It was a simple enough text, sent by Akira to Yusuke and Ryuji. The three often had conversations spanning into the night, where Ryuji and Akira would have a back-and-forth that Yusuke occasionally chimed in on of when his attention was removed briefly from his art by the incessant buzzing of his phone.
Of course, this one was a bit different. Nobody was expecting, a day or two before summer break started for them all, for Akira to sent them a message mentioning that he was coming back to Tokyo to spend the summer until school began back in his hometown. And of course, there was excitement over it-especially in the case of Ryuji and Yusuke. Of course the former thieves were happy too-especially since Ryuji had mentioned coming back for the summer as well-but a reunion for the three of them, after being separated for so long?
Bliss.

Ryuji could barely contain his excitement after receiving the message from Akira. It had been so long since they've spoken, him to Yusuke as well, really. Sure, they all video called sometimes and Ryuji spent hours into the night spamming their group chat - but this was an actual reunion! He couldn't wait.
He missed all the thieves after he had moved, but he understood they were all busy moving on with their lives as well. After a long conversation with his mother about his move, she supported that. Even to go as far as getting a new job for herself in Osaka so she could still be with him. Not that he minded of course, not in the least! In fact it made him extremely happy that she was there.
He felt the subway beginning to slow down as it reached the station. Ryuji whipped out his phone to text Akira and Yusuke that he arrived in Tokyo, when he caught a glimpse of his reflection on the screen. His hair was still blonde, but it did have a bit of black on top from his roots. He ran a hand through his hair a bit self consciously. Should he have dyed it before he came?

A prompt response from Akira-he would be in Tokyo, specifically Yongen-Jaya in roughly 20 minutes. A few moments passed, and Yusuke responded, too-one that he was waiting at the station. The blunette brushed his own hair back, looking up from his position against the wall, looking for Ryuji. Considering his uncommon yet somehow natural hair colour, the fact he was in a higher-collared, long-sleeved shirt in late July heat, and pretty much everything else about him... stood out.
Of course it wasn't just him, among friends-but alone in a crowd, he stood out. Yet thankfully, so did Ryuji as he waited for the other to step off the train, so he could approach. "There you are."
