  Hello! I'm a new Potato trying to make new RP friends. I am usually quick to reply but also try and communicate with my partner regardless, lately things have been a bit up and down but I'm still doing my best.
  
  I like to plot, even if we're doing so as we write. My best partners check in "How's this?" or "Would your character do xyz?" while we write because we want to ensure everyone is having a good time. I also feel like a bit of pre-rp plotting helps us get a sense of the others interest.
  
  I am a woman of color and I will not hesitate to tell you if something hits wrong, that said I do encourage that if you feel comfortable doing so that people feel free to play outside of their own ethnic group. Writing is about exploration (lord knows I've never been a rich white man but I sure have written one). I'm still getting into the swing of things on RPN so please be patient.
  
  I prefer real person face claims, but they're not a hard rule. I don't care if you use AI art, it's a tool and most images people use are someone else's art. AI Art as a tool is an intended usage.

  These rules are about me communicating the way my brain works, not me saying anything you're into is bad or wrong, it's just not for me, and that's okay! I want you to thrive too, not be set up for failure or held back by me.
  
  Do not rush or pester me. My mom is sick and I'm taking care of her + the house. If you get huffy with me about time, I will dip.
  
  OOC communication is a must. Like let's talk about the rp, about nothing, everything, what else are you into? I'm not saying we have to talk constantly or regularly, but I'm person too.
  
  No furries or ABO rp please. It's just not my jam.
  
  I prefer to write on discord and will gladly make us a server, in part because I'm still learning rpn and in part because of the ease of not having multiple threads to jump between, but if you want to do short single para (mostly) thread I'm pretty down for that, if you wanted to use gifs or icons that would also work for me.
  
  I prefer long term partners. I prefer we build our RP together, I'm not here to fulfil your fantasy. I absolute refuse anything less than collaborative effort. I like to write angst as it makes even the fluffiest fluff more worth it. I like to throw wrenches into our character's plans and ruin their days with ~*~trauma~*~.
  
  No minors please. I'm not comfortable being your designated adult. I prefer partners who are at least in their late 20s. The vibes are just different when you're old.
  
  I have no triggered but please let me know yours.
  
  Third Person, Past Tense, is a must for me. I prefer 1-4 paragraphs. Between like 250 and 4000 words, it's a huge range but I've done all of it in the same rp. I adjust to fit the situation. I'm unbothered by short dialogue replies as long as your reply is a 'yes, and' or 'no, but'. I will not carry the plot alone, we have to work together.
  
  I am comfortable writing most pairings but I will not write a trans person as I'm still doing a lot of learning and don't wish to be disrespectful. That said, I will not play that one specific male character you have in mind so please don't ask (unless we're already partners).

  If you want to ask me about a fandom and it's not on here, the answer is likely no, please don't try and gaslight me by pitching your fandom plot as an original idea either, I will google things. I prefer OCxOC or an exchange of CanonxOC for each other that makes sense in the plot. I have few Canon x Canon ships (Natasha x Steve, Warden x Morrigan wlw). I want to craft a story then pick canon characters if I'm going to play them. I love doing AUs as well. I want ti to make sense for both of us.

  Muse A meets Muse B at a party, they hit it off and sparks fly. The next time they find out that Muse B is the new love interest of one of their friends. This can become an affair, a break up and secret romance, a distain for each other because they're embarrassed. Let's figure out what we're into. I'd like to have this include a cast of characters so when we're bored of one set we can play another and so on.

  I love a good soulmate AU. I'm most interested in running this with characters who cannot or refuse to be together. Either OCs who have feuding family, or can't stand one another, or characters like Cap and Natasha who have continuously danced around their feelings for obvious reasons (like a 60 year romance with their bestie). I want this connection to be as much a comfort as a torture. A weight they have to carry.

  Muse A is a college drop out who works as a waiter but spends their free time crashing parties thrown by the rich and irresponsible. Muse A only has 1 designer dress and 1 nice pair of shoes. There are almost always free drinks and Muse A rather likes to observe the other side of life. Muse B is a socialite and has seen Muse A come to these parties before, usual getting a drink and sitting by themself. This time Muse B decides to talk to Muse A, Muse A, half drunkenly gives criticisms of their social circle, expected to annoy the stranger into leaving. Muse B is instead amused and asked Muse A for their number.

  BIOGRAPHY

  
  Born Nov 10th 1991. Not much is known to Magdalina about the circumstances of her birth other than her parents left to her to the charge of her uncle (or so he claimed to be). She wasn't an altogether unhappy child thanks to the kindness she received from the Müller family (Hans and Delmira who had two children Lina's age Cordelia and Christoph who were twins) and ballet, her one and true outlet. Lina loved Ballet more than anything, and that love stifled her as much as it freed her. Upsetting her uncle(who had more than once threatened to break her legs) was something she couldn't afford.
  
  The twins were the only real friends Lina had made, though they were more than enough for her. As they grew older, Lina fell in love with Christoph, though she didn't have the self-esteem to talk to the boy she'd placed on high. Her high school years were rebellious, parties, boys, girls, cigarettes and weed, any way she could act out without actually finding herself in trouble not wanting to push Ivan too far. It wasn't until her senior year, on the day she turned 17½ did she dare to leave, staying with the Müllers until she went on to Julliard, making a few more and eventually leading her to work for the Joffrey.

  Lucy was born the product of a mutually beneficial union. Her mother was all and everything Lucy knew for the first 12 years of her life. She taught Lucy how to wield the magic that had been passed mother to daughter for generations. Despite her diligent studies however, Lucy's nature was not the practiced ritual magic of her mother, rather it seemed to tap into her very mood and intention. She'd hid her powers for a long time, as superstition ran high among those in her township.
  
  The day she was discovered was the day her father came to claim her, severing her from the life she knew before and moving her to England. Despite all things, he was not cruel, rather focused on her studies. She had 2 tutors and a governess. One focused on her traditional school, one taught her magic. Tom was often gone, the last time she'd seen him was on her 16th birthday, where he gifted her a grimoire passed down in their family. Tom didn't return, however. Lucy studied for months. It was December when she found a spell on transference that caused a violent but murky vision. Lucy, who was a smart enough girl, took whatever she could when she left, letting her father give to her monetarily in ways he would never otherwise. From there she moved around, eventually settling into her shop.
  
  Lucy's magic does not come freely and excessive use can leave her weakened. Her everyday use usually makes her feel constantly cold as is, her normal internal temp is around 92.7 which leads her to learn very quickly to avoid hospitals as they constantly attempt to treat her for hypothermia.

  Douglas Stone grew up in council housing in East London. Duggy was the youngest of 3. His mother Nina loved him dearly and even his eldest sibling, his sister Sharin who was usually quite easy on him compared to the harshness for which she generally regarded their middle sibling, Darren. At the age of 6, his father took off. Nina eventually remarried a man named Jameson, he tried to do right by them, though Darren frequently butted heads with Jameson.
  When Duggy was nearly 9, Darren (then 16) had gotten into trouble at school. Jameson had brought him home and they argued, Jameson, more hot headed than usual and Darren, determined to press all of his buttons. Time passed quickly and the first full moon of September rose. Jameson’s transformation had surprised the boys and while Darren tried to keep Duggy from the beast, he failed. Both boys were lucky to escape with their lives, a fate they would not share with Nina or Sharin.
  The boys, then abandoned by their stepfather, stayed in London for two years, doing their best to keep their beast secret. After Darren was 18 however they moved stateside. Douglas struggled with what he was and threw himself into his studies, eventually returning to school. He has more or less accepted the beast now, though it still haunts him.

  Darius was created as a character to take the roll of 'Ginger Ale' for a Statesmen RP, I would still be interested in playing this out, but I am not apposed to adapting him to other worlds. Here's his bio:
  
  Excelling in life was never difficult for Darius as he always found himself striving for more. Maybe it was normal for immigrant children like himself to push themselves harder. Maybe he had once needed to prove himself to the father that he would never be good enough for, or maybe he needed to succeed to know he deserved better.
  
  He was born in Jacmel, Haiti. Immediately, he was ahead of the curve, talking, crawling, and even walking sooner than other children. His mother spoiled his every whim in attempt to make up for his emotionally distant and often cruel father. Darius wanted for nothing. At the age of 10 his parents moved to North Carolina. With money, and superb test scored, he was accepted into a prestigious charter school. By the time he was 16 he was graduating from High School and went immediately to Duke University. He left Duke with 3 AAs in math and science and moved to NYC where he pursued bio-engineering.

  please don't approach me asking for any canon without a plot. I'm more than willing to play canon characters but I like to play characters that make sense to the plot we're working. My issue with a lot of the 'play this for my that' is that it eliminates a lot of motion. I don't always know if I'm going to be feeling a ship. If you want OC x Canon and we haven't played together, I can't promise I'm going to be into it, and if I'm not having fun, that's a job. So while I am inclined towards romantic pairs, if I'm not vibing, I don't want to do it. I prefer playing Canons in either AUs or storylines closer to canon (like filling in gaps). I don't have interest in writing MCU or DCEU.
