Brown Rabbit |Character Sheet | "Let's make haste..."

Title(s): Beastman (Mundane) | Enigma
saxon saxon

The strange tunnel that Winrey crawled through had suddenly closed behind him. He jolted a little as he heard the swift sound of rock and dirt collapse in on itself, and turned to see that his only exit was now gone. In the time that he had been in the basement, his eyes had soon adjusted to the dark and now he was able to see well. Though what he saw just confused him even further. He walked towards some shelves and old tables, as well as a few forgotten items that belonged in a nursery, rather than a dirty warehouse. Who would leave children's belongings in such a place...? He thought as he ignored the panic screams of his companions in the other room. He was sure they were fine (mostly). And if they weren't well...He supposed he'd have to find a different way of getting back home, since they let him tag along. And really, if even a hoard of capable strong warriors couldn't handle the rats, what did the Towns people expect Winrey to do? My thoughts and prayers go with you if you don't succeed. Winrey thought to himself as he heard a particularly loud thump from the other room.

Winrey picked up a stray doll, and a few old toys that were among the strange assortment of childish items. For some reason, a familiar pit of anxiety formed in his stomach. This basement is just like...Madame Oakwell's basement. Minus all of the odd equipment used in his creation, the basement had a very foreboding atmosphere. It unnerved him greatly, and he quickly dropped the doll where it was and decided to move on. The noise from the other side was too much, and he could quite make out if there were any rats. Now that his eyes were adjusted to the dark, he was able to notice things about the crates.

They weren't nearly as weathered down as the ones in the above section of the warehouse. There were even fresh tracks in the dirt that looked as if the crates had been dragged here.
Perhaps this really is just an extra part of the warehouse? He tried to reason in his head, but another side glance at the children's items had him doubting everything all over again. Though...why would you need to store anything for children here? Is this also a home? He decided he'd test his luck and snoop around a bit while the others were preoccupied with what he assumed to be the very rats they came to deal with. He went over to the stack of crates, and tried to open it.

[“Cool, cool.”] She replied, glad her hammer wouldn't get in Kai's way. Wouldn't want to get in the way of the only person she could talk with, after all. [“Not yet, but it seems there would be enough stuff to find in this warehouse~”] She'd reply to his question on if she had the tools to set up a trap.

It turned out traps weren't going to be needed, however, as some rats managed to get in elsewhere. [“Oh my, those are some big fella's.”] She noted, upon seeing the rats. Five of them, the size of a big dog. Well, that would make them a lot easier to hit with Valerius. [“You're right buddy, we've got some rats to smash.”] She 'replied' to her hammer.

She looked as Kõmori went in to attack first, figuring she might as well see who she was teamed with and what they were capable off. Honestly, she had no clue what was going on, as her own style was a fair bit more simple. Just hit it as hard as she could~ This all looked a lot fancier. She was surprised when the rat managed to counter and knock the woman off her feet. Considering Kõmori seemed by no means a lightweight, it meant the rats packed a fair bit of a punch.

Surprisingly enough, the other rats didn't move in to attack. [“Well, would you look at that. These rats are indeed more than just some pesky beasts~”] She confirmed her earlier suspicions. It didn't matter though. [“Parry this, you filthy casuals!”] She shouted out as she'd bring her hammer down on the nearest rat (or group of rats if they were close enough together for AoE to work) with her [Hammer-On] move. Should any of them stagger nearby, she'd add a regular attack to it for good measure.

Tachanka

(Imagine picture here im lazy)
Character Sheet
(Tachanka Titles: Otherworlder, Beast, Canine)
(Milky Titles: Otherworlder, Beast, Furpent)

Tachanka turned attention to the rat issue that has become present in the room, believing that things would grow quite boring if they didn't solve the issue in the time during their job and spent the entire time dealing with it or doing nothing at all. Seeing as one of their smaller members had already went to investigate a small area no others were able to.

"Investigations like this aren't really an interest of mine, if one of you can just plug the rat-holes with something that'd be hopefully fatal to them that would probably be nice. Milky, if you could be a doll and not get into any trouble. Will hate having to pry you out of something, so just sit safe and don't trouble yourself. I know you're not empty-handed if you really have to do something" Tachanka answered to the furry surpent as she chose to don her shield, looking over the rats wondering what was up with them as she gave her own little appraisal. Such rats were probably not natural.

"Ah well, if I get hurt then that's just a risk that came with the job offered. Besides, anything hurt should probably heal back well enough" Tachanka mumbled as she had chose to approach the rats with rather reckless abandon, before more showed up or anything else worse could happen.

Actions
1. Use Full Inspection on one of the rats.
Full Inspection - Appraisal (F), Heightened Sense (E), Acrobatics (F), Athletics (F) - Inspect and appraise the target for anything notable using Appraisal, improved smell and hearing as well as knowledge on acrobatic and athletic capabilities to judge the target for theirs - Grade E - 1 Post Cooldown
2. Use Wardancer's Touch to rush-approach rats with her shield. Wardancer's Touch - Jumping (F), Athletics (F), Acrobatics (F) - To perform athletic actions (lifting or pushing heavy objects, stopping objects in motion, and supporting large weights) by using such skills to essentially use jumping as a weapon by jumping into/off of things. Natural Weapons (to use legs and arms) and/or well as a Shield (to shove, charge and shield bash) can be used for this - Grade F - 0 Post Cooldown
3. Move 15ft towards a rat.

Ralph watched as the others leapt straight into battle. Damn, were they all battle-maniacs or something? They seemed very prepared for this! Komori seemed a lot more alive than ever as she charged solo right into them, and the hammer girl was shouting something out in her foreign language as she bonked them. Maybe a sort of battle cry? She did seem like some sort of barbarian warrior...

Not wanting to be left out of the bunch, he’d follow right behind Almeida to provide a follow up attack to the rats, swinging at them with his [Heavy attack]. Unlike the others, he wasn't really experienced with combat, and neither did he feel any excitement from it. He just needed to get stronger so that he could be the one to protect others for once.

Heavy attack - Super strength F, Energized F - Ralph attacks with 200 lbs of force - Grade F - 0 Post Cooldown

  2. Heavy attack

Kai

___

Kai drew his sword upon hearing the rats, the chittering and noise being made from his compatriots , painted a simple picture. The collapsing of the tunnel wasn't great but the five overgrown rodents seemed to be the far more pressing problem in the warehouse. Watching most of the party charge forward Kai followed suite. There didn't seem to be much coordination amongst the group but for a handful of rats he didn't expect that there needed to be.

The Blind swordsmen would lunge at whichever rat wasn't currently preoccupied with a member of his party, darting left he'd slide to the left of the rat he found himself in front of. Kai dragged his blade across the ground, emitting a sharp screech of metal on rock and dirt. The noise washing over his opponent and hopefully giving him enough of a picture to stab at something. He'd slash twice at the rat. The first targeting any weaker points of the rodent. Specifically the legs and eyes, whichever would end up being an easier target. His next strike would attempt to plunge his blade into the rodants neck.

Kota jumped back as the tunnel collapsed, a bit worried for Winrey who was on the other side. This thought would have to be put on hold as more pressing matters were at hand. The rats in this world were a lot bigger than the ones in Kota previous one. The Kitsune began to loosen his shoulder as he prepared to fight. As the others were occupied with their foes, Kota picked up on one of the rats who had yet to spring into action. Kota planted his feet while coating his hand in magic energy as he aimed a strike straight for the rats temple, aiming for a kill shot or at least rendering the rodent immobile.

Kōmori let out a grunt of pain as the crates above her came crashing down on top of her. With some glee in her eye, she got back onto her feet, "Oh, now you are going to be fun, too bad I have to squash you," Kōmori sighed as she tightened her grip and surged forward as the rat was still covered in the corruption which was dealing damage to the creature due to the screeching it was constantly emitting. Following the same combat as before she struck the target bathing herself in a corruption aura as well as the weapon using Dark Continent Style Shinten, and Dark Continent Oni-Strike on the rat with the second ability cleaving through the rat and killing it. To those paying attention they could tell she enjoyed the rush of combat as she turned her sights on the next target.

Almeida brought her hammer down, two other rats were in fact close enough to be knocked back. However, the knockback pushed the rats against some of the rows of shelves, which caused them to topple over, spilling the contents of several crates onto the ground and making a loud crashing sound. In the process of this, a total of three rows of shelves toppled over after the previous shelf hit. But her attack did create more space between the group and the rats.

"Me? Get into trouble whatever do you mean? Besides, if I do isn't that why you are here my friend?" Milky responded to Tachanka with a playful sarcastic tone as the furpent backed off and put herself into a corner hoping to avoid the fight and the rats. As Tachanka rushed the rat that had been saved from the knockback, it simply looked the beastkin in the eyes almost with a defiant look.

After the hammer had landed, Ralph was quick with the follow-up coming up behind Almeida. As the axe was brought down the first time, it left a large gash in the creature as it squealed in pain. But the squealing was quickly but an end to as the second attack as he brought down the axe it delivered the final blow on the large rat as it let out one final squeal of pain. Then the rat's leg buckled from under it as it dropped to the ground.

Kai's quick action caught one of the rats off-guard, though the hammer attack from earlier certainly helped with sowing a little bit of chaos into the rats that were left. The sound of metal scraping against the lucky rock that it had it and gave the swordsmen a perfect picture. With the gap closed, the first strike landed true as the rat let out a screech of pain and jerked back. However, when Kai went to try and land another hit he suddenly felt lightheaded and was unable to swing the blade a second time.

Kota's quick reaction time caught the rat Kai had struck off guard as his attack went for the rats temple. He quickly felt the impact of his claws in flesh as there was the sound of bone breaking and the pulsing of the veins. However, as the rat squealed in pain that wasn't enough to kill the rat. In fact it only enraged the rat as it now had been punctured by claws.

The remaining rats quickly started to go into action, The rat that was engaged with Kai and Kota used Swipe as its paw came up and sent the blind swordsman off his feet and into the shelves behind the ground though luckily for them the shelves this time was against the stone wall. The rat then followed up with a bite as it clamped down on Kota's leg with all the force possible. Had Kota not been wearing armor his leg would have been severed from the bite force. The rat was stumbling about and definitely seemed like it was close to being finished.

The other rat that had been pushed into the shelf sprung into action, setting its sight on Ralph as he was the closest one to it. The rat went in to bite Ralph as it clamped down, the teeth instantly broke causing the rate to screech in pain as its teeth were now broken. In a rage it then used Swipe and sent Ralph flying though for him thanks to the shelf behind the group being destroyed, he simply crashed into the remnant of the former wooden crates. The rat then prepared to defend itself.

The rat that Tachanka was in front of continued to eye her wearily. The rat jumped at her and got past the shield she held up and clamped down on her arm, though not being able to put all of its force into the bite as it shook its head around and quickly let go. The rat then followed up with its swipe as it sent Tachanka back causing her to crash into Kai, and Ralph. The rat then took a defensive stance.

Meanwhile, in the basement,

As Winrey approached the crates, he noticed that the seemed to be sealed as there were nails visible on the top. However on the first crate, when he tried to open it, the lid came right off. Inside the crate was some hay and there seemed to be old keepsakes, there was a dagger that looked like it had seen better days, slightly rusty but other than that seemed to be in usable condition. The crate next to it took a little more force to open but when it was opened, there was some bottles of unopened wine, though the brand or maker couldn't be made out at least for the moment.

As he went to look at the next crate there would be some paper that had fallen between the other crates that would be seen. In the final crate, as he opened it there was a no bottom to the crate and there was a large hole. The hole could easily fit a person and there was a ladder that led further down into the darkness. Though currently there was no light at the bottom of the hole so there was no telling how far down it went.

She was a tad surprised she wasn't the only one eager to start battle. Especially the horned gal seemed rather fired up about it. “[Nice one!]” She complimented. Not like Kõmori could understand her, but it's the thought that counts.

She herself was having some good fun as well. Well, toppling some boxes wasn't ideal but... “[That was totally the rat's fault!]” She called out, as those bastards shouldn't have gotten themselves knocked back into those directions, so it wasn't like she herself damaged anything. She... might just have to settle on a decrease on her pay, wouldn't she? Ugh. She started to instantly dislike this job more.

At the very least the others were able to make use of the opening she'd created, as she spotted them attacking the rats as well. Even so, Almeida felt a tad bit offended. None of the rats bothered to counter-attack her! How dare they!

She figured she'd go for the easiest one first, the rat that was stumbling about after attacking Kai and Kota. A simple regular attack would likely be enough to smash that one into rat-pulp.

Her sights were set on the rat defending itself after it'd sent Ralph flying next. A simple and quick [Jab] with the pointed part of her hammer should pierce it down, if not outright kill it. The Valkanite on her hammer sparked a bit, ready to ignite the creature with Blight [Valkanite] F upon being stabbed.

That left her with some time to [defend] by bracing herself, as she'd seen how nasty these buggers could be with their counter-attacks.

As Winrey inspected the contents of each crate, a picture began to form in his mind about what might truly be going on here. This is someone's personal basement? That would explain the slightly rusted knife, which he decided to take with him. He stored it away in the bag he carried with him that held his books and holy water vials. He ignored the wine, it was of no interest to him. He picked one up to glance at the label curiously, and then put it back not wanting to damage any of the goods. More thunderous noise came from the other side of the tunnel, and he sighed. It seems they have broken something back there...How ever will we explain this to that noble? He'd explain that he had no part in whatever battle was happening up above once this was all over. He spotted the papers that had fallen, he picked one up to read. He stored some of them away in his bag alongside the dagger.

The last crate revealed another hole for him to climb down, though this one was even darker than the last. He knew previously that there were definitely rats scurrying about in the walls, but the deeper he went, the less certain he was about his next move. Before, he had only been acting because he knew where some of those creatures were. The hole before him was an oddity. The ladder rung also told him that he was definitely not the only person who came in and out of this place. They're still fighting those rats...and there's no way for anyone to come and see what I have found. But likewise, whoever left this ladder here also wouldn't be able to leave due to that tunnel collapsing. There must be an alternate way to leave then. He steeled his nerves, and carefully placed his foot on the first rung as he descended into the dark.

Actions:

  • Take "Rusted Dagger"
  • Read wine label
  • Read Paper, Take "Mysterious Paper"

“Damnn…” Ralph panted heavily as he finished off the rat, his heart thumping loudly in his ears and his hands trembling. So this was what it was like to take the life of another… He couldn’t imagine ever getting used to this; it was gruesome and disgusting. The corpse of the rat lying before him, the blood that splattered all over the place…

Just as he was spacing out for a moment, another rat burst forth from the shelves, biting at his armor. However, it was a big mistake as it broke its teeth in the process and Ralph was back to his senses again. “Stupid rat.” He snarled at it, which he immediately regretted as the rat’s attack had sent him flying into a bunch of broken crates, as if it had been offended by his remark.

Groaning, he pulled himself together and charged for the rat that had attacked him. It seemed like Almeida was already launching an attack of her own at it, but it wouldn’t hurt to follow up an attack on it. He swung his axe at the rat once more for a combo attack with Almeida, before bracing himself for a counter attack.

Finding that such attempts held little to no effect and getting herself back up, she noticed the visible destruction of things in the warehouse start to take place as she knew any payment that would be expected in compensation was not going to be on her hands in the slightest, grumbling to herself.
"I knew this was gonna be a stupid trip... " she huffed quietly about the whole ordeal as she returned back to knowing that the best she could currently do to help was continuing to apply pressure onto the rats while those with a more effective method of damage quelled their numbers until they were all gone. Hopefully, the little girly bunny that had went to explore the hole would be able to find something useful and not get caught in a closed space with one of said vile rat creatures.

"By the way, I'm going to call it before someone suggests it, one of you can't trash the whole place and ask to split the damage fees" Tachanka spoke on her reassurance that she was not going to pay for any such consequences on a job she didn't wholly want to come along for, beginning to repeat her initial strategy just to rely on continuing to be a public nuisance for their rat opposition long enough to continue dividing the rat's attention as they were weak alone.

Kota was focused on the battle as he quickly came in to support the blind swordsman who showed a moment of vulnerability while coming in for his second strike. Satisfaction filled the kitsune's face when he managed to step in just in time. Shortly after he noticed another rat come and swipe at the blind swordsman’s feet sending him flying into the wall. “Uh oh!” As his attention on the foe at hand broke, one of the rodents attempted an attack on his leg but managed to only get a mouth full of his armor as it stumbled back. The bite still left a dull pain in Kota’s leg but nothing severe. The kitsune's face filled with disgust as he thought about the possible diseases the rat could have been carrying.

The construct and Neko beast came to finish up the rat with a combo attack which Kota smirked. He was sure they could handle it leaving the last rodent that the Beastkin woman was fighting. He watched as she charged the rat with her shield, he’d wait for the Rat to turn its attention toward her. He stretched his claws out, coating them in magic as he prepared to attack the rat from its flank, aiming straight for the rodent's jugular.

One moment Kai was attempting to plunge his weapon into a oversized rat, the next he was flying through the air. It was impossible to tell how long he was airborne for, the impact with the crates sending him reeling. Collapsing to the ground his head rang, the sound of the ongoing battle filling his aching skull. The taste of blood slipped into his mouth, his fingers digging into the dirt floor as he attempted to push himself upwards. His body pleaded, begged for him to stay prone and for a moment he did. Failing on his first attempt he stayed unmoving on the cool dirt floor, the images he built through sound slowly melting away.

In an act of defiance against his own physical body Kai pushed himself up, using his blade to assist himself rising from the quite comfortable floor. His head was still fuzzy, his surroundings faded. Despite this he attempted to re-enter the fray, engaging with whichever rat was closest.

Kōmori now having closed the gap to the next closest rat tightened her grip around her weapons. Bathing herself and the weapon in corruption, she brought her strength behind her Nodachi, swinging the blade as it cut into the target the corruption on the blade moved to the rat. She quickly followed up with another Oni-Strike as she brought her Nodachi down a second time, putting the rat out of its misery. Looking over at the others in the group which seemed to be quickly moving on on the other last two remaining rats.

Almeida and Raplh's attacks quickly ended the rats life, as the hammer came down twice and ignited the rat, which started to screech in pain from the attack. Ralph's quick succession with his heavy attack was all it took to bring the rat down. As his axe cut into the rat there was the sound of bones breaking as he was able to cut clean through the rat. The force of the blow was great enough that the blood from the rat sprayed everywhere, covering the two.

As Tachanka charged the rat with her shield, she made contact with it forcing the rat to slide back a bit and just ever so slightly nudge the shelf causing a couple of glasses to fall over and hit the ground. As Kota came in for his strike, it landed true as the rat was caught off guard as he felt his hands dig into the rat. There was a screech of pain, though the rat wasn't finished yet. This allowed Kai to close the gap and finish off the rat as his sword plunged into the target and it went limp.

Seeing the last of the rats fall Kōmori's smile faded and went back to its more neutral expression with a sigh. The disappointment hung in the air around her as she moved over to one of the rats and wiped the blood from her blade. Taking a look around, she saw the damage and shook her head. Several rows of shelves had been toppled and many things broke when they had fallen off. "Well, it looks like we are going to get a good chunk of our reward taken away for damages, it seems," Kōmori stated as she looked at the rest of the group. Though with the tunnel destroyed and the group not knowing where it went, they for the moment, were cut off from their comrade.

Meanwhile, in the basement,

As for Winrey, upon tucking the rusty dagger away, there would be a feeling that keeping this dagger long-term might not be the best idea. Upon close inspection of the wine, the bottles would look fairly new. The labels were that of the Ryken Golden Brewery, from Kaisertin, a village known for their golden wheat that gets turned into ale, and the Ryken Golden Brewery that turns it into ale and turns grapes into wine. Though there looked to be nothing out of the ordinary about the wine.

Upon picking up the paper, it was written in rather crude writing that was just barely legible. Though the letter was obviously written by a child, and was addressed to a priest. The name of the priest was Mr. Yaungma. The letter seemed to thank the priest for healing a scrapped knee and chasing some rats away. Though there wasn't much else in the letter. As Winrey moved to go down the ladder, he would notice the stairs that led up to the next floor were hidden by a wall and could now be seen.

As the Rabbitfolk continued down the ladder, it was a solid 20ft before he was on solid ground again. The only light was from the whole above, the rest of the area was pitch black. But the sound of running water in the distance could be heard.

Kota- F Grade light armor is dented for the remainder of the RP or unless someone has the blacksmithing skill F or higher, however, repairs will take an hour.

Some folk were chatting, but she had no clue what it was about. If it was about tactics, she hoped they aligned with hers. If it was about something else, it probably wouldn't matter right now. After all, she'd fried up the rat she aimed at pretty nicely. She could've done without the shower of freshly heated rat-blood though. “[Ugh, gross.]” She complained.

She wasn't sure what Kõmori was talking about, but she could guess. “[You're right! That was barely a warm-up!]” She nodded. The other warrior probably felt like this had been rather disappointing as well. “[Hey, Kai, can you ask if anyone can track whomever or whatever sent these out? Clearly they're more than just animals, right? Or do you think the bunny from before is already covering their tracks?]” Last she'd seen that one, the rabbit had jumped deep into the rabbit hole.

As for herself, whilst she had no particular skill for it, she was curious. She'd go to one of the lesser-maimed rats in an attempt to study it. To see if there was anything off or identifiable about it. Perhaps anything that might even help them figure out where they came from.

Ralph gritted his teeth as his axe tore into the bones of the rat in front of him, trying his very best not to think about it. However, the blood from the rat splattered outwards, covering him and Almeida and reminding him of the life he had just taken. He couldn’t help but to gag at the blood all over him, feeling a little dizzy now as the world spun before his very eyes. Glancing at the others, they seemed to be doing fine at least. These damned lunatics… He had to pull himself together! Slapping himself in the face, the boy regained his composure. Well, for now at least.

Walking up to Almeida, he'd patted her shoulder. “You did good back there.” He commended while shooting her a thumbs up of appraisal, although he doubt she could even understand him. Still though, her knockback did cause a bunch of stuff in the warehouse to get destroyed, but oh well, it was pretty much bound to happen as they fought inside there anyway.

He’d then spot Kota with his armor broken. Thankfully, Ralph had the blacksmithing skill. “I could fix that armor of yours up if you need it.” He said, although it could cost them an hour’s time to get it done and it may be more efficient for them to continue on their journey for now.

As Winrey's feet hit the ground finally, he was back in the dark once more. He wished he had more sense to pack a lighter of some kind, then again he hadn't exactly planned on spelunking when he signed up for what had seemed at the time a simple quest. The surrounding darkness made seeing anything in front of him impossible, so he decided he'd have to rely on his own skills for the time being. How strange...there doesn't appear to be any rats down here...At least he had hoped so. As he strained his ears to listen to his surroundings, he advanced forward at a slow pace not wanting to trip over anything. As he walked, he thought about the items in the crates. He had tucked two of them away, one being a dagger that he now felt uneasy carrying, and the other was a crudely written letter from a child. Is this "Mr. Yaungma" the owner of the odd basement, then? It seemed to make sense, after all who else would hold onto these things? He had noticed the stairwell earlier during his descent. If anything were to go wrong, he'd make a break for it in it's direction and try to make it back to the others.

Winrey's grip tightened around the satchel strap on his shoulders, he was also ready to defend himself if something tried attacking him in his endeavor to explore this dark basement. What use would I be if I didn't at least try to see what is down here...? Going back now to tell them that there is some odd basement beneath us would be pointless. And with the ruckus they made with the rats, he didn't trust them to not break anything while they traveled in the dark. Someone with his ears and senses was much more accustomed to it, and careful. Another part of him was also just naturally curious. He'd gone this far now, and he was determined to find the truth.

Kota watched as his claws dug into the rats body, he was sure that the strike would end the rodent's life but much to his surprise the rat kept squirming and fighting. He would then feel the rat's body go limp as the blind swordsman sunk his blade into the rodent's body.

“Thanks” Kota nodded to the swordsman as he ripped his claws from the animal's flesh. A sigh escaped the kitsune's mouth as he looked down to see his hands painted red. He then took a look around to see the damage and chuckled at the Onis comment.

“Some of us seemed to get carried away in the heat of battle I suppose.” He said sporting a glance at Almeida. “But it did create ample opportunity,” Kota said, giving her a thumbs up. He’d then approach, picking it up by its tail and getting a good whiff of its scent. He figured if he could get a smell for the rodent then he would be able to track them down back to their nest.

His detective work would be cut short by Ralph offering up his blacksmith skills to fix Kotas armor. “I almost forgot that it got damaged in the fight, that would be great after this job actually, thanks!” He bowed towards Ralph with gratitude. “My name is Kota by the way.” He said, offering up his non-bloody hand for a fist bump.

Seeing that Kai and Kota managed to finish the last rats, Tachanka sighed as she was more concerned over the costs of the damages rather than the little bunny gir-  guy that had been lost to the unknown that was wherever the tunnels lead. Overhearing that people were already concerned about preparing themselves for anything that was to come or for leads on how to locate their other missing ally, Tachanka just silently pondered looking at the damage that she in no way wanted to take any blame for doing as she considered if they could possibly try to sweep some of it under the rug while nobody was keeping an eye on the progress of their mission. Humming in thought for a second, she looked around if there was a broom or anything.

"I wonder if we could just sweep some of this damage into the rat tunnels and deny involvement" she chirped curiously, before remembering.
"Like, probably after we get the short one found and out".

Kai freed his blade from the rat, wiping the weapon clean on his pant leg. Glancing down at the rodents corpse Kai kicked it lightly, there wasn't much for him to actually inspect based on the fact he had no eyes. As Almedia requested another translation he relayed their question to the group. "Almedia wants to know if there is anyone who can figure out where these rats came from." With another simple glance back and forth he returned to the whole Winrey found themselves trapped in.

He didn't pay much mind to the concern of the damages, merely running his hand across the collapsed opening. With a mere "Hm." The swordsmen stood, awaiting to see what the group would decide on doing next. He just hoped the rabbit was currently getting torn apart by some rats that failed join in on the assault

Actions/Abilities:

Kōmori turned to look at the hammer-wielding fighter as she spoke. However the language was still lost to her, and somewhere in the translation, she got lost and had to use the hand signals that were given. As she went to examine the oversized rats, dirt covered the fur of the creatures. however, upon close inspection, there was some red-colored dirt mixed into the fur. Though the holes were large enough that just about anyone could crawl through them.

As Ralph congratulated the hammer-wielding fighter on the battle, though as the group looked around the damage looked like it was going to cost a pretty penny to fix. As Ralph mentioned the dented armor Kōmori looked over and saw the dent. "Well is anyone else hurt?" She inquired for a moment before starting to look at the holes the large rats had come out of. From a quick glance the tunnel seemed to go on for quite a way.

As Kota made his comment about the mess, Kōmori couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as she looked over her shoulder. When she looked back a second time the Kitsune was picking up the wolfhound-sized rat by the tail and sniffing it. Though the scent would lead him to one of the large holes the rats crawled out of. Though anyone in the group could tell that these rats were far from normal.

As Tachanka mentioned sweeping things under the rug or attempting to, Kōmori looked disappointed at the idea. Though that wasn't to say she didn't understand it but there was a bit of pride lost in the idea. "You call yourself a warrior? Whats the matter if some of the shelves and boxes are lost, I'm sure the village will pay far more if the rat problem is dealt with," She pointed out standing up and wiping the dirt from her hands. Milky on the other hand finally came out of the corner and started to examine the area herself looking closer at the contents of the crates which didn't seem to house food at all from what she could tell.

As Kai kicked the corpse it didn't even shutter truly verifying that the creature was dead. As someone finally translated what Almeida asked the group earlier, Kōmori pointed toward the Kitsune which she assumed would have the best chance of hopefully being able to track something. Though she wasn't entirely sure nor was she exactly thrilled about potentially going into the hole. But at least for now, hopefully the group could deal with the rats before someone came to check on the warehouse.

Meanwhile underground,

Winrey continued in the dark as he moved forward. As he got further and further from the little light that illuminated the hole, he was enveloped in darkness. Now being left only with his hearing, he would have to slowly move about. Over time, he would hear the sound of rushing water getting closer to him with each step. Every now and then there was the sound of a rock falling which echoed throughout the cave system he now found himself in. At least for the moment finding some kind of light would probably be preferable to continue on unless the bunnykin trusted their senses that much.

Kota- F Grade light armor is dented for the remainder of the RP or unless someone has the blacksmithing skill F or higher; however, repairs will take an hour.

There might have been a tad more damage than preferable, but she was in a great mood regardless. When she got a sudden pat on the back, she looked at the catguy, who told her something that sounded positive and gave her a thumbs up. “[Muahaha! I know right! Those rats didn't know what was coming to them, we got 'em good!]” She laughed as she cheerfully replied back, knowing she'd at least get the vibe across. “[If I've got any payment left after damages, ale's on me!]” She offered. Not that anyone would hear her, other than Kai.

She spotted the multi-tailed fellow (Kota) glance her way short afterwards. She wasn't sure what he was saying, but he gave her a thumbs afterwards, so she happily waved at him with a laugh. “[Hah! A silly thing such as a language barrier can't stop us from forming the bonds of comradeship against these rodent foes!]” She proclaimed, to nobody in particular, other than perhaps Kai. It was peculiar to see the more canine fellow start sniffing dead rats, instead of the feline one, but to each their own.

As for her own rat-inspection, she only spotted they might've been bloodied before. Assuming it wasn't red paint she saw dirtying their fur. “[Seems like some of them were covered in dried blood and dirt even before they got butchered by us. Assuming it's not paint.]” She figured she'd relay that information to their blind companion.

On the topic of that... “[Best we keep the rat bodies around to show the damage caused wasn't just us being reckless. Those things would've broken a lot on their own if we hadn't been here either, big as they are. Either that or they would've stolen it. I'm still convince we've got ourselves a ratmancer or something.]” She stated the theory she'd been brewing since the start, although this time with even more conviction.

As for crawling through the holes... No thanks. She was pretty sure those spaces were far too small for her to defend herself should she encounter a rat. Besides, she'd already spent one life miserable in some mines. She had no desire to go underground again in this life as well. She did, however, try to peer into them to see what direction they came from. Perhaps they could estimate where they'd started digging from that way?

“I see, so you’re a lunatic as well.” Ralph muttered under his breath as Almeida laughed heartily in reply to his thumbs-up giving. It was almost as if killing these monsters were just like killing mere ants to these people. This girl here seemed to be having loads of fun, and the Oni as well. They didn’t seem to be fazed at all, which meant that they must be veteran fighters. Wait a minute, was Ralph the only rookie here? In that case, it was probably still too early for him to have a spar with the Oni samurai, or anyone for that matter.

When Kota offered a fist bump, Ralph would eye him for a bit with a stern look on his face. “There's no need for thanks. You ought to be more careful next time.” After saying this, he would chuckle jokingly and extend his own fist to meet Kota’s. “The name’s Ralph. Pleasure to meet you.”

Komori would get angry at Tachanka who wanted to hide the rat bodies, mentioning something about being a warrior which Ralph felt puzzled by. “Well we could consider your idea...” Ralph chimed in to Tachanka’s suggestion, as he glanced over the damaged boxes and blood stains all over the room. “However cleaning up all this mess might take a while, and we’re better off getting to the root of the problem ASAP.” Finishing his sentence, he’d turn to face the large hole which the rats had came from. “Shall we head in then? I'm afraid our bunny friend might be feeling a tad bit lonely without us.”

As winrey continued forward, it was soon impossible to see in front of him and his eyes weren't adjusting to the dark of this gloomy cave. Though he had no matches with him, he did come prepared for such an ordeal. He felt around for his satchel, and stuck his hand in it until he was able to grab one of the holy water vials. With a shake, he was able to determine that it was a full one which is what he would need. He read in his Alchemy book earlier a simple trick to create a "glow" effect in water which included transmuting water into luciferan, the same chemical that made fireflies glow so brightly. With a shake of the vial, a pale yellow light emanated from it and Winrey was able to see finally, though not by much.

He noted the cave he was in, and was awed by what he had stumbled upon. I see I've found something I probably shouldn't have...There didn't appear to be any rats, though. Winrey decided he'd watch his step now that he had a light source and can also see the stream of water. It would also help to not get hit in the head by the falling rocks from above.

Tachanka simply rolled her eyes at the opinions she had received in answer from Komori and Ralph, shrugging as she answered back.
"I never called myself a warrior, little princess. It's just a suggestion, if you're going to use your own time and life doing something for someone else's benefit, it's always important to consider what you're getting out of it. Would you be pleased if nobody presented you with any reward for this, but only left was proof of damage you've dealt? Give people a reason to be mad and they'll go to the ends of existence with it" she answered as she glanced at Milky just to see if she was doing completely okay while waiting for everything to be over. She had no idea about anything that Almeida has said due to language barrier, but just nodded like she was listening and paying attention. Tachanka had no clue, so it wasn't like she could be held up to anything that she couldn't understand.

When Ralph mentioned about joining the bunny that was in the rat's tunnels, the canine girl mumbled under her breath a sarcastic remark.
"Thought that rabbits lived in holes, she should be right at home... " she mumbled softly before sighing and slowly stepping forth.
"Well, might as well before the rodents start cooperating for world domination.... if rabbits are rodents, I don't know. I don't see these bunny-eared little ones at all anywhere" she spoke as she chose to hold her tongue on the potential that there may have been pocketable valuables within the rat tunnels, choosing to save it just in case anyone else tried to stop her or call her out on it. I mean, it's already missing to the villagers so why does it matter who it's missing to at this point?
