Eileen had begun wandering down the long, reaching halls of the castle; she intended to explain to her majesty the situation that went on with her and Fairmann. The Lady in Waiting didn't want the queen to distrust her because of an incident that happened when Eileen thought she had passed out. It could make her look bad, meaning that Amara could spread deceit about her, threatening her family and her chances of finding a suitable suitor. The girl would have to think of reasons now, just in case the child queen wouldn't take it as smoothly as she had hoped.

Could she say that fear wracked her body, and that made her say such things? Or how about, she doesn't want the kingdom to fall to the Delgouns and it always worries her so. Whatever it was, it had to be respectable and make sense. Within this, she could throw no sly comments or carry any disrespectful demeanours. The queen had to suspect this was a genuine feeling carried by Eileen; Fairmann also has to suspect as it appears he carries some sway within court. How disappointing that he does, but what could she do?

That was it...Eileen would have to find a way to discredit Fairmann. She would have to change peoples opinions of him; through blackmail, distortion or simply 'exposing' him. He would not last to much longer with her around.

The girl had always believed that Fairmann and Amara had a romantic relationship together, what if she brought this up to Amara? Although she wasn't sure how the princess would react to such an accusation, Eileen knew that if this was brang up to her she would avoid that person for a long time (they do not match her title or worthiness). A reputation is like a brick wall, it's always easier to knock down than build up.

The girl had gotten lost in her thoughts, until she had reached the doors of the princess.
Knock. Knock.
"Your Majesty," Eileen spoke in a gentle voice, "Am I allowed in, I desire to speak with you."

Claudia had arrived in the library and had started on the old castle records. Her sudden arrival in such unusual clothing had been a surprise to the old book keeper, who had thought she some servant skipping work. After a brief explanation, Claudia not revealing any of her true intentions, the book keeper had shown her to the records and then shuffled away as per Claudia's request. It wasn't too long before Claudia had found what the stranger had meant when he expressed knowing the princess when she was a child. He had been a crusader. And a particularly fervent one at that. There were several notes by fellow officers that had described his almost, enthusiasm, for the war, even going as far to say that some priests had worried about his bloodlust for taking lives. He'd been gifted honours but the speech's that accompanied each accolade carried some grim undertones. He had done his duty with great diligence but as time went on the concerns of several officers noting his enjoyment at such tasks had resulted in them feeling uncertain in his company. Claudia sat and pondered this for a second. He had been so loyal to the crown and religion and yet upon the ending of the crusade there was no further mention of him within the castle. On this matter Claudia would need the book keepers help. He furrowed his brow in thought before glancing up at her.

"I met him when they were celebrating the success of the crusaders. He seemed....Focused to say the least. A one track mind almost...he was so passionate in how he spoke, expressing all his energy into the one thing he felt most important. I remember how surprised they were when he gave the cloak up. It was almost like he vanished after that."

Claudia let out a small smile at the book keeper and thanked him before returning to her scrolls of parchment. She would keep Ieva's for now and tucked it into her boot before packing everything else away. A young boy, one of Claudia's spies whistled to her from behind a bookcase. They had uncovered some information and it was time for Claudia to begin her search on the streets.
