did him in, but Ryn'Mavir survived and learned to use his biotics well. His Pilgrimage saw him spend time in a small turian mercenary group, making contacts in the Terminus Systems. His gift to the Thamlus to become part of her crew was a weapon stockpile and his contacts. While he at first seemed to settle in as a supply officer aboard the Thamlus, he became aware that the engine leak that had given him his biotics rendered him sterile. Without the ability to provide children to help carry on the Quarian legacy, Ryn ended his relationship with one of the Thamlus's pilots, and put in for off ship duty. His willingness to risk his life so other quarians won't have to and his expertise with dealing with other races made him a prime candidate for the Outriders. With some additional training, he was sent out to protect his people's interests. For the next decade, he worked in the Terminus system, negotiating deals, doing favors for trade partners, and dealing with problems as they rose. He learned to live by his wits and charm as he rubbed shoulders with gangsters, small politicians, law enforcement, and merchants. He spent most of his time away from the ship and flotilla, but always took a keen interest in the Quarians that he met, helping young quarians on their pilgrimage secure worthy gifts for their new ships.
In recent times, Ryn has taken an interest in humanity.

Name/Rank: Attyka T'Faun, Flight Lieutenant

Species: Asari

Age: 132

Class: Sentinel

Skills: Tech Armor, Energy Drain, Singularity, Asari Valkyrie, Fitness

Weapons: M-4 Shuriken, M-90 Indra

History: Attyka T'Faun was the result of an encounter of a young asari commando and a fresh faced turian soldier. Neither had expected anything long lasting from the fling, but with Attyka's arrival, both parents committed to a live together. While Attyka's mother, Leena, left military service to pursue other interests, her father Janus remained in the military for the vast majority of his life. His sense of duty and pride rubbed off on Attyka, causing her to join up as soon as she could. She washed out of Commando training due to her below average biotics, but her technical aptitude and love of flying saw her redirect her life to being a combat pilot.
While Attyka was still in training, Janus was forced to retire due to his advanced age. But the old war horse always found ways back aboard turian military vessels one way or another. He was aboard a frigate as a civilian observer when the First Contact War broke out. The ship he was on was listed as one of the first destroyed in the conflict. Janus's death deeply affected Attyka, who directed all her anger into pushing through her training so she could fight back this new menace that had taken her father. But in what felt like a instant to Attyka, peace was declared and the rest of the council races seemed ready to try to work with these humans.
For the next few decades, Attyka's hatred of humans softened. While they were still headstrong, entitled lot, they were showing that they could be a valuable ally. She was approached specially about a new task force the Systems Alliance was putting together to build more cooperation between humanity and the other races. With naysayers on both sides of this, it was important to get people affected by the war to show support for it. With some coaxing from her mother, Attyka agreed to join the task force as a shuttle pilot. Despite some lingering negative feelings, Attyka joins the crew of the Iwo Jima to hopefully guide the humans to their place among the races and to bury a few ghosts.

HOLY CRAP, BATMAN! That's detailed! I'm suddenly feeling very inept.

HOLY CRAP, BATMAN! That's detailed! I'm suddenly feeling very inept.
I’ve used this character before and have fiddled with him a lot. Most of the backstory is a copy and paste from a file I made awhile ago.
Don’t worry about that feeling. I tend to over analyze, thus tend to over explain things. As time goes on, you’ll learn how in-depth is comfortable for you.

Daragh.png

History:

Daragh was born on Earth in Ireland. At a young age he moved with his parents to the colony of Eden Prime as part of the first wave of colonists. Both of his parents were doctors in the Alliance navy. His mother served with the Colonial ground forces at the establishment of the colony on Eden Prime, and was a local leader for the first wave of colonists, many of who came from Ireland. She remained planetside, whilst her husband continued a career in the Alliance Navy. He served aboard a cruiser in the Second Fleet during the First Contact war and was killed in action on board the SSV Dhaka during the liberation of Shanxi.

Daragh, like his mother, was devastated at the loss of his father, and he promised he would follow in his footsteps. He graduated medical school on Earth and signed up with the alliance Navy. He served aboard the SSV Agincourt during the Skyllian Blitz. From there he served on board the SSV Einstein before being promoted to Major in the Medical Corps and assigned to the cruiser Iwo Jima as chief medical officer on board

History

Natalia was born on Elysium into a family of farmers. She is the first and only daughter of the Rukhlina family situated in the low alpine regions on the Elysium planet. Growing up on a farm her dream was always to become a veterinarian to take care of the farm animals. However, as a young adult she was pulled by the wanderlust of the stars and instead joined the medical officer corps after graduating from medical school. Her first posting was on board the SSV Madrid however, as soon as she heard of a position on the Iwo Jima she applied immediately. Her speciality in Alien Physiology worked hugely in her favour and was granted a transfer to work under her new Chief Daragh.

Iwo Jima Crew
For the NPCs that fill the Iwo Jima crew this will constantly be updated. If anyone wants to play them they can

Captain Juan Lopez: born in Spain a decade before the mass relay was discovered.

Comander Marcus Rechs: Bravo team Squad leader. Considered the old man on the ship being well over seventy and still a ground soldier. Some speculation is that the man could easily be the Admirial of a Alliance Navy but chooses to deny promotions. Wanting to serve where it matters with the grunts and not the "politican ass kissers".

Chief petty officer Lila Scott: Chief engineer. A prodigy of a mechanic being only twenty five and chief engineer.
