i love the diversity, especially the ways everyone has bent their clan's powers to create something unique
me too, can't wait to see them interact!
by the way, i had a question. im new to RPing and im still getting used to the terms such as godmodding and powerplaying (i understand what they mean). but im still confused on how we'd make our players interact through verbalisation such as dialogue, for example if player 1's character asked player 2's character a question, would player 1 wait on player 2's response before posting their reaction to said response? or is there an alternative way to do this?
if possible, i'd prefer to have some of the later posts in the rp thread so i can read/comprehend the formatting, this is one of my first rps and im seriously worried im gonna screw something up... sorry for so many questions

that's usually how it goes, yes! just like you described - player 1 posts the start of whatever interaction, then they wait for player 2 to continue it through a post, and it flows like that.

i've heard cases of interactions being done collectively; basically, instead of waiting for one another to progress the interaction, it's written in things like a collaborative google doc, or just progressively written in private messages and the end result is eventually posted in whatever in-character thread. i haven't had the opportunity to do something like this, so don't fully take my word about this alternative way. all of this info i’ve heard second-hand.

i'm certain there's more, but those are the only two i know.

if possible, i'd prefer to have some of the later posts in the rp thread so i can read/comprehend the formatting,

i’m not 100% sure what you mean by this, but all rp posts should be inserted into one thread to keep things tidy. obviously, i’m not the GM so i can’t say how the posts are going to be conducted, but that’s the standard and preferred way.

also, don’t worry at all! questions are accepted with open arms. it's always better to ask instead of leaving yourself clueless because you thought they were "too many" or "stupid/obvious". there's no bad questions, and there's no wrong time to ask them! if you have any more, don't hesitate to ask!!

I understood the second one, and that's fully fine. In being one of the last ones to post on a certain scenario to learn how this is done- a lot of people do that and there's nothing wrong with it.


The main thing I'm wondering is... Do the clans merge for school or- does each clan have their own classes?

can i just say that i love keir? especially the little “male, but in an androgynous way”. silly little creature.

i’m up for cooking some pre-existing relationships as well. really eyeing the ‘enemies’. nohea’s a bit of an energetic shithead, and by seeing how keir seems, i can see them kind-of getting irritated at each other but in a silly goofy fun way. something along the lines of frenemies?

I dig the frenemies! They're in the same clan, so they'd have some obligation to watch each other's backs, but man, Nohea's bubbly exterior would likely irritate Keir and Keir's coldness would probably drive Nohea up the nearest wall.

I feel like if Ayane and Keir had a chance to talk, Ayane would probably be sympathetic to him, but given that they're in different clans and depending on what Keir does to get to the top of the school, I think they'll probably be more along the lines of enemies, but where Ayane could somewhat understand his motivations.

I believe Keir would have a soft spot for Ayane's vigilantism, and admires that about her, but Keir's history of being a bit of a bully himself would definitely drive that ridge between them.

Thought: It would be very interesting if Ayane and Keir even came from the same school, previous to Astral High, since both seemed to have a rampant bullying problem aha.

glad you like it! i can already imagine keir and nohea bickering often due to their clashing personalities and ideals. like, they normally don’t get along at all, but in a fight? their powers and styles could be super dynamic together, but the moment the fight ends they go back to hating eachother.

i don’t doubt they’d have their little friend moments out of fighting, imagine the both of them geeking out over the same videogame like they’ve been lifelong friends, and five minutes after they’re back to arguing like nothing. like, they care about each other, but they also hate each other.

Ayane is expelled for beating up the bullies, Keir is expelled for being around the bullies. Both have an injustice against them by the school administration but for different reasons. ~Narrative Foils~

Blood manipulation? I love that, it seems very tactical, with a reasonable downside. I honestly can't wait to see what other people have planned and how it will all work with, and against, each other!
