Neo Fontaine City
NvJG1ki.jpg

Neo Fontaine, the city of dream, beautiful isn't it, and so peaceful on the street. But before there is peace, there was war and in Neo Fontaine there is no difference. Before the peaceful and prosperous time of the underworld, there was a war too, one that has changed the structure of all the crime syndicate in this city. It started when a Yamazaki made man was killed in an incident that somehow happened in Libero's territory for an unknown reason. What happened was a total bloodbath, retaliations and counter attack from both sides. The war last almost 9 years until a man named Francesco "Frankie" Libero took over and ended. He brought peace back to the underworld by being the new Don of the Libero family. After then was a time for prosper of the Libero family by Don Frankie's hand. He turned the family from one that just got out of a war, expanded it and turned it into the most powerful family in Neo Fontaine. He treated people fairly and made sure everyone got what they deserve in the end. Don Frankie kept the peace not just inside the family but between the other 4, resolved conflicts with the other family whenever there were. He was well respected and feared by his city and under his regime, everything fell into places.

But things weren't meant to be last forever, neither peace nor any man. 2071, Don Frankie were diagnosed with a lethal disease. Everyone already thought his time has come since he was also too sick to take care of his family anymore. With the Don in hospital bed, the Libero family now is under a new kind of problem. The underboss Anthony Gattuso, also know at Tony Gat is now de facto boss of the family despite his young age and there are still a few people in doubt with his leadership ability. On the other hand, all the other 4 families starts to look into this family at its weak moment.

With the new days has come, how will the Libero family take it. Will they still maintain the most powerful family in Neo Fontaine or their time has come to an end... Only the members of this family can tell.

"- Just a glass of gin, Freddie. I'll be sitting over there."

Tony said to the robot bartender before he found his booth and sat inside, not so long ago a robot waiter brought the drink up to him. One hand held his drink up to his lip while another on his forehead, rubbing it trying to ease down his stress. Being a boss wasn't as he think, in fact it wasn't easy at all. It's been 3 months since Tony Gattuso sat on the big chair and the longer he's on it the more he understood his former boss. No wonder the old man turned sick, the job itself was like lifting the sun on the back. On one side a boss has to keep everyone of his family in line, another is to maintain respect from the other four families. Tony doesn't know if he could keep up like the old man did, or he would wind up lying on his own blood, or behind a cell bar after a member of his family testify to the court. Thinking about it made him feel even worse.

He had a few meeting today, one of them wasn't important business-wise, it wasn't a meeting with anyone from the family or other family, but to him its the most important to day. It was someone close to the family, a health advisor and a friend, but she wasn't a member.

Rita's Bar was one of the most favorite bar and restaurant in Bolton, Neo Fontain. It frequented by many mafia figure, mostly from the Libero's family. The name come from Rita herself, a mistress of the boss, she had passed away long time ago but this place was still here serving the family. Unless you're lucky enough to see the manager, mostly you'll be greeted and served by robots servant, the bartender was a robot whom the regulars gave a friendly name "Freddie".

"- Miss Vovk. Mister Gattuso is waiting for you in booth number one"

Freddie welcomed Anna Volk, the family associate and doctor with a robotic, programmed voiced. As she arrived, Tony's already there with his drink and a cigar on his fingers.

"- Based on our arrangement, you shouldn't have let me waiting for you that long..."

The acting boss of the Libero said, he wasn't completely serious to scold her. It's easy to say that he's annoyed was something else, he seemed tired, sorrowful.

"- Take a seat, you want something ?"

As he said, another robot arrived to the table ready for order.

Walking down a crowded side-walk, Anna looked up at the sea of neon lights around her; how the various advertisements displayed on huge electronic billboards would change the hue of the streets below as the colour of the images changed. Shielding her eyes with one hand as yet another Michael Bay Jr.'s Action flick blew it's way onto the billboard, the resulting special effect explosion turning the street to almost daylight. Anna rolled her eyes a little at expense the rich will go these days to pry more money from hapless fools. Gradually making her way up a set of faux marble stairs; she glanced over the road at a giant clock which displayed the time in several different countries around the world. Squinting her eyes as she tried to find the one she was looking for; Anna sucked her teeth as she realized that the detour she took to avoid the more dangerous parts of the city had caused to be late.

"Blyat.."

Quickening her pace, Anna ducked and weaved her way through the crowds as she eventually managed to get to Rita's bar; although a little worse for wears. Upon entering, she stopped at a mirror just inside the doorway and unfluffed her hair as it had been thrown around as she dashed. Sighing and straighting out her skirt; Anna turned her attention towards the robot that apporached her. She gave it a half-cocked smile as it mentioned Mister Gattuso was 'waiting for her'. Resisting the urge to give the machine a lecture on how difficult it is to move around these days without some lonely bum trying his luck on her, or her purse; Anna simply nodded and muttered in reply.

"Please, lead the way."

As Eddie escorted her towards the booth; Anna finally caught sight of Gattuso and gave him a typical fake smile as she wasn't in the greatest of moods after traversing through the city at such short notice. Bowing her head slightly as she took a seat across from him, Anna blinked as Gattuso commented on her being late to the meeting between them. Pausing to run her tongue across her lips; Anna tilted her head to one side before politely replying.

"My apologises, it's not like me to be late; I've been having some trouble with former.. clients.. but that's another story... for another time."

Giving him a weak attempt of a friendly smile; Anna then turned to face the other arriving robot and pondered for a moment on Gattuso's question of what she wanted to drink. Looking back and glancing at his own drink, she eventually made up her mind and eyed the servant as she spoke.

"I'll have a Gorki, with a side of olive please."

As the machine nodded and ventured off on it's adventure to the bar; Anna turned her attention back towards the Family Boss across from her. Turning her neck to one side as through she had hurt it on her rush to the bar; she ran her hand across the back of it to rub the sore area better. Considering what they were likely to discuss, Anna prepared herself for the upcoming consultation as she had been doing for the past year now.

"So, Mister Gattuso; I have to admit.. i'm rather enjoying the change of scenery... it's not often I get invited to such nice places.. by such nice men."

Giving him a slight smirk and a wink, Anna's face turned to even more joy as her drink and small platter of olives arrived. As they were placed upon the booth's table, she rubbed her hands togther slightly before quickly scooping up the Gorki and brought it up to her nose to embrace the sweet, spicy aromas emitting from the orange coloured concoction. Taking a small sip and leaning back into the booth's seat; Anna was brought back to her early adult years when such fine drinks were much more a luxury than a fun pastime. Deciding it would be best to refocus on her client, Anna brought the drink back down and picked up a cocktail stick to skewer a olive before holding it in front of her.

"Now then, to buisness I presume?"

Bringing the olive towards her mouth, Anna made a playfull tease and slowly inserted it into her mouth before giving up on the charade and rolled it into one side of her mouth where she then chewed away on it before swallowing. Placing the cocktail stick down, Anna then crossed her hands on the table and waited patiently for Gattuso to explain the situation.

"So, Mister Gattuso; I have to admit.. i'm rather enjoying the change of scenery... it's not often I get invited to such nice places.. by such nice men."

- Oh now you want to get involved do you ? - He gave her a joyful smirk - Well if you like it so much here, come here more often, bring your friends, I'll make sure our friend over there will take good care of you.

The boss said, steering his eye to Freddie the bartender. This place had been more than just a bar to his family from long ago. Its likely to belong to the family ever since the last boss bought it. For now its run by a close business partner of the family.

"- Take it easy, if I get you here, its a chat, not really a business meeting, you don't have to be so formal."

Tony let out a light smirk, Anna being so careful in every words was something he could find somewhat humorous. He wondered if she had always been so jumpy, but then she refused when an offer was made to bring her closer into the family. But then again, he couldn't blame her for that, its more of a commitment, she would give as much as she would earn from the family.

"- Okay so here it is." - Tony said before he put on the table a number of files and other paper form - "- This is the old man medical files, from the hospital."

He was talking about his uncle, the rightly Don Libero of the family. After a few years leading the family, the old man was diagnosed with a very brain diseases and had to step down from the high position, left it for his nephew. Even though its an honor, its not how Tony hoped for. Firstly the well-being of his uncle, the man who had been more like a father to him, was being harmed. Then he took the command from his uncle without without much words from him, and not all captains in the family supported the idea. It wasn't his choice, he partly thought that he could still learn from his uncle, and he wasn't sure that he would be ready. He wasn't just afraid that he wouldn't be ready, he also feared the idea of telling the whole family that their Don wouldn't come back to them... the idea was sad and the same time frightening.

"- Now before I say anything. My guys don't know that I'm here, nobody does actually. And I haven't told them about the boss condition exactly, because ...well, what the fuck do I know about health ? So you don't have to worry if you get involved in the family business, I just need opinion from somebody."

He stopped for while to took a sip at his drink.

"- These fucking doctors, they said the old man have a brain disorder something, I don't know. I know its a fatal brain diseases, but come on, I saw him everyday and he looks damn fine. He still has a lots of hair on his head. And the other day, when I held his hand, I could feel that he did the same thing... weakly but I could feel it."

The more he described the old man condition, the more you realized how anger and hopeless he was about it. It wasn't just about being boss, he loved his uncle very much. The man was like a father to him, taught him to live, to earn and to lead, more than anybody in the world. He couldn't bare the thought that the old man wouldn't wake up. He was a proud, tough man before he went to that coma.

"- Now you're a doctor Ann, you read these files and you tell me truthfully. How much chance does he have ?"

After the meeting with Anna Volk, there was another important meeting for Tony that night, It was with the 3 members of Derek's crew. Why he wanted to meet them privately without both Derek or Valentino knowing wasn't mentioned. But it was the boss's call, they didn't have much of a choice but to show up.

"- Laureano, remember our appointment, and call your whole crew ?"

Put away his phone, Tony brought the class to his lips, tried to enjoy that drink, but he couldn't. He couldn't help but thinking about what he and Anna talked about.

"Grande chefe!" A heavily accented voice called out from the front door. A large stature filling the doorway. Sam made his way inside, seeing the NEW big man himself. Not as much a fan of the successor to the Don he got to know, but he gave the young man the benefit of the doubt. As long as the job paid well, and there was plenty, the two of them would be fine and dandy.

"Always the bar, eh? Drinking kills you know." He let out a small laugh at the irony of him telling him to stop what kills. Sam took his seat across Tony, propping down his sheath against the table. When the order came, he just wanted a cup of what ever gives electrolytes; good for his mods.

"You know, ever since you took up being the boss, I've been seen alot less action out there. All this paint and no canvas makes for a bored artist. But I assume you didn't call me here to talk art with a hit man." He sat back, getting himself comfy.

"I trust you chefe , so I'll also trust you to put my expertise to the test." Sam was yearning to get back to the daily routine of waking traitors, and dealing with small operations that inconvenienced the Libero's.

Jacob, or "Tango", as he was known, stalked in behind Samuel silently the two of them made their way into the room, Tango making a sharp left the moment he made it into the room, putting some distance between him and the so-called samurai.
Tango didn't really find working with this...Samuel, to be particularly...ideal... but he worked with worse, and Samuel was at least...competent, enough not to get himself killed...so far...and that made him somewhat tolerable.
Tango made his way over to the bar, but he didn't pour himself a drink. Instead, he turned around and leaned back against the bar table, then crossed his arms, watching both Samuel and his new boss talking.
The death of the Don was...tragic...just tragic...
But truth was, Tango could careless.
Long as there was a job that involved putting rounds into the skulls of someone's head, Tango really could careless who was handing them out.
"I trust you chefe , so I'll also trust you to put my expertise to the test."
Was the only thing that Tango heard out of his excessive babbling, and for once, he could somewhat agree.
"You heard him, boss..." Tango snorted, as he looked over at the new boss. "...You got a job for us or what?"

Glancing around as Gattuso spoke, Anna's attention was more focused on the bar around them; it had that homey vibe to it and she sure felt it. Looking back as she went for another sip of her drink, she chuckled slightly as he mentioned bringing friends over.

"Respectfully, Mr Gattuso; I don't really care for friendships; in my line of work, you learn to distance yourself from clients... not everyone survives surgery you know.."

Giving him a short stares as she held her lips to the circular glass, tipping her head back and downing the rest of drink; Anna's thoughts then turned to why she was even here in the first place. Seems her questioning was answered as Gattuso slid over the medical documents; placing her empty glass on the table and smoothly running her hand across until it rested on top of the files, Anna slowly pulled them across as she listened to Gattuso mentioning that no-one knew he was here.

"I appreciate you going out of your way to keep my.. identity concealed, however I cannot help but think that with your Uncle handing things down to you..."

She paused as Anna started looking through the documents, running her finger alongwith the words; mumbling slightly as she struggled with the awful handwriting. From what she could tell; it wouldn't be good so Anna fumbled with her words for a few moments before looking back at Gattuso and continuing.

"Put simply Mr. Gattuso; and i'm sure you already know this, you are quite the prime target. Word is already out in the streets that you've suddenly got vastly more pull in the family... the rumours are rather vague though.. so I wouldn't act on it.."

She gestured towards the main door, speaking bluntly and with full honesty.

"Truefully put, I wouldn't be surprised to see several hitmen waiting across the other side of the road; with this being such a popular place for you... you must realize that everywhere you walk with always have someone watching; waiting...and not necessarily with good intentions"

Anna blinked as she realized that she may have gone too far and decided to refocus on the documents in her hands; as she listened to him talk about his uncle's health, Anna sighed a little as she ran her fingers over a scan photo of the Don's brain activity. Fair to say it wasn't good and her face changed as she too realized it. Placing the documents by her side on the booth, Anna picked up another olive and fumbled with it as she once more considered her words.

"In regards to your uncle Mr Gattuso; it's yet another case of old age and Neuro-degeneration. My guess would either be stroke related due to extreme stress or prehaps worse, some mutated form of parkinson's that has induced him into a coma-state. Either way, survival chances for such things are.. what we would call a 'grey zone'... put simply, it's up to himself to see if he will regain consciousness but it is highly unlikely he will recover from this fully... Your uncle will require full time care as his cognitive abilities will be greatly diminished.. that is if he even survives.."

Anna looked on and waited for Gattuso to take it all in, she understood that his uncle meant alot to him; however that wouldn't prevent her from laying out the facts as she saw it. Taking a moment, Anna reached into a small purse she was carrying and took out a E-cigarette before placing it into her mouth. Clicking a small greyish button on the underside, She took a long drag of the thin paper looking cylinder that would over-wise look like the real thing if it didn't have a neon blue light fixture where the embers would usually be. Sighing a little and turning her head to look out the window, Anna pondered for a few moments before speaking once more; her eyes unmoving from watching the crowds walk by.

"Your health concerns me more Mr. Gattuso, I would suggest stepping up your security detail.. as well as having men check out places before you arrive.. With Neo Font being the shit-show that it is.. it won't be long before the next moron will try his luck with a drive-by or something.."

Tora was not one to play dress-up for very many people. However, when you have a meeting with the boss... you best damn well f*cken dress up. Despite having little loyalty to most people she felt a strong sense of duty to the Libero family. Afterall, they made her what she is today and she'd likely be on the streets otherwise - scavenging parts still. Her thoughts were scattered to the winds as she walked down the narrow sidewalk towards the Boss' favorite bar; in-fact Angela avoided this bar for that reason. She didn't want to suffocate the boss in his free time by accidentally being here on the same night he was. If anyone knew the stress of the Don it was him.

It was night time and the road on the bar's street was unfamiliar, quiet, too quiet for Neo-Fontaine, and too quiet for Angela's personalty. She hummed to herself watching even the smallest movements from the corner of her eyes, every dark alley-way was an anxiety attack waiting to happen. Soon though - her fears and doubts were put to rest once the warm glow from the Bar's lights flushed from the doorway out onto the sidewalk; a service-bot awaiting any new customers.

"Are you grabbing a drink madam?" the service-bot chimed with a pleasant yet quite obvious synthetic voice.

"Absolutely, you're quite the gentleman." Angela replied causing the service-bot to open the door for her with a formal gesture.

Angela walked into the bar - there was classical jazz playing from an Era Angela never cared about. The entire scenery was from something out of movie clips she caught glimpses of through windows as a scrap-picking-kid. She stepped inside feeling like a proper-lady. Another service-bot, who she assumed was Freddie, came to her aid.

"May I take your bag?" Freddie asked.

"No that's not necessary." She said to Freddie, half forgetting she was holding one in the first place.

"Please take a seat madam" Freddie suggested.

"No thank-you. I'm here to see 'the big gun' if you know what I mean" She gave Freddie a sly wink and watched as he nodded and rolled away on his one-wheel-of-a-leg towards a familiar Silhouette. She crossed her arms in-front of herself and awaited Mr.Gattuso to address her personally.

"I appreciate you going out of your way to keep my.. identity concealed, however I cannot help but think that with your Uncle handing things down to you..."

- Of course miss Volk, its as much important as keeping myself safe.

Tony replied briefly, it was something he didn't want to explain in so many words. It wasn't something so concerning that he came here alone, firstly, because this was still his turf. Second, somebody found out that he discussed the family with someone else outside of the family, they would be ready to make a move toward him, especially when there was a potential transition of leadership within the family coming up. It was a time when even a boss couldn't put complete trust in anybody.

He observed Anna's expressions as she read those medical files and he noticed right away as changed. He heard what she had to say about it, its partly why he came here today. She said the big man has a chance, which was something Tony agreed entirely, partly because he couldn't believe a man he admired so much could die like this, after he had survived it all. Took a second to enjoy the cigar on his hand, he spoke a bit of his mind.

- My uncle's tough, he ran this family, his own family back from when there was a war, and now nobody can mess with us. A man like that, he cant die like this, on his hospital bed like this... No he wont, if there is a person strong enough, its my uncle.

"Your health concerns me more Mr. Gattuso, I would suggest stepping up your security detail.. as well as having men check out places before you arrive.. With Neo Font being the shit-show that it is.. it won't be long before the next moron with try his luck with a drive-by or something.."

- Wait, did you just say you're concern about my well-being ? - He couldn't help it but giggle a little - Oh Anna, you're so sweet sometime, you just warm my heart.

The acting boss of the family knew her concern for him was something coming from her real thought, partly he appreciated it, but the same time he was annoyed and that's why the sarcastic toned. For someone outside of the family to worry for his well-being was a sight of a boss not being feared enough, not necessary by Anna herself but from everybody else, from the street. What's the point of being a boss when people doesn't fear you. It was somewhat insulting to him in that position.

- But let me tell you something, man in my position, there are no car crash, no hijack anymore. If there are an accident on the street and I happen to be part of it, I'm sure of you its somebody's plot, somebody I know, a really close friend of mine. Every wise guys in this country know who I am, hell they got me on the news sometime, so there isn't any kid dump enough to try a shot at me anymore. If what you say happen, it only from my friends... So I cant bring nobody here with me and you, but its because if anybody find out about us, somebody would likely to make a move... or maybe two.

Once again Tony thought of the old man, if it's him, nobody would've said something like this. He would've crushed them to pieces before somebody could open their mouths. The old man was really good at small details, and smoking out people that stop being loyal to him.

- But I know you're a smart girl and I appreciate your concern. You haven't been with us for so long, so unless it's about my blood pressure, leave it to doctor Tony, okay ?

At the end of it, he tried to comfort her a little. For someone outside the family, he tried not to be so harsh on Anna. He understood her concern, not bringing a body guard was a move to prevent any conflict with the family. It was a risk, but in his position, what wasn't.

What he said was also a little reminder. When it's come to violence she can come to him for help, as long as she stay with the family.

And little did she know that Tony also had already pulled some strings of his own to preserve his position, but that he couldn't go into detail.

Finally they're all here, like he asked for, the Federico's crew, of course without the main man Derek himself and Valentino. But that's how he wanted it, to talk with them this way without their captain knowing.

- Oh look, the Terminator and Michael Myers are coming to get me. - He giggled as he saw Samuel and Jacob both making their appearance - It's a bar, it's killing for you guys to put on a suit to see me ? We look like a bunch of serial killers here. And Jakey, I can't talk to you in person if you keep the mask on...

He turned to Samuel.

- You should find a hobby, you know. Not everyday I wake up and feel like I need to whack somebody.

Before they could keep up their friendly conversation, Tony noticed that the whole crew already arrived to the bar and to his booth.

- Okay, L told me that he's gonna be a little late and we should start without him... This issue I believe he knew already, he actually has been in the middle of it for weeks.

As they all sat down, Tony started to gather his thoughts.

- I heard that there is some tough situation in your crew. Some of you may already know. Tino and Derek are having a beef, and its a little messed up over there.

As he said, he turned his eyes for a few seconds over the crew members to check if any of them know about this. Patina and Amelia seem to be quite calm, they must have gotten some clues since they reported to Derek or Tino daily for business.

- Back there, when I got promoted, Tino thought that he's gonna get the leadership to this crew, but back then he's like 20 or 21. Don Frankie put Derek on the big seat on that crew and everybody respected that decision. To be honest, I do too, Derek is a role model, top earner and he has been taking good care of you guys. But Tino is also a good guy, he's a stand up guy, I grew up with the guy so I know. He wouldn't be pissed without a good reason, and sometime Derek makes things a little difficult for him too.

Tony rubbed his head. This problem had been on his mind for months, but both men were his key men and with his uncle in the hospital he didn't want to make any decision yet.

- Now what you can do is to ease the tension, and report to me about them. With the old man is in that hospital bed, I don't wanna make any difficult decision yet. You calm them down whenever they have another disagreement. Derek can be a little cagey sometime and Tino is wild, it's up to you guys to keep the peace if they think of going ballistic. And if you cant, you call me, directly.

With that order, they knew with this issue they could report to him directly and not through middle management, which was a sight of trust.

- My uncle, no..., the boss of this family, is having a very serious sickness. We're all worry about his well being. But he's strong, and he will return to us. For now this is the best we can do to keep this family in shape until he come back. So this is something you don't just do for me, but for your family, for your boss.

It sounded confident, what he said. But it was not entirely true, and there wasn't anybody else knew about it but Anna. For the moment they didn't need to know about any kind of potential power transition within the family, it would cause confusion. All the needed to know was that they still have a leader, and they followed his directions.

"Alright, alright-" Sam chuckled to ease Tony's stress, relieve some of the tension in the air. "I'll pick up a suit on my way back. Might be a bit awkward with the whole shoulder situation."

Sam listened in, making sure he knew all the in-and-outs of the job. He was a bit disappointed. Try to stop the violence? Diplomacy doesn't send the message violence does. But, being the boss, Samuel let it slide and obeyed. "Those two are like a married couple, just through a rough patch." His tone went more serious "But their problems are becoming ours too. Maybe having them in the same crew isn't the best idea. I'd recommend putting that into thought."

Samuel's drink came in, a fine glass of a crystalline blue liquid energy. He rose the glass to his lips "You're stressing camarada, maybe the tobacco is getting to your head." The liquid poured through his body as he took in a deep breath, feeling more awake and alive. "You're not the only one with a problem being worsened by the wrong solution, most of us here are in your shoes. Especially Tino and Derek." Samuel adjusted himself, leaning over to get closer and more personal with Tony. "A little birdy tells me that they're having issues with how to treat work. Tino wants to be clean cut, but Derek want's to paint the world red."

"But if I've learned anything from problems between men, is that there's something underneath the surface. I suggest getting one of your deep investigators to dig into it."

Angela followed directly behind and was the first to sit down, pulling her phone out to set her phone to vibrate and auto-message her clients that she was busy for the next hour-or-so. That allowed everyone some time to settle in and get talking about the inner workings of the situation. Mostly things she had already lightly heard. She had just about finished when she looked up to see the boss scanning for reactions. She subtly shrugged and finished up her messages before putting her phone away and catching what Samuel had to say. He was an interesting guy pretty decked out in what looked like a well-meaning attempt to make a functional exo-suit.

Angela subtly laughed at the LED's on the side of his face knowing there was no function to them other than to make him "look-cool". However her cynical sense of humor dropped out when she watched Samuel lean in and get serious. She felt her arm tingle. The prosthetic one - like an old ghost reminding her it wasn't there. She bit her lip and leaned in as well.

"A little bird told you huh, Sam?" She said with a bit of playful venom in her voice.

"Don't worry about sending an investigator in. I've got some plans in the works already, Mr.Gattuso." She leaned back, the heat of the semi-enclosed booth was getting to her. These men were like radiators putting out so much heat you could barely breath. She intertwined her fingers together and set them on the table.

Jacob hadn't said anything yet but it wasn't unexpected, afterall he had this look to him. Like he was just angry with everything all the time. The mask didn't help any either.

She looked back at Mr.Gattuso as the chatter went on.

"The situation does seem like it's something that could get very volatile very quickly. How much property, weapons, and men do each of them own alone? Democracy is a good option for these situations." She wiggled in her seat a bit - a plan working it's way into her head.

"Here's what I propose Mr.Gattuso..." She said, her eyes narrowing as she spoke.

"Tino's still a soldier right? I hear you two go way back and he's helped you out quite a bit. If what Samuel said is true... why not promote Tino to Captain and put him in charge of his own 'cleaning business' we'll call it. Or make him the Captain of your 'intelligence extraction'(torture department)? He get's to do what he's good at. You get him and Derek away from each other, and it's like two birds with one stone." She sat back sending a confident smirk towards Samuel.

Laureano Oubiña
Time: Night
Place: Rita's Bar - Bolton
Characters: Jacob Chu, Samuel Roderiguez, Angela Warhol, Amelia Burk, Tony Gattuso
Tag: Becker Becker

Laureano was not really the kinda guy that'd want to get his hands dirty roughing up people that needed a bit of roughing up, he'd usually get some bum somewhere to do it for him. But this time was out of the ordinary, he'd just started his loan shark gig someplace in downtown Grey Island and since he was now part of the Libero family he assumed no one would dare cross him. Well, one Idiot did, this genius took the money and left town apparently resurfacing in the main city, having spent most if not all of it on hookers and cocaine. He needed to be taken care of if Laureano didn't make an example of the man then his "venture" would definitely not see another penny. Problem was, he had this meeting with the boss, the same time that guy had been spotted, so Laureano told the boss man that he'd be running a bit late.

It wasn't hard to track the dude, it was a public nuisance call that led Laureano to the guy. His contacts in the police force certainly weren't letting him down. The dude had apparently peed in public, cursed at people and tried to beat a dog to deathdc. If only he knew what kinda drugs that guy was on Laureano would probably be a millionaire by now. Laureano could've probably talked the guy into doing anything he'd want, in the man's state. Still, the guy had stolen his money, a baseball bat on the back of the head was the least he deserved. The guy went out cold the minute the swing hit, Laureano was beginning to wonder if being a Mafioso was a bad idea, a swing like that could've gotten him into the major leagues. In a minute though, the swing lost all its glory, the swing was easy, the difficult part was getting the fat bastard to fit in the back of the car. Even Laureano didn't get exactly how he managed it.

The ride to Rita's bar wasn't special, besides the occasional squealing from the trunk. Laureano wasn't someone that took the sights of the places he happened to pass by, he found that doing so made him more often than not, unhappy.

By the time he'd gotten to the bar, he was pretty confident that the boss and the other guys would've left by now. To his surprise, they were still there, in the middle of something important he'd wager. So, when there was a slight lull in the conversation, he slid himself in with the group, a glass of tequila in hand.

"Sorry for the delay boss, important business, couldn't be brushed aside. I'm sure you understand."

He took a look around, just to get a whiff of the people there, he'd of course known them all some might even have dropped by his bar for a free drink but they were still hardly acquaintances, nothing more than faces he'd decided to give names to.

Amelia was usually busy for most of her life. She had a job after all, making and reparing guns. She had been called to Rita's Bar. She would go there a few tines to get a drink and obviously to meet up with a family. She knew it would probably be serious.

Sadly Amelia was stuck in traffic for a bit. She was able to finally arrive at the bar snd rushed in. She bought a quick drink of wine and came over to the area where the family was. She looked at all of the others but didn't say anything to them. As she sat down she listened to Tony speak. Amelia stayed calm and quiet until he stopped speaking.

"I respect the high up people in our family. But during times like these...they should really get there act together. I think a few of us would be able to make them act reasonable." Amelia said to Tony. "I can try to do it. Though I don't know if what I say would completely work." Amelia added. She woukd speak to everyone a bit later, but now she was focusing on the boss for a bit.

- Oh L, we're talking about the situation between Derek and Tino over there in your crew. - He greeted Laureano as the soldier made his way into the booth. Tony knew that Laureano noticed about it too, as the matter of fact he had been in the middle of it for weeks.

Anthony looked towards Samuel as he listened to what the hitman had to say about the issue, and whether it's the true or not. He did the same to anybody, what they had to say or didn't say could prove something. But in this case, it's quite unlikely that somebody on this table would lie to him.

- Your point is right, Sammy. I like this two, even when they have their differences, they has been loyal to my uncle for years. And I'm sure they will be so to be too. So maybe there is more than what it is.

Angela's opinion was something that crossed his mind several time, but for now it's just not right.

- There is currently no crew without a captain yet, there is no territory left, and I'm not looking to expand. Therefore there isn't anywhere else I can put him to, even if I want too. And like I said, the boss of this family is still my uncle, I won't promote anyone until that arrangement's changed or he tell me to do it.

But before Amelia could say something more, he cut in

- No Mel, I don't want to raise an issue just yet. Keep an eye on them, that's all. I have my reason. For now that's all of them, you all can go now, except Jacob and Samuel, meet me at the back.

After everyone left, Tony saw Jacob and Samuel privately, one at a time.

- Okay, as a matter of fact, I have a little assignment for you here.

As he said, Tony gave Samuel a picture. Samuel could see in the picture there were two males, asian, they're twin, one with short hair and the other had a dread lock hair style. They're both very muscular and tough, frightening to look at.

- These guys are enforcers but they're not from here. They prefer the old way, knife and machete, real brutal from what I heard, like to torture people before killing them. The dreadlock guy, I heard he ripped a guy cybernetic arms with just his bare strength, no modification.

Tony stopped for a while to enjoy his cigar before he continued

- That would've been fine to me, but I also heard that this twin is sent here to hurt some of our friends... one of them is a close friend. So can I trust you to deal with this ? They'll land in the city Airport tonight and probably order a cab to this address - Behind the picture there was an address - Do it your way, your art... send a clear message that nobody can hurt our friends.

- You know I only call you when I want something to be done in a specific way, Jacob. Eugene Silver, known by our friends as "Gene", remember him ?

As a member of the family, you knew who that was. Gene was a captain of the Libero family, he operated in Greenbrook, not a very popular member of the family but you've heard him.

- I want you to hear this, your ears only, that he has been unfaithful to us... He has been seeing an outsider, making deals with them without my approval. And worse, to my knowledge, he helped somebody trying to hurt us...

Anthony took a sip of his drink.

- But he's still my old man captain and he contributed to the family for a long time. I just want him to disappear, silently, no body left or anything. That's all, after that I'll deal with the rest of it. I know this is your expertise and I trust you with this.

After he assigned both with his orders, Tony took his coat and was ready to leave, but before he left Tony remembered something that Samuel and Jacob needed to understand.

- Samuel, Jacob! Derek doesn't need to know about this okay ? These are something you do for me, directly. So to Derek, you guys don't know who the hell do it, okay ?

It was the last thing he said before Tony left the bar.
