In The Shadows...

With every step Lucas took the sloppy, brown, wet mud sloshed onto his sneaker as he ran throung the dirty streets just beforn sunrise. Clouds covered the city, giving it a gloomy, spooky look. Just last night a group of police men had him on his toes running from a pack of dogs. Luckily he could blend in with the stone walls in the alleyways, but the shadows gave him another advantage. Lucas ran until the skies had turned an orangeish color, and now the blue was seeping in on the horzion. He had found an alley he could call home, at leqst for a few hours. He haden't eaten for two days, and now craved somthing to munch on. He leaned back in the corner of the alley where the shadows always lurked, no matter what time of day. Scanning the dimly lit area, he heard a small squeak and felt somthing run across his foot. In a matter of seconds he had caught a small mouse. Being a Gargoyle, it didn't bother him much, so he simply ate it alive. Within an our he had caught, and eaten three more. He looked into the streets at all the normal people. Not much in this side of town, being the darker, crime-infested area, but that gave Lucas a great place to live. Lucas leaned his head against the cold concrete wall and tared into the streets, on the lookout for anyone, Anything.

Hazel blinked her eyes open, finding it was only before dawn. She sighed and sat up. She could not recall what had happened to get her there, but now all she knew was that she was in an old shack, which was more of a garage. She could see droplets of blood on the cold, cracked ground underneath her. A ray of light peeked through a rack in the "Roof", which was falling apart. Blood was on the side of her face, as far as she could tell, and a cut on her arm seemed to be the main source of the slight dripping. Automaticaly, she knew what had gotten her there. It was one of her little 'Scenes", if you would all it that. At random times, random places, she would break out in a rampage, gong maniac Vampire-Witch on people without having a clue what was going on. She would kill, rob, fight, pretty much do whatever with no concionce and no memory of what really went on. She couldn't control anything. As she wiped the blood off of her face with her sleeve, she peeked her head outside to see a large blimp with a screen, playong the daily anthem. hazel did not sing along, nor did she hum, or respect it in any way. The Government hated her, everyone hated her. Still watching, Hazel payed close attention as a warning went out to all people of Otaria. BE ALERT OF THE UNKNOWN. THE GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED OF RECENT ATTACKS ON HUMANS BY UNKNOWS. WATCH YOURSELFS. REPORT ANY UNUSUAL BEHAVIOR IN FRIENDS OR FAMILY, AS WELL AS SIGHTINGS OF THE BEINGS... The message played on until the blimp was out of sight. Hazel cleaned herself up and pulled her dark hood over her face and walked into the almost empty streets. Luckily no one noticed the drops of blood that stained her skinny jeans as she rushed through the streets of town.

He sat in a room lit by only one candle.

The light of the candle was bouncing off the walls and dancing on the bodies of the dead humans that littered the floor.

From old to young, tall to short, thin and fat humans where scattered on the ground.

Pools of blood circling there bodies.

The demon sat in a chair in the middle of the room, his forked tail playing in one of the blood pools.

The demon wore a black suit, with a white handkiercheif in his jacket pocket.

He had shoulder length mess white hair, a set of horns on his forhead, one blue and the other red.

He had deep red eyes. As red as the blood that his feet where resting in.

He smiled, his teeth stained red.

Well, he thought, Better get out of here.

Aziazel stood, brushed a dust bunny off his shoulder and walked towards the door.

Before opening the door he turned around and said, "Dont go anywhere lovelies."

He laughed and walked outside into the cold night.

Sarah walked down the alleyway, hood drawn over her head to hide her ears. Her tail, tucked into her sweat pants.

She was humming a song, she didnt know what song. She had heard it over the radio one day when she was walking past the fish market.

Ever since then, it just kind of stuck. It didn't bother her though, she loved music.

A group of house cats where following her as she made her way in and out of alleys.

Her only family.

Aside from the stray cats, she was alone in this world. This world that hated her for no other reason then the fact of who she was.

She was proud though of who she was. Proud of her abilities. They had saved her more times then not.

Finally, she made it to her favorite dumpster, the one right outside the fish market.

She quickly turned into a panther and jumped inside the trash.

She sniffed and pawed around until she found some good food.

Sarah picked up two half eaten salmon and dropped on the ground, for her kin to eat.

Then, she turned back, grabbed the trout she saved for herself and hopped out of the trash.

She curled up and proceeded to eat her find.

Surrounded by her family, eating delicious fish and not a single care in the world.

Sarah was happy.

Hazel found herself wandering through the streets. She was now taking everythng at a smooth, leisurley pace. Not many people were around right now. She was glad, incase she sp never haazed out again, but that was unlikely. It usually didn't happen that often, but she couldn't be so sure, not being able to remember and all. Sighing, she brushed her hair behind her ear. It was cold, even if she had her jacket on. Her hood was still over her face, concealing her red eyes. If she looked in a mirror they looked like blazing emebers in a winter's night fire. She had once met someone, like herself, who commented they were "Beautiful." She never understood. How could she, someone, Ahem, SomTHING, like her be "Beautiful"? She shook the thought out of her head. She didn't like to think of things that way. Her human looks, she thought, were alright. But her other side, no one could ever accept that as "Beautiful" And her eyes represented just that, her other side.

As it got later she found herself on an odd little street. She looked ahead. Her hood was now behind her, she had taken it off at the lack of people in the area. She squinted her eyes not to reveal the red. Up on the street she saw a white haired boy.. Who appreared to have.. Horns? Yes, Horns. "Hello?" She shouted ahead, pulling her hood over her face to conceal herself incase she was mistaken.

He saw her a mile away.

A Aswang. Its been almost a century since he last saw one.

She had pulled her hood over her head, a nervous one.

Azaizil smiled and kept his pace, walking towards her.

"Excuse me, ma'am? Do you mind if i call you ma'am? Because technically you aren't a ma'am. Well i guess you are, but at the same time you aren't. Oh look at me blabbering about, anyways, what can i do for you, young Aswang?"

Azaizil grinned, his teeth no longer stained.

((my first time posting 2 characters please be nice))

Kaleo stopped dead in her tracks thinking about which way to go. there was a road into town and a road to the outskirts. She shiver and hears the faint sounds of a police car approaching her. Standing there unable to move she was pulled into a bush and had her maw held shut. being dark she was not able to see the person holding her. untill he spoke.

"Shhh" Jacobi hushed her. His sister was not all there in the head. He held her down till the police car drove by and didnt move untill he knew it was gone. He poped her on the head "Are you stupid??" she said in a angry whisper. "You could of got your self killed". Knowing she would lock up every time 'They' came by he tryed to stay healthy and not to get killed.

Natalia was on a rooftop staring at what little amount of town lights showed below. She was on the "normal" side of town where everyone was asleep peacefully in their beds. Well, mostly everyone. She knew that Otaria was filled with things like her lurking in the shadows. But really, she had no interest in interacting with any of them. Her goal was fresh in her mind. Unless they would be of use to her in some manner, making small talk with anyone seemed counter-productive to her.

Her black coat swishing in the cool dusk breeze, she hopped down from the rooftop and landed on the concrete below on her two feet with ease. She looked left and right, the streets surrounding her silent. Flashing lights and the sounds of sirens were both absent to her relief. The government officials never took a liking to people like her, or anything remotely strange.

"Closed-minded fools..." She mumbled. Her black coat had a hood and she pulled it up over her head to shield her face and casually walked down the street, her heels clicking audibly against the ground.

Meanwhile in another part of Otaria, a reaper was doing his job. Finally convincing a rather stubborn soul it was time to move on, Logan moved his hand in a circular motion. The shape blew light steam and then strange purple symbols appeared in front of him. A portal before himself and the spirit opened, and with a kind hand he gestured for the spirit to go through. The middle-aged man had clear hesitation on his face.

"Wait...s-so you're sure there isn't-"

"There isn't a way for me to bring you back to life." Logan said bluntly for around the 60th time by now. "This is the only way. Either that, or you stay on earth and become a malevolent, evil sort of monstrosity that will end you up with being put in your place anyway."

The ghost sighed deeply, realizing there truly was no other way. Logan gestured again to the portal, completely used to how the recently deceased act and their stages. This man had finally reached the acceptance stage and began making his way to the portal. Before he passed through completely, he stopped and spoke with a last-minute sense of urgency in his voice. "Where will this take me?"

Logan's face stayed completely straight this entire time. "Wherever you are meant to go is out of my power and knowledge. But if you've lived an honest life, you should have nothing to worry about."

The man's face immediately changed over to a nervous one. As he was about to speak again, the portal closed up, whisking him away to beyond. Logan sighed deeply and ran a hand through his shaggy black hair. The sun would be up soon, marking the end of his shift. Turning around, he saw flashing lights. Quickly, he darted for an alleyway and waited for the cop car to pass by. When it was far along down the street he looked at the back of it, a sharp glare taken over his facial features.

Kaleo pushed her brother off herself. "Get off me would ya"

she glared his way standing up brushing the dirt off her clothes.

she walked around the bush into the light of the street lamp. looking

back at Jacobi she jerked her head in motion for 'come here'. As he

Approached her she climbed onto his back. looking around she seen another

building in the distance about a mile away. she pointed and they where off.

Jacobi was pushed off his sister. He looked up at her worried. "Im just trying

to keep you safe Kal" she stood watching her closely as she walked around

the bush. "Where are you going" he groaned. he watched her motion for him to

'Come here' so he did. he approached her and she climbs on his back and

pointed to a building. it was old and run down. deserted to the looks of it.

Jacobi started walking to the building. 'its going

to take a good thirty minutes' he thought. picking up the pace he jogged to

the building seeing police lights in the distance.

The small, fragile white flakes drifted onto the concrete, creating dark specks of wetness. As more of the flecks fell down from the dark clouds above, it became colder and colder. A few humans looked up towards the sky, and held out there palms. They caught a few of the snowflakes, and grew suspicious. A few minutes ago, it had been a sunny and clear day. What had been the cause of this unusual weather?

Icy blue eyes stared forward, but they were not looking at the snowflakes. The pair of eyes were looking past them at the dark city below. Something was not right about the iciness in the felines gaze. There were swirls of ruthless emotion invading the light colored eyes.

The feline had pure white fur that blew softly in the piercingly cold wind. Taking two large leaps, it got even closer to the edge of the roof. It leaned it's head over the side slightly, and looked down. It was looking for something. But what? The feline continued to search, and eventually, it's icy eyes stopped on a particular figure with a black hood. A deep, fierce growl formed in it's throat, baring rows of razor sharp teeth at the figure below. The person did not seem to notice the unusual large cat staring it down from the roof.

With a swift leap, it jumped off the roof and landed on all fours. Almost as soon as it landed on the snowy concrete, it broke into a fast run towards the figure it had seen earlier. The person turned around, but not in time. The large white cat barreled into him, knocking him onto his back. He groaned in pain, and tried to stand up. But the feline had already pinned him down with a paw on his throat.

"How dare you show your face around here." The feline roared fiercely, baring it's razor sharp teeth at the man. He cowered in fear, beginning to shake and tremble.

"I-I thought y-y-ou were gone." The man murmured in a voice full of fear. The cat's paw that was on his throat suddenly tightened and long claws shot out of the front.

"You think lying is going to help you?" It spat, leaning its face closer to his in a menacing way. The man gave a quick shake of his head, and than gulped.

"I-I'm sorry, Carla.." The man whispered, and closed his eyes slowly. The feline's eyes widened a little bit, but showed no surrender in its icy gaze.

The pure white cat suddenly leaped off of the man, lashing its fluffy tail. He immediately stood up, but continued to tremble.

"Get out of my sight." Was all the feline said, and before it knew, the man was gone.

The feline padded away, making deep paw-prints into the thin snow.

In only a few seconds, there was a girl standing in the cat's place.

"Well, that's odd," Melody murmured to herself as she stopped to watch the snowflakes fall. She had found a small bench underneath the awning she was walking under, and took a seat so she could rest her feet and set down her guitar as she watched the out-of-season snowfall. A tune began playing in her mind, and soon Melody was humming along, thinking of words to put to the nameless melody. Deciding that she could always put words to the song later, she dragged her guitar case around the side of the bench so that it was laying at her feet and opened it, retrieving a few pieces of blank sheet music and a pencil.

Still humming, Melody started recording the notes she was reciting, and soon two of the blank papers were filled. Feeling satisfied with her work for the moment, Melody packed away her supplies and picked up her guitar case again. She had to find a good place to set up for her street performance before the crowds really started pouring in.

As she walked away from the befuddled few who clogged the streets of Otaria, she vaguely wondered what kind of creature had caused it to snow.

~_~_~_~_~_~

Waltz watched the Demon approach the Aswang, wondering briefly if they would be upset to know he was spying, but he didn't much care for the thought and quickly brushed it aside. It was a thought that often plagued him, as he was always eavesdropping, stalking, or simply watching the humans and creatures that roamed about Otaria. He had nothing else to do, and observing the lives of people around him allowed him an escape of sorts from his own life. For Waltz, it's like watching a movie play out on the screen. Only, he got to imagine what the characters were saying, under what circumstances they met, and what they were doing. Or, if he was too lazy to come up with a plot of his own, he would simply venture a little closer to the action so he could actually hear what the others were saying, figure out what they were doing, and why they were doing it.

Which, at the moment, was precisely what he was doing. Waltz sneaked across the roof, silently darting from the far side to the lip that was hanging directly above the duo's heads. He peaked over the edge of the roof to clearly see just who he was listening in on, but quickly drew away from the edge, not wanting to alert either to his presence. He crawled backwards away from the edge until there were a few feet between him and the end of the roof. He laid down quietly, hoping that the two below him were too occupied in each other to notice him.

Kaleo jumped off Her brothers back. looking up in to the sky "What the hell??"

she narrowed her eyes at the sky wondering why it was being bi polar.

"Jacobi... why is causing this" She asked her brother but there was no answer.

he just grabbed her taking her inside.

"Please tell me you know whats going on?" she pleaded to know.

Jacobi also looked at the sky pulling Kaleo inside. He grunted at her question.

"Kaleo I don't know... I have no clue but its not right" she pushed her into the

next room and shut the door. "We will have to camp out here for a while."

He leaned against the door and slid to the ground watching Kaleo sit across the room from him

The girl took several steps, walking in the white snow that littered the ground. Of course, the cause of this weather was because of her. The strength of her powers allowed it to snow in each town she stepped foot in. But how would anybody know that? To most people, she looks like just a normal girl. A pretty face, long pink hair, ice blue eyes.. But nobody is seeing behind the mask the girl had. She was a shifter. But not just any. A rare one. One you would come across just once in your lifetime.

She was a shifter of the Snow Panther, a rare and strong creature that possessed power and purpose. Without the race of the Snow Panther, there would be no snow. No cold weather. The whole world would be a hot and humid place if it wasn't for her. Sadly, she is the last of the Snow Panthers. The rest were killed off by poachers or died of old age. But somehow she managed to survive. Or at least for a while.

There was multiple people after her, humans in fact. They've seen her in her Snow Panther form, slipping through the snow covered woods and disappearing from sight. They tried hunting her, thinking it was the best to kill off the last of her kind. But in her opinion, humans are not the smartest nor the greatest of things. They were greedy, selfish, and wanted nothing but power and ambition. But that is only her opinion.

The man from earlier, was indeed someone she knew. He was one of the poachers who had tried to hunt her down. He thought he was clever enough to follow the snow, knowing she was the reason that caused it. But he was not. She could sense his presence as soon as he stepped into her snow. Following her was only the greatest mistake of his life. How he knew her name? She did not know. She just hoped he would stay out of her way for now, unless he wanted to take his chances.

The snow on the ground became thicker and thicker as the girl walked on the sidewalk with slow steps. She very much preferred the snow. The coldness of the weather was relaxing to her. The heat, however, made her feel very uncomfortable and weird. She didn't like it one bit.

She continued to walk along the sidewalk, a plain expression on her face. She noticed that the humans around her were chattering about the strange weather, and she couldn't help but grin. In her mind, they were pathetic, useless creatures that didn't deserve to be here. She's never knew one personally. Which explains the reason why she hates them so much. Most of the humans she has met were mean and cruel. And now she judges all humans to be that way. No matter what size, height, eye color.. They will always be the same to her.

Belial stood in perfect stillness; he looked around, his hands tucked into his pockets. Everything around him was so still and quiet, like some sort of unison of silence had overwhelmed the small space of that alleyway. His dull green eyes took in the environment. The brick was cracked and withered out from the Rain and other chemical substances. His pink lips parted releasing a small puff of smoke into the cold air.

He turned on his heel and walked deeper into the darkness of the alleyway; his white hair moving with the subtle breeze breaking through the alley. The hard bottom of his converse banged against the dry floor like tapping shoes on wood. The sound made him feel like he wasn’t completely alone. He walked past an old set of stairs leading to a giant cathedral sized door leading into a huge house. He paused and looked up, a small curl of a smile on the side of his lip. He liked old things. The house seemed old; worn down. He reached out softly his pale slender hand touching the wall of the old building, his fingertips feeling the rock almost crumble under the pressure of his strength. He frowned.
Why can’t I touch things without hurting them.. His mind whispered as if he were afraid the voices would creep out of his head and into the air where someone could hear them.

His head suddenly turned to the direction he was going as his ears picked up a small rattling noise coming form the end of the darkness in the alley. He smiled a bit as a small demon girl emerged, her mouth covered in blood. He watched as her pink tongue caressed thelinings of her lips whipping away whatever was left of her newly eaten victim. He sighed into the air walking towards her. She was small enough to sit on his shoulder, which she did. She jumped with unbelievable push and floated onto his shoulder.

Did anyone see?she spoke. Her red eyes steadied on Belials face. Her voice was like a little girl’s saddened tone. Her tiny hands grabbed on to the hood of his jacket as she held on when he began to walk again, turning around towards the clearness of the street.

No Helena,He whispered softly to her, his head turning to the side, her eyes meeting his. Again; his steps where the only audible thing around. There was an uneasy feeling lingering in the air on both their parts. Maybe it had been because she had just ripped a human’s heart out and fed on it like a piece of fresh meat like it was nothing; Or maybe it was the fact that he let it happen. Either way there was a dead woman laying by a trashcan in the alley like a rag doll. His mind began to wonder as to what his life would be like if he had never met his Helena. He quickly shook the thought out of his head knowing; Helena had loved him when no one else would. She was everything to him as he was to her.

Good, Where to?She spoke again, he voice leaving a lingering hissing sound in his ear, her tongue snaking out with the S, like a snake.

I found such an interesting book, Helena.. It’s so beauty-She cut him off, Stop it, Belial! You are a killer, enough with the love story books..She scolded. He closed his mouth, his green eyes focusing on the road before them as they began to make their way down the sidewalk. Helena sighed watching his expression change. He really was a child still, and she was crushing him. But she was heartless after all. He placed her small hand on the back of his head, petting his white hair softly, her fingertips twirling the ends of his locks.

You know I’m just trying to –Protect me..He finished her sentence, his hands snaking their way back into his pockets and he nodded. She bitt her lip and said nothing the rest of the walk.

That night had been especially difficult for Belial. It marked his 19
th year anniversary of his life. They would of called it a birthday but it was far too much of a mess for it to be called anything like that. He knew it was his 19th birthday because they had snuck into the database files of all births for the past 19 years and found his old file registered to his parents who had been deceased for a few years now. Belial sighed as they reached a small warehouse, the lights where shut. He grabbed the door knob and entered. That was their domain. A dark and cold abandoned warehouse.

Belial watched as Helena jumped off of his shoulders taking her place on top of a home grown tree inside. She liked to be in the leaves. She curled up in the branches and watched Belial as he plopped down onto his bed against the wall and picked up an OLD book he had found buried in a box out in the woods from an ancient city. The book was from the year 2007 and the only book he had ever found that old in the whole city. It was his treasure. The book was called
The gargoyle – By Andrew Davidson. A beautiful love story.

Belial was fascinated with love stories. He had never been able to find love. Women loved how he looked and where drawn in by his enchantment, but never came to him just because. It was something he had to live with. All the love he had ever gotten where the ones written in the page of his old books. He delicately flipped through the pages; Reading. His lips curled with the pleasure the words brought to him. Here he was home.

Jacobi Sighed as his eyes grew heavy. forcing them

to widest he watched Kaleo making sure she didn't run off.

The room was filled with a gloomy glow as he watched her.

Jacobi yawned looking as the light from the flame of the

Candle danced off her face. "Are you tired?" she leaned

his head back yawning again. He slowly fell asleep.

Kaleo felt her brother watching her as she whispered a

song to herself. looking over at Jacobi she watched him fall

asleep. she quietly stood up and grabbed a piece of paper.

She wrote 'Im sorry Jacobi. You will be better off with out me big brother.

Please don't be mad. Ill see you soon. Goodbye My Brother.'

A tear fell from her cheek on to the paper as she set it in Jacobi's

lap. She exited the door and took off down the street her feet splashing

in the puddles of the melted snow. she slowed to a walk looking for another

building to hide out in. She approaches a warehouse building. as she enters it she sees

a male with white hair sitting against one of the walls reading a book.

the door slams behind her.

((I'm changing Kaleo and Jacobi up some))

"I was just wondering if you were... Like me.. She said to him in a hushed tone. She was somewhat frustrated at him calling her by her species name. Gosh she hated it, so, so much. Sighing she looked at him. "I am sorry if I wasted your time..." She whispered. A lady walked by and have her that suspicious look. Hazel pulled her hood over her dark blonde hair and brushed it back with her fingers. She watched the lady hurry off out of the corner of her eye. She sighed and took one last look at the demon boy. "I will be going, maybe I shall see you again." She whispered and turned. She sighed and walked slowly off, ignoring the rain starting up. It only took minutes before it was pouring and her clothes were almost soaked. She turned a small alleyway and sat under a building, close to where her as the boy had been recently standing. She sighed and took shelter under the part of the roof that poked out of the side. She looked down at the ground, then to the streets. Nothing seemed right today. She blocked a bit of water out of her eye and rubbed it with her finger. She looked up at the roof. She could have sworn she saw somthing atop it move. (Sorry it took so long :( )

Carla stopped dead in her tracks, looking towards the sky as she heard multiple gunshot sounds ring out around the area. She winced every time the gun was shot, gripping her ears. Since she was part Snow Panther, her ears were extra sensitive. Even to the littlest of sounds. Like a book being dropped on the floor or when someone screams from far away. It made her ears ache and throb in pain.

Deciding to check out what was going on, she shifted into the large white feline and took off down the snowy sidewalk. People stopped and stared in fear at the paw-prints she had left behind. They thought the paw-prints were maybe some kind of bears or cougars. But they were wrong as usual.

The huge cat skidded around the corner, speeding past humans that screamed and stumbled backwards at the sight of her. She was about the size of a Tiger, but a little bit bigger. It was easy for humans to think she was dangerous. Even though she has no intention on hurting them whatsoever. Her icy eyes grew angered as she saw a man on the ground, lying in his own pool of blood. She stopped by his dead body and sniffed it. She scrunched up her nose in disgust as the smell of death wafted into her nose. She padded away from the corpse, and followed the attackers scent. It was obvious the attacker who had murdered that man was in a hurry. Since it's footsteps were scrambled all over the snow.

Once again, the huge cat took off after the man. She sniffed the air again, and than took a sharp turn down a dark alleyway. He was here, behind the dumpster. She ignored the odor of garbage and bared her long fangs angrily. She let out a loud roar that echoed around the town, making people stop in the tracks. A can was knocked over, and Carla spotted a foot that quickly retreated back behind the dumpster. She growled, taking slow steps towards the sound. When she spotted the man, she leaped and pinned him down with two large paws on his shoulders. He gasped in fear and tried to squirm, but failed. Her pure white fur bristled angrily as she growled at him, staring him down.

"You should be ashamed of yourself." She snapped, raising a paw and slashing her deadly claws across his face. Four lines of scratches appeared where her claws had hit his skin. He howled in pain, and managed to get away from her. But that was only because she had let him. He had learned his lesson. She could see it in his eyes when she scratched him.

She raised the paw she had scratched him with, and stared at the bloody tips of her claws. She shook her head, setting her paw back down and looking down the alleyway. She heard another noise, and a deep growl formed in her throat.

"Who's there?" She demanded in a fierce voice, the fur on her back bristling again.

(BTW She's in the same alleyway as your charrie Sprinkles:P)

Alexiana and Evan sat in the trees quietly, shivering slightly from the sudden snow. Hearing a rustle in the bushes below, Evan swung down, flipping back up holding a dead sparrow in his hand. "Nice catch, chibiko." Alexiana said to her little brother. He nodded in acknowledgement and handed the bird to her. As soon as she touched it, it was engulfed in flames for an instant, then disappeared, leaving a perfectly roasted bird. Splitting it evenly, they ate in silence.

( :D oh and my Charie is under he building Waltz is on....) Hazel backed against the wall, into the shadows.. "I'm.. I'm like you.. Please don't hurt me." She whispered, her red eyes glowing somewhat in the darkness. Hazel stared at the body, then moved out of the shadows to face the animal. "I'm guessing your a shifter of some sort?" She whispered. "I'm.. I'm an Aswang." She said quietly, looking Into the animals eyes. She looked quickly up at the roof. "I know your up there." She said. She knew someone was up there, she saw them watching when she was talking to the demon. Saw it out of the corner of her eye, but itcouldn't be a human. They would have ran off and told the police by now, and why would one of them be on a roof?

The large white feline squinted her gaze suspiciously, but than realized that what the girl was saying was true. She was an Aswang. Carla could see it in her eyes.

"Yes. I'm a shifter of the Snow Panther." A flash of emotion flooded her icy gaze, and she looked down at her paws.

"The last one." She said it so quietly that it was almost a whisper. She looked towards the girl, and lashed her long white tail. The person that was spying on them was definitely not human, and was no threat. She knew all that just by taking one breath of air. She had a very impressive nose, and it was easy for her to pick out a particular scent

The large feline took a few steps towards the girl, turning her icy gaze towards her.

"What are you doing back here anyways?" She asked, perking her white ears and continuing to walk towards her. She didn't want the girl to feel alarmed that there was a Snow Panther creeping towards her right now. Most people, and creatures were usually afraid of her presence. And it wasn't surprising to Carla. One look at her, and it was easy to think she was dangerous.

Hazel stepped back a few paces, leaning more into the shadows. She don't think the shifter would hurt her, but everyone had fears;not just humans. She was more comfortable in the darkness anyways, it being where she usually was. "I'm just.... Hiding you could say.." She said quietly as a man talking in a phone walked by. She pulled her hood tighter around her face. She looked up at the roof then down at the shifter again. "I am Hazel by the way." She added with a half Smile in her face.

(Sorry it's so short )

The large feline stopped walking towards her and sat down, wrapping her white tail around her.

"I'm Carla." She said, flicking her ears slightly when she looked back up at the roof. She unsheathed her long black claws and began growling. Whoever was standing on the roof, was beginning to annoy her. Why didn't they just come down? Hazel and her already knew that person was here.

She shook the thoughts away, deciding to ignore the fact that someone was watching them both. She shifted back into her human form, and she flicked her pink hair behind her shoulders.

"Sorry about the weather.. I didn't mean to make it so snowy." She said, seeing that she had pulled the hood tighter around her face. But she didn't know that it was because Hazel was hiding, not because it was cold.

((Eh heh.. Sorry for the late reply, I was sleeping. >///<))

Waltz panicked as the Aswang addressed him. He had continued following her along the rooftop as she left the demon's company. He hadn't seen many Aswangs before, but plenty of demons, and so he had decided to follow the girl instead. He was glad that he had, too, as a new creature had appeared - one that he had never seen before. Content to just watch the two speak, Waltz was shocked and nearly scared when he was noticed. 'Shit. What do I do?' he wondered, his heart racing and pounding against his chest. Eventually, after the girls had introduced themselves, Waltz decided that he would join the party, so to speak.

Jumping down from his spot on the roof, he immediately flattened himself against the wall opposite of the Aswang and as far away from the Snow Panther as he could get while remaining in the shadows. His heart continued its rapid beating, and Waltz found it was hard to pull up his typical facade. He was usually better at hiding, and hadn't - until now - been called out before. The situation at hand had him completely shaken and disoriented. "Waltz. My name is Waltz," he mumbled, hiding as much of his face as he could behind his long bangs. "I'm sorry...for spying."

Natalia moved swiftly towards a pub not too far from where she was. She had contacts there that always gave her good information on the whereabouts of Warlocks and such. She required that information and they would give it to her in exchange for her special poison brews. No one in this place was a saint, and neither was she.

Handing a bottle to the pub owner, he smirked. He had a scruffy and filthy face, but no one really knew that this man was an assassin. Shady? Maybe.

"I heard that there was a Warlock who's staying at a hotel about five miles from here. He reserved a room yesterday. From my sources." He said gruffly, taking the bottle and storing it underneath the cabinets.

Natalia stared at the man for a moment with a hand resting underneath her chin, a bored expression plaguing her features. Or so it looked. Natalia was good at reading people, she wanted to make sure this man was telling the truth.

"And how reliable is this source of yours, exactly?" She asked.

The man smirked. "Don't believe me?"

Natalia took her drink and downed it in one gulp. "It doesn't matter really. I'll find out in the end if you're lying to me." She got up off her chair and moved casually to the door. She opened it and felt the cool breeze brush against her face.

"And I believe you'll know what comes next." With that she walked out, leaving the heavy wooden door behind her shut with a click.

Logan moved away from the alleyway and was moving further into the town, his line of work done for the moment. When he reached the end of an alleyway he saw two girls standing in the middle of the snow. One had red eyes and the other one had pink hair. He recognized immediately that the one girl was an Aswang, so he figured the other girl was "special" too. He leaned against a wall and decided to watch. After all, he didn't have much else better to do until somebody died. A thankless job really, but someone had to do it.

Belial looked up at his dear Helena and noticed her sleeping. He smiled and stood from his bed placing his book in a small book bag on his back. He walked out of the warehouse and walked slowly and steady down the alleyway. He breathed out a bit nervously; This had been the second time in 19 years he had gone out on his own. He walked out into the street, his white hair swishing with the wind, he ran his fingers through it and walked steady. From the corner of his eyes he could of swore he saw something on the roof. He paused, but it was gone when he looked. “W-what.” he bit his lip and shook his head continuing to walk.

Maybe it was my imagination” he said out loud softly, his voice was deep and smooth melting almost into the air as he spoke. His green eyes studied the city. He had never gotten a chance due to Helena always rushing to get her fill on humans and moving on back to the warehouse. He knew he could get in trouble but he didn’t care. He wanted to be in the open, he was tired of being cooped up in that warehouse.

As he walked a young woman went passed him, she stared into his eyes and gave him a sweet smile, “
Hey..” she said softly. He paused and swallowed hard. Was she talking to him? Really? He thought. She touched his shoulder, and at that moment he realized he had glamoured her. He sighed and moved away softly, looking down.

Goodnight, Ma’am..” he said in a sad tone and ran off, she was left standing there, shaking her head confused about what had just happened.

Belial had no control of his powers yet, he didn’t know what to do he became frustrated and looked at his feet as he walked.
No one will ever love me for me, I can’t be with anyone without hipnotising them first. I mean look at me… I’m a monster. He whipped his face and sighed, placing his hands in his pockets continuing his walk around the city.

Hazel smiled at the girl when she apologized. "It's fine... I actually love the snow." She said, letting a small flake fall on her hand. As she was about to say somthing else the thing on the roof jumped down into the shadows. Hazel, surprised, jumped back a bit. Once she realized it was the thing on the roof she sighed with relief, happy it wasn't somthing else, although no one said he was a nice guy. Hazel looked deeper into the shadow, trying to make out who, and what, he was. Her eyes were adjusted to the darkness, but all she could really make out was that he was a boy. As she got a better veiw, it was definatly a boy, andd he was hiding his face a bit. As he apologized she laughed a quick, soft half laugh. "It's fine.. Everyone is curious at times, hmm?" She said with a slight smile. "Very nice to see more of our kind for a change.." She said softly, obviously talking about the non-humans in the world, not just one species. "So where do you all come from, if you don't mind me asking." She stated, then turned and locked eyes with the boy as best as she could. "What kind are you anyways? Please excuse the rudeness in my voice, i do not mean to come out like that." She said, trying to put it as nicely as possible. She was never rude, but asking a question like that was a bit hard.

Lucas ran. He ran farther down the streets as the noise of sirens chased him down the sidewalk. Pedestrians stared, some even ran off, realizing what was taking place. It happened often, especially to Lucas, although he didn't know why. He was gargoyle for gods sake, he should be them for a change. He shook the thought out of his clouded mind. He knew he wouldn't do that, he knew he couldn't be That aggresive. He turned his head slightly to see a group of vehicles gaining on him. As he continued to sprint in attempt to shake them, he ran into another man on the street. The man was walking away from a woman, hands in his pocket. Kill him if you have to, Lucas... Now, just get away He said. Lucas grabbed the man by his shirt and dove into an alleyway, sitting behind a large dumpster. A metalic door was on the other side of them, giving Lucas the feeling it was maybe an eatery. He pushed himself and the other man agaist the wall, holding his breath as the Police zoomed by. He sighed and looked at the man. "Who are you..?" He said, still unsure if he was human or not.

He was suddenly pushed up into an alleyway against the wall. The man spoke to him asking him who he was. Belial’s green eyes took in his facial features, before meeting his eyes the quickly looking down trying not to hipnotize him. He didn;'t exactly know how to control it. He just wanted friends.. He didn’t want to push him or grab him, he didn’t know how to control his strength just yet, and if this where to become a friendship he didn’t want to ruin it. Even though the kid didn't seem friendly just pushing him against the wall.

B-Belial..” he said softly, pushing his head back against the concrete, the concrete braking at the slightest touch of his head against it. In fact, the whole wall behind him had sunk in when the kid pushed him against it. “Who are you?” he asked, slightly pushing him away as softly as he could but still managing to almost cause the boy to fall back as if he had push.

I-im sorry.. i..” he paused and covered his mouth. then dropped his hand. “were you running from the police?” he furrowed his brows trying to make sense of things. He remembered when he was younger him and Helena would get chased off by police. Helena was less violent back then.
