Limitless Possibilities
Hey there! I've been gone for some time but I've recently had cravings for doing a fun sci-fi adventure of sorts and would love some help. Preferably I would like someone who enjoys writing lengthier posts with some flavorful description and color. I don't expect anyone to be an English major and typos and light grammatical errors are one-hundred percent passed over by me without a care. This will probably be one of the only two roleplays I will be starting for a while so it would be lovely to get someone who really wants to get into a deep dive. However, we all get busy, so even if you respond three days later or a week I will try and check up occasionally and respond. Overall I just want a juicy and fun roleplay full of adventure and intrigue.
Plot
The general idea is for MC, a lone-wolf mercenary bounty hunter picking up jobs across the galaxy to get tied up in a predicament larger than himself because of YC. YC is wanted somehow, BIG TIME, either she has some sort of trait, or object that is vital in the power struggle between two factions. MC is tasked with escorting her somewhere with the magnitude of her cause unknown to him. My idea was that she was either captured and asked by the faction to transport her safely somewhere to reap the benefits of capturing her and she convinces the mercenary to choose her side against the faction, or she is on her way somewhere and needs the assistance of the mercenary. YC isn't some powerless princess though, she's survived for a reason and is probably quite the badass, but it doesn't hurt to have the help of another badass. Either way, he has a bounty for helping her in any way and perhaps even sticks around cause he has the urge to do the right thing. Both of them dealing with a hopeless situation against a threat far bigger than the both of them.
A relationship is expected between the two and can be at varying degrees of success.
Any of this can be revised and I would love to talk about it! I like doing character sheets but that can be set up in the DM.
Extra Ideas
Here's some extra plot ideas for this if anyone is r e a l l y interested.
- YC has special powers that make her good in combat, both of these factions want her blood in hopes to infuse their soldiers and make an army of super soldiers that would be impossible to defeat.
- YC has an artifact that exhibits wonderful abilities at her will. However it's biologically bound to her and killing her would deactivate the device and render it useless.
- YC is the warrior princess of a powerful warmongering faction and is on the run, hoping to find someone to help her assassinate her father the king.
-Maybe YC has a special background that has landed her in possession of a powerful item that can end life in the universe or would give any one faction absolute power and needs to deliver safely to an ancient space temple to ensure it protection for eternity and must not let anyone get to it. They are hunted by a number of different factions and space cults on their journey.
