It has been seventy years since the world of science and reason that humanity had built itself up upon had been stolen from them. An event occurred one fateful summer, when suddenly all around the world massive castles began to appear in the sky above countries which were then surrounded by fields. Within this fields further divisions were made by smaller castles, denoting areas as 'Servers' and the people within as 'Players'. After this an announcement was made to all the world at once in the speakers native tongue.

"Welcome to Lunar Tale, your world has been chosen to participate in a game to decide the fate of your species. The dreadful demon lord has taken residence on your moon, and the gateway to said moon is protected by the Holy Temples above your heads. Each person in the world will be given a Class and Rank to allow survival in this game. And with that comes the first and longest story quest. 'Retake the Moon'. The time limit of this quest is one hundred years, failure to do so will result in a global 'Game Over'. The Administration wishes you the best while tackling this crisis."

With those words said monsters began to flood into the world all across the land, and strange powers were awoken in humanity that allowed them to struggle against them. After fifty years of endless struggle some areas have returned to a sense of normality, strongholds errected by various groups against the creatures. Areas where the Local 'Temples' were destroyed were considered safe areas where monsters couldn't spawn, but without taking out the small Temples around the city the larger ones hovering over the country would never be able to be tackled. Those who lead the frontlines have become effected by age, giving rise to a new era of adventures.

Setting out from 'Camelot', a human nation established within the city known as London a select group of young men and women will enter into the game in order to pursue a chance at reclaiming the world from the system and with it their destiny.

Welcome to Lunar Reclaim, a game where players will take on a world turned into an RPG with deadly consequences. Players will take the role of those born after the systems beginning who have only known this world but have never engaged in the larger 'game' itself until crossing into the zone controlled by a Temple. Once within the boundary they will be given a Class and Rank in accordance with the system. Afterward they will need to tackle quests, gain 'levels' and find equipment with the ultimate goal of destroying the massive Temples over the cities and collecting the keys needed to bring down the massive Temples over Europe.

Terms

  • System': A short hand for the game like system that has overtaken the world, allowing for things like magic or instant enhancement of a body in accordance with its rules.
  • Administration: A mysterious group of individuals that exist to hand out quests and deal with potential problems. They appear rarely but are godlike with their power and impossible to overcome. Any attempt to harm an 'Admin' will result in a 'system warning' that will instantly drop them to level 1.
  • Class: A specialized descriptor for the power and abilities granted by the system to a player. A warrior might have an amazing physical strength, while a mage can cast spells.
  • Rank: A star system that extends from 1-5 that denotes the power of a specific class. Low Ranking classes have stronger early game stats but tends to not have a vast growth of abilities and powers later on. High ranking classes start out weak and with few advantages, but their growth is astronomical.
  • Temple: Large buildings containing deific like 'Overlord' Monsters that float over various cities and nations of the world. Special quests have to be overtaken to open one, but once defeated the area will become a 'safe zone' that prevents monsters or the system from being used there.
