I remember that 'the witch' was the villain, but she was just a troubled girl that was in love with a man that couldn't love her back. A man that shouldn't love her back.

I remember this scene...yes. Let me find it. It had to do with John Proctor intentionally leaving out one of the ten commandments because of his adultery with Abigail Williams.
