- Aileen is the best girl. That is all.
The goals/prepared routes of this RP is as follows:
Ryan ( Valkan )- After a romantic evening with Aileen, Ryan is all loved up! However, unfortunately for him, tensions are high! How was he supposed to know he would be forced to spend the cart trip to Kirkwall holding up in a cart with both Aileen and the woman he just scorned? And now he has to meet that woman's father in order to complete his task! What a terrible turn of events! Will Ryan be able to overcome this awkward encounter, win the girl and get back to Stonewall in one piece? Will Cynthia get the picnic she asked for and a chance to clear the air/appologise? Only time will tell.
Retili ( conman2163 ) - Collecting a census is no easy goal and though the people of Kirkwall are all to willing to help in doing so, there is one group among them that may take some convincing. The fae Elves that live in the depths of the Kirkwall forest are isolationists. They seldom deal with outsiders. How will Retili overcome this? Will he complete his census with or without those faes included?
Micah ( DuckPrince )- Starting up a ranch is no easy task and it requires a lot of hard work and effort. Though fun fact, it also requires horses! Hearing rumours a pack of roaming horses on the way to Kirkwall, Micah may just have found himself favoured by luck. Can he brake one of those horses? Should he? It's all up to his actions and perhaps even someone else's...
Teuihua ( TheTimePiece )- A golem in kirkwall!? Being a border town that was once a battleground with the east and its constructs. Well, it's safe to say Teuihua is not a welcome sight. Reaching Borderhill, Teuihua may just find some remnants of his past life or indeed some insight into how exactly and why his kind are looked upon with such disdain in this area. Can he earn any trust and more importantly, will he make it back to Stonewall unharmed?
Regula ( Elvario )- Being the new baroness is a tough job. Although she seemed to be at least welcome in the other areas of her Barony something about Kirkwall just doesn't seem right. Why is everyone so on edge around her? Why does no one wish to engage in talks about how the area is doing? Is something going on?
Country of Ryken, County of Sadek, Barony of Caelia. Kirkwall Outskirts: Main Road.
Time: 12:30 Weather: Clear skies.
Following the celebrations in Sootspire, and after a well-deserved rest, everyone in the group soon set off for Kirkwall. Well almost everyone that is. Ethel, Aria, Sherwood and Saffron decided it best to return to Stonewall following some sore heads that morning as well as to attend jobs requiring their attention. And so actually it was after a quick morning goodbye that the group set off, Teuihua carrying a wagon of processed ore with him this time around.
Rocky and bumpy hills soon turned to vast stretches of meadow once again and as if the gods themselves were joyous about the festive night before, the day was radiant. A gentle breeze, warm sun rays and fluffy white clouds blessed our group's travels. At one point, the Baroness had even spotted a small herd of deer watching them from afar, a lovely sight appreciated by Amanda and Cynthia in particular. Oh, Cynthia, that's right! After her stern talking to at the hands of Ryan and the misunderstanding between herself and the Baroness, Cynthia was invited to travel home with the group. Riding on the cart alongside her cousin and Ryan, tensions were quite high. Or at least it seemed that way for the first hour, by the second Cynthia and Aileen were all talk. Discussing anything and everything save for Ryan. Perhaps that was for the best.
Micah had heard rumours of wild horses that needed taming in the region but unfortunately, the deer were as close as he came to catching a glimpse of anything horselike outside his own and Amanda's. Perhaps he could find out more later, but for now, it seemed he was fresh out of luck.
Nearing the village now the group could spot several farms in the distance and fields filled with lively and healthy-looking crops. To those in the know, specifically, the captain, the sight of farm animals was most impressive. Cattle and sheep were both being kept and in quite a number at that. Stonewall, despite being the new capital had always struggled to keep animals, wolf attacks as well as bandits making it near impossible. Yet here, out in the boonies, those animals weren't just being kept, they were thriving! How!
Amanda seemed to be in great spirits, as did Cynthia. Home sweet home, Kirkwall would soon be coming into view! However, no sooner had the group passed a strange-looking standing stone did a large fireball come flying their way. Impacting the ground just a few feet in front of them the spell left a small crater in the soil and set the path ablaze. Spooking both horses Amanda and Micah had to act quickly in calming the animals down. Micah hadn't many issues in doing so but it took Amanda all she had to overcome her mounts rearing and attempts to shake her off.
???
Appearing out of a bush nearby a ginger-haired woman stood blocking their path, spell ready in hand. Anyone experienced enough in combat could tell with just a glance this woman meant business and that her next spell was not going to miss. "Identify yourselves and state your business, you've just entered the domain of Kirkwall. Now let it be known should any of you or that war machine encroach any further without doing so, I will be forced to take the appropriate measures."
Cynthia didn't seem too fazed by the situation, munching on a pastry she had prepared earlier while the woman spoke. Although Amanda seemed rather exhausted following her exchange with the horse she too seemed unfazed, if anything her eyes gave off the impression she had been here many times before but still refused to speak up. Whatever was happening the two natives seemed disinterested in helping out with this mess.
Raising her hand toward the group the woman's spell began to flare. Those with any ability to sense magic would be able to tell now, for certain, this woman was powerful. "Speak now or retreat!"
