Here be dragons...and plots.....

Hello everyone! I typically enjoy historical and post-apocalyptic plots, often imbibed with supernatural elements. If any of my plots interest you, let me know! I'm only looking to set up one rp right now.

First some things about me =)

1. My activity varies, but at the very least I'll get a post per week in, but hopefully it should be more often than that.

2. My writing is not bad, but it's not great either. I'm always working on improving though =)

3. I typically stick with the pg-13 realm, unless something more graphic/mature fits well with what I'm doing with the rp. Cursing doesn't really offend me, but I don't do it myself.

4. I'm pretty shy, so if you want to talk to me outside of the rp, you'll probably have to prod me a little =)

Current Plots

Currently only two plots, both historical without any supernatural elements.

What We Want, We Do Not Know

The year is 1918. Two German officers return home after a long and bloody conflict. But when they return, their country is anything but what it was when they had last been. A new socialist government has been proclaimed, communists riot in the streets, and civil war threatens to tear down every ideal they once held dear.

They join the Freikorps, and battle the communists in the streets, the far reaches of Europe in the Baltic states, and other enemies that threaten Germany. They then turn their rage towards the new government, before finally being exiled from their homeland. Knowing only war, they go abroad and fight in conflicts not their own, in China, Bolivia, and Spain.

How will two men survive in a world where all their old ideals have been replaced, and the only skill they have is war?

For this idea, you don't need to know much about the era or it's conflicts, but be willing to learn =)

Wanderlust

In a fictional world, the year is 1905. A group of poor workers, inspired by tales of conquerors, journey out into the world as adventurers, visiting various locations around the world, and fighting in conflicts there.

This will be based on historical events, but there will be wiggle room to visit different places and conflicts that you desire, since it is in a fictional world. The time frame will likely go from 1905 to 1940.

Interest shown, that first idea seems like the most interesting of the two i'd say.

Cool =) If you have any questions or want to discuss the plot any, we can do that. Otherwise i'll make the rp thread if you decide to commit.

Well what is our actual starting point then, we starting upon returning to the newly created weimar germany?

Or do we start after we have joined the freikorps?

Aside from that im all cool with you setting up the thread.

I had planned to start right as they were marching across the border from France into Germany, so days after the armistice.

But I'll get the thread up some time today. In the mean time, a brief background idea I had for our characters, is that they were both young officers at the outbreak of World War I, and they pretty much went through the whole conflict together, developing a brother-like relationship, which will obviously last them throughout the rest of the rp. Other than that, feel free to decide what you want about your character's history.

Also, out of curiosity, how familiar are you with Inter-War history, particularly the Freikorps?

I've got a rough knowledge, know that they were involved in some conflicts on the polish-german border and that freikorps members went to russia to fight in the civil war.

And ofcourse most obviously that the NSDAP had a good amount of support from them.

I'll most likely want to do some additional reading up depending on where we go after we actually do join a freikorps.
