~~ HAVEN ~~

—PREMISE.

The year is 2077. While Cyberpunk's vision was never met with the technologies of daily life, poverty, war, and shortages have made the world dull and gray to everyday citizens. That is, except for the only oasis known as HAVEN. Created by Ori Pickwick and her later growing technology company, Pickwick Family Entertainment, HAVEN was a unique VR experience that started out on the Oculus, before Pickwick eventually bought out Oculus, Sony, Vive, and all other popular virtual reality platforms, absorbing them to create one of the most immersive headsets of the age. The only game? HAVEN. A game that co-owns nearly every company, product, and franchise IP from the last 100 years, and possibly beyond. While appearing as a simple RPG, players can appear as their favorite characters from any medium they choose, find magical items, fight bosses, start families, explore the realms of adventures, solve puzzles, cook unique recipes, and more! Nearly everyone has a Pickwick Headset, and more than half the common population of Earth plays HAVEN regularly.

That was twenty years ago. Three years ago, Ori Pickwick passed away in her sleep. Her three children attended her funeral, which had more viewers than almost any American presidential funeral. However, on that day, a message was released to all players: Ori had one last trick up her sleeve. She had released something into HAVEN, something she called her White Snake. It was not a virus, per se. It was a puzzle that, when found, would not only grant the player several extra levels in their equipment, persona, avatar, and all things digital, but they would have access to slices of code to the HAVEN itself, and possibly even areas they could customize in one of the most public games ever created.

Three years have passed. Not one person has found the first clue, puzzle, or tidbit that could lead to the White Snake. Some have completely given up. But the Snake awaits, deep within the recesses of pop culture and flashy UI.

Waiting for someone truly worthy to reign over the HAVEN without it's own leader left living.

—WHAT IS THIS?
As one could probably guess, this story is heavily inspired by the likes of Ready Player One and other stories about virtual reality playgrounds. It's also a genre known as 'kitchen-sink', where nearly everything and anything is possible, and the limit of content available in HAVEN is only limited by the player's imaginations. While I will have a lore page up with highlights of HAVEN, including a few features and locations, when creating a character, imagine a game where any and all copyright laws and trademarks are allowed. Create avatars that are mixes of favorite characters, make great usernames, have homes in fantasy villages or spaceships, it's all up to you.

While this is a creative sandbox of immense power, keep in mind that there is a plot. There will be set points where items and ideas have to be limited for the sake of story, which will still be just as engaging as most everything else. The pattern usually includes me, the narrator, explaining the scenario, enemies, allies, and the environment, and giving the players the reins. After significant postage, I come back and explain the aftermath of their actions, just like a game would.

If you've got any questions about this, feel free to ask!

Four people should be enough to get this started! I’ll cut it off here for now, but people can still say if they’re interested, in case anyone drops out or anything.
