"On their eighteenth birthday every vampire must drink the blood of a human, and shortly after be wed. Tis' a tradition that has lasted for centuries, specialised schools around the world have been hand picked by vampire families for centuries for the secretive planned enrolment of a mere few humans amongst the otherwise vampire population.
Luring in the newcomers with promises of a scholarship and dormitories at that of one of the most prestigious schools known to the area, for the unknown and desperate this seems like a dream chance, and to some maybe even a place to belong. But this place isn't creepy hallways and bloodthirsty creatures as one may think, in fact these vampires are all but normal teens like anybody else- just with the added burst of near immortality till the age of a many thousands.
Unlike what you heard they don't turn to dust in sunlight, or die at the taste of garlic, such rumours were simply spread by unkind humans, they're simply extremely sun sensitive, it can hurt their eyes and burn their skin a little, as for garlic their enhanced senses make the smell overwhelming. A cross doesn't do anything depending on their religion and running water well- they don't even know where that one came from.
They did get a few things right however, they can see in the dark and have to feed on blood once turned eighteen or risk loosing their mind and starving to death, up until such age they can indulge in human food just like any other, and are generally supplied bags of animal blood, though the action of sucking blood from a humans neck is reserved like the right of virginity. As time passes they slowly loose this ability till they can no longer even stand the thought of human food, and eating such can both poison and weaken them. (Think ghouls from tokyo ghoul)
They have advanced speed and strength in cases or other family lines can transform into bats, some rare noble lines even have the ability to create basic darkened illusions or make places impossible for humans to find, a neat trick which conveniently helps wandering strangers stop from simply stumbling into their schools, each is unique and different, just like all of us. There are some clear differences however, it seems none but the human students stay in the dorms, in fact they barely seem big enough to host the students attending the school, vampires have little need for sleep unless they choose to or over exert themselves, making the costs of rooms unneeded.
Along with that the cafeteria hosts only a small selection of foods and tables, then again most other high schools fit into the same situation. perhaps the most notable difference is the classes, unlike others this school boasts late afternoon and night classes for subjects not particularly normal sounding, the history lessons focus on odd timelines and facts not heard in other textbooks, phys ed is dominant by unnatural abilities and well, lets not even get into the topic of blood study and illusive hunting.
But even after all this nonsense, they're really just normal teens, stumbling through school like any other, having romance flings and dreams crushed by family expectations, and well, who would blame them for being stressed between arranged marriages and midterm exams?"

Hiya ya'll!! Hope ya enjoyed my overly long exposition to the plot, essentially this is a senior high school year based roleplay with the added twist of vampires and some of their family traditions, think along the lines of vampire night, if the night and day classes were switched, there are a few more works I've pulled inspiration from but they're rather unknown so I won't bore you with details! Anyhow, we have the basic roleplaynation rules of course and highly encourage romance of sorts though it's not needed, remember to fade to black if things get too raunchy and if anyone is causing drama or distress towards yourself please contact me in pm and I'll try my best to sort it out with both of you ending up happy. This roleplay will contain certain darker themes at some points so please do be prepared for that though there will equally be light and fluffy comedy moments. I beg you pppppplllllleeeeeaaaaasssseeee only join if you're going to be willing to stay, feel free to express interest even if you're busy and there will be plenty of chances to jump in later on, but I have plans for this rp and really want it to last long term, and I can't do it without all of your help.
I'm currently only looking for about 6-10 members MAXIMUM as in my experience here smaller tight knit groups tend to last better!! This'll be a character and plot driven roleplay, with plenty of chances for your own character arcs and movement from the story to keep things rolling. It'd be great if you'd be up to play small side characters as well since potential family members, fiancés, teacher, the principle, and more may need to pop in briefly from time to time, though I doubt any of these will need a character sheet unless planning to be played long term. The age range for the characters will be about 16-240, this including humans on the lower spectrum and teachers on the higher, though any vampires must be between 17-19 in age with VERY few exceptions, either pre or post first blood drinking. Sorry, I know this sounds like a lot of rules but I really want this to go well, and I promise it'll be heaps of fun, I'll be setting up and discord for discussion and ooc reasons for ease of communication but the main roleplay itself will be taking place on here. The last thing to note will be this roleplay will have some vague pairing in it, meaning genders will hopefully be somewhat even but at the same time I love me some good same sex romance as well, please do keep in mind vampires can end up with other vampires, though preferably all humans will pair with one of the creatures of the night, haha, anyhow thanks for reading all this, G'night!!
