Age: 36
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Race: Turian
Class: Vanguard

Homeworld: Palaven

Gear:

  • Savant VIII Biotic Amp

Weapon/s:
  • M-96 Mattock
  • M-12 Locust
  • M-77 Paladin

Training:

  • Combat Training
  • Medical Training
  • Espionage Training
Career History:
  • Turian Military: 3 years
  • Turians Special Ops: 12 Years
  • Spectre: 6 Years
  • Fought in the Battle of the Citadel
  • Stopped a plot to destroy Palaven

Personality: Nero is an extremely unique Turian. She is a jokester at heart and her comedy ranges from sarcasm, pranks and dark humor. Besides her humor, she is typically calm, cool and collected with a low temper. It takes an extreme amount to piss her off and cause her lid to pop. On top of her calm and joking personality, Nero is extremely caring and kind. She is willing to help anyone, no matter how small of a problem said person is experiencing. Nero will do anything for her friends, and is willing to sacrifice herself before them. She's a skilled diplomat, always wanting to end things as peaceful as possible. Lastly Nero values justice and honor above many things, and despises greed and selfishness.

Role: Commanding Officer

Background Intel: Nero was born on Palaven to your typical Turian family. They were a military family with high standards and wishes. Nero was almost immediately destined to join the military due to her father's and older brother's wishes. She did not oblige and even met this desire from her family as a challenge. Nero would train, even as a small child to fulfill her families wish. Whether it be firearms, hand to hand combat or even Biotics, yes, Nero had biotics. This was a rarity in Turian civilization, but not completely taboo or looked down upon. It was another asset Nero was gifted with in her pursuit to join the military.

At the age of 15 Nero joined the Turian Military and was put into bootcamp. Bootcamp lasts a year long for Turians, and after Nero successfully graduated she was put into a field unit. Nero was extremely disciplined, but found time to joke around with her fellow soldiers. While serving she displayed extreme acts of courage, leadership, initiative and creativity. Due to this she was suggested for Turian Special Forces, instead of the Cabals. At the age of 18, and after yet another year of training she joined Turian Special Forces.

Nero would serve faithfully for 12 years as a member of Turian Special Forces and achieved the rank of High Commander. With the rank she had her own squad of Special Forces and looked over a Platoon of other Special Forces. In these 12 years, Nero became quite a celebrity on Palaven for her commitment to her job. She was an efficient leader that tended to get things done with elegance and precision. While serving as High Commander, she uncovered a plot that risked all of Palaven. A group of Turian radicals within the military were plotting to set off various nuclear bombs on Palaven and demand that the Citadel Council find a cure for the Krogan's Genophage. Nero disagreed with the use of the genophage, and even despised it, she knew that this was not the way to obtain a cure and that countless lives were at stake. So, she infiltrated this group of radicals, and arrested the group of traitors. While the Turian Hierarchy swept the incident under the rug, they did recommend her to the Citadel Council as a candidate for SPECTRE.

Nero successfully joined the Spectre's and became a weapon for the Citadel Council. She was proud to see herself achieve a goal that many do not, and while she soon came to dislike being one, she served faithfully. While being a Spectre, Nero uncovered many plots from assassination to experimentation and quickly put an end to all of them. She became a rather well known Spectre, one that would be honorable and keep her word. After five years of being a Spectre, the Battle of the Citadel occurred. Nero held off many geth, and proved to be a crutch for keeping the Citadel and Council alive. Her previous experiences in leadership and war played in Nero's favor as she held off Geth and the various other members of Saren's army at a critical choke point. Nero lost her left arm in this battle, a sacrifice she made in order to save those fighting with her and to hold off the advancing enemy.

Due to her heroics and abilities, the Citadel Council transferred Nero over to a new Task Force, one that was to investigate the work of a Scientist and his creations...

Career History:

  • On original Normandy Design Team
  • Participated in what was described on a report after the battle of the citadel as "A modern example of siege defense against an AI force"
  • Helped in Citadel rebuilding efforts
Personality:
Gwyn is an obsessive technological genius who never stops moving. As her mother said, she was born in a storm and must've gotten a bit of lighting stuck in her brain. Quick moving and quick thinking, Gwyn never does things by a half and tends to get obsessed with projects and ideas easily. This obsession translates externally into an immense and immediately obvious passion for everything she loves and an unabashed hatred for what she doesn't. She learns quickly and moves quicker and never stops for anything besides a quick cup of tea. One thing that tends to annoy those around her though, she never stops talking. With no brain to mouth filter, Gwyn verbalizes near everything she thinks, often ignoring any social cues to do otherwise. even when told to be quiet her chatter doesn't stop, its just reduced to a mumble. And the combination of her curiosity and lack of filter can be quite dangerous. Her biggest flaw, however, is the massive chip on her shoulder. From Albinism, to her age, to inexperience, Gwyn has a fight to pick and everyone knows it. She loathes put downs and people thinking she's incompetent due to her age or other factors. This translates to a perfectionist outlook and a dangerous amount of work ethic, at the cost of health and outside interaction.
Role: Head Ship and Field Engineer
Background Intel:
Gwyn was born with Albinism on a planet known for its intense proximity to the sun, which was not a fun childhood. Often locked away and secluded from any form of sunlight to avoid the severe burns she got in even short exposures, she found solace in the scraps of her fathers work. The colony was a scientific one and with plenty of iteration and experimentation going on, the often unsupervised child quickly became a self taught engineer and programmer, who by her tenth birthday was making drones that impressed even the senior technicians of the facility. Something had to be done with her, and when she was thirteen that opportunity came. A passing quarian on his pilgrimage took a liking to her, and with her parents permission and blessing he took her on as a passenger. She took to his ship like a second home and before their journey was over she knew it better then the back of her hand.
The quarian dropped her off at the citadel where she was accepted with a full scholarship into the council academy of engineering. She flourished academically, if not socially at the school, only becoming friends with a small clique of salarians who were the same age as her, as they were the only ones who didn't belittle her age. Due to her amazing academic record (and need of money) she was accepted to intern in the construction of the SSV Normandy, though despite her wishes the alliance denied her application to be aboard, citing the, completely fair, fact that she was not military and had no experience. She returned to study at the university, and defended its campus with numerous drones when the citadel attacked, saving many lives. Though she was mostly successful, she lost what few friends she had, and many more mentors that day, and was left traumitized by the experience. Her need to suppress her pain with work overcame her and she pursued weapons and armor training, soon becoming a fully trained combat engineer under the systems alliance. This put her back on the radar when a new ship needed a head mechanic.

Background Intel: A pureblood born to farmers in an agrarian colony on Asteria, her status was never an issue due to the remoteness of the colonies and the seditary nature of the colonist leaving precious little options for them. Life was hard enough as the planet with high temperature even at the poles where the colonies were and the work required on the farm. However it was soon discovered she was a biotic, rare for those of the colonies and a powerful one as that. The local huntress noted this and offered her a place in their ranks when she was of age. In that time she got into writing and had moderately successful side gig as a crime writer in her spare time.

Things changed at the battle of the Citadel, her combat experience meant she was sent to aid the c-sec security task force holding off the the geth in the Presidium. She served well but was injured in the process and spend several months in the infirmary. When she got out, she found out that her superiors, looking to raise the prestige of C-Sec, recommended her to the Council for a Specter status. She was angry at her bosses for that and was uncertain if she wanted to join happy enough at her present position but she felt pressured to go along with it. She was requested to join a task force headed by a Specter to a investigate a scientist as test for her suitability as a Specter.

Career History:
STG (Special Task Group) - 15 years.
Spectre candidate.
Had a 90% mission success rate...or so he says since he cannot give specifics

Personality:
Like many Salarian's, Zarik has an extremely analytical mind and a photographic memory, traits which served him extremely well in his role as a STG. He is also very intelligent and skilled at making logical deductions. As a person, however, Zarik is skeptical, somewhat removed and occasionally sarcastic, and it takes others a long time to earn his trust, let alone his friendship. However, he is an extremely driven individual who never allowed his personal opinions and feelings get in the way of his job. Unfortunately, he is sometimes noted for pushing himself and others too far during missions, which makes him difficult to work with sometimes. Though it is not outwardly noticeable, Zarik has a very strong sense of duty and honor.

Because of his morals, he developed a very strong "by the book" viewpoint, which is believed to be the reason why he did not join extralegal teams such as Spectres. In addition, Zarik is a firm believer in discipline and organization, which is why he initially joined the STG. Like all salarians, Zarik possesses a high-speed metabolism, which allows him to function on just one hour of sleep a day.

Role:

Espionage and sabotage while in the field.
Scientist while out of the field.

Background Intel:

Zarik was born into a lesser branch of the powerful Olus clan on the Salarian Planet of Gorot II . At that time, the main bloodline of the Narra clan headed the Salarian Union as its de facto leaders. His mother Dalatrass, though less important than her distant Olus cousins, was matriarch of several thousand Salarians herself, so naturally not a very involved mother. Zarik was raised primarily by his uncle Tadik, a military man with a service record in the Special Tasks Group, the infamous Salarian intelligence organization. It was Tadik who encouraged Zarik to pursue a similar career.

Zarik entered the STG as a cadet at the age of eight along with a handful of his brothers. He quickly proved adept at the work, and outstripped his siblings as he rose through the ranks.

When he graduated training at the age of nine, Zarik was assigned to an espionage and sabotage unit whose mission was to collect intel and execute counterterrorism measures against the hostile Terminus Systems. Most of his career was spent with this unit and his experiences in the Terminus Systems would probably make for some great stories…if they weren’t highly classified.

After his return from the Terminus systems, Zarik was called to another duty, this one was to his clan. His mother had negotiated a contract to interbreed with the main line of the Olus clan, to strengthen clan ties that had weakened over generations and Zarik had been chosen to bear this responsibility.

Zarik had no interest in the politics that came with reproduction, but he had little choice when his mother dictated the terms of the contract. The agreement raised Zarik to a position of respect within his clan that he wasn’t entirely sure he wanted. He preferred military service to politics any day, and soon after he fulfilled his duty to the clan sought reassignment somewhere far away with the STG.

After his honorable discharge from the STG, Zarik was offered an opportunity to join the Spectres, the elite tactics and reconnaissance operatives that answered solely to the Citadel Council. However, Zarik suspected the offer was a political ploy by his distant Olus cousin, Citadel Councilor Valern, and declined. Zarik wanted no part in his clan’s feud with the Dalatrass.

At the age of 23, just as the prime of youth for a Salarian fades, Zarik could have retired, but retirement wasn’t really his style. He would much rather live out his remaining years making use of his skills so while he left STG

KNBKPVS.jpg

Gear:

-Prodigy amp
-Custom kinetic barrier

Weapon/s:
-M-5 Phalanx
-"Bialan Scythe" sword.
-Tactical collapsible staff

Training: Combat.

Career History:
Dorathea began her career like a sadly large number of Asari do, as part of a mercenary crew. Though in her defense, she actually was encouraged to do this by her parents as a means of escaping to a better life that they couldn't give her. This continued for a long time and she was quite happy with the arrangement. After she was kicked out of the Tsumi Reavers, she was allowed entry into a circle of Huntresses. Having been born outside of Asari space and not selected from a younger age, she was given special dispensation by the lead Huntress. She served her duties and was honorably discharged. Her current profession is as a teacher aboard the Citadel. What kind of teacher? Well much like the Consort, the actual nature of her lessons varies from student to student. For some its history or theology. Her favorite thing to teach though is her centuries worth of martial arts and attached philosophy.

Personality: Dorathea is amicable and very spiritual. She always advises someone look to whatever faith is attached to their culture for answers or guidance. Which frustrates some as they're looking to her to provide answers rather than re-direct them back to "fables and superstitions" that don't satisfy them. She herself though can understand their frustration. Dorathea also longs for the transcendent and tries to look for objects or people of mystical import. She's by no means a pacifist, in fact, she loves to fight. Though not out of a sense of competition, which might seem strange to those who spar with her. She loves the challenge of combat but doesn't care for "winner and loser" or the question of "who is better?" For her, no such arbitrary distinction exists. It's mutual learning to her, more than sport.

Role: Dorothea's biotics are about average for her people, but because of her various forms of training, what she lacks in raw potency, she makes up for in concentrated force. She may not be able to lift something heavy with a wave of her hand, but few can knock a Krogan flat on his ass with one punch. Because of her agility and biotically enhanced speed (combine biotic charge with parkour), Dorothea is best suited for asymmetrical tactics. Of course, when it comes right down to it, Dorothea would rather fight opponents up close. In that particular field, there are few who can match her.

Background Intel: Dorothea was born on Omega shortly after Aria T'Loak started consolidating her position as the head of a criminal empire. Even though Aria's supporters claimed she "kept order" it was only in so much as the crime that did happen didn't rock the boat. Both her parents struggled, both to keep a roof over their heads but also to raise enough money for their daughter to have a better life than either of them did. After being assaulted one night by a batarian and barely fending off the attacker with her biotics, both Dorothea's parents started teaching her self-defense. Her mother was a powerful biotic and her father was a turian veteran. Dorothea took to the training with enthusiasm. It became more than self-defense, it was a passion and something she could share with her parents. Her father was even schooled in Turian combat by champion fencing and taught her to sword fight.

Things changed when some other asari came around looking for recruits for a mercenary company. Both Dorothea's parents encouraged her to enlist because it would get her off Omega. With a tearful goodbye Dorathea left to join this startup crew. She promised her father in particular that she would return.

Despite the bittersweet departure, Dorathea enjoyed this time as it let her indulge in the passion and training she had without the threat of crime or being "noticed" by Aria. Dorathea made friends with Reavis M'lanar, the unofficial leader of the outfit, despite the fact that she was older by a century or two. Dorathea never had an older figure she could look up to besides her own mother. She loved her father but there was the inescapable truth that he was a Turian, both her and her mother would outlive him. Yet here was Reavis, this matron asari of such strength taking a personal interest in a young maiden like her.

Dorathea and Reavis came up with a name for the group together, the Tsumi Reavers. Tsumi being Dorathea's favorite animal. (A native Thessian ocean predator similar to an Earth ray.) And Reavis, both because of the similarity to her name and because it sounded intimidating. For the first few years, the Tsumi Reavers became Dorathea's home and family. Flying around Asari space, the Terminus system, and parts of Citadel space fighting Batarian pirates, Krogan enforcers of Volus criminal cartels, and other merc groups. At every opportunity, Dorathea unleashed a flurry of biotically enhanced techniques. She felt like the heroes she had grown up with, Justicar Mui'a, Warlord Rokor, Opivius Quaril, all legends known for their fighting skills.

The other Tsumi Reavers noticed this penchant and were impressed with her skills. They thought maybe she should lead, Dorathea waved off the opportunity, directing them back to Reavis. Although her position seemed secure, Reavis could sense the others respect for Dorathea beginning to eclipse her own. Their relationship started to take a turn. Dorathea's precocious admiration was exploited. Subtly at first, Reavis starting to treat Dorathea less like an equal and more like a subordinate in more than just rank and belittling her in front of the others, knowing that Dorathea still needed her so wouldn't put up much of a fuss. This culminated when Reavis attempted to force herself upon Dorathea and she responded with the pent up betrayal at her former friend. Dorathea was kicked out of the Tsumi Reavers shortly after but after she was left on the Citadel with a tipped off C-Sec, Reavis made an implied threat that filled her with horror.

After the quagmire of procedure and protocol that was Citadel processing, Dorathea sent an urgent message to her parents to not let her "friends" in, to hide if they could. She hopped on the first ship that would take her to Omega. When she got there, it was too late. Dorathea found her mother crying over the body of an aged Turian. Distraught and longing for revenge, Dorathea went to Thessia to join the Asari Commandos, but because of her birthplace on Omega and already being in the Matron stage, she was turned away everywhere she went. That was until she met Matriarch T'mezrin, who sensed the drive and sadness within the young fighter and gave her special dispensation with a Huntress Circle that she often used as bodyguards. Dorathea performed her duties with prejudice, though her tendency to break formation and engage the enemy hand to hand was often remarked upon as reckless. For her though, this was about doing to the enemies of her people what she couldn't do to her own enemy. Deep within, she was nursing the fires of vengeance. Eventually, her decades of combat cooled that inner heat and drove her further back into her training as a way to purify her soul. With that, she was honorably discharged and took up teaching all that she had learned. Still though, she'll stand against evil where she can and hasn't really lost that sense of wanderlust for the mystical and the martial going hand in hand.

Talents/Non-Combat Related: Although not an ace by any means, Dorothea can fly a shuttle with some skill. Enough to keep it from crashing or burning it up in atmo anyway. Is skilled in an Asari form of acrobatics roughly equivalent to Earth parkour.

Other: While not a great shot with most personal firearms, Dorothea is surprisingly accurate with ship-board or mounted weapons. Even she's not sure why this is, mostly figuring that it's a sign that whatever's she's shooting at really can't be beaten through her usual method.

Career History:
wanderer
criminal 1 count theft of a ship, 3 counts murder, 1 count arson, 1 count possession with intent to sell, 4 counts hacking, and 1 count littering

Personality:
To be put simply Fosa is a rather laid back and almost comical person she has a love to make things over exaggerated. she tends to act this way to lull others into thinking she is just some harmless idiot. she really would like to figure out what she can do to finish her pilgrimage but he also doesn't want it to end she likes having her own space, and new ship, and toys, you know things that are lacking in her home. She isn't one for discipline enjoying the old way with the gang of get the job done however you do instead of following the rules.

Role: she is the sneaky one there for things like recon getting into places and taking out people secretly.
Background Intel:
Fosa'Xasa Vas Yazzor or Fosa for short is something of an oddball among her race mostly because she is one of the insanely rare biotics of her race. They are so rare because the circumstances to produce a Biotic are not something a Quarrian wants to encounter.
Fosa was born shortly after her parents and some of their friends, salvaged a ship from a recent skirmish between citadel forces and some pirate groups, now there were some rumors that her parents were members of this group and led them into citadel forces but this accusations unfounded. Now then this ship has suffered extremely heavy reactor damage and its crew should have been killed by the element zero in the air, which her parents had smartly let settle before trying to move in and clean up the mess. Somehow however, one of the crew members did survive the deadly failure and decided to take at least someone do with him. This fire fight ended up causing some already broken bits of metal to come lose and Fosa's mother and herself to become exposed to the element zero dust.
Thus it was that Fosa was discovered to have managed to gain the almost unheard of biotic powers her people have basically lost because of their lack of element zero to sprinkle over babies. Still this had little impact on her younger years in the fleet she was just like any other child playing and repairing the crumbling hulks that housed her race, as any child must. Still when she entered puberty she was specially called out to have a treatment no other had gooten in a long time and they gave her implants, though of course they weren't the best and were made from what her people could manage to put together, but hey she survived and gained what equates to your average L3 implant though with the minor issue of causing discomfort to debilitating pain depending on how much she uses her biotic powers.
After the operation and some time spent recovering from the surgery Fosa continued her life learning on her own how to use her gift, though a self taught biotic is nothing compared to someone who knows what they are doing. She also started to practice some less savory skills knowing she would soon enough be going on a pilgrimage and well the galaxy was not kind. In truth she chose to go out a bit early on her pilgrimage and really wasn't sure what to bring back, she could get herself trained and be something special or maybe a ship, ships were always welcome.
She sadly was not prepared for just how harsh the galaxy could be as well everyone seemed to have a negative view of her people and after experiencing their treatment she decided she couldn't really make it worse and these people really wanted her to b a criminal and criminals often got all the best goodies so why not be one. Thus she fell in with a bad crowd and while they were just some two bit tiny organization they still found a use for someone that everyone suspected but no one would think to actually be in a gang. She started off small just running things hacking things, kicking ships till they worked, but the leader of the gang soon found a better use for her after she displayed an uncanny ability to get behind enemy lines and take them out silently, she was a natural assassin.
Sadly before they could do much with this new skill C-sec managed to interfere and busted their little ring meaning everyone including Fosa was put into prison. Still luck was with Fosa, or perhaps they were tired of paying a Quarian's medical bill, and she was offered an out, go with a special little group the higher ups were cooking up and finish their mission or better yet go with them and die. She took this chance to get out and decided she should avoid the dying part.

Career History:
SIU (Special Intervention Unit) 7-Years
Batarian Military (Non Special forces) - 3 Years
Blue Suns- 2 Years
Mercenary (Solo) - 3 years

Personality:
A typical cigar enthusiast with a dark sense of humor. Once a proud SIU operative and military man turned Batarian rebel with a cause. He despises old and out of touch traditions of his people, finds their caste system a scheme for credits and lining government pockets with more creds, giving them more power and keeping themselves ahead of the game, while ignoring obvious opportunity for the growth and advancement of their people.

Easy to understand why he hates politics and especially politicians. Though some like that Asari councilor are easy on the eyes. Almost tempts the mind.

Overall he's not a fan of his people's very public "Okay" with Slavery and trade. Hates outdated caste systems and loves fine cigars, strong drinks, fine company and getting shit done. What more need be said? Should be informed to those working with him, he's a blunt man, no facade unless it's necessary. Just plain words with simple enough meaning for all to understand, though being a Batarian doesn't make life easy or free of stereotypes. While his intentions can still be unknown at times, possibly due to his ability to sound blunt and simple but hide truths when needed or desired.

Kind enough, fair but tough is the short hand for this man. Often found on Omega in the Afterlife where in his opinion, stuff happens and company is very fine.
Role: Recon & Infiltration specialist
Background Intel:
Born Kartok Don'Gavarn in 2152 to the wealthy and deeply tied to the slave trade, Don'Gavarn family on Khar'Shan. Kartok was blessed with great caste and grew up amongst the elite in Batarian society, however this was never a point of pride for him. When your family is deeply woven into the fabric of slavery and trading of sentient life.... It's most commonly a fact to be Ashamed of within other societies and races, yet not here, not on Khar'Shan. It was integrated into their traditions practically, it was a insult to the Batarian people, discrimination by the council races and citadel law to have such restrictions and laws against it. It was basically part of caste and government. Slave trade brought credits, wealth, wealth bought caste, caste brought status amongst the Batarian, we all know how power is gained from there.

But despite early on disagreements about his people's history, their self imposed reality of limits and strength in council society and the citadel space. Standing amongst other races being poor and weak in comparison to most others. Their ethics. A outdated system and blaming of others for their problems to propel them forward in theory and keep them afloat. It was all foolish. Yet despite his views, Kartok grew up playing the game, hacked systems to fudge his age and looked out for himself, his family needn't his aid after all. Joined the Batarian military and its Paper strength form compared to older times and other military operations. They weren't as well known as the Turians and Salarian, Asari and even Humans or Krogan military. But they existed and Kartok sought what he thought was "Proper" training in order to advance himself through other ways, outside of slave trade his families business and paying the hedgemony for caste, we all know who truly gets the credits and holds power after all. Least in Kartoks you mind they did, he did. Not desiring to help the authority gain further power, he joined the military serving for three years before joining the SIU, Batarian special forces, enduring the harsh training and excelling as one of their operatives over the years.

He dealt with politics, opposing extremists, colonies who the hedgemony saw as pests to rid themselves of and take over said settlements. A list full of operations that ran quite long and far in his seven years playing the game and being amongst the best the SIU and Batarian race had to offer. But growing hate for politics, reminded hate for slavers and outdated caste systems, foolish pride and finger pointing, excuse making oppressing his people's potential and betterment led him down a new path. Kartok became the rebel with a cause that perhaps he was destined to become.

Angering his family, disowning them and they he in the process, removing the family name and his birth given one in protest and final removal of their stain upon his chest. He imposed upon himself a exile, vowed never to return to his forsaken, politician cursed homeworld and left in loud, defiant statement to his people and left. But not before freeing some slaves and ridding worlds of slave trade operations one base at a time, while trying to free further slaves in the process. Now calling himself "Peros" the former SIU commando went on a run of statements in Batarian controlled systems and blew up cargo ships and bases to act as his calling card.

Finally moving on from atonement of his actions or so the man thought by freeing those he once allowed and in come cases helped enslave years before. Peros signed on with the Blue Suns for some Mercenary work and learning of how exactly they operated, staying on for two years before getting fed up and realizing he wasn't helping his case with this lot. They were hardly better then his people's slavers and pirates. Plus some of the leaders just really pissed him off.........

Once more Peros made some statements. Using his past training and tech savvy ways Peros hacked into terminals, datapads, ship computers and altered key details, stole credit transaction Intel and took the credits for himself to fund one hell of a "Gone Rogue" statement and final screw you! To the bosses he greatly disliked and hated. He wanted to make headlines and become a legend in some sense of the word that would forever be tied to the blue Suns organization.

And if things went well, he'd have one hell of a celebration party on Omega when he was through. So it was settled, operations in progress, and yes it was plural. Peros had several small, discreet and secret operations underway to undermine blue sun plans and ventures. Just a tweaking for some fun and get them on edge, once they were good and pissed, the real fun would start. As expected they were sloppy at first, going off emotion such as anger instead of collected thought needed for real counter tactics. Allowing for Peros to buy some time and set up other infiltration operations and base by base dismantling before a final explosion to really piss them off and finalize his statement.

But his conscious started to get the better of him, not wishing to atone a second time for great wrongs and oversights. Peros started to take longer, work harder at thorough pace to ensure innocents were kept out of the line of fire and freed when and where he could. It almost led to his death by blue Suns hands, that really...... would have soured his party celebrations and much of his drinking that he would surely do. But I'm the end it was worth it, people caught in the middle or trapped as workers and prisoners by the blue Suns were freed on the bases he targeted on Xawin.

This led him down the path of lone Merc traveling the galaxy on others creds and getting shit done at his pace and his choosing. No more hedgemony, no more caste and slaver influence, no more blue sun bosses to piss him off. He chose who he worked for and who'd have his protection, who died because he was hired for the job and so on....

Especially no more politics. Least for the most part.

Peros has become a Batarian rebel with a past and details hidden through his security conscious measures. Working who he decides is worth of his services and how much they are willing to offer him. His services don't come cheap even if he's picky and prefers keeping decent folk alive. A noted presence on Omega namely Afterlife as a patron and silent, occasional ally of Arias. A service trade agreement that remains in tact putting both parties skills and resources to good use in favor of mutual benefits.

However it seems Peros has caught the eye of the council despite his Batarian heritage. A reputable Merc with his true past now known by that Asari councilor and her associates on the council. Status: He's been hired.... so to speak.

Lacks the temperament for leadership, years of Batarian politics and bullshit have dwindled his reserves for such roles and the requirements for them. Prefers solo operations as proven by his famed betrayal of the blue suns and destruction of their bases on Xawin, freeing trapped prisoners and workers to solidify his gone rogue statement.

Hates vorcha with a passion. Very prejudice toward their people.

Works side deals with Aria while on Omega, leading to free drinks and company of her dancers whenever he's on Omega, which is often. Though the company never goes beyond drinks and conversation, flirting at their table. Admires their beauty but doesn't try for more then mere company.

Peros is formerly Kartok Don'Gavarn.... A self imposed exile of Khar'Shan and high ranking operative for the Hedgemony. Disowned his family name and birth name upon exile and vowed never to return. To further ensure security of his personal Intel and Dossier from leaking beyond himself and those knowledgeable of his past actions and operations, plus basic info such as lineage and caste, he's gone to great lengths to black out such details and leave little about him to be learned. Though skilled and dedicated operatives and hackers could bypass his measures with enough opportunity and time.

Personality
Ansgar is an incredibly intelligent man, and it shows. He is quite analytical in his thinking, calm and rational at most times. He does, however, tend to have angry outbursts followed swiftly by apologies to anyone nearby. He is very strongly against foisting off risk to others, especially when those others are of greater numbers or perceived greater importance. At his worst, this deepens into an outright martyr complex, looking to sacrifice his life for something, but that's rare. Ansgar is quite easygoing, and has a mischievous streak. He used to feel an intense isolation from his peers, unable to understand them and be empathetic, but he has worked on this and is now good at judging people and what they need to push through their latest roadblock. He is ultimately a very kind man, and he does not usually want to hurt anyone. He has rather extreme tendencies, and when he feels that he is in the right, he will do terrible things to achieve that goal, then be guilt-ridden afterwards.

Role

Scientific Consultant, Biotics Specialist

Background Intel

Ansgar was one of those lucky few who were exposed to eezo on Singapore Spaceport and developed biotics instead of tumors. His parents were nobody, really. After BAaT he lost all contact with them, and he doesn't even know if they're alive. In BAaT he stood out for his creativity, scientific and academic interest, and sheer intellect, and his actual biotic ability was high, but not exceptional enough to merit much attention. Not to mention constantly making mockeries of early extranet security measures designed to contain preteens, forcing upgrades to more serious internal security software. Eventually, an informal compromise was reached, and Ansgar was allowed to educate himself in areas of science in exchange for him not playing around with internal security software so often. During BAaT, as mentioned, he was demonised to his parents and everyone else who knew him, and took it personally, cutting all contact with his past life. Ansgar's side-effects from the L2 implant included occasional migraines, rare delirious episodes, and frequent nightmares of surreal nature. He also lost his only friend in BAaT, Ashley Jain, to insanity caused by L2 implants.

After BAaT was shut down, he had been earmarked by the Democritus Institute, a foundation for the identification and development of future scientific potential, for acceptance into a specialised gifted-and-talented program, which he excelled in. Ansgar's primary focus was on biotic science and biomechanics, and this is where he excelled most. At 21 he was advanced to be project leader in the Xavier Collective, an Alliance scientific group for advancing biotic implant technology, with creating a riskier but more powerful implant being emphasised in the mission statement. Many questioned putting such a young man at the head of such a high-level project, but all were silenced on seeing Ansgar's prodigal talent for the work, his raw intelligence, and his passion. Ansgar reined in some of the less safety-conscious members of the initiative, the ones who would accept a survival rate of one in one hundred if it meant greater heights in biotic power.

Five years on, the prototype L4 was ready to be fully deployed. Or, at least, more reckless members of the Collective thought so. Ansgar disagreed, citing the dangers that had yet to be ironed out, which would mean a lower amplification factor. Unfortunately, they went over his head, and Ansgar was overruled, his decision dismissed as prejudice from his BAaT days. In a last ditch attempt to stop the deployment of such a flawed (in his opinion) device, he upgraded himself with it, risking the high chance of brain damage simply from the act of upgrading as well as the various mental side effects that the L4 brought. This proved to be not enough, and Ansgar was instead stripped from his project leader position and put into isolation for observation by his opponents in the Collective. Unbeknownst to Ansgar, Cerberus had significant stake in this project, and had been influencing its development in more and more dangerous ways behind his back, planning to steal it for their own uses. This meant that they were willing to go to equally dangerous lengths to keep the L4 on track. Ansgar took extreme action, his last, desperate gamble.

He used his newly-gained biotic power to break out, tear through the facility to the main servers, delete the project files, and begin killing everyone who could reconstruct the L4. As the slaughter continued, Ansgar began to question his method less and less, losing himself in the bloodthirsty state that the L4 had sent him spiraling into. At the end of it, the whole facility had been scoured of life, even Sakiko Maki, Ansgar's then-girlfriend of one and a half years. He escaped in a shuttle, reeling from what he'd just done.

Cerberus contacted him a day later, a ship swooping in to collect him. They offered him a deal. They knew what happened, and soon, so would the Alliance. They could cover it up, and he could work for them directly as both a scientist and a field agent, depending on its needs. They would also help him in countering the side-effects of the L4 prototype. They also successfully deceived him into believing that they were not involved in the Xavier Collective. Ansgar renamed his now-unique implant the Tartarus, refusing to refer to it as the next step of biotics, L4.

Eventually Ansgar, with Cerberus resources, synthesised a drug he termed Ambrosia that, when injected regularly, would go some way to limiting the side-effects of the Tartarus, which now were known to be migraines, nightmares, triggered bouts of the insane bloodlust demonstrated at the Xavier Collective, occasional hallucination, and a generally more irritable demeanour. At least, those were the side effects for Ansgar. He is unwilling to find out what they'd be for anyone else, better or worse. During this time, Ansgar had been consulting on various other scientific projects of Cerberus, slowly getting drawn into its web of deception. After the development of the treatment was completed, Ansgar could focus his attention on other things, and Cerberus didn't need to worry as much about a relapse. He worked for them on a project of increasingly questionable methods, External Biotic Focus Cybernetics, its methods hidden behind increasingly thick walls of lies. They were essentially designed to act as foci for biotic power. He also began to be deployed as a combat unit, at times when great biotic power was needed and Cerberus could lie away the necessity of the mission.

By 2181 (four years after the incident at the Xavier Collective) Ansgar was suspicious. He began covertly digging into Cerberus, putting his neglected cracking skills to good work, and eventually pieced together three things: the existence of Project Zero, which disgusted him, Cerberus' involvement in and plan for the Xavier Collective's researh, which was the creation of what was essentially a brainwashed, indoctrinated unit of biotic super-soldiers created without regard for how many died in the process, and that he had been further deceived as to the extent of Cerberus' moral bankruptcy, including his own project. In disgust, Ansgar sabotaged everything he could of the project, stole the prototypes, and stowed away on a Cerberus ship, disembarking and making his way to Alliance space. Later he got into contact with Alliance authorities about his time with Cerberus, and also came clean about his involvement in the Xavier incident. It took some time until he was believed, but then he was pardoned for his crimes because of the information on Cerberus he gave and for his talents. He was then put to work in the Ascension Project, working on the partially-completed L4 implant, which he viewed as his chance for redemption. In his downtime, he also completed and implanted the External Biotic Focus Cybernetics, which he named Phil as a joke on his tendency for otherwise dramatic naming, to test them. They needed to be expensively and time-consumingly keyed to a whole pile of specifications for each recipient and resulted in only a minor boost in effectiveness, and were deemed something of a dead-end technology for now.

After putting in his input on the L4, Ansgar swapped over to instruction, and turned out to be a decent teacher, and a surprisingly good moral example for the students to emulate. He found that he actually liked teaching, and settled in comfortably to spend the rest of his life as an instructor at the Jon Grissom Academy. Unfortunately it was not to be, and Ansgar was essentially guilted into joining a new task force, one investigating a new threat to the galaxy.

Talents/Non-Combat Related
Scientific genius, especially when it comes to biotics. A highly gifted hacker, but not as good on more mundane software work, isn't much interested in hardware like drones or the latest omnitools and such, and is a bit out of practise. Can pilot a ship in a pinch, but is no substitute for a trained, skilled pilot. A good cook, used to throwing together whatever's available in whatever time he has and making it taste good, or at the very least passable. Good at picking up skills in a short time, except anything musical. Ansgar has absolutely no musical capacity whatsoever. Don't even think about asking him to sing, the results are not pretty.

Other

Needs to inject himself with a dose of the treatment that he has dubbed Ambrosia for ease of communication every day or two, else the side-effects of his biotic implant, Tartarus, begin to catch up to him increasingly more severely. These side-effects are frequent migraines, occasional hallucinations, a swift and incredibly violent temper which devolves into bloodlust if Ansgar gives in to it, and constant nightmares. With Ambrosia it's just a more aggressive attitude, occasional migraines, and the odd nightmare. Much better.

Personality: Doctor Lancet is a calm and rather easygoing person. Exceptional bedside manner, she is one of the more professional members of the crew.
Role: Chief Medical Officer
Background Intel: Doctor Lancet is one of the Alliance's most brilliant medical minds of the new age. Graduating at an early age, she served aboard the Alliance ship, The Halford, before transferring to Huerta Memorial for her residency. Then Saren attacked.

Doctor Lancet was in the Wards when the attack happened. She was crushed under debris and almost died. Luckily, Alliance paramedics managed to find her and take her off the Citadel to a nearby system for treatment. However, it was discovered that Lancet's nervous system had been severed, thus rendering her body completely immobile. The Alliance approved of an Assisted Mobility Unit to be linked to her cerebral Cortex to allow her to continue working. She remained at Huerta for mobility therapy training before being assigned to join the new Task Force the Council put together.

Background Intel:
Arriving on the Alliance Radar at the age of 16, Rune Lio was a noticable Kahje Special Agent, acting as an armed spy who was responsible for carrying out a broad range of espionage and infiltration against suspected corrupt political officials. His service to the Illuminated Primacy continued for five years, before the Drell retired with military honours.

Following an early retirement from the Hanar Military, Rune Lio utilized his earnings to purchase a Class-S Warlord, a larger ship designed to withstand limited fire from fighters boasting a large cargo-hold, ideal for transport of goods. Thoug there's little supporting evidence, Alliance agents theorize Rune spent the next three years off-radar as a treasure hunter, delving into ancient ruins and shattered ship wrecks in search of artifacts, weapons or intact goods. This theory is further supported by the abnormal increase in wealth the Drell gained.

Returning to the Citadel, Rune Lio--despite possessing an aptitude for a high C-Sec rak--applied to a low class fighter suadron, responsible for hunting smugglers and patrolling the air space. This left C-Sec Officials baffled, as Rune's piloting ability was exponentially good. Service to C-Sec continued for 8 years, promotion was offered-and refused-multiple times before an investigation was opened on the Drell Pilot, lead by Spectre Toras, who claims to have discovered in-deoth smuggling activities traced to before Rune even applied to a C-Sec position. By the time the discovery was made, Rune Lio, and his entire immense fortune, had gone AWOL only to resurface a year later with an incognito proposal from the Salarian Councillor, a pardon for his crimes, in exchange for joining a Task Force.

Personality: After everything that has happened to her, you'd expect a battle hardened young woman who always has a scowl. In reality she's a rather friendly person. A little awkward, but friendly. She smiled at everyone, laughs at her own jokes, and even bakes from time to time. She just seems like a happy go lucky kinda gal who doesng have a care in the world. But, some people say you have three faces, and so, like everyone; Ailani acts differently depending on the situation. On the battlefield, she's a deadly asset. An excellent marksmen, and a complete badass, she's also the one to think through her actions. She will prioritize targets and objectives, cover her allies, and can charge in when need be. Then, there's the way she acts in private. Truthfully, she's tired. Her arm has been a bug adjustment for her, and whilist it doesn't seem to bother her, it does. She's not the friendly person many people know, or the badass others know, she's a tired woman who needs a goodnights sleep for once.
Role: Ground Team and Sniper Specialist
Background Intel: To some, her military service began when she was born. Born in 2156, only a year before the beginning of the First Contact war on a small Alliance Scouting vessel, which her father, Marcus Della, piloted, her mother, was the communications officers, and she was safe back on the carrier ship their ship docked in. After the beinging of thr First Contact War, as her parents were returning to friendly space, they were attacked by the Turians. However, they were able to barely escape. After recovering, her mother and father both returned to active duty, taking Ailani along with them. Her first three months of life were all on board the
Vixen, the ship she was born on.

By the time she was five, the Alliance and the Citadel Council had worked out a way for their military to be stationed on board, and her parents were among the ones who lived there. She spent her days either talking her father as he inspected ships, or did school work in the company of her mother who was still a communications officer in the Tower. When she was seven, they were stationed on Eden Prime.

They lived there until she was 12. But in the few years there, her mother and father could started to teach her a few things about handling weaponry, Ailani also trained with them. When she was 9, her little brother was born, and when she was ten, She first started taking an interest in a military career. Her grandfather, a retired Alliance Captain, told her war stories and about the bravery of the men and women involved.

At 18, she enlisted, and after a few months of reauired training, she was stationed back on the Citadel as security. Six months later she was moved, and stationed on Arcturas Station, again as security. Her time as security on both were rather uneventful. Returning to the Citadel after a year and a half on Arcturas, the ship she, other military personnel, and even civilians were on was attacked by pirates in a stolen alliance ship in better condition than their own ship. Boarded, and with most of the crew rounded up, her and two of her teammates were tasked with saving everyone on board.

With the two going in as a distration, armed with a sniper rifle and a small vent to hide in, they saved an entire ship full of people in a matter of minutes with quick thinking and limited ammo. Returning to the Citadel, made it in time for a family dinner. But her actions hadn't gone unnoticed, as she received an invitation to ICT, Interplanetary Combat Training, 12 weeks before her 21st birthday.

The youngest candidate that had been invited, She was one of the very few who were invited back as N1s', a monumental feat for someone so young. In only four years of training, at 25, she reached the rank of N7, and began covert, off world military operations only suitable for someone of her training. During the Geth attack on the Citadel, like many other soldiers, She was covering her fellow N7, Commander Shepard, keeping Geth occupied in other areas of the large vessel. However, thanks to a Geth Juggernaut, Ailani lost most of her left arm, and was given multiple other injuries while protecting dozens of civilians. Despite the fact she might die, Ailani held out until Shepard could take down Saren and help could arrive.

For seven months she was on medical leave, in a coma for three of them, and the other four were physical therapy getting use to her new arm. She's recently been cleared for active duty again.

Talents/Non-Combat Related:

  • Quarian Engineering
  • Piloting (Self-taught)
Career History:
  • Quarian Engineer trainee
  • Vehicle Engineer & Armourer for Hire

Personality: Talented, yet irresponsible, Kyl'Rannar is no stranger to trouble. In the past, he has been considered a wildcard, equally capable of brilliance and trouble. This is usually because of his eccentric, reckless and unprofessional nature. Be it his direct manner of approaching a situation or his sense of humour. Kyl is impulsive and can be hot-blooded in the heat of a moment, whilst maintaining a pragmatic and efficient approach to the task at hand. A combination which shows and benefits him in the field. Much different compared to the general Quarian population, Kyl considers himself more independent and open-minded, referring to himself only as 'Kyl' and preferring the company of other races.

Role:
Armourer/Engineer

Background Intel:

If one were to ask Kyl, he would refer to his life as 'a series of decisions bordering on astonishing brilliance and utter madness.'

Kyl'Rannar was born aboard the Moreh of the Migrant Fleet in 2161. Kyl often boasts about being born with an omni-tool in one hand and a pistol in the other. Although, as unlikely as that seems, he's managed to convince some people of it.

From a young age his loud and eccentric nature became apparent at the same time as his natural aptitude for engineering. Following his passion, Kyl received formal training to become a engineer for the Migrant Fleet. Simultaneously being the highest-scoring and most disruptive student in class. Due to his more disruptive tendencies he frequently clashed with authoritative figures, including his father whom he had little relationship with at all and would eventually become reputed as a troublemaker. For this reason, most of others were hesitant to interact with him.

At the age of 15, Kyl was involved in an undisclosed incident. The story itself is vague but what is known is Kyl hijacked a fighter-class ship and crashed it into a cruiser, punched the captain in the face and when immediately brought before the admiral-board, he then proceeded to suggest the Geth occupation of Rannoch was justified. All in a days work. Whilst the punishment for a single on these crimes would typically be execution, an exception was made on the account of Kyl still being considered a child. Instead, he would immediately become one of- if not the youngest recorded exile in the history of the Migrant Fleet. Seemingly pleased with the outcome, Kyl would leave, but not before hijacking another ship and rations of his choice.

Over the course of the next 11 years, Kyl adopted a particularly adventurous lifestyle. Living as a nomad, he travelled from place to place, from the Terminus Systems to the Citadel and much between. To make a living, he utilised his engineering talents to get work as an armour and vehicular engineer - and on the odd occassion - a getaway pilot. It is also during the first few years of his exile where Kyl would grow accustomed to combat. A natural development given the enemies he made on the account of his 'natural charm'. Kyl's clientele consisted mostly of anyone willing to hire a Quarian, mostly consisting of bounty hunters and small-time mercenary groups. A career which sustained itself for the quality of his work if nothing else. Kyl considers his more exciting jobs to have taken place on Omega, being one of very few people to do work for the Eclipse, Blue Suns and Blood Pack whilst staying out of their respective cross-hairs. As such, he has gained the acquaintance of many of the most feared names throughout the Terminus System.

During the Geth invasion Kyl found himself working for a certain contractor known as Ulysses Vens. He played a key role in the destruction of several Geth vessels alongside Ulysses (although he doesn't consider himself paid well enough for the fact). His aptitude speaking for itself, Kyl was brought aboard the Phoenix as part of the CIU task-force at the recommendation of Ulysses. Since doing so, Kyl hadn't enquired about the mission or the crew, seeing this as just another job but with a fancier organization to what he's used to.
