The Yates Cabin
[div class="accentheader"] with [/div] | Wes | Leigh |
[div class="accentheader"] tags [/div] unscripted Clownery [/div] [div class="bodytext"] After all was said and done, as awkward as it had been, Wes had gotten to showing everyone their rooms.. As apparently they had room assignments. For the second time today, Seo-Yeon found herself in the position where she'd be lying if she said she wasn't bothered by something. Though she supposed it would have been kind of awkward if everyone was left to basically choose who they wanted to be with the most. Wes spoke again however, pulling her from her thoughts and back into the present.
First to be called was Sherry, who was getting a room for just her and her baby. Lucky. As much as she liked babies, Seo-Yeon definitely would have preferred taking their place as the only one with their 'own' room. Then again, maybe the task of having to look after a baby would be far more exhausting than having any roommate at all. Up next was Marcus and Beau, thank god. The last thing she'd want is to share a room with Marcus. For obvious reasons. Beau.. Might have been a good roommate, but his sudden disappearance might have been awkward.
Emilio and Zoey, she suppo--Wait. Her attention abruptly concentrated on Leigh, who was standing not too far from where she was. If everyone else was already paired, then that would mean that Leigh was going to be her roommate. Assuming Wes was getting his own room of course, it was his family's cabin after all.. Had he said which room he was staying in? Shit, she hadn't been paying attention. "Your room is down here." The man in question said now, referring to none other than Leigh and Seo-Yeon herself of course. Confirming the latter's assumption.
Oh god. Was her instant first thought upon feeling the tenseness of their walk down the hall and towards their room. Remembering what had gone on between Wes and Leigh back in high school. Practically being able to feel the 'things that should have been said' between the two as they approached the room. Wes showing them inside and wishing them a comfortable stay. "Thanks, Wes." She said with her own, return smile. And Leigh wasted little time in claiming the bed by the window, not that Seo-Yeon minded at all. "Sure." She replied, beginning to unpack her own bags in the corner of the room.
As she unpacked however, her thoughts begun to draw back towards her new roommate. Wondering if after all these years, Leigh still had that attitude of hers. And if she still held some resentment from 'the Incident'. Seo-Yeon had been sure and confident of her actions at the time, but had grown to feel some embarrassment about it since. It was such an awkward thing to do, to call someone out as openly and plainly as that. Fundamentally, she still thought she was in the right. Leigh was always being unnecessarily mean to people, and Seo-Yeon had become sick of it. Having thought she'd no longer have to put up with that kind of false personality after she left Korea. Weren't Americans supposed to be more honest about their feelings? She could recall thinking at the time.
And that had all culminated in the incident. But it was ten years ago, and hell, she hadn't even really thought about in those past ten years up until just then. If she had, then maybe her decision to come to this reunion may not have been so quickly made.
Feeling a pair of eyes on her, she gave a brief glance over her shoulder to the woman next to the window. Is she watching me? Letting out as nonchalant of a cough as was possible, Seo-Yeon took the somewhat tense moment of silence to speak up. "So, how have you been, Leigh?" She asked, as honest a question as could be. The intent being out of her own genuine curiosity, and to some extent to observe Leigh's reaction to her attempt at conversation. The tone set today could potentially establish how the rest of their stay here was going to go.
Leigh was still as pretty as ever. All that left to determine was whether or not her attitude had gotten any prettier. Which was ironic coming from Seo-Yeon to some extent. [/div] [/div] [/div] [/div] [/div]
