Hey there! I'm Q, and I'm looking for a long-term roleplay partner for specifically a Harry x Draco plot. I am a literate roleplayer with more than a decade of experience seeking another literate roleplayer (experience irrelevant) who is 18+ for my own comfort. While we can move off-site if you happen to have somewhere in mind, I'm posting with the intention of writing here.

As for more specifics concerning the setting and characters, I'm looking for a romantic Drarry roleplay! I prefer for this to be set in the same years as the canon timeline (meaning no modern roleplays, strictly late 90s to early 00s depending on their ages), though whether our characters are in England, Scotland, or somewhere else is entirely up for discussion!

I'll be writing as Draco Malfoy, and both he and Harry must be 18+. If we bring in relevant characters who would not be (for example, Scorpius, Albus Jr., Teddy, etc.) that's totally fine, but they obviously can't be part of any kind of intense romantic plot. Speaking of the storyline, I have a list of ideas to get us started, and if none of them appeal to you I'd be delighted to talk about others!

  • Veela!Draco and/or Werewolf!Harry (Harry's lineage being optional)
    • I'd love to explore the dynamics of living in the Wizarding World as a person with magical creature heritage. This could extend to one or both characters having recently discovered their lineage/been turned or having kept it a secret for the sake of saving face.
    • One or both of them could be working to further the rights and reputation of magical creatures within Wizarding society
    • If those societal dynamics don't appeal to you, this could easily be set in a place/time where magical creatures are in a much better place within Wizarding society, and this instead focuses purely on the dynamics of the two falling in love through the lens of their heritage

  • Single Dad!Draco and/or Harry
    • This could be set post-divorce for Harry and Ginny or post-death of Astoria Greengrass (or both), where they're raising any combination of their canonical children separately before getting together and creating a mixed family dynamic
      • I will not be playing this with any hint of infidelity on either side
    • The setting could also be less far into the future! With Tonks and Remus having passed, Teddy would be in Andromeda's care
      • Option 1: Andromeda passes, leaving Teddy either in the custody of his closest living relative (Draco) or his godfather (Harry)
      • Option 2: Same as above, but Andromeda is just not in the position to care for Teddy properly rather than passing
      • Option 3: Teddy remains in Andromeda's care and Harry finds himself visiting often so his godson grows up with as many positive influences as possible (having grown up without his own parents). Meanwhile, Draco is on a crusade to reconnect with some of his last remaining family following his mother's house arrest and his father's imprisonment

  • Eighth Year
    • Following the disaster of seventh year, students are invited back to get their NEWTs at Hogwarts. While some opt for individual study, Harry and Draco are among those who return
      • This could include a separate, eighth-year house (and associated dorms and common rooms, leading to interesting living situations)
    • Draco could be on a mission to make amends and get his reputation back (whether this means he is being shunned by his old friends or they're still a unit could be discussed)
    • Harry could be handling his involvement with the war a variety of ways: PTSD, depression, or an unrelenting motivation to move past it and make peace with people
    • The plot on this would be much more flexible and potentially even veer into slice-of-life, depending on the direction we choose to take it

  • Healer!Draco
    • Harry could be an auror who's been hurt in the field, and is now a long-term patient of Draco Malfoy-- they haven't spoken since school and now have to relearn each other's motives and personalities in order to make this situation work
      • Draco could be a full mediwizard who doesn't want to look unprofessional by picking fights with a patient or is looking to bolster it by being successful with a celebrity
        • He could also have moved past their rivalry entirely and is uninterested in rising to any of Harry's bait
      • Draco could be a healer-in-training not wanting to look bad in front of his superiors
        • This could potentially be the kind of case that could make his career, if he does well
    • Harry could be a quidditch player who was injured during a game and is now attempting to weasel out of consistent treatment so he can get back to playing
      • This would feature Draco having to hunt him down and force him to take his healing seriously to avoid complications down the line
        • Could include a potential unlikely friendship with Hermione, Ron, or Ginny
    • Harry could be ill and under Draco's care, as he's become a specialist in a niche field
      • This could be a matter of a complicated wizarding illness
      • Harry could be facing the consequences of having been a living Horcrux
    • There's also the option of Harry not being a patient at all, and instead someone close to him is injured/ill and Draco is their primary healer
      • One of Harry's friends could be the patient
      • Teddy or one of Harry's canonical children could be sick or hurt
    • Any of the above scenarios could also just include their encounter as St. Mungo's more of a meet-cute rather than an issue of long-term injury or illness, making this more lighthearted. After that, Harry could begin visiting Draco's ward in an attempt to catch him on break, and the ensuing gossip could be a fun plot point

These are, of course, just a few ideas! I'm happy to discuss any others, and I have quite a few others that are just less developed and would need some helping along. What you may have noticed while reading those is that I mentioned other characters! While Harry and Draco are intended to be the main characters, it would be pretty boring to only ever have them in a given scene. My ideal roleplay partner would be able and willing to bring in other characters when necessary! I don't want to do all the heavy lifting with other characters and worldbuilding. On that same train of thought, I'd like someone who can provide at least two paragraphs per response. I'm not too picky, as long as it's furthering the plot, but I do not tolerate one-liners.

So, that's what I've got! I hope this all meets the standards of the site, since this is my first post. Thank you for reading this far!
Harry Potter is owned by Warner Bros. and is the intellectual property of (notorious TERF) J.K. Rowling. I do not own any of the canonical characters or concepts.
