A Bumbling Neon Bee
A bumbling bee who likes to write
My name is Neon. I'm a 21 year old female, and I can generally be counted on to be geeking out in my spare time. I've been roleplaying for several years now, and moved here from gaiaonline as the RP scene just went down the drain for me. I consider myself to be from casual-adv lit although I'll generally be lit and stick to 1-5 paragraphs.
Romance is the most common theme in my roleplays so expect to see mainly plots for that, although I'll generally throw in a bit of sci-fi, action, fantasy and adventure to keep things interesting and original. I love the classic themes, taking them, and making them into something new and interesting. I also love AI, robots, aliens, elves and such, although I'm iffy about Anthros (I'm fine with alien-esque creatures, but feel weird about full on furries, but each to their own) and would most likely use them in a platonic way only.
?No sexual content; none. I won't write with you if you write it, and it just makes me uncomfortable; if you reply to this thread in search of RP, I am assuming you are clean.
?Keep it PG-13- so no smut shmuck, not even timeskipping when it comes to romance, and no dark themes and general messed up stuff. If you like dark themes* we simply won't get along (*if you want me to clarify, message me).
?Be 18+, I'm an adult myself and would like to write with people in a similar age group as mine for romance oriented plots, which you can expect much of.
?I prefer threads or email.
?Hetero pairings only, and I like to write females only, excluding side-characters.
?Semi-lit to literate is preferred, although I'm open to casual.
?Anime for picture references please. I'm not fond of using irl pictures, just find it a little weird but I can be swayed if it's a particular plot, although I'd rather use artwork or just not use a reference image.
??=action/adventure, ?=romance, ?=mystery, ?=medieval,
?=sci-fi.
?Want a profile or an sample of my writing? I have a few, so don't be afraid to ask for one.
?If you read this, paste the pencil symbol.
Simple enough right? Oh & didja paste the thing? The thing that tells me you read the rules? If you did, great! We should get along just fine!
Time for the plots!
?Forgotten Royalty (? ?)
Ever wondered what it would be like if a whole lineage of royalty just...disappeared? It happened on a planet, very far away. Eryion, was a planet like many others, inhabited by creatures very much like humans themselves, albeit with their own abilities and variations in appearance; they had light hair, from slate grey, white, to platinum blonde. Their skin often appeared to be like polished stone in places, appearing sometimes soft as a peach or as 'soft' as carefully polished marble stone. There was a reason for this; their life source was mineral bases. They could draw it from the rocky planet they lived on at will, and depending on what they absorbed, it often became visible in their appearance. These beings lived for twice as long as the average human, and had built a sophisticated society hidden in the maze like cave passages through the rocky terrain. A wondrous city, encased carefully in rock.
Soon, when Earth became crowded, the humans searched for new territory. Eryion, was almost the perfect choice. It had plenty of space, and precious metals; it even had wild-life abound that was relatively untouched by the beings who already lived there. Driven by desperation, Humanity decided to try to negotiate a deal with the beings that lived there, but they didn't want to be disturbed. Humans couldn't live here without damaging the environment; they needed food, fuels, and had already set to mining. Their answer was no. Driven by desperation, Humanity started a war, and although the people of Eryion were as advanced a race as the humans, the race was almost entirely eliminated, save for only 10% of the original population. One of these people, was descended from royalty; a lineage that had been long forgotten, and she was strong, a hard working woman who had come very far in life. And now, she was to find her true place in the world.
?Modern Cinderella (? ? ?)
Based off of Cendrillon (vocaloid). 'Cinderella', is an ordinary woman struggling to make a living in a dead end job. Her flat is small and not the best, but it did the job, and was as cheap as you can get. Her in-laws had refused to let her move into their house, despite her working at their mansion as a cleaner. She worked a simple office job during the day, and cleaned for most of the evening to make ends meet. Cinders was known for being hard-working, and grateful for what she had, and for also being skilled at the jobs she did, even if they were minimum wage every-day jobs. But then, the economy changed, and it was even harder than before to make ends meet. One particularly manipulative landlord insisted that he needed more money from the town if he was ever to improve it, but in reality just wanted as much coin as he could have. But then, there was the mayor's son, who as his father was getting older, was planning to take his father's place and had made a point of saying he would stamp out such activity. The landlord wanted him dead; and who better to take up the role other than a poor yet skilled woman? Promised wealth, and even convinced that the Mayor and his family was just as bad as the rest of the money leeching wealthy citizens of the town, 'Cinderella' was on the scene.
?Sci-fi Beauty & The Beast (? ? ? ? ?)
'Beauty' being an average citizen of the future, and 'Beast' really being a very powerful rich man who a poor woman lashed out at because of the way the poor are mistreated in the future. The richest get the best medication, and generally live up to be up to two hundred years old, their ageing slowed and stopped in their mid-twenties, whereas the middle/working class live to a comfortable life of around one hundred years. The poor live for as long as they can, and that is that.
The 'Beast', is an average rich man, who hasn't had to work for much, although he takes great pride in his heritage. His job is simple, to talk to clients who needed medication and life prolonging care. He couldn't help having to turn down a poor lady who offered him a 'precious' medicine in a syringe, in exchange for one round of treatment, but the way he looked down on her and his attitude cost him dearly. She simply took out another syringe and attacked him, and every night since, he morphed into an animal, a beast. And the beast locked himself away, believing there was no 'cure' to his disease. The poor woman had rambled on about 'true love' being the only savior for him, but he had dismissed it. He had been attacked by a mad woman with a syringe; 'true love' curing a disease was scientifically impossible, everyone knew that.
(This plot can be reverted back to the original medieval setting, so if you want something like that don't be afraid to ask, although I am looking for mostly sci-fi here.)
?New world (? ? ? ?)
The two races were very different and had been at war for many years but now at last, the war was over and peace was at hand. Almost. There were still rising tensions between the Elves and Humans, and well you can guess why. Elves preferred nature and despised the destructive way of the humans, whereas for humans, building was their way of life. A uncertain peace was granted to them all, but there were certain limitations to how well they got along. They decided the best thing to do was split up the land between the two races evenly.
Passage to each others land require much negotiation, and tensions were admittedly high. Last year, there had been several small wars, which had been quickly snuffed out but it sent a message; not everyone was happy about having to share. And when an Elven ship carrying a member of the Royal family crashed, and they could not find said Royal, many began to speculate about the true origins of the shipwreck. Ilrune was lucky to land safely on human shores, but nobody knew she was alive and her people were naturally worried. The humans welcomed her and looked after her well enough.
In fact, things went well. The fact that the humans had looked after the royal improved relations between the two races greatly. The two races finally put their differences aside, then decided they would team up to explore a large area of land neither race knew much about. The humans had the technology, the Elves the knowledge of their planet.
?Framed! (? ? ?)
They are not a criminal, they are innocent and had been framed, and now, many were believing this web of lies that had trapped this person. They decide to lay low, but a detective eventually decides its time to wrap up this case. But the detective is misjudged, and is seen as merely an accomplice to a false crime. Before they know it, they are forced to work together; they need information, to find the truth, then they'd be able to not only wrap up a case, but prove their innocence once and for all. But it isn't easy to avoid getting to know one another, when you're stuck together.
?Sci-fi Little Mermaid (? ? ? ?)
The Little Mermaid was a result of unexplained evolution which began to occur when the world's seas began to overflow. It was even said that there were people who had grown wings, and had been able to fly high up to unreachable but still habitable areas of land. Many humans lived now in floating bubble like house-ships, charged by the sun, and the richest of the humans had the best pick of what land remained, whereas the poor and homeless were often put onto the less favourable ships and areas of land. Life wasn't easy, and it wasn't long until these evolutionized humans found themselves the centre of attention. They helped explore the sea, and even managed to live underwater for indefinite amounts of time, and often saved many human lives. These merpeople were the future.
This one is WIP. I'm thinking along the same lines as the original (more tragic maybe) tale, but with a twist to it that I've yet to think of)
