The crew seemed a bit... perplexed. Wings? Now throwing hooks and shit. They were more perplexed to see a woman in trousers. Swords were drawn and revolvers pointed in her direction as the first mate kept the ship on course. Then again no one really knew what to do. No one had ever FLEWN onto their ship before so this was new and odd. The captain wasn't there so no orders had been issued. Although James had a strict no-killing without his orders rule. So perhaps throwing her in the brig?

And soon Jess'd find herself being rushed by a rather terrifying amount of dirty and filthy pirates.

Jess grinned, a feral, wild smile that would unnerve most any normal human. However, these were not normal humans. She held up her hands, weaponless for all accounts save for a pair of daggers she didn't really want to use. "Sorry fellas," she said slyly, elbowing one of the pirates in the face and then roundhouse kicking three others at once with a loud "HI-YAH!" sending them sprawling. She crouched under the swing of one and then sprung, backflipping over the circle of pirates, landing on the outside of the ring, then leaned casually against the mast, looking at her fingernails. "I'm a lot harder to take down than I look."
The pirates, to their credit, looked rather surprised but didn't back down. A pair of them rushed her, and she fought back valiantly, probably unlike any foe they had ever seen. She layered punch after punch and kick after kick, giving the two undead goons a brutal beating, even for an immortal zombie. The number went from two to four, then from four to eight, and then there were several upon her. She felt the jab of a fist in her back, and then a blow to her left cheek that sent her to the floor. She hopped right back up and continued fighting, face throbbing in pain, until two of the pirates had grabbed her by the arms. Using them as leverage, Jess brought both of her knees to her chest and kicked outward with all of her might, hitting two more pirates in the chests and sending them flying. The two pirates holding her didn't let go, but instead stepped on both of her feet so she couldn't move. She struggled and squirmed and bucked like an untamed mustang, but to no avail. "Starwing! Starwing, I need backup!" She yelled into her watch, hoping that it was on and praying that Celeste could hear her. She managed to wrench her hand free and lashed out at the unlucky pirate in front of her, catching him in the jaw and decking him effectively before her hand was grabbed by two more pirates, and the hold on both of her wrists doubled. "Let me go you slimy sea vermin!" She said vehemently, panting as she continued to struggle.

The Captain couldn't hear much. Solid wood was pretty good at masking noise. James remained oblivious to the hell going on above deck for quite a while as the pirate began dragging Jess kicking and screaming into the brig. The brig was quite unpleasant, rats screeching, water dripping in and a rather foul smell. It wasn't for another half an hour untill James was notified of their new prisoner.

However he wasn't told that it was a woman. James got up and began walking down the steps, cold and intimidating. His dark hair hanging in ringlets around his shoulders. His hand teased the revolver at his belt as he passed the cells and stopped dead in his tracks at Jess's. What the actual fuck... Was she wearing trousers? Did women wear trousers now? He couldn't say he didn't like the change of fashion it was just quite the culture shock.Has no one taught any of you lot manners? He calls back to his crew, mostly the first mate and three of the men who'd apprehended Jess. His voice was deep and heavily accented of old English. However he didn't speak cockney like most pirates. He spoke very proper and concisely. But sir, you said throw any man who boards down here.

James shakes his head. I said man. Does this look like a man to you? The brig is no place for a lady. Release her. James's dark eyes fell upon the woman in question as his men began working on the heavy steel door. She seemed quite peculiar. Looked angry even. To be honest, angry women scared James. My apologies. James Low, and you are? He offers his hand as soon as the first mate opened the door.

Tammy Megan aka Firestorm
Location: Central City

Sitting quietly at a local Big Belly Burger, drinking an ice cold lemonade and eating a BLT sandwich. Staring at the cars passing by, wondering about what's happening everywhere else. Tammy Morgan was not only multitasking but enjoying the peaceful sound of her area. The breeze of the wind, chattering of citizens, and the sound of coffee gurgling through the brewing machine is heard frequently in BBB. It's a great restaurant to dine on a date, birthday, etc. But it's terrible being by yourself.

"Will that be all for today, Miss?" The Waitress seemed to be in her hurry as she held 5 Original Big Belly burgers. Someone must have an appetite for sure, thought Tammy. "Actually, can I get a strawberry milkshake to go please," she said. Sighing while nodding her head, the Waitress turned around, still with five OBB burgers in her hand, and headed back into the Kitchen. "HEY!," shouted a random voice. "What's your problem?". Suddenly, the random person stood up and came over to Tammy's booth. "You drove my lady away, I question why?" The random was a enormous man hovering over Tam. "I didn't mean to cause any harm to you. Your "so called" lady will return with your requested food and mines also." She finished. The man smiled while he began to cuirass her hair. "Well my original lady can wait, because I think I just found someone who can take her place..."

"Alright. I guess it's time to shut your trap," Tammy instantly head butted "Mr. Enormous" making him scream in pain. It seemed that her attack satisfied him, meaning not a lot of damage was inflicted. "Keep going. I like aggressive women," The man was lying on the ground asking for more. Tammy smirked while her fists punched the man's belly, ending off with a kick to the (you know what)."Hmm. It's a good thing I only like gentlemen." Tammy stood back up only to see everyone in Big Belly Burger, staring at her, gasping at her. The Waitress finally returned with Tam's milkshake. "Finally, my milkshake has arrived," She turned and grabbed the beverage. "And the cash is on the table. No receipt is needed."

Leaving BBB, Tammy noticed the time on her watch. "Ah fudge. It's late and I need to head home." Unfortunately, Tammy walked from home to here. Meaning taking the bus is her only option. The would be an hour. She had patience for the pickup. Tam walked over to the bench and sat down. It was a bit chilly for her, so she put her hood on. Legs spread out on the bench and arms over her head. Tammy started to doze off slowly as her eyes blinked... and blinked... In a matter of seconds, Tam fell asleep. No sound was heard. Just Peace and Quiet.

Jess had been hit over the head with the butt of a revolver to keep her quiet on her way down, and she was just barely recovering from her daze fifteen minutes after being tossed into the brig. She came to to the squealing of a rat by her foot and she let out a cry of surprise, accidentally banging the back of her head against the wood of the ship. She cursed as she saw double again, putting her hand to her forehead with a groan and kicking the rat aside. It was about another five minutes before she felt relatively normal, save for a throbbing headache, but she could live with that. The more she regained her senses, the more furious she became. Locked in this disgusting excuse for a ship with her watch and wing pack damaged, unable to get out, and she couldn't even stand up fully without getting woozy. She felt indignant and angry and ready to bash in some heads

Then she heard voices walking into the brig and she crossed her arms, leaning against the his he back wall.

I said man. Does this look like a man to you? The brig is no place for a lady. Release her.

Jess scoffed as she looked upon the captain, and her scoff turned into a sigh. He wasn't bad to look at, by anyone's standards. Maybe the head bashing could wait. The first mate opened the door and she glared daggers at him, recognizing him as one of the men who had tried to deck her.

"My apologies. James Low, and you are?"

Jess took his hand after a moment, begrudgingly, getting to her feet and then closing her eyes, taking a moment to balance herself and keep herself from falling over. "You can call me Bluejay." She said curtly. "I'm here because I received a distress call from the Courier, a cargo ship that was last seen around here. You wouldn't happen to know anything about that, would you? It said they were under attack."
Her tone was accusatory, and scathing. It demanded respect an honest answer, and also carried a warning not to cross her path. Jess's hands moved to her belt, fingers twitching at her knife hilt in warning.
"Lying to me would not end well for you, sir. You're the Captain, yes?" Rhetorical question. Of course he was. "Well, then, I hope you'll take into consideration your pride and think twice before you speak. Do not lie, and believe me, Captain," she said, almost spitting out the word like it tasted foul. "I'll know if you do."

Central City

A lone stranger strolled through the city, observing the destruction that had been caused in recent date. His eyes traced over the remnants of what had been an epic battle, a war that had engrossed the world with copious amounts of bloodshed. Ruby red rivers still stained the ground, the vessels that once carried life arching out to create pools of maroon. What was left of the once thriving planet was now only a ghost of its former glory, a phantom of an era before catastrophe.

A stranger to humanity, not much unlike those who had showered the Earth with ash continued down the mangled streets of a once great city. His hood covered his hollow eyes, only a portion of his melancholy visage visible from beneath its sheath. His steps stuttered when he came upon what had once been a neighborhood garden, which had now had its beauty stomped out by evil intentions. He walked into the now desolate land and touched the finger tips(leaves) of his deceased brothers. Their corpses made decorations of a haunting past.

A sigh cascaded over his lips, the breath of given to him by their mother was carried blissfully by the wind. The breath of life distributed itself upon his fallen siblings to reach an encompassing equilibrium. The heavy air, was liberated from its daunting despair. Sanctified, the plants rose in rejuvenation rising from the depths of the pit of darkness toward the light in the sky. A sea of green stretched its tendrils throughout the garden and beyond, all the green life in the area being suddenly energized with a exhalation of revitalization.

The hooded figure stood, holding his reanimated brothers hand. "You're welcome," he spoke, as if responding to some gracious thanks by the plant life.

James was surprised she even knew about the other ship, That was just an hour and a half ago. Seemed word traveled fast, but he hadn't attacked the ship. In fact it was quite the opposite. He laughs under his breath. I believe what I did was far from an attack. He begins walking up the steps, motioning for Blue Jay to follow. If I had attacked, there'd be nothing left of her. Getting 36 cannon balls at a time launched into a boat often tended to sink it.

He looked around, glancing at a compass and tracing back to the direction they had sailed from the Courier. They didn't get too far and he was sure if he could lock his telescope on it they'd probably still be able to see it. We found her with a hole in her hull. Her anchor betrayed her. So we pushed her onto a sandbar so she wouldn't sink. Probably marooned the crew but better marooned than drowned. James mentions stepping up onto a crate and looking through the spy glass. Sure enough he could just barely see the ship beached in the sand.

Come up here and you can still see her. He steps over to make room for blue jay and holds out his telescope for her so she can see it for herself.

Allen looked over the machinery in awe, his eyes wide as they took in the dim but captivating lights. He stepped in, looking over the creations, walking closer to them. "Are these… yours?" He asked, his gaze alight with wonder. Though he had seen many awe inspiring sights throughout his travel-filled life, the intricate machinery captivated him in a way he had not experienced many times before. "They're quite impressive, if so..."

And Jess will take-" The red-pink haired female turned to face empty space, expecting her friend. "Ur.. Guess she saw a cat or something? I don't know." She laughed nervously, rubbing the back of her neck. "Anyways, I'll get her a Hawaiian pizza. Oh, and include two large drinks please." She beamed, employee seemingly unfazed of the girls sporadic actions.

Fishing out some bills, she paid and then maneuvered her way towards an empty table. Seating herself, she unlocked her phone and prepared to call her. Instead, her struggling voice broke through her watch, asking for assistance. Starwing immediately darted up and ripped off her outfit, hero costume conveniently underneath.

After she successfully made a scene with staring customers, she ran out of the pizzeria and took flight. Now she soared among the blue, wind kissing her skin as she followed the distress signal. The said signal began to lead her to miles upon miles of ocean, until she finally spotted a ship. Celeste hovered for a brief moment and observed to make sure Jess was on board.

Sure enough, she spotted the brunette and hurriedly descended. Slowly, her eyes began to glow green along with her fists, building up for whatever hell she had to put up with to save her bestfriend. Thrusting a hand forward, she launched a Starbolt at the man that was closest to her.

Assuming it knocked him away, she landed afront of Jessica. "Are you ok? How much did they hurt you?" Celeste asked with worry, picking at her friend and fawning.

Jess deflated a bit when the situation was explained to her, her ager ebbing away. "Oh." She said, biting her bottom lip.

Come up here and you can still see her.

Jess was about to step up when a bolt of green light hit James dead in the back. She looked up with a smile at Celeste. "About damn time!" She said teasingly. She stood still as Celeste mothered over her, used to this ritual by now. After all, this wasn't the first time Celeste had come to her aid.

"Are you ok? How much did they hurt you?"

Jess chuckled and then winced as Celeste touched the bump on her head. "Just a bump on my head and a bruise on my upper back. Probably have one on my jaw, but I'll be okay. You should have seen the other guys. I would've had them if there weren't so many." She said with a grin. "The Courier's crew is fine. They're on a sand bank a little ways away from here to the....."she looked in the direction the captain had been looking in. "Southeast. I'll notify the coast guard when we get back to the tower and I fixed my watch."

Waking up in discomfort, Tammy rubbed her eyes steadily. She sat up and took her hood off. Noticing it was dark, Tam exposed her jacket sleeve to see the time on her watch. Somehow the Bus she was waiting for an hour seemed to have skipped her stop. She knew because the new wait was longer than the original wait, which was an hour. "Looks like I overslept. Didn't see that coming at all," she said. Tammy now had no other choice but to walk home. Disgruntled, Tam got up and stretch down from head to toe. The cold weather caused her to shiver and sneeze a few times. But it wouldn't be a distraction because home was required. Due to the fact Tam had an exam coming up soon. Meaning her time of studying is limited.

"Man. I wish Professor Stein was here. We would activate Firestorm and I could've flew myself home," she uttered. Tammy was too concerned about finding a different way to get home when she should be concerned about when she'll arrive there. "Alright, time to head to the house." Finally, Tam began heading for home. Then, she would pull out a cigarette from a pack in her pocket. Tam held the cig in her right hand and a lighter in the left. She lit it with the lighter, and before you know it, streams of smoke came from Tam. Feeling content with herself, Tammy continued to walk through the cold night, still wishing for a quicker way to get home.

  • Scott pulled his hoodie over his head as he walked the streets of Central City alone, leaflets in hand as the cold night's air blowing gently through the streets as Mr. Free attempted to hand out leaflets for his show. He had one plan so far; provide citizens with enough joy in order to raise the spirits of each and every person in a city, one by one. And how? Well, that was rather simple. Scott would do what he done best. And that was, of course, escaping the worlds most deadly traps in record time with ease.

"Excuse me, Miss." Scott spoke up as a woman smoking a cigarette walked past him. "Please, take one." He smiled and pushed a leaflet out towards her, smiling warmly. "I'll be leaving in a few days, and tomorrow is my last show here. So please, come and watch."

She let out a soft sigh and snapped her fingers, hopping of the front of her ride and sitting inside. The goons lowered their guns and climbed in their own automobiles, vans and trucks.

"Okay guys, move out. We've done enough with this Italian wanna-be. Drop me home boys, the princess needs her beauty sleep." Instantly, the car hummed to life, the fog lights shinning down onto the road as a gentle rain began to fall over Gotham City. With one last laugh, her car sped off down the road.

James yelped and jumps off the box as he was hit by some kind of green... lightning? What was it with women flying onto his ship today? Ey. That hurt! James groans, rubbing the spot on his back. Again, sorry about the motley crew.

James stands up straight again. He was a bit dumbstruck, was flying something anyone could do now? Do all people fly now? I havn't been on land since 1840. He mentions. people then sure didn't fly. And, back in his time, people who did fly would probably be hanged for witchcraft. Witchcraft and piracy, seemed both hung together before the public... well... before the guillotine was invented. Damned french. To pirates, the French, the Spainish and the British were all rivals. True dangers, shooting down ships left and right. Although mopre opften than not they'd squable so much and destroy each other before James'd put hole through the victor.

Getting closer and closer to home, Tammy was near her destination. Her cigarette was mostly finished, so she tossed it on ground, only to step on it with her converses. Tam continued to walk now with hands in her pockets. Suddenly, a unfamiliar voice trailed her. She wondered who was trying to have her attention. Tammy nonchalantly turned around only to glance at a hooded figure. It seemed that they were handing out a pamphlet, grabbing Tam's interest.

"Hmm.. an Invitation to a show tomorrow. I'm highly interested in coming but I have two questions I would like to ask," Tammy noticed the person seemed to have want her to appear at the event. Especially with its smile. "First, Why would you want me to come to your show. Secondly, and not be to impolite, but who are you? A magician I never heard of, or what?" Tammy folded her arms and leaned against a wall of an abandoned building. She wanted information about this unknown person here and now before she can go to anyone's show.

JESSICA'S CHUCKLE Brought her back to reality, ceasing to poke at her for a moment. She let her talk, but her reply only made her infuriated. "So they did hurt you!" Her eyes glowed an intense green, the color vividly running through her hair. Starwing usually wasn't this protective, but ever since she lost her parents, she realized how important it is to hold on tight to your loved ones and fight like hell to keep them. Before she decided to take on the entirety of the crew, Jess had informed her of the good news and relaxed slightly. "Thats good at lesat.." She trailed off, sweeping her gaze across the ship. "Do we still have to take care of these guys or-?"

"Do all people fly now? I havn't been on land since 1840."

At that, she sighed and rolled her eyes. "Of course no-" But then she caught herself, double-taking. "Excuse me but, 1840?" She questioned, arching an eyebrow.

Suddenly, her watch began to vibrate and a masked man flashed across its screen. Someone that was wearing her fathers costume was causing mayhem in Jump City. At this, she bit her lip and fidgeted. The redhead wanted to leave in search of the poser, but she knew she had to take care of this situation first.

The Stranger continued upon his business, bidding farewell to the flora, his brothers wishing him safe travels in his journey to replenish the Earth of her former glory. It was late now, due to the fact that he had stayed at the garden tending to his recovering siblings for a duration longer than expected. He hoped to find a good means of shelter, as he found the nightlife of man very...peculiar. Over the course of the months he had been approached by many people in the dead of night. People with guns, knives, people selling strange chopped up leaves and powder, even women trying to take him to a "room" somewhere. He decides quite some long ago that it would be rather best if he found a quiet place to go about his business.

He learned quite a few things about human kind, in the last year, however they were still very much an enigma. This was highlighted by the small little scorch mark on the ground which had been once a cigarette. He never understood why people still continue to voluntarily pollute the air and lungs, then ignore the problem as if it weren't there. Their reasoning, no matter how well thought out illuded his sense of logic. However as a child of Earth he guessed he was inclined to say that anyway.

However with all the wisdom he gained of the Earth, he was still an outsider to surface world and it's culture; further highlighted how he approached two strangers in the dead of night. He removed his hood to reveal his peaceful if not gleeful features. "Salutations fellow man, I was hoping I could procure a place of temporary residency?" He asked, the two with an innocent grin.

  • Scott raised a brow slightly as the female began to interrogate him on his back ground. He tilted his head to the side before chuckling lightly. "Are all people in Central City this on edge?" He asked the girl through a light laugh, pulling down his hood and letting out a sigh. "Okay, so I wasn't ready for this exam, but I think I can get full marks. So for the first question, I came to Central City to give everyone something to laugh at, to gasp and smile at a fun escape show. Now, as for who I am, my name is Scott Free Jr. However, you may have heard of my father. His stage name was Mister Miracle. He...uh...recently passed away." With a sigh, he shook his head and looked back up at the girl. "My stage name is Miracle Man, and I am continuing my father's legacy of being the world's greatest escapist. I'm just trying to make as many people enjoy themselves as I can. As I said, I'm leaving tomorrow."

The sound of another male approaching pricked Scott's ear, his head turning around to see someone who looked out of place. "Huh..." He mumbled to himself quietly before smiling. "Fellow man? Is that like, what all the cool kids are saying today? And Salutations...dude, just say waddup next time. A lot easier on the mouth and the ear." Seeing the innocent grin followed by the boy, Scott began to question this stranger. "Hmm...hey, so what are the chances this guy isn't human?" The male asked the female with a serious face, holding it for a few seconds before letting out a laugh. "I'm just kidding, if you were an alien, you wouldn't be welcomed on this planet at the moment. As for a place to stay, I don't own a house in this city, but I do have a caravan in which I am traveling America. If you wish to join me on my show, become my assistant, you'd get food, water and a place to stay. What do you say, kiddo?"

Rai was currently working around the bad areas of Star city. She'd been tipped off that a hoard of Wendigos were preying on drunken bar-goers. They'd killed about 20 and reduced them to nothing but bones, so of course they had to be stopped. Wendigos were unimaginably tough for humans to deal with, but a horseman? Child's play. Their ability to fade from human sight would do nothing for the demon horseman. Now it was just a matter of finding the beasts or not. Sure enough it didn't take too long to find them dragging off some other poor drunken man. He was still alive but chances are he wouldn't be for long. She decided to leave Grimora out of this for now. Thing tended to get a bit dicy with him in close quarters. Scythes drawn, glamours down and in came the hissing masses of grotesque, man-eating beasts.
latest

Wendigos were fast, ferocious and had a set of claws that shredded flesh like daggers. Yet they also hunted in large groups so even though she only had five after her at the moment, she knew she'd just basically kicked a hornets nest. Her defenses raise, one scythe in front top gaurd, the other poised behind her to strike with. One wendigo leaps over the scythe in the front and immediately gets slashed across the chest as she swings the hind blade forward to cut it appart, The one to her left attempted to come into the flank but found itself caught on the back swing to get the one previously gaurding back to replace the one she'd swung. That took her attention away from her right side, one sneaks past and manages to sink it's teeth into her shoulder that didn't have a guard.

Rai yelps, as it rocks it's teeth deeper, right down to the bone. She has to slam her elbow into it's temple to get it to even loosen up enough to pry it off her but by then she realized she was sorely outnumbered. She was onlyh informed of 20. She was looking at a hoard of over fifty here, All snarling and getting closer, climbing up walls, some dragging carcass of half-consumed people. She began weighing her options. She could have taken 20, but this was a bit more challenging.

Tammy saw the hooded figure reveal himself. She was surprised of who he was, him being the son of Scott Free, more known as Mister Miracle. But then
she was told that he passed away, meaning that the new Mister Miracle could be standing right in front of her. "About your father... I'm sorry for what happened. I didn't know that he passed.." Tam was getting emotional as she nearly began to cry. "You must be a skilled and talented just like him. He would probably be proud of you I guess." She let out a soft smile after finishing her sentence. "Now that I know some info about you, I might consider in coming to your show. Oh and my name is Tammy...Tammy Megan." She reached her hand out for a handshake. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

Then, another hooded figure came to Scott and her. This unknown person appeared to be a bit shy as they unveiled their self. He greeted himself both to Scott and Tam. The man was asking for a place to stay for awhile. Though Tam couldn't let him stay at her house, because her Mom would overreact about having a stranger in the house. "I would let you come by my house but my Mother is strict about strangers being at home."

Hunter, or black arrow (he'd never get used to calling himself that) jumped from building to building, occasionally flipping and rolling to avoid imaginary attacks. out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a poorly made scarecrow-like dummy, which he responded with a quickfire of an arrow. He'd never get used to how it felt, reaching behind one's back for an arrow then knocking it into its partner in crime, pulling the bowstring back to his cheek and letting go... it was amazing. As he ran he fired at more and more dummies, if there was one close to him, he'd pull out a hunting knife that was concealed in his boot

After he was gasping for air and dummy remains were scattered everywhere he took the time to wonder if whoever lived in these buildings were alright with him putting random scarecrows on top of their stuff then tearing them apart..... probably. while he was cleaning up the dummies, he heard a series of growls, then a yelp. He couldn't help but glance over the side of the building to find out what it was.

"Holy shit...." his voice trailed off as a small army of scrawny animal men rushed a figure below. If that wasn't proof enough they weren't human he noticed whoever that was, wielded scythes. His eyes raced back and forth between the figure and the monsters they were attempting to rid the world of, but when his eyes settled on a particularly ... excited... one, he immediately reached for an arrow. It was weaving in and out of his brethren and throwing them to the side to get to his target, eventually planting a foot on the closest and using him as a stepping stone to leap into the air. Hunter grabbed for one of his silver arrows and pulled the bowstring back once more, Afterall silver is what most monsters couldn't handle.... right? He let go and watched as it embedded itself in the creature's skull, sending him tumbling beside the figure he had fired to protect. It wasn't much but it bought them a few seconds to do something

Jess looked surprised and flattered at the same time at Celeste's ferocity, normally used to the gentle admonition, not to this outburst of vehemence. "We don't have to take care of them. And if we do, I can definitely handle myself."
She heard and scoff behind her and looked dead at the First Mate, who she knew had made the noise. "I can prove it if you want, you lily-livered, yellow-bellied sea scum." She said, glaring at him, daring him to try something with her.

Do all people fly now? I havn't been on land since 1840.

She shook her head. "No, not everyone flies--" She had about the same reaction Celeste did, blinking at James for a moment. "How....?" She looked him up and down again. "For a 200 some-odd years old guy, you don't look half bad." She said, a slight blush appearing on her cheeks.

A buzz caught her attention and she looked at Celeste. "Go on, Starwing. Go take care of it. I'll get home on my own." She put her hand on the half-Tamaranian's shoulder with a half smile. "I may be powerless, but I'm not entirely incapable. You should go."

Rai saw the quick one coming. She sets one boot back to take some impact and was about to go for a slash when an arrow shot the beast down. It screeched as the silver scalds his skin. Seemed she had backup. Her inky black hair seemed to roll into smoke tward the ends as she moved, making a hack and slash job out of the few who were foolish enough to come straight at her, she'd leave the ones that'd come around to her more vulnerable sides to the archer who was apparently helping her.

Up close she looked even more ghostly. White skin with flourishing black markings, tipped in red swirled around her body like like. Her eyes a brilliant crimson. Black horns elegantly poised atop her head spiraling delicately about 5 inches up off her scalp. She was pretty small but was still well enough built to be seen as athletic. Her face looked like that on an angel... or a demon.

Luckily shooting down the Wendigo that'd leaped gave Rai time to retrieve Grimora's glass figurine. She smashes the glass to the ground and from there a thick haze begins to build as the demon horse squeals free from the rift, taking his rider with him. He was rearing, front hooves ablaze with a greenish-glow and as he slams the down the cement spinters and about 10 wendigos fall over, scorched by a flame that'd pass Hunter over as he was mortal. Grimora throws his head, scorching greed in his eyes as he immediately looked to Hunter, glass sharded teeth snapping as him as the bit was pulled in his mouth to keep him under control. He was directed back to focus on the undead before them. A few beasts fell back attempting to run, but one kick to the sides as the steed was galloping, scythes swinging down like a guillotine. Others fell victim to Grimora's wicked bite.

The first mate cringed at the vennom in Jess's voice. Lord this woman scared the shit out of him. If that was just a squabble imagine what she could do with murderous intent.

James laughs out loud, Suddenly realizing how strange that had to have sounded. Just a curse. I'm only 300 something years old. They still hang pirates? He asks genuinely. Last time he was on land public hanging was definitely a thing. He honnestly didn't know if it was safe for him to go on land at all. I can bring ya' to shore if you want. Beats having to fly, right? He offers, heading for the wheel. Take er' in half sail. Were headed to shore.

CELESTE NODDED Knowing how proficient her best friend was at fighting. Honestly, she was almost as good as her father. "I know you handle yourself silly." She smiled warmly, gently punching her shoulder. That friendly demeanor dropped almost instantly as a crew member scoffed behind them. Before she could whirl on them, Jessica had shut them down. At that, she relaxed and shared another smile with her.

She noticed that Jess also shared her surprise, but she also discerned that she was.. flirting with him? She arched an eyebrow and chuckled quietly, spotting the blush.
"Yes, thank you Bluejay..." She trailed off, lifting her emerald gaze to her aqua. "I know you're extremely strong, but let me know if you need help, ok?" Celeste said in a serious tone, pecking her head in a mother-like way.

"I can bring ya' to shore if you want. Beats having to fly, right?"
"No it's fine sir, this is sort of urgent.. Thank you though!" She smiled before gently pushing herself off the boat and into the air. "Take care Bluejay! And remember I will gladly bury you 6 feet under if you hurt her~" Celeste chirped, flying into the inky night.

Jump City was alive with neon lights and the laughter of friends, the aura of summer and nostalgia heavy. Starwing didn't have time to savor however, gliding above the buildings to look for the man that stole her fathers suit.
Soon enough, she found a figure looking down at the citizens below, cape billowing in the wind. Celeste slowly landed behind him, feeling as if she was shrinking to his height.

"Excuse me.." She gingerly brought a hand forward and laid it upon his shoulder. "Im afraid you're wearing my fathers suit-" Celeste murmured, gaze flickering with green.

Jess cocked her head. "'Just a curse'?" She said, laughing. "You certainly are something else...." She murmured to herself, shaking her head.

They still hang pirates?

Jess contained laugh. "No, you'll be perfectly fine so long as you stay on the right side of the law. They don't hang anymore, thank god."

Celeste took off with a parting threat and Jess had to laugh. The two were thick as thieves, and anyone who dared try anything on either one of them, the other wouldn't be far behind to lay down a good beating.

Beats having to fly,right?

Jess shook her head. "Sailing is a lot of fun, I'll admit. My parents took me sailing and deep sea fishing when I was little......" She sighed, a trace of sadness in her eyes, but it went away almost as quickly as it had appeared there. "But nothing, nothing beats flying.... the wind in your hair, the sun on your face... nothing but you, the birds, and the clouds.... up high you just feel..... free..." She said wistfully.

It took Jess a moment to snap back to the present. "I'll bet that's the same feeling you get when you sail, eh?" She said, a smile hiding the sadness in her voice.
