Narcissa looked to Lucius, “yeah I know I’m a fun killer. But I won’t borrow something from you. I don’t like to owe somebody money. I hope you understand this.” She smiled and her thoughts deviated from that happening.


It wasn't right. The poor boy snape. She felt sorry about that things. She would help him but how? And would he accept her help? She didn’t know…


Should she say something to him? But she didn't know what to say. Was he okay?


He didn’t look so... 


Narcissa didn’t notice anything around her. She caught in her own thoughts. It seemed like she was in another world.


Suddenly somebody was moving away. It was Greyback. Where went he? And why went he?


She turned around and saw the other Slytherin turned off the happening.


I should go with them. And I should have better thoughts... Maybe…


She moved slowly to the others. But her face looked more thoughtfully as before

Remus came to I the hospital wing. He had done this far too often and he just sighed heavily and buried his face in the pillow. He was sore everywhere and he felt so dizzy. He eventually sighed and looked up, glancing around the room. He then looked down at the new scars across his chest and a wave of emotion hit him. He but it back. He couldn't show this weakness. He was just so very sick of waking up to a more ruined body all the time. He swallowed the lump in his throat and then tried to get up. He didn't want to be there anymore, but he was so dizzy that one he stood, he fell back on the bed.

[SIZE=11pt]Weak from forced laughter and woozy from all the blood rushing to his head, Severus could not stop his fall as Potter's [/SIZE]levicorpus jinx stopped levitating him in the air. The force caused the air to be knocked out of his body. He let out a pained grunt, allowing himself a few seconds to gain his breath once again before getting onto his feet. Bleary eyed, he could see Madame Pomfrey worrying over Lupin, wand fluttering, to no avail. Potter and Black stood but centimeters away from the wounded boy, suddenly showing compassion and worry due to Lily's outburst. Hatred bubbled in his stomach. Vain. His hands shook as he walked stiffly towards his fallen wand. Childish. Bending over slowly, Severus picked up his wand carefully. Yet everyone favors them both. A shaky breath left his mouth as he walked over to Lupin, eyes unblinking and blank as he stared down at the Gryffindor.[SIZE=11pt] [/SIZE]



He waved a hand to signify everyone to move back before kneeling down. Muttering slowly, Severus traced his wand around the gash, incantation flowing from his mouth like song as the bleeding slowly stopped. Raising his wand a bit, he took in a shaky breath, before placing it down once again. He once again repeated the Vulnera Sanentur incantation. The wound started to heal slightly, but still remained on Lupin's head. Severus suddenly felt exhausted. The small wisps of red hair beside him caused Severus to lean away. He recited the incantation one last time. He watched as the gash finally closed itself, knitting itself back together, leaving but a small scar on Lupin's head. "Use dittany to make sure...that no scar is left..."[SIZE=11pt] [/SIZE]



Getting up in a flurry, Severus walked back to where he had been before, hanging in the air in shame, and snatched up the OWL answer sheet he had almost forgotten. He did not look back as he walked as slowly as he would allow himself, worried that running back to the Slytherin Common House would make him look even more like a coward.

Bellatrix looked still over to the scene even though everyone had decided to start moving back to the castle. The stupid Half-Breed caught her attention. She looked after Greyback with a raised eyebrow. What did he have in mind now?, she wondered and looked after him. Suddenly the absence of him was more interesting than the fact that there was a dying student. Madame Pomfrey was there so surely she would take care of the injuries. She sighed thinking that no-one should've gotten the medi witch.


To her surprise she watched the disgusting dog leave and blow her a kiss. She arched her eyebrow annoyed and reached for her wand. She snipped her wand but missed the bloke by a few inches with her curse. It caused the grass next to him turn dark and dead. "He better not come to the dorm today...", she mumbled to herself about Greyback.


"Always needed help from the little Mudblood?", Bella teased Snape loud enough for him to hear it. She grinned taunting and looked at the redhead evil. It was more than obvious that she didn't care who heard her now that everyone was back on their way to the dorm. She quickened her pace to catch up with her sister.

"I am indeed accusing you of being such, Potter", she hissed at him and continued "You had nothing else to do than act all tough and bullying others while Remus was injured. Man up and help your friends!" She looked at him angry and crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Besides that since when is the perfect James Potter interested in the educational system? You don't care about anything but your stupid hair and snitch!", she snapped at him.


Lily watched Remus getting treated and took a step to the side as Severus went to undo his curse. She calmed down a bit as she watched the wounds disappear. She was still frightened and worried though as her gaze went to her best friend. What else was he capable of doing? He might claim it was only to protect himself but it seemed like Marlene was correct. Perhaps he had changed with all these new friends around him. This behaviour was unlike her childhood friend after all. He would never hurt or attempt to kill anyone. Yet he did.


"Why did you do this, Sev..? Remus did absolutely nothing...", she asked her best friend more gently and quietly than she had talked to Potter. She looked at him and crinkled her mouth. "So, this is all because of those stupid Death Eater in training over there?!", she accused him and pointed where the Slytherins had been seated not even five minutes ago. "Are you so keen on acting tough that you would almost kill someone?! That's not...", she spoke and looked at him trying to see the eleven year old boy who she had befriended.

Her gaze was piercing as she sat with her cousin and sister. Summer had been the usual bore with her parents asking her about school. Bella was a naturally talented witch and hence she didn't spend much time worrying about grades or anything school related. Hogwarts was going downhill anyways. Ever since Dumbledore had taken over the part of headmaster. Things were going downhill. She threw her hair over her shoulder and crinkled her mouth. "So, anything interesting happening at yours?", she asked Regulus and pierced some peas on her fork before eating them.


Thankfully the welcoming feast on their first day was almost over, which meant she could go into her own dorm away from those disgusting mudbloods and half bloods. She glanced at the fellow Slytherins and her gaze stopped at Snape. She didn't like the Half Blood a lot but still he was part of their beloved house. So after what Potter and his stupid gang had done to him still stung. "I hate to say it but we need to do something against your brother and those unbearable Gryffindors. We cannot have them stain our house like they did last year. We need to teache them a lesson.", Bella spoke to both Narcissa and Regulus. Her gaze even flicked to disgusting wolf.

Lily had been spending her summer two ways: trying to avoid Se...Snape after what had happened before the summer break and trying to brighten her mood. It was fascinating how someone's mood was able to drastically after being backstabbed by your best friend for something like that. She had even agreed on visiting Marlene for once despite the fact that Potter might be there as well. It had given her the perfect excuse not to be at home for at least a week. Not only Snape had gone on her nerves but her stupid sister with the whale of fiancée had decided to ignore or insult her. So she had spent most of the summer break on her own while writing with friends. She had found herself surprised at exchanging owls with Potter once or twice even though she still thought of him to be a insufferable git.

She had a sweet tooth after all and there were no parents to tell her off. It was the welcoming feast. Despite of the lastest developments and backstabbing best friends, she had decided to enjoy the new school year as much as possible. Lily was still brooding over the fact how Snape had called her that day at the lake. Regulus did enjoy being home, considering the privacy and choice to just close yourself up in your room whenever you felt like it without having to get bothered over and over again by other guys randomly dropping in to.. Annoy. Be loud. Or go to sleep and thereby be loud in another way.


But, he couldn't lie,- it was a relief to be back. Practically being the only child could get very demanding. Even outside of the home. Being pulled around everywhere to meet people that looks like they've got one foot in the grave and expect you to remember them from when you were just a few days old. And always, always the questions 'How/where is your bigger brother?' and the puzzle of lies that begun. Almost like a script his mother had taught him.


''Wha-? Oh. Oh, no, nothing much. I've mostly been reading, actually. Mother surprised me with welcoming me back home with an upgrade to the library.'' He answered Bella cheerfully.


The boy let out a light snicker as he looked at her. ''I doubt you hate to say it.. At all.'' he pointed out. ''I'll.. Likely be on with anything you've got.'' Regulus said, having worked up a heavy frustration towards his brother during the summer.


He followed her eyes, to the wolf, getting the... Honor, to witness him crunch right through a chickenbone while looking Bellatrix back dead in the eye. Charming. Always charming.

James had always thought summer to be the best part of the year: sunny days filled with quidditch games in his backyard, junk food and whole days spent talking to his neighbour, close friend and chivalrous partner in his hunt for love, Marlene. However, this summer had trumped all others with the arrival of none other than the most beautiful witch on the planet and Marlene's best friend: Lily. She'd haunted his thoughts for the remaining two months, and now as he looked back, he realised not one memory was devoid of the bright red head. It had been a pain, to accommodate maturity within in his summer breakfasts for the duration of a visit, but it was a pain he was willing to suffer for the sake of her heart. They'd even gone on to exchange a few letters, but as the last of her words were read, he couldn't wait to go back to Hogwarts and be with her once again.

Now, he was seated in the Great Hall. The feast had already appeared on the long tables as it did, in front of his carefully selected seat: right next to Marlene, opposite to Lilly. A vantage point from which he could stare at her without the direct exposure of seating right in front, yet close enough to engage conversation. He had been wondering whether his blonde haired friend still fancied his best mate when he spotted Lilly take a bite of her pudding. In a teasing voice, he said to her jokingly, "Didn't your mum teach you the rules? No pudding before the pie!" He raised his eyebrows and smirked. Grabbing hold of a desert spoon in one hand, he leant over and swooped over her plate, scooping a large chunk of the desert before swiftly stuffing the spoon in his mouth. "Serves you right," he said in a matter-of-fact tone between chewing his mouthful. "Should've followed the rules, Lillykins."

Back to Hogwarts, hoggy warty Hogwarts...


The catchy tune was stuck in Peter's head ever since this morning and he kept humming the words under his breath. He grabbed another blueberry tart for save keeping on his plate while the other one was busy securing the last two sausages in his reach. There might be more further down the table but ehh...too far away to reach comfortably. And if not about gluttonous gorging on the manifold dishes what was the welcoming feast for? He had even forgone breakfast this morning just for the spectacle the Hogwarts house elves would prepare for them today. 


Sausage secured on his fork he waved them at his friends in mock outrage. "I resent that remark! As if I would try to copy that atrocious mane you call your hair. I'll have to inform you that my decision to let my luxurius locks grow is solely fo the ladies." Peter took a bite of meat and looked pompously at the others. They were currently discussing his new hair do - although it seemed James hadn't heard him, busy as he was staring at his ONE LOVE. "I've had a grand revelation this summer, you know? And that-" he shook his head to emphasize and the now longer strands whipped around his face "-is the result. I may even grow a beard."

Severus Snape

Severus sat alone, ignoring the uproar and endless chatting around him. Technically it wasn't a new experience for him - he had endured many solitary meals at this table and in Hogwarts. This time it hurt more than usual. After all solitary wasn't the same as alone. Last year there were bright smiles and waving hands from the Gryffindor table. Not so much this year. It was the first time since the Incident (Capital Letter and Bold!) that he even caught a glance of Lily. Even though they live on the same street, used to spend all their summers together, he hadn't talked to her ever since. It smarted, the knowledge that she ignored him solely because of Potter the git and his stupid friends. And the annoying level of noise, the petty gossip and trival jabbers grated on his already strained nerves. 


A sharp snap brought him back from his surly brooding. Severus looked up and took in the scene before him. A bit further up sat the eldest Black Sister surrounded by her court of other rich pure bloods (Oh Circe how easy life must be if you are part of the elite?). On the other side of the imaginary arena was Greyback challenging the witch. Not even an hour since they sat down and already the powerplays continued as if they had never left for the summer holidays.


Severus sighed silently and continued to listlessly chase the peas around his plate. He couldn't really sympathize with Greyback's never ending desire to challenge Bellatrix Black just for shits and giggles. He already was on his way to be a persona non grata in his own house and as such that was drama he did not wanted to be involved at all.

Narcissas Narcissas vacation were very relaxed. She often sat in front of her books and studied for her OWL. She wanted her best. The discussion in her family was exhausting.
Always muggleborn. Always pureblood. That was annoying. Because the situation is very tense. - Poor Regulus.

Narcissa looked around. It felt good to be back in Hogwarts. Vacation from her parents.
Dumbledore was now headteacher. Narcissa and her sister bella weren't amused about this.
'Dumbledore the sympathetic of Gryffindor as headteacher is funny isn't?' said Narcissa to the other Slytherin and she looked over Lucius and smiled.

'Yes you are right, we have to teach them a lesson, so what do you think how we do this?
Another question.. what happen this year in Hogwarts. Any events this year? I can't follow Dumbledore's speech.' Narcissa asked her sister Bella and the other Slytherins.

Lucius had really nice holiday. He was on a quittich match in Bulgaria. It was a awesome match. Also he was during a little trip to scottland to his family.
After that trip he studied hard because it was his last year at Hogwarts. Also he readed a lot about dark magic, spells, charms, potions and curses. But no one should know this.
During the holidays he exchanged owls with Narcissa. He knew now a lot what happend with sirius.

Back to school. Finally. Lucius ate his dessert slowly. His gaze was focused on potter and his little gang.
Lucius' smile was a little bit creepy and his thoughts were gloomy.

'Yes, really funny...Cissy...' Lucius answered but he didn't notice the view of Narcissa.
At last he had eaten his dessert. 'So Bella, Snivelly doesn't look great today, what do you think what happened? Hm?' He said sarcastically.

Having to admit this Summer was a rather eventful and also yet surprising one for Marlene. For starters she was alone for most of the Summer as her parents had went on their own little holiday leaving her with her older brothers in such a free state. Despite that her brothers were more out than home nowadays so that mainly resulted in her bunking at Potter's when she ended up alone. Unless his partner in crime was there, in that case she kept herself at home. Secondly her Summer was spent all in the wizarding world which was rather odd considering she usually is the one travelling over to Lily's house and staying there as she absolutely hated the fact that the conceited toe rag lived a fence away from Marlene. To her surprise she had received an owl from her best mate asking if she could spend some day over at her house instead of her going to Lily's  to which Marlene agreed with the following line of, If you do want to come over by all means go ahead but be warned that the chances of avoiding your precious Potter are VERY slim - Marls. It was something she mentioned as she didn't want her best mate turning her mood cause a male appeared. The fact that the McKinnions and the Potters have been neighbors since Day 1 it was most likely that one or the other will pop in each others houses. Be it for favors or for a nice rivaled quidditch match with her and her brothers and even his best mate, Marlene's hopeless interest: Black.


Nonetheless it made the pair's mission to get Lily stirred towards James much easier when she came to them.  Although it was quite the complex task it simply was not deemed un-achievable for the love struck male. That being said she was still trying to maintain her own messed up crush with none other than the male who is joint to the hip by her male brown haired best friend. Who seemed to notice about the female's interest towards his best mate. She didn't know how he figured it out or caught up to it but if he managed she simply hoped that Lily didn't, highly unlikely. With such episodes the Summer flew like any other would in it's own ways. Marlene was not one that liked it when Summer is over. Much like most of the students or so to speak. Having Lily over was rather different than her going to Lily's mainly because she remained in her own home and having her best friend be her guest. It was simply nice staying in her own house for once which was rather bigger in size due to it having more occupants in it... which made it seem crampy. 


Now she had just sat down in her usual spot which was opposed the red-head and next to the brown haired male which was available. She had barged through the doors of the Great Hall followed by a familiar male black haired Gryffindor, right at her tail. The blonde's face was rather bright, not in anger but rather in embarrassment and add a little anger mixed in with that. As she approached their house table she paused her mid-rant to Black and closed her eyes to calm down and sat in the seat previously mentioned and ignored him in hopes to calm down a bit. Being greeted by Lily's comment about summer she opened her eyes and gave her a half sarcastic smile, "Oh you got no idea how much I dread that Summer is over already Lils." She avoided Sirius' gaze or direction he might have sat at that point and focused on the red-head. Although something by her side caught her glance, James' pudding. "Oooo pudding, I'll take that!" with one swift motion she slid the bowl from under James towards her before she huffed noticing that she couldn't seem to find her spoon, "and that..." she swiped James' spoon in a fast motion. With that she took a mouthful of the delicious pudding, unaware of the fact that it belonged to Lily formerly being she missed his remark to the red-head. If anything calmed her... nothing can do it better than food or sports. 


Looking over to her best friend she sighed upon noticing her little glances towards the table that opposed them in the Hall, the Slytherins. She swallowed the spoonful she took and pointed the now empty spoon towards that table as her light green eyes settled on her friend's emerald green ones, "You know Lils, sneaking glanced at their table ain't going to solve your issues with that slime ball. Just get over it. He clearly showed he doesn't care by his choice of words." she muttered. Marlene tended to be a little bit all out when she was nerved or anything of the sort but then she was rather blunt in general. SHe had her knickers in quite the twist at the moment. Catching a glimpse of Greyback wolfing on a chicken bone she lowered her gaze to the bowl of dessert that she had in front of her and proceeded to devour it. If someone dare to put a finger in there it is also in risks to being eaten.

Bellatrix Lestrange

Bellatrix looked at the wolf with her piercing gaze. "Charming as ever!", she spoke disgusted over the way Greyback ate and spoke "I take it that no one has taught you proper manners over the summer?" She turned her attention away from him again and looked at her sister, cousin and Malfoy. They were by far more entertaining than the disgusting habits of the wolf. She rolled her eyes and simply hoped that she wouldn't have much to do with the half human at the table. Even after all these years, she didn't understand on why Dumbledore allowed him to Hogwarts in the first place. This was for wizards and witches and not freaks of nature like he was.


"Oh, I was thinking that perhaps we should turn Potter to our side. He's a pureblood after all and your precious brother seems to like him a lot. Why not simply take his best friend away from him. Perhaps he might finally realize that he's not one of them but one of us. Walburga might be relieved if he finally starts acting like a proper Black!", she said gazing at her younger cousin at the Gryffindor table.


Her attention snapped to Narcissa once she talked about Dumbledore. "Dumbledore favors all the people, who shouldn't go here. Mudbloods, freaks and all these Half-Bloods. Hogwarts should be for witches and wizards like us only. But here we are sharing the same table with them. Yet one of these Half-Bloods might come in handy for us.", she said and glanced over to Snape. She sat up straight considering how he might come in handy and if he would come to reason after his very infamous scene at the lake before the summer break. "Oh I don't know. Perhaps his break up with the mudblood was lasting. It might be good for him after all. We might turn him into a real Slytherin after all!", she answered Lucius sarcastic and added with an innocent smile "What do you think? Should we offer him a hand in his misery?"


She sighed and closed her eyes for a moment. Her gaze was finally set on Snape and she gave him a gentle smile. "So... how was your summer?", she asked Snape and tried her best to appear friendly. Who knew when this bloke might turn out helpful.

Lily's mouth dropped as Potter had the nerve to steal something from her favourite pudding. What in Merlin's beard made that idiot think it was okay to steal from her food? It was hers after all and goddammit there was enough of it on the table in front of them. She needed a moment to collect herself before looking cold at the young wizard and spoke "What's your problem, Potter? Keep your spoon by yourself! It's my pudding not yours! Get your own and leave mine alone!", she spoke coldly and sent daggers his way. He had just turned out to be a decent bloke but he just proved to be quite the opposite. No one dared to steal a girl's dessert. The only thing what prevented her from hexing him was the fact that it was the first day after the summer break and they were in the middle of the Great Hall. Yet a secretly cast spell wouldn't hurt her and most likely the teachers wouldn't suspect her anyways. A flick of her wand underneath the table and the big bowl filled with pudding went flying and it dropped upside down on Potter's head. 


Of course Lily would never admit it but she had enjoyed her summer with Marlene and Ja- Potter. She had found herself enjoying their joined breakfasts but him stealing her pudding left her with a sour mood. As soon as she found him somewhat decent, he did something stupid and he was back to the annoying toe rag he always was.


"That's my pudding!", she exclaimed unnerved as soon as Marlene took the plate from Potter. She huffed and crossed her arms in front of her chest. She was brooding by now and her mood dropped drastically. "For heaven's sake! You even make me miss Tunia and her whale!", she huffed and continued "At least I had my food for myself at home. Even though Vernim did well enough at eating most of it!" She sighed audible and rolled her eyes. School was already starting great. Lily groaned and placed her forehead against the table.


Once her best friend mentioned Snape, she rolled her eyes and kicked Marlene's leg to make her shut up. "Just shut up! Let me deal with my own problems and I don't want to see him!", she hissed at Marlene and turned to Remus "Why are we sitting here again? Seriously, our lives would be much easier without all these idiots in our life!" Lily turned a cold glance at both Marlene and James.

Regulus watched his cousin banter with the wolf, who didn't have time to  reach his tongue out before she looked away. The youngest Black could imagine someone trying to teach Greyback manners several times around, since it seemed that the young man enjoyed being taught things- just so he could show how extremely little he listened and how boring he found it all.


He listened to his cousins idea. ''Ha, mother wouldn't even need him to behave like a proper Black to be joyed about it. Anything as long as He'd stop being so.. Well, stopped being Sirius. The young man shot a glance back at the Gryffindor table as they seemed to be the days topic wonderful topic. Interesting as always, blood here and mud there, traitors and freaks. ''Bella please, I don't like it when you call me 'freak' in public, it's not very discreet.'' he said, as if he was trying to express his feelings for once. All three of them.


The wolf's eyes returned to the Gryffindor table but landed on the blonde this time around. And Lupin, never missing a chance to try to make him uncomfortable. Though this time it was blondie that made him uncomfortable by not looking, even if he would likely have felt rather pissy if she had. So he turned his attention back to their own table.


Snape.


He loved teasing Snape. And just like with Bella- he did so in a 'friendly' way to make it just a little more uncomfortable.


A grin spreading across the sharp teeth, ''Well lookie here~ She'd probably pull your hair if she could stand touching it,'' he said with a wink at the blackhaired man. ''It's okay, she doesn't wanna touch mine either. She'll start teasing you instead and before you know it there'll be notes under your pillows with lipstick on'em.''

"Oh, come on Lillykins," he said sweetly trying to repair what damage had been done. He could tell she was angry but didn't know why. It was just a joke, after all! Other girls would weep if he ever even glanced at them. But Lilly wasn't like the other girls; perhaps that's what he loved about her. He didn't bother to fight Marlene back as she swooped in for Lilly's stolen pudding. Her mouth had uttered words that made his blood run cold, and yet again he was reminded of the sluggish sod's existence: Snape. His eyes flitted over to the Slytherin table but didn't stay for long. He didn't want to give the poor chap the idea that he acknowledged his existence. Just knowing that he lived so close to his dear Lilly had provided James with many a nightmare throughout the summer, all inclusive of the loss of Lilly to the Slytherin bloke.

However, just as the hotheaded boy was about to mutter something disgraceful he would immediately regret, a bowl of the pudding was dumped on his head to cool him off. Blood rushed to his cheeks, but he found the footing to mutter a quick spell under his breath and clear up the mess. He could feel the stares burn holes through his neck. Snape, he thought viciously. That little devil. I will get to him, you'll see. He cast a bloodthirsty look across the hall before returning to his food. He nodded at what Marlene had to say. "I think, and I cannot believe I'm saying this, that I agree with Marley. If it were up to me, I'd murder the sodden git," he said with fists clenched.

Sirius looked at the table of Slytherin, with the banners of the green snake hanging behind it. He had noticed Bellatrix, and her group looking at him. Regulus, Bellatrix and Narcissa were all family members of him. He could not believe that he came from the same ancestors as those fanatics. He stared Bellatrix in the eyes for a brief moment, then let his eyes lay back on his food.


          The food was lovely, as was the Great Hall. He loved It at Hogwarts and always had. Hogwarts felt like his house. That was mainly because of his mother, who he'd always have a fight with. Like a time ago, when she tried to get rid of Jerry Hall, his favorite poster. Luckily he had them protected with some basic charms. His mother was too stupid to make them go away. Sirius wasn't surprised. Hogwarts was his home and home was just summer camp. Here he had friends, friends he felt more related to than anyone in his family. 


          McKinnon sat down beside Evans, who sat opposite of James. Sirius sat next to James. 


          "Oh, come on Lillykins" He heard James say.


          James was always teasing and joking with Evans. He already knew he liked her more than the other girls. Although she didn't like him like the other girls. Maybe that was the reason why he liked her so much. Sirius looked at McKinnon. She seemed to notice and Sirius quickly turned his head towards Remus and Peter.


          "Remus, mate. How was your Summer?" Said Sirius and put a firm hand on his shoulder. He leaned over tho him and said quietly: "When is the next full one? You look amazingly horrible." They chuckled. Peter laughed with them. Although Sirius wondered if he even heard it.


          Their smiles disappeared when they saw Snape staring them down, like he was trying to read their lips. Oh he hated Snape. He always got his big nose in their business. He was worse than Bellatrix and his brother. They were just pure-blood fanatics, like a lot of Slytherins. But Snape... Snape was a pure-blood fanatic, and he didn't keep his mouth shut. The only reason Sirius had not got at him was because of James. He in turn didn't want it because of Evans.

Marlene McKinnion

Feeling a sudden rush of pain in her calf caused her to jump an inch off the bench as she glowered at her best-mate who just hit her from under the table which caused the pudding she had on her spoon to drop off back in the bow with a loud solid splash. She noticed her childish attitude when her pudding got stolen, the same pudding that the blonde was feasting on. "Oh... this is yours Lils?" she inquired innocently before lowering the spoon and teasingly shifted it towards the brooding red-head, "You can have it back if you want... don't want you in a sour mood so early on in the year hmm?"

The blonde rolled her eyes at her behavior, it seemed that both her best friends seemed to have a decent conversation between one another without involving any spells or shouting. It was hilarious but at points it tended to get so annoying that she would want to hex them both to Oblivion but that was the time where she tuned them out, catching a side glance at James' right hand man and her fellow beater Black which caused her to drive her attention to the delicious pudding and took a spoonful, her eyes closed savoring the taste of the chocolate pudding which she preferred it over the gloom at this point. However her mouth formed a straight line when Lily said something about them being idiots and something about Petunia being a better company than her. Her light green eyes turned sideways at Lily and raised an eyebrow, "Oh really now? Missing Pet now? As if my dear Lils.. as if." she chuckled and shook her head. "That being said... the reason you are sitting here with these idiots is because you are nothing without this idiot." Marlene pointed at her a closed her eyes in a matter of pride, before leaning her head on her friend's shoulder, "I mean I make your life a ray of sunshine don't I my dear Lils. Am I right?" she batted her eyelids dramatically.

However when the male in front of her clenched his fist and made a death threat towards Snape she rolled her eyes. "I doubt that... I mean murdering would be the somewhat of an easy way out at this point for him." she grinned before dropping the subject as she knew it was a hard one on Lily especially after what happened before the Summer. That's when she realized what James said and frowned, "Heyyy.... what do you mean you can't believe it? Is that hard to agree with me?! I mean impossible... I am always right." she said with a little laugh.

His view was wandered to the Gryffindors and noticed Sirius face. He shook his head. What a shame!


So the other problem was Dumbledore. I should talk to my father. Maybe he knowed what to do with that guy.

Sirius "Padfoot" Black

They were talking about Snape.  He would be damned if he'd let that crooked nose, rotten piece of a Snape annoy him this early into the year. Besides he had other things on his mind this year. He wanted to pass his N.E.W.T's. He was done with those jokes he had done in the past. After the shrieking shack, Sirius knew he should be more careful. With intention to change the subject Sirius swallowed his chicken breast, cleared his throat and asked: "So girls, what have you been up to this Summer?" Giving a good look at Marley, who was looking pretty good, if he might have said so himself.


Sirius his summer wasn't actually that bad. He was with the Potters for most of the time. There, he had been welcomed as a lost son. For the first time in Sirius' life, he felt accepted into a family. A real family.


He had spent the whole summer on fixing a so called "motorbike". It's a muggle-made vehicle with 2 tires, which runs on gasoline. It was tough, especially in the burning sun. Sirius started with the usual stuff. Breaks, the engine and such. He later came up with the idea to set Flying-Charms on it. Now it can ride like a normal motorbike and if you press a button it actually starts to fly. He was very proud of it and when he was done with the test drive, James wanted a ride.

Lily watched satisfied as the bowl of pudding landed on Potter's head upside down. A smirk appeared on her lips as she finally rested her wand on the table. She highly doubted that anyone would link her to what had just happened and to be honest she couldn't be bothered by that at the moment. She was simply satisfied that the annoying dark haired bloke had payed for stealing her beloved pudding. "Oh, don't you dare Lilykins me, Potter! My name is Lily and for you it's Evans, now!", she told him as she placed some mashed potatoes on her clean plate. She made sure that he understood that they were back at last names - at least for now. "Leave him alone!", she simply said out of habit as the topic went towards bullying Severus again. Despite what had happened she still felt the urge to protect the Slytherin from Potter and his friends. "Besides last time I checked my friendship with Snape was none of you twos business!", she said and pointed her fork at her best friend and James. She looked with small eyes at Marlene for bringing that topic up.


The redhead turned to Peter and asked "Would you be a dear and hand me the tomatoes, please? But make sure Potter here, won't get his hands on everything." She smiled gently at the other Marauder.


Lily looked back at her blond best friend and rose her eyebrow as she spoke about her sister. "Well, you only know what you're missing if it's not there.", she told her trying to be convincing that she missed her sister. But in truth she was glad to be away from Tunia. She still loved her sister but ever since Lily had received her acceptance letter for Hogwarts their relationship had worsened. The both of them had almost been inseparable as children and toddlers but not anymore. Petunia thought of her as an abomination for being magical. She hadn't mentioned that to anyone yet except for Sev. Her gaze once again flicked to the Slytherin table at the thought.


Once her shoulder felt a little heavy, she glanced at her best friend again and grinned. "Keep dreaming, darling. Keep dreaming! You're only holding me back.", she chuckled and placed a friendly kiss on the blonde's hair before chuckling. Merlin, it was really hard for her to stay mad at Marlene for long. The conversation once again switched to Snape and Lily stayed unusually quiet.


"Well, I was visiting Marls for two weeks while he somehow kept visiting my best friend under the most ridiculous excuses. I mean seriously? Running low on sugar, Potter?", she answered thankful for the change in topic and jabbed at James, who had somehow constantly kept visiting over the course of her stay. "I met my almost whale in-law 'cause my sister thought it's time to get married... Aaaand I don't know reading, trying to stay away from Tunia and her fiancé.", she added with a shrug.

Bella looked at her younger cousin and thought about his objection but shrugged it off. "No, you misunderstand me, Regulus. This wouldn't be Potter but a way more sophisticated version of him. Think about what would happen if he finally realised that pureblood is superior to the rest of those...those disgraces to the wizarding society!", she replied and a smile played on her lips as she continued "He would be one of us not one of those disgusting blood traitors like your brother. Besides it will teach him right. No-one treats our family like this without being punished. If you ask me Walburga hasn't punished him enough yet. Obviously." The young witch gestured towards the dark haired boy sitting with her older cousin now. Even though her last sentence was directed at Sirius.


Her attention switched to the person she only tolerated. Of course she knew that she wouldn't be able to get Greyback to leave the circle of friends, which she had formed during her years at Hogwarts. Yet it would come in handy that she was somewhat acquaintances with him and it was by far better than being on the wolf's bad side. "Do I look like I would care for your puny feelings?", she asked him raising her eyebrow despicably.


Narcissa spoke and Bella's attention was quickly captured by her sister. A smile appeared on her lips at her sister's suggestion and she nodded. "Of course the old fool has to go. Hogwarts will be a lot better without Dumbledore on top. That man has gone completely bonkers. I mean think about who he allows into this castle to study with us.", she replied calm and leaned closer to her before whispering "And you are right. We can use Snape for our advantage. I like the way you are thinking, Cissy. We just need to figure out what exactly to do with the half-blood."


Lucius spoke and she grinned at the young man as she nodded slightly indicating her agreement to his statement. It was indeed time to win a new friend or at least good acquaintance. She might not want to be seen with the Slytherin. But Narcissa was correct. He would give them an advantage against Potter and his mudblood, Evans. The dark-haired witch tried not to sigh as Greyback tried to charm Snape like that.  She turned to him politely and spoke "Ignore Greyback here. Really, that's the best way to tolerate him around. He's like a lapdog once you know him" She tapped her long fingers annoyed against the wooden table as she looked at the younger Slytherin giving him a charming and friendly smile.

Remus was sitting among his friends picking at his plate of food that have gone mostly untouched. He's listened to James go on and on about Lily and serious sit there and smile smugly at all of it. They were idiots, but they were his idiots, and he didn't miss them greatly over the summer. It was actually this great feeling of loneliness that had built up over the summer months that took his attention now. He couldn't help but think about the many hours spent alone in his room with a book. Of course we must loved reading, but days upon end with nothing more to do then drink tea, read, and Walkabout his family small estate, he had grown incredibly bored. His family lived away from town and he was not allowed two spend time with the other teenagers on his Street when they were growing up and they all had traded friend groups that now were impossible to break into, not that Remus would have wanted to they could never be as wonderful as James, Sirius, and Peter. It was these thoughts that kept him from noticing that serious was speaking to him until he noticed that his friends were staring at him waiting for an answer.


 he looked up and somewhere in his mind he knew the question that I've been asked and it was easy to answer. "Oh, you know, same old." He said vaguely. "Glad to be back though." Then he added, for the express purpose of leering James and Sirius make dom of him again as he'd grown to love, "I can't want for classes to begin." he then passed Lily his own bowl of pudding that he knew he wasn't going to eat. "And to answer your second question, Sirius, it's tomorrow. This, my looking like hell." He stated.

The boy couldn't help but roll his eyes at what Marlene had to say. She was right, of course. The kid had more enemies from Gryffindor than a Slytherin chaser with a quaffle. He laughed at the last part of her sentence, as he shoved a spoonful of mashed potatoes into his mouth. "That," he said in between swallows. "Is absolute tosh. Everybody know's you're impossible to get along with." His voice teased and his eyes glinted with mischief. He heard Lilly complain about him always showing up at the McKinnon house throughout the break and bothering the two girls. Truth be told, the times he'd spent with Lilly on those blissfull summer evenings were one of the most memorable ones. He loved Marlene, of course, but having Lilly there made it all the more special. He was heartbroken when the time for her to go came, but he wasn't going to say that out loud. He gulped slightly, realizing he'd been staring at her for a second too long and looked away quickly. Instead, he said, "Of course. Anything for you Lilly."

With a light laugh, he turned to Remus who was describing his summer. The chap had been silent for the duration of the feast, James noticed, simply picking around with his food. His plate remained untouched in front of him and James frowned. He almost felt bad for the poor bloke for a second. Living so far away, and on top of that having to shift every full moon. But then he stopped himself before he went too far. Remus was one of his best mates, he couldn't feel sorry for him. So he nodded along and replied with a surprised expression as he answered Sirius's question. "Tomorrow?" he hissed under his breath, though he did expect it. He always looked a certain way when the full moon was near. Being friends with someone for so long made you notice small things like these.

But before he could say anything else, a booming sound filled the great hall, signaling the end of the feast. The plates in front of them disappeared, and students began clearing out. All thoughts left his mind as he clenched his fist with determination. He was going to get back at Snape. Without waiting for any of his pals, he got up quickly and started making his way out of the great hall, pushing through swarms of students. "You guys go on ahead without me! I'll only be a few minutes!" He pushed and shoved through the crowds before finally stepping out of the large double doors and slid into a small passage close by. Within minutes, Snape would arrive and James would have his revenge. His heart pounded with nervousness and excitement. After what happened last year, he would have to be careful about this. But then he thought back to the pudding and then the only thing he could think of was the burning fury he felt for Severus Snape.

​

"Well, you don't look that bad." Sirius said jokingly. After taking a second look Sirius saw his ramparts. A blue, almost purple sight. "Well, on second thought... I don't think you'd score with that redhead over there." Sirius said chuckling as he took another bite. He pointed at a beautiful girl sitting over at the Ravenclaw table. A bit younger then they were. Peter also looked at her. Dreaming away. "Are you okay, mate?" and he tapped at Peters arm. He looked surprised. The three laughed. With a smile, Sirius looked at James, who was again, fooling around with Evans.






Sirius thought back at his Summer at the sight of that.. While he was staying with the Potters, Evans was staying at McKinnon's house. So they spent some time with the four of them. Having a laugh and all. Sirius had loved this Summer in comparison with the year before. McKinnon was great company. As was Evans. Maybe that's why James liked her so much.


Sirius knew James wanted to be with her. With Evans that is. From the first year. From the moment they set foot in this Great Hall six years ago. James had always wanted the attention of Evans. It was hard at first. Because of Snape. Evans and Snape were friends once you see. So Snape always stood in the way of James. Peter didn't like him. As did Remus. But Sirius hated him. And James. James was absolutely disgusted by him.


As the signal - to return to your chambers - went off, Sirius noticed James staying in his seat. "You're not coming?" He asked James.  Sirius looked at James. James at Sirius. They seem to read each others mind. 


You gonna get Snape, right? A deep stare.


Sure am. James nodded angrily.


Want me to stay? Again, with a stare.


"You guys go on ahead without me. I'll only be a few minutes." Said James. With the only exchange of looks and glares, they understood each other perfectly. This is what kind of best friends they had become over the last couple of years.


"Alright then." Sirius said. "Let's go girls. Remus, Peter. What are you waiting for? I have to show you photographs of the Motorbike!"

Marlene McKinnion

Finally finishing her pudding the female gave a soft groan at it's creamy goodness followed by a sigh, "Shame. Pudding is done." The female's pout turned into a grin directed towards James as she felt Lily's lips kiss the top of her head. She knew she was on good terms with her. The pair of best-friends or more likely sisters rarely fought, to think of it their arguments were only concerning one thing, Snape. That or the fact that Lily keeps pestering Marlene to actually grab a book and a piece of parchment and study. Although being clever Marlene had always preferred a broom and physical activities over studying. The evil grin directed towards James intensified, "Hmm you're right my dear James, I may be impossible to get along with... however I got more kisses from Evans than you have ever wished for." she remarked wriggling her eyebrows at him before lifting her head up from Lily's shoulder. "And you ... my dear Lils are nowhere near being held back! You're as free as a bird!" she gave her a chuckled before her eyes darted toward's pudding bowl that Remus offered Lily, staring at it hungrily. That was until Sirius asked a question that Lily proceeded to answer. Lily's summer was basically her Summer minus the fear of getting on a broom. Marlene would die with that fear. Flying was her safe haven.

She was still annoyed at the bloke for what he was trying to pull in the dormitories so her

reply to that was rather... sour. "Well that's a rather empty question now is it Black? You were right next door the whole Summer tagging along with James so you should know what we have been up to," she replied with a sarcastic smile before actually laying her light green eyes on him. "Or do you keep needing me to remind you on how I beat your ass in Quidditch?" she said with a now meaningful grin. In reality the couple had to work together to keep a game on track and their co-ordination kept getting better and better within each game. However a friendly game against one another was always joyous. Feeling the warmth hug her body as she flew, turning into a slight breeze.

As the feast, once again, came to an end it was time to go by the usual late night fly. Of course, trying to persuade Lily, which happened to be a prefect, didn't like allowing. That being said it seemed that it was best to leave it for the night and simply hang with her until prefect duty calls. It was not like she was going to sleep anyways, she just hoped that someone would be lurking around the common room... or the halls. Preferably the latter.

She signaled Lily to make their way to Gryffindor Tower with the others, however James had decided to take a little detour before heading to the Common room. Something that most probably will be fun to watch but it was best avoided at that point. Looping her arm through Lily's she let out a sigh, "Okay... please don't force me to start my studies from Day 1 ... or I'll hate you forever." she remarked, despite being serious it was hardly likely for the red-head to be hated.

As Sirius brought up his precious motorbike she frowned, "Hmm... I'd rather ride it than see pictures of it."

Lily rolled her eyes as Marlene jabbed at James because of her little peck but almost instantly lit up as Remus pushed his bowl of pudding towards her. "Oh Merlin, Remus!", she exclaimed happy almost instantly abandoning her best-est of friends. "You're my hero, darling!", she said happy and continued "Really. You're amazing! Thank you!" She smiled happy and leaned over to Remus giving him a kiss on his cheek. It left a small imprint of her red lipstick on his skin but she couldn't be bothered. In fact she picked up both the bowl and a spoon to start eating it. Yet she eyed both Marlene and James suspiciously. No-one was getting anything from her pudding. She would make sure of that. For her it was all fun and games until someone decided to steal her food. So here she was grinning from ear to ear while almost moaning happy at the taste of her - former Remus's - pudding while she had eye contact with James. But almost instantly she turned back to Remus and sighed happy to mock James even more "God, Remus you're satisfying me!" She had so much fun mocking James about any topic which involved kissing anyone else but him especially after he stole her pudding.


James's comment made her roll her eyes. She knew it was just a saying but with him she was never sure if he actually meant things like that or if it was just a joke. That bloke would never learn that she did not want to have everything but just some peace from his childish pranks. But perhaps this year would be calmer for her as she didn't plan to hang around Severus anymore.


The feast came to an end and Lily rose to her feet. She followed her friends out of the Great Hall and instinctively turned towards the stairs so they would be able to get to the common room. Yet Potter and Black seemed to need a moment longer than necessary. "The motorbike you've been working on over the summer?", Lily asked curiously. She was still surprised that Sirius had purchased a Muggle motorbike to upgrade it with various gadgets. 


Her attention switched to Marlene and she grinned at her mischievous "Oh please, you wouldn't hate me! In fact you would be absolutely nothing without me.
