Introduction Welcome to my humble thread. Feel free to look around and give feedback.


Just so you know, all my characters are created for the specific RP they are in. It's possible that their histories wont make sense because of this.

As a little side note:


Each character has a spoiler at the end.This has both the link to the RP they are used for as well as some basic information about the RP that may help in understanding their histories a bit better.












I plan to add any other characters that I make that come from RPs I enjoy. As you may see, some of them are very basic be it in BBcode or actual character. Over time, I hope to fix both of those. Some character sheets don't ask for certain things. Since I was sticking to those, many characters look quite bland. I intend to add a history to each one, if for anything, to help myself.

Name: Adruo Draiton

Magic element: Earth. She can cause rock slides and tremors, but does not have full control of her powers.


Accessories: Adruo wears a bronze, two-ringed choker.There is a ribbon wrapped around her tail that ends in a bow. It was once white, but has lost its sheen due to years of use.


Equipment: A chain belt of sorts is used to hold up her sword when not in use. Adruo also has leather pouches attached to her legs, hidden under her clothing. The pouches contain basic medical supplies, a small amount of money, a dagger, and the necklace her grandmother gave her. A few pages of her grandmother's story books have been carefully folded and stored in the pouches as well.


Height: 5'7''


Scars: There is quite a lot of scarring on her wings, but it is mostly covered by the scales, or on the underside and thus hidden from sight.


Piercings: She has one small hematite earring in each ear.


Tattoos: None


Diseases/ Disorders: She is mostly deaf in her left ear. While not being a medically accepted disorder, Adruo is both gullible and a klutz of note.


Extra Anatomy: Adruo's horns on her head look similar to a crown. She has less armour and muscle than most of her race due to not being a pure dragonkin.


Other: She can often be seen scratching at the scales on her arms either when bored or nervous.


Sexuality: Heterosexual


Relationship Status: Single


Hobbies: Many hours are spent training with her sword or flying. Other than that, Adruo can be found reading or spending time with the children in the village, telling them stories.


Occupation: Babysitter on demand


Lures: Interesting stories, adventure, mystery, crowds, shiny objects.


Phobias: The dark, loosing her ability to fly, small spaces, being alone.


Savvies: Despite the fact that she will trip over her own feet at unexpected times, Adruo is skilled with a sword. Due to being lighter than others of her species, she can also fly for longer periods of time. She has worked with children for many years and is a natural mother, even without any children of her own.


History: Adruo was born in a small, mixed species village. She is one of the few who have mixed blood of elf and dragonkin. It surprised many when she turned out to be a gentle hearted, humble little girl. Her mother, an elf, was fairly highly seated in the Elven Council. Her father had perished while out on a hunting trip when Adruo was still very young. With her mother being so busy, Adruo was left with her elven grandmother most of the time. Her grandmother, Nalah, would always tell Adruo stories that had been passed on through the generations. Adruo became fascinated with these tales, especially the one about the Holy Creations and how the Saviours defeated the Demon Lord.


With the tales of an epic adventure, Adruo decided that she would become one of the next Saviours if the Core should break while she still lived. Adruo trained constantly. She was no prodigy, but through hard work and perseverance, she was able to master the sword and flying. She was trained by another earth element dragonkin to properly control her power, but Adruo found this challenging due to her mixed blood. She has caused many landslides by complete accident. When she falls down - which happens on a regular basis - Adruo usually created a small tremor that ripples throughout the ground. This was how she received her title which is more a nickname than anything.


When Adruo was 15 her grandmother passed away. Before she did, she gave Adruo a necklace that she said was passed down through the generations with the stories that Adruo loved so much. Adruo understood her new responsibility and took it on with a smile. She spent many hours with the children in the village, telling them all the tales that she had been taught. The parents quickly saw how well she worked with them and were offering her jobs shortly after. The days passed in a flurry of storytelling and training. Her two goals being worked on simultaneously. Become a Saviour, and carry on the family legacy.

The Chosen of Seven


"Once upon a time, long long ago, there was a tense peace in our land. Small wars would often break out between the different species to try become the leader of Pangeros. No one race trusted another. They all kept to themselves; similar to how the elves do now.


Then, a thousand years ago, the Demon Lord appeared. We don't know where he came from, or how he got here. We believe that he came through a portal that leads to a different world. Through this portal, the Demon Lord brought his giant armies. These creatures were the things of nightmares. There were a few that stood out from the rest. Demons like the triplets: Confusion, Despair, and Holder; The Four Swordsman and Lux. These demons; as well as a few others; had immense power. They had high ranks in the demon army and caused lots of damage to any village they passed through.


The Demon Lord and his horde of minions attacked almost every person they saw. By the time they reached Eden, very few survived. There was no one left to go against him. The Demon Lord then announced himself to be the new ruler of Pangeros. He stayed in power for many years, forcing the people of Pangeros to be his slaves. He was a cruel ruler who didn't care for his subject's well-being. He was selfish and only cared for himself.


Eventually, a group of saviours appeared. They aren't the saviours that everybody knows, though. These saviours consisted of the most skilled blacksmiths and mages. Together, the forged the seven weapons known as the Holy Creations. Each mage imbued their very soul into these weapons, giving the weapons their powers. They are called holy because each mage came from a school of magic linking to each god.


By placing their souls in the weapons, the mages were no longer in their bodies. As part of the weapon, they were able to sense who would be worthy to wield them. Seven people, each from a different race, were found. This group took the weapons and used them against the Demon Lord. First, they had to fight off the thousands of demons that served the Demon Lord. This used up a lot of their power, stopping them from using the weapon's full potential.


The seven fought a long battle and finally emerged victorious. The Demon Lord was defeated, but not killed. The group had used the strongest sealing spell they knew to lock away the Demon Lord and all his followers in The Core. The core is at the very place where the final battle took place; right below Eden."

Avalonia


A group of six young adults find themselves in the Mystical realm of Avalonia, cast somewhere between the real world, and the dream world, where anything is possible. We call it Rem sleep, the denizens call it home. And a force yet unseen, calls it a stepping stone. Shortly after their arrival, the group of friends begin to exhibit powers much like the abilities that those from Avalonia call magic, a force of nature that only the Royal family, and a few nobles, can access. Each one, for each of the cardinal elements. Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, and Shadow.


Will the group find a way home, or are they trapped forever to live out their lives in a world much different from theirs?


Note: Araya is not one of the six, but a citizen of Avalonia

Personality:


Sammy is a kind and curious soul. She is fascinated by the world around her and will question and investigate anything she doesn't know or understand. She hates to see suffering, always helping where she can. However, Sammy is incredibly protective of her friends and will fight without restraint if they are endangered.


Samantha views the world with an open mind. She does her best to not judge people based on appearances. She will usually seek out someone's company, but on the rare occasion she decides to have some alone time, she will spend it either reading or doing art.





Background:


Sammy was born as the youngest of three in South Africa. Her mother worked a normal office job while her father was a history lecturer at a university. Due to that, Sammy learnt from an early age about the discrimination and violence that had occurred in her country. The news often told her a similar story. Not only that, but she had been witness to various crimes being committed. Each time, she was unable to help. Samantha found it to be the most frustrating thing to see such an act occur, yet having to sit idly by and watch it happen. Somewhere along the line, she decided to help people to the best of her ability.


Throughout her schooling life, people tended to stay away from her due to her rather disconcerting eye colour. Sammy was forced to initiate conversation. While most were still put off, she made a small group of friends who looked past such things. Hating being avoided, Sammy is grateful for anyone who she can call a friend. Thus, she will protect them be it verbally or in a fight.



Sammy's relationship with her brothers is a good one. They, and their parents, are a close knit family unit. Samantha often helps her brothers with their jobs. This allowed for her to gain skills in both fields. Her eldest brother being an IT expert, she learnt the basics of computer programming. However, it was when she was helping her other brother that she noticed something strange. Nicholas, five years older than her and a chef, asked Sammy to fry something. When she managed to light the gas stove without a match or lighter, Samantha was surprised to say the least.



Small incidents like that continued for the next few months. Lighting a candle when still looking for the matches or setting fire to her marshmallows before they got close to the flames. Samantha realised that she was the cause of the odd occurrences. She then spent most of her free time trying to figure out how she did it. Soon enough, she taught herself to create a tiny flame on her fingertip. She also learnt that while her own fire didn't hurt her, other fire did. She constantly questioned why she was able to do such things, but found no answers. Her curiosity was eating away at her until she received a strange letter.









Magic type:


Pyromancy






Magic spells:


Basic fire manipulation - Sammy can create fire on her hands which can be shot as projectiles or used for hand to hand combat (which is rare for her). She is able to manoeuvre the flames to a degree; even those that she hasn't created (as long as they aren't under control of another mage).


Flame Cloak - Due to her body being retardant to her own fire, Sammy can cover her whole body in flames to act as a shield. It works especially well against hand-to-hand combatants.


Temperature Control - It is possible for Sammy to either raise or drop the temperature in an area. While heating is a given, Sammy can pull the heat from a specified space into herself, dropping it to subzero temperatures. She can go to the opposite side of the spectrum and raise it to water boiling point within seconds - if used on water in a closed container, it will cause an explosion so is often used as an easy replacement to grenades. The larger the area affected, the more energy is consumed as well as loss of intensity.





Other:


Sammy is a good cook and mediocre computer programmer. She doesn't feel the cold easily.





The Apprentices


The year is 2015, the date, the sixth of November. With almost every wizard in the world currently travelling to Siberia in search of a demon spewing portal, twelve Arch Mages and the Grand Master of the United Council of Magic remain in the organization's head quarters in Geneva, Switzerland. With growing fears of more portals opening across the world, the twelve Arch Mages have been ordered to recruit apprentices, those born with high magical atonement, to act as a small rapid response group until the more highly trained wizards return from Siberia.


They will be trained to use their powers, harnessing them so they can be used to their fullest extent to combat the demonic threat to this world. They will not have any contact with the outside world in order to keep the organization a secret, and there is a high likelihood at least a few of them will die in the training. The Arch Mages do not care for all this, they merely want apprentices to continue their country's magic.

psychic = can see into others’ thoughts while they sleep so, at night, she’s wide awake, studying them and planning the best way to use their fears against them in battle.


Shape-shifter = can change her form to that of her opponent’s fears (seen with her psychic powers).


Fighting style – Erratic and unpredictable. Kayla will lull her opponent into a false opinion on her, using basic attacks with her daggers. Once that is done, she will transform into their worst fears and attack ferociously.

History

Kayla was born into a normal family. She had a loving mother and father and they all cared for each other deeply. When Kayla was five, her little sister, Mia, was born. Kayla was as overjoyed to have Mia enter the world as their parents were. At the same time, Kayla was showing promise in shape-shifter magic just like her father. Kayla would often turn into animals to keep her baby sister happy. However, she had actually seen all the creatures she transformed into in other children's nightmares in her own dreams.


Things began to turn sour as time passed. As Kayla grew older, her psychic abilities grew. However, she did not tell anyone about this. The young, twelve-year-old thought that there was something wrong with her and didn't want to worry her parents. Every night Kayla would hear whispers of voices that no one else seemed to notice.


It was, in fact, the thoughts of her family members as they slept. Kayla was unable to hear the voices of others while they were awake due to unknown reasons. Over the next few months, Kayla was able to hear the voices more clearly. She could decipher the emotions they spoke with. Once voice in particular seemed very afraid of a specific person. Kayla felt sorry for the voice and wanted to find out if there was any way she could help. To do that, she needed to find out who the person was. Then she could find out why the voice was afraid of them.


Kayla asked her mother who the person was. After hearing the name, Kayla’s mother questioned the young girl for an hour straight. She realised what her daughter was hearing. She made Kayla promise to never mention the name again as well as ignore the voices. Despite her curiosity, Kayla agreed. She was a well behaved child and was mostly obedient.


The voice that night was louder than it ever was. It was so frightened that it made Kayla scared. Ignorant of what was happening, Kayla ran into her parents’ room. “Mama, the voice is really scared of Artus.” She said between sobs. Her parents comforted her until she fell asleep. The next day, there was a tense silence between the adults. Kayla’s father took Mia out to do the weekly shopping, leaving Kayla and her mother at the house.


Kayla was trying to figure out how to use the pristine white ocarina that her sister had gotten her. She had promised that she would so she could play tunes for the younger girl. That was when Kayla’s mother walked towards her holding a dagger that had come out of the family coat of arms. The woman had eyes that could only be seen on a person who would be considered crazy. “It’s all your fault.” Was all she said before attacking Kayla. Kayla fought back. She won – killing her mother – but not before getting a cut along her throat that, luckily, wasn't deep enough to kill.


The two lay in a puddle of blood. Kayla was barely holding on to life when her father came home. Seeing what happened, he instantly ran with Mia, assuming Kayla to be dead.


Somehow, she lived through it. Her body somehow healed the worst of the gash. Once she had recovered enough energy, she took the dagger her mother had attacked her with as well as the second identical one that was still on the crest on the wall. She tied the ocarina from her sister; now sporting multiple blood splatters; around her neck which she had to stitch up herself.


Through later inquiries, Kayla found out that her mother had been off with another man and the guilt ate at her so much that it drove her to madness with aid from drugs. Kayla never saw her father or Mia ever since that day where they left her to die.


Extra – Kayla does not sleep. She chews things to help keep her awake.




The Scourge of Eridanus


It is the year 1030, and people all across Eridanus are ushering in the new year and new decade with much joy and celebration. Each culture does it differently, but they all have their own festivities and stay up past midnight to perform rites for the year to come.


In one city, though, it is not quite the same. It lays quiet, unmoving save for the occasional crumble of embers or flicker of flame. The once grand city of Ephesos, vital to trade between the continents of Nerin and Farona, now a crumbled, obliterated pile of soot and ash, not a living soul left unburnt within its immense walls.


It takes only a day for this to be found. Word soon spreads by news and word of mouth across both continents, but nobody knows of any creature, magician, or even dragon that could do this. Scholars devote hours of work to trying to find the cause, families and friends mourn their dead, and those who left shortly before count their blessings.


No more than five weeks later, another city lies dead and burnt. This time, it’s Sirian, a city deep within the mountain ranges of the north-east, and once again nobody can discern what could have done this. The vent only shows that no city is safe, and the disasters are presumed linked, being named The Scourge by those who talk of it.


Cities throughout the world do their best to defend themselves – some going so far as to ban wooden construction, despite the fact that Sirian was made of stone and burned all the same. Many more guards are hired and kept on watch, and escape plans are made, but none have yet to take effect – it has been only a week, though those making preparations have been busy.

Hell-fire - Can summon blazing flames to scorch his enemies. This can be used in a variety of ways including as projectiles, to make a protective coat, or for roasting marshmallows. Piaculum's flames have a slight blue hue to them.


Arsenal - Piaculum can change his familiar to any weaponry that he wishes. However, he usually sticks to a bow and arrow, dual blades, or claymore.


Bloodlust - Piaculum goes into a berserker state. His strength and speed is increased. In this state, he has close to no control over his actions. His familiar as a weapon will also be affected. This state is only brought on in dire situations..

Backstory


Piaculum was, as Greater Daemons are, born from a grievous sin that was committed. He has no parents that he knows of. His earliest memory is of waking in an abandoned building around the age of six. However, one memory is constantly with him and it isn't even his own. The sin that was the cause of his birth plays like a video in Piaculum's head. A young woman's lifeblood oozing out of the slash that went from her chin to her midriff. A sound of crunching as the killer feasted.


Despite the memory of something he did not do, Piaculum has very few memories of interest. He was taken in by a senile old man who happened to be rich. He also couldn't see well, so never noticed the large horns sprouting out of Piaculum's head. The old man had no living relatives, so left his wealth to the Daemon boy, despite only knowing him for a few months. The old man passed peacefully in his sleep after a year.



Piaculum used some of the money to get himself lessons since he was still illiterate. It soon became apparent that the boy - only eight at this time - had an amazing brain. He quickly became bored of his classes, so he quit. He spent the remainder of his days in the mansion that the old man had left him, reading each book in the vast library. If he felt adventurous, he would spar with the Lesser Daemon who acted as his familiar.



Receiving the invitation came as somewhat of a relief to Piaculum. He had read most of the books in the giant library. The only ones left were the ones which he would rather not touch.





Underworld Academia


You had to leave that life behind; you've always thought that to yourself, you want a new life in a much more interesting place. You got lucky... Maybe... A black limousine pulled up next to you on while you were walking one day, a small business card was put in your hand and the vehicle drove away and vanished from your site.


You stared at the card quizzically before looking at it, upon reading it, you see a few lines of red text 'You have been invited to Underworld Academy, you have an hour to accept this invitation and join the school, we welcome you to a new world full of adventure, will you come?' You smile and laugh, staring at another line of text 'Tear here to accept' without any hesitation whatsoever, you tear through the card. A flash of light assaults your eyes and you find yourself in a large hall full of many others, as your vision and hearing returns to you, and the dizziness fades you look around.

Battle Form - Irina's form when fighting. Even when sitting, she is as tall as her master. Her power and speed make her a formidable opponent.



Other: Irina can't speak to people normally and just sounds like she's meowing, roaring, etc. However, Piaculum is able to understand her perfectly.

History: Irina, born from a robbery, spent many years just wandering around the world with no destination in sight. One stormy night, she ran into a house to seek refuge from the rain. It just so happened to be the home of the old man which Piaculum now lived in. Having nothing else to do, Irina decided to stay with the Greater Daemon and act as his familiar.


Abilities: Weapon - She can change into the weapon that Piaculum wants to use.


Venom - The snake on her tail has a rather nasty bite.



Flight - Only available in Battle Form



360 Vision - Eyes in the front and back make it difficult to sneak up on her.

Baby Form - The form in which she is most commonly seen. She doesn't have much strength, but her puppy dog eyes work well in place of that.

Besides what can be seen in the image, Chilali wears a necklace with a seemingly delicate blue gem pendant.




Equipment: She carries a sword with a lion pommel. A fairly plain spear is usually kept on her back.


Height: 5'7''


Scars: Scars litter her body.However, the most notable ones are three jagged claw marks across her back and one from her left calf to mid thigh. There is a small, almost neat scar over the right side of her mouth going straight down.


Piercings: Four small, simple silver hooped earrings on the top of her left ear.





Tattoos


Two small red rectangles on each cheekbone. Tribal styled water themed tattoo on her upper right arm.

Diseases/Disorders: Hereditary Sensory Neuropathy (Can't feel pain or temperature. However, she only has a mild case.)


Other: When it's up, she often tugs on her face mask. Her mouth can often be seen hanging open slightly (to prevent her biting her tongue).

Savvies: She is proficient with both her sword and spear not to mention a talented mage to boot. She has a solid knowledge of anatomy of the many races and biology in general. Surprising most, she's a pretty decent seamstress too.


Magic School: Water


Known Spells:


Ice Field - Chilali coats the ground with a thin layer of ice. While it causes others to slip, she uses it to move faster.


Shrapnel - Tiny pieces of hardened ice fly toward target with great speed. It isn't the most accurate attack and isn't usually deadly, but is used to weaken and slow opponent.


Comatose - Chilali can freeze the blood of her opponent. While it won't kill them instantly, it will cause paralysis of where the blood is frozen. If needed, she can induce a coma by altering the intensity. However, to work, she needs direct contact with the subject. The area of effect is only an inch or two around her hand.


Ice Tomb - Encasing her opponent in ice, Chilali can either leave then there and let the frostbite do her work for her, or constrict the ice to end a life far more quickly. This is heavily taxing on her magical reserves and is a finishing move of sorts.





History


Chilali was born surprisingly quiet. She didn't cry as usual babies did just after birth. She didn't feel the pain that they did. Her parents quickly picked up on this fact. They took her to multiple doctors to see if she could be healed. They got nothing for their efforts but a loss of money. All they could do was protect Chilali from herself.


They soon found out the dangers of not knowing pain. Chilali often wound up hurting herself without realising. far too many times did the toddler make her tongue bleed from biting it to hard. The tongue was one of the parent's many worries. If Chilali twisted her ankle, they wouldn't know until it had swollen considerably and had been made worse by the youngster walking on it anyway. Chilali, however, understood none of this. She assumed that she was the same as everyone else in this aspect.



The youngster often ended up playing too roughly and badly hurting other children because she didn't understand the pain they felt. This caused many people try to stay away from her. She still had no idea why. Their actions left her feeling abandoned and betrayed. After a few years, she understood why the other children had done what they had done. Her sudden understanding came from a horrid realisation. Her condition was worsening.



It had reached a point where she couldn't even feel if a knife stabbed her. This new fact weighed heavily on Chilali and her parents. In hopes to be more lucky, her parents retried their search for doctors. While the doctors proved just as useless as before, a mage offered his help. The mage managed to lessen the effects of Chilali's disease so it returned to it's previous state. During his healing of the girl, he noticed that she had wide reserves of magic.



The mage then stated that he would take the girl as his apprentice, to which her parents agreed. They hoped that being by the mage would keep the disease at bay. However, Chilali being the young child she was, saw it as her parents giving her away. Once again, she felt abandoned. Despite that, she did as she was told and spent many years studying under the mage's tutelage.



The mage was one of high ranking in the Magic School of Water. Thanks to that, Chilali received some of the best training possible. She learned at a regular pace, but her use of ice was surprising to most. Very few mages used ice due to being unable to bear with the cold. Chilali showed that she was barely able to feel it. Many times, the other mages would need to drag her away from her training before she froze herself without realising. There had been a few instances of her having to be thawed out with the risk of frostbite being very possible.



News of her parents' death reached Chilali just before she turned eighteen. Her previous dislike of her parents had waned over the years as she better understood her parents' reasoning. They always sent letters and small gifts. The news caused her great pain. Her closest friend who she had made while at the Magic School agreed to travel with as she travelled home to pay her respects.



However, when they reached the small village, Chilali saw the reason for her parents' death. Bandits had taken over, killing anyone who resisted. Apparently, her parents had been part of the resistance. Rage was all Chilali saw. Her vision went red with anger. Soon, blood followed. Chilali swung her blade and cast spells. Her friend tried many times to stop her rampage, but failed. Once every bandit had their lifeblood seeping out, Chilali finally calmed down. Only too late.



Her closest friend lay amongst the bodies of the bandits. Slain by Chilali's own hand.



She wept for a full day over her loss and sorrow. She begged her friend's corpse for forgiveness. Once she had no more tears to shed, she wrote a letter to the Magic School giving a very vague retelling of what happened. In it, she stated that she would not return and, instead, travel the world. As she searched the remains of her previous home, she found a small box wrapped in colourful paper. Attached to it was a letter addressed to her. Her parents had intended the object to be a gift for her eightieth birthday. Inside was the necklace that she now wears.



Ever since that day, she has had no contact with the magic school. She wandered the vast land of Pangeros in search of a good fight. Whenever she got the chance, she would go to a temple of Lacus ad thank the goddess for allowing her to use the water she did. If there was one thing she had learnt from her parents while she lived with them, it was to be respectful to the gods.

Known primarily as a great tracker, he has a fair reputation amongst his fellows. He usually takes on the stealthier targets who try to cover their tracks. He is also able to gather information using this with an 84% success rate.


Combat Abilities


Being the ninja that he is, Darniel is swift footed. He moves quickly from one cover to the next. Attacking straight on is definitely not his style. The best thing to do, he believes, is confuse the opponent or at least wait for a gap in defences before even showing yourself. Once you're in sight, strike, then hide yourself again. There's no point in leaving yourself out in the open. However, this method often takes time to even begin. Thanks to that, Darniel is an excellent tracker. He fights with two daggers. The daggers are slightly curved and are non reflective.


Chi Ability


Darniel can't go invisible, but he's made many people believe otherwise. His chi allows him to act like a human chameleon (earning him his alias), just many times better. He is able to camouflage his body - as well as any clothing and equipment he may have - perfectly with his surroundings. If he moves while "invisible" it puts a lot of strain on his mind and chi usage. Darniel knows the limits of his chi, so he sticks to the shadows while using it and acts quickly.


Weaknesses


He is heavily reliant on his chi. Once it runs out, he will most likely retreat. His chi has many flaws as well. Since he's just camouflaging himself, his body is still there. If in sunlight, he will cast a shadow (he will usually take this into account and position himself appropriately). Light will also reflect off the usual objects.


Personality


Ever had one of those moments when you're reading something in public and something happens that makes you want to scream or cry? That is pretty much what Darniel does on a daily basis. Except, his are whenever he is in a social situation. And instead of the vast array of emotions a novel may elicit, he just feels incredibly awkward and uncomfortable. Often to the point where he wants to scream and run away. Strangely enough, he rarely shows any emotion on in his features. It's unfortunate that he's an extrovert and wants to talk to people. Yeah, he's still trying to figure that one out. Until he does, he doesn't talk much and when he does, it's usually an excuse to leave.


History


Danny was born in a city which is the polar opposite of the East District. It was all concrete and factory fumes. The cluster of houses with minimal upkeep was a serious fire hazard. Even when a few people complained about it, only when half the suburb caught alight did anyone take any notice. Being caught in the fire, Darniel decided to find somewhere a little more green. Oh yeah, he also lost his entire family and is now afraid of fire. Just so ya know.


Anywho, he stumbled across Shima about 6 years ago and has been training in the East District ever since. However, the time he spent travelling and training sort of... distanced him from people. Having spent so little time interacting with others, he now doesn't know how.

THE WORLD WE LIVE IN


You ever see Big Hero Six? You know San Fransokyo? Shima City is kind of like that. Its people are diverse, like America, but the architecture of the city is influenced by East Asian aesthetic. There's a lot of neon lights and shit, and tall buildings. Shima is its own county, and is divided into five distinct zones.


This story takes place in the modern age, the year is 2016. The technology is identical to our real world technology, but there's one key difference about this reality. Chi energy. Chi, the life force within all people, allows those who discipline themselves to do amazing things. Chi manifests itself differently in all people, granting many unique abilities that become stronger the more they train.

Lucius known as the neighbourhood magician; often seen entertaining guests in Fun World with his little "magic" tricks. However, his little tricks also have him known as the prankster as well. While he may not use a silver tongue, he loves making mischief much like the Norse god, Loki.



Personality


Outgoing and friendly would be your first impressions of Lucius. He seems to draw people to him with his general friendliness. This is even despite his reputation as a mischief maker. He has a love for pranks and the like, yet never hurts anyone in the process. He will often be found in the middle of a crowd, entertaining the people with various tricks using his chi or even regular sleight of hand tricks. Luke enjoys being the centre of attention and his little pass time. He would often prefer to talk than battle.






Combat Abilities


Close combat is not for Lucius. He does his best fighting at range with a plethora of different weapons. He uses anything ranging from (pun somewhat intended) throwing stars to a bow and arrow. However, one of his favourite items is a blade attached to the end of a chain despite the noise it makes. His most commonly used item would be the bow as it is the easiest to hide. Yes, he hides his weapons. Or rather, he uses his chi to conceal the things he throws. Well, some of them. He'll leave others exposed to try trick his opponent.



Chi Ability


Is light a particle or a wave? It doesn't really matter to Lucius, but he can still use it regardless of scientific debate. With his chi, Lucius is able to control the light around him. This creates grand visual illusions. While it is quite versatile in what it is able to do, its usefulness in battle can be quite limited. One of the best things Lucius has found his chi can do is take the light away from his opponent. This is the equivalent of making them temporarily blind.



The main use of his chi is to conceal some of his projectile weapons. Since these are fast moving objects and often in rapid succession, it drains his chi quite quickly.



Weaknesses


Having an opponent close or who doesn't rely on sight does not bode well for Lucius. While sight is unlikely to be discarded by most, close combat is something he is terrible at. Even medium ranged fighters would probably get the upper hand on Lucius if in position. The way he uses his chi means that a drawn out fight will have him completely drained and vulnerable. He needs to be at a good distance and end a battle quickly or else he's in trouble.



History


Luke has lived in Shima for as long as he can remember. He was born outside of the city, but moved shortly after. He has moved in between districts of the city as well. For example, his parents are still in the North District. They also believe that Lucius died several years ago. If asked about it, Lucius will just state that is was another of his pranks. Even knowing that his parents might one day figure it out, Luke has not left the city. Instead, he does what he loves in the South District by entertaining crowds and meeting new people.

Randilyn has this nifty trick of being able to stop enemies moving without killing them. It's her main job besides the usual assassin stuff. She is often sent to accompany others on their jobs since she is good at buying time and close combat. This means that being paired with long ranged or people who need time to prepare is normal for her.


Combat Abilities


Ran has a thing for always getting the first hit. It irritates her to no end when she doesn't. She will usually wait in hiding then strike fast and repeatedly. She will use the clawed gauntlet on her one hand as her method of severely injuring people. However, her hand claw gets far more use. With it, she can latch onto an opponent and keep them in place so she can use her chi. She will keep hitting until she gets her claws in where she needs them. Luckily, she has the endurance to keep this up for a good while.


Chi Ability


She's called "Frosty" for a reason. Randilyn can freeze water with ease. Luckily for her, the body is mostly made up of water. With physical contact, she can stop someone's blood from flowing in that area. It stops functionality of an arm or a leg with a high success rate. Slippery floors can also be made with a little water from a pouch she always carries with her. She can do other things as well, but they all pretty much just involve the freezing of water. A part of her chi that she has only recently discovered and is still learning is that she is able to defrost what she has frozen.


Weaknesses


One on one in close combat, Ran has skills. Put her against a group or at range and she's not so great. She has no way to fight against range and is likely to flee if she can't see a way to get closer. Her chi requires direct contact. She needs to touch water to freeze it. To freeze blood, she needs to keep the opponent there for a good few seconds. When freezing blood, the area of which she does so is surprisingly small, so she needs accuracy for it to work properly.


Personality


Well, you get Ran and you get Randilyn. Randilyn is a proper lady with poise and grace; just how her parents raised her. As soon as she's out of her parent's earshot, Ran is her usual self. Somewhat of a tomboy and incredibly crude and vulgar would describe how Ran acts. Luckily, she has some sort of filter on what she says. If she said what was on her mind in its pure form, there would be language that makes sailors blush. Even so, she has a healthy sense of humour if not a bit dark at times.


History


Randilyn has lived in the North District of Shima since she was born. Both her parents are top of very successful businesses. Thanks to that, she is in one of the most wealthy families in the district. This, in turn, made her upbringing very specific. She was raised to act a very specific way around specific people. She was taught who was important and who was not. Yet she cared for none of it. It held no interest to her. It was far too dull to sit around and wait for lessons and the like.


Her cousin who often visited was a Tiger. He taught her hand-to-hand combat since he wasn't allowed to bring weapons to the estate. With him, Ran trained her chi as well. Her cousin is probably the reason for Ran's colourful vocabulary as well. Even so, Ran trained hard and entered White Tiger High as soon as she could. She finds it to be a great escape from the mundaneness of day-to-day life.

She's ambidextrous and hates being called by her full name. She's a surprisingly good actor.​

History:


Rezon was born as the fourth and youngest of his siblings. With two brothers and a sister, the chances of Rezon getting the throne was so low that he wasn't considered a candidate. Due to this, he was ignored. Well, as ignored as a prince can be. He was still pampered as all royals are, but lacked the attention from his parents that his siblings received. He didn't have many lessons since he wasn't being taught how to take over from his parents. This left him with a lot of free time.



Since his siblings were almost always busy, Rezon began playing with a servant boy around his age named Logan. Rezon and Logan spent most of their free time together. While the king and queen were weary of their son befriending a house servant, but did nothing to stop it. However, one day Logan was on an errand outside of the castle grounds. Rezon, being more and more curious about the outside world, decided to follow Logan.



His little excursion ended in a citywide search for him, guards being placed to watch over him, and Logan being dismissed. This, however, didn't have the effect that the king and queen were hoping for. After having a taste of the thrill the outside world held, Rezon made it a habit to sneak out on a regular basis. Despite the multiple measures that were put in place to prevent him leaving, Rezon became better at leaving the castle completely undetected.



His parents turned to a shepherd in hopes that giving their son a creature to look after would keep him busy enough that he wouldn't keep running off. After explaining their situation to a highly trusted and skilled shepherd, the shepherd told them who he thought would fit Rezon best. The kind and queen were glad to hear that a Regius was fairly high maintenance. They weren't prepared for how well a Regius actually suited Rezon. The fact they had gotten him two did little to help.



Rezon, now with his two felines, continued to sneak out and explore the world beyond the castle walls. More ways were implemented to try stop him, but he always got out some way or the other.


Disconnected Bridge


Everything in the universe is found as pairs. The same, yet very different. Day and Night. Life and Death. They are twins. Alitura and Halitus are no exception.
Viyan Arirf, Historian


Did you know, Viyan Arif was a world renowned historian and engineer in Halitus. He was the first person to discover the link to Alitura - now known as the Bridge. Only after his death was the truth revealed and only to a small, very select group. Arif was actually from Alitura originally. Aparently, some magic mumbo jumbo he was working on there went wrong and he ended up in Halitus. With no way to renew his magic, he was a bit stuck. He was smart though. He saved what magic he did have until he needed it. Arif was either lucky, cunning, or both. He and some other fellows teamed up after Arif convinced them to work on a teleporter. They managed to get it working for short distances, but Arif poured his magic into it and the Bridge was formed.


It would be more accurate to say that the Bridge was always there. Arif and his team merely opened the door to use it. You see, the Bridge is the space between the two worlds. It is what connects it. It's weird though. The Bridge seems to be getting shorter. The travel time between the worlds is way less. Don't you wonder if it could mean something?


What happened to Viyan Arif? He came back after a couple of years with a vial of something he claimed to be "magic essence". He then carried on to create the most successful company ever: Clockwork.

History:


Cecilia was born with poor eyesight and the strange looking eyes that come with it. Despite looking odd, her parents loved her dearly. She was raised with care and love despite her parents being busy with work. She lived happily until she was eight years old. Her mother, a hunter in Clockwork, received false information. Cecilia's mother had angered a scout without her knowledge. Trusting the scout, she was sent right into the middle of a dwelling in Alitura. Equipped to handle the smaller creatures, she had minimal ways to protect herself. Cecilia never heard from her mother again. Her father had to work overtime in order to earn enough. As an engineer in Clockwork, he was paid per creation. He rushed to complete creation after creation. It ended in a large explosion that caused a funeral and Cecilia to be taken in by her mother's brother and his wife.



While Cecilia's uncle tried to be kind, his wife loudly vocalised her dislike of the young girl. Stating that Cecilia's eyes were creepy and made her uncomfortable, Cecilia's aunt rejected the girl. Her uncle was persuaded into doing the same. Cecilia was now living with people who didn't want her around for the next several years. Even so, she did her best to remain as positive as possible. She tried to see what positives her damaged eyes had brought her. She realised that she heard better than most people which gave her a love for music.



When she turned sixteen, she was granted access to what her father had left her. One of his last creations was a pair of goggles designed to improve her eyesight. With the last gift from her deceased father, Cecilia left the home of her aunt and uncle to work as a scout for Clockwork. Knowing the pain from her mother's death, Cecilia wanted to prevent that from happening to anyone else. In her two years of service, she has proved to be a valuable and successful scout.

The Last Flicker


What if you woke up one day and found out that you weren't human anymore? What would you do if you found out one day you were one of the most important people to be alive right now? That would make you feel pretty special, but what would happen if it came true?


The year is 2032, the world is in a bit of turmoil. The Unemployment rate is up by 30 to 50%, the environment has taken a toll for the worse and not a lot of people are happy anymore. The world, at one point, used to be the happiest place until something happened. Not a lot of people know what, but that's when things started going down the toilet. To make matters worse, the rich have plundered on the poor, forcing many people into doing their bidding. Some have managed to get out of that, but even small businesses aren't safe from their greedy hands. The governments are in disrepair but are trying their best to protect the people, but they can only do so much. The only reason people haven't completely lost it is because of the mysteries.


Mysteries and curses have fueled the minds of children for a long, long time. They have grown up with believing they had existed at one point in time, a lot of children wished they would still be around and maybe the world wouldn't be a terrible place. While some mysteries are designed to make the people look in awe, there are others designed to make people fear them. Curses are the main reason why people both love and fear mysteries, many have even tried to find at least one of these mysteries but sadly, all would fail. It appeared as if many of these mysteries and curses didn't want to found...at least, not yet.
