Futuristic Heaven is hell (futuristic with a touch of fantasy)

God_himself

World's Worst Necromancer
Not many people know our history nowadays, but too the few people who do, it has been know that the earliest of beliefs stated of an after life, that after life was said to be a place of wonder, and an after life was up in the sky, we're we could only dream of what is up there. In the gap between pieces of recorded history, the wish of these beliefs came true, and let me say it to all, wether you would call up here heaven, wether you would call it the sky, or whatever you think this place is, it's a hell up here.

The world our ancestors knew is gone, our world was once a sphere, with great oceans, mountains, and great masses of land. That's all gone, what the lucky few we all are got a series of islands, some big, some small. The catch is were up in the sky. You fall, well your dead. Small villages are common, cities are in the few. For the lonesome farmer a nice home near the lake sounds quite nice. It's not. Most of these islands are deprived of the most basic of resources.

The majority of the world's population stay in their little towns and live by their own little laws. But for the around 40% who don't, we know what suffering feels like. The rest of us are nomads flying from island to island, what we do is harvest the "remnants" or the chunks of scrap that float up from the void.

Not so long ago, we couldn't even fly around. But some time ago, a man named Zulu invented the "Angle" an Angel is the broad term for any suit with wings. Since Zulu's creation people were able to travel, able to explore, able to scavenge, and able to explore. What was found, was better left undiscovered.

What was found were beasts, in many shapes and sizes. Our first steps at flights awoken these beasts to the 'surface' where they now roam.

Now it is time to choose, will you stay in your little town or your cosy city? Or will you choose a life of risks, a life of rewards, a life of experience, but most of all a life of hell.

(If you read this far, good job. If you stop any mistakes or happen to have any questions please ask, I don't bite.)
