Personality: Maya from all the trauma has more than one personality. All have one thing in common though and that's, that She would NEVER hurt anyone.

1. Dominant personality. Her dominant personality is her front what most people see, is very sweet to everyone she meets and does not see anyone as a threat even when someone clearly can be seen as one. Super bubbly and hyper. This Maya is pretty much a childish social butterfly gets excited easily, always positive. She is not bright at all when it comes to intelligence. Doesn't swear period.
   
   
2. Minor personality. This personality only appears when her dominate personality and True Self is broken threw like she was verbally attacked by someone, or she got really frightened by something severely. Signs before this personality appears she usually runs away to hide. When in this state she forgets almost everything before the age of 9. She basically becomes her younger self in her 14 year old body, and becomes very terrified and always feels like something is gonna get her.

3. True self - Then finally there is the real Maya she doesn't show as much as the other first. The real Maya is a very quiet soft spoken person. Who is kind hearted always willing to help those in need from any danger. She is timid but serious when needed. Gentle, patient, sensitive, doesn't speak up often. Calm. She will swear lightly on the occasion.​

Why are they at the group home?(backstory): Maya comes from a very very rough traumatic situation. Her parents were super heavy duty drug users and highkey hoarders, that were extremely violent towards, would spend hours just yelling at Maya and her siblings, doing very bad and highly questionable things to them. They weren't allowed to leave the house area unless they were dragged out by a parent, weren't able to go to school. Couldn't speak to others even if spoken too first, couldn't go into the kitchen.


They had very strict rules laced out by the older siblings on what to do in situations, when the parents were asleep try to steal food, if there was alcohol involved don't talk or say anything just quietly try to go to a different room and avoid conflict, stay outside period if their gross friends show up. Her youngest brother made the mistake of breaking that rule one too many times that their abusive ass of a dad took the kid and bashed him against something then left with him, they didn't see their brother again.


One time their parents had some special friends over so the kids remained in the back field that was considered a yard. A rather aggressive dog her dad used to chase off people got loose and attacked her slightly older sister the eldest two tried to get the dog off while Maya stayed with their younger sister who was now the youngest after the incident . The parents didn't bother coming out to see what the noise was. A distant neighbor was able to spot it but by the time they made it and got control of the dog her slightly older sister was dead. They worked together and buried her next to other siblings graves that she supposedly had before she was born, and by her little brother's grave. The neighbor then learned how bad the situation but wasn't able to help yet as after the burial is when the dad came out with a shotgun ushering the kids inside and the neighbor away.


It wasn't a good time for the kids that night. A week later the dad accidentally set the house ablaze with his meth lab after bailing with his wife. The neighbor who was keeping a closer eye on the situation managed to get help and rescue the kids. Cops were called and manage to chase down the parents arresting them, while her older two siblings that were left were taken in by their aunt. Maya and her younger sister were put up for adoption. Maya's mind basically broke after she was taken in by the first foster in which her little sister was adopted by.


She was so unstable constant breakdowns, nightmares, spurts of mood swings that she was quickly passed off to the next people. Until one day she seemed fine at least that's what people thought? Acting bubbly, playful ditzy, but one thing she started having delusions that her family were all normal and fine. It was later she was diagnosed with DID. Her mind literally went and created a new personality that shielded her from all the trauma making her think everything was okay truly. Eventually she came to the group home.

Her two eldest siblings that she knows of were taken in by her aunt who is really snobby and a perfectionist she took only those two. Her younger sister got adopted 5 years ago. Her slightly older sister was murdered, and so was her five year old brother. So three adopted, two known to be dead, the other 3 remain unknown.


Have they been in contact of any family member since coming to the home?: No the last she saw any of them was her little sister who wasn't as destroyed mentally as she was.

Personality: Fabian likes to be with his friends, have fun and hang out with people but he isn't exactly a social butterfly, he is more likely to be found somewhere following his hobbies then out there looking to make new friends. He has different moods and his behavior can change but mostly he is just a typical teenager.

He often helps around the house either to distract himself when his friends have no time or to make himself feel useful, of course he pretends he doesn't like it by bitching about it. While he is rather level headed most of the time he gets extremely angry when people ask if he took his meds and can even become aggressive. His friends mean a lot to him so he can be very protective of people close to him.

Why are they at the group home?(backstory): Fabian comes from a dysfunctional family. His mother was extremely bipolar and while she loved Fabian and his older brother she often ended up hurting them with her behavior (not physically, but emotionally) and his father was a drunk and drug user. He was never abused by his parents, not in a direct or intentional way but with a father that was usually too drunk to take care of himself let alone the children and a mother that was unpredictable his childhood wasn't easy so his older brother had to take care of him most of the time, well until Fabian was six and his older brother ran away from home. It crushed him and he developed abandonment issues.

When he was fourteen he was taken away from his parents after his father set their trailer on fire and robbed a cash and grab to get booze and money for drugs. His mother had been in a very bad state and was unfit to take care of him so he was put into foster care. He was passed from one place to another untill he finally got to the group home.

Where are they from? All over (before he was taken away he and his parents constantly moved around) but he was born in Brooklyn.

He's caring but it has a limit if his patience is run thin he'll become argumentative and snippy. He's passionate about his hobbies and will happily talk to you about them. Austyn is a perfectionist he would argue that he is simply hard working and focused on success. If something doesn't work out exactly how he wants he will often get frustrated. He isn't very outgoing socially but enjoys spending time with those who are close to him.
While Austyn can be kind of hot-headed he is very trustworthy. He is someone you can talk to and know that he won't let it slip. He is rather calm when there isn't some sort of underlying stress. He is very responsible and thinks others should be too.

Why are they at the group home?(backstory): Austyn's mother was only eighteen when she had him unprepared and only supported by his father, his mother tried her best. She was caring and cheerful even when things were rough. While his father wasn't as cheerful as his mother he wasn't a bad one. He would play and laugh with Austyn for hours even after he spent the whole day working.
The first five years of his life was not perfect, but he was loved and that's all that matters. Quickly that had changed, his mother was sick and his father stressed more than ever. With his stress came anger. A knocked over cup could mean hours of reprimand, but still, he had his mother who remained cheerful. When his mother died his life before was a distant memory. All the happiness was gone. Austyn's father quickly found comfort in the bottle. He used to think that his father overreacted before but now even breathing could trigger his dad's rage. He suffered two years until the neighbors called CPS.

She can be kinda bratty and annoying at times since she seems to be unable to shut up. She'll always try to cheer you up even if it seems impossible.
That being said Breeanna is really afraid of losing the people around her so she can be clingy and often panics if people are gone for long amounts of time.

Why are they at the group home?(backstory): Breeanna was an accident and so was her older sister Casey. Her parents simply didn't want them but weren't responsible enough to take precautions not to have them. Because of this, their grandmother took care of them. Granny was everything you could want as a grandma; sweet, caring, and loved to spoil you rotten. Growing up Breeanna had practically everything she wanted material wise, but she always longed for her parents to acknowledge. From missed birthdays to unanswered calls her parents where simply uncaring.
It didn't take long for her to understand that her flaky parents were never going to change much to her dismay. She spent months crying and every time Granny would be there to comfort her. Breeanna soon learned that she didn't need her parents and that Granny was all that she needed. Her life was one filled with happiness and so many baked goods. That was until her grandmother had a stroke and was unable to take care of her and Casey anymore. When notified her parents simply shrugged them off as someone else problem. The first few months were hard in foster care. Going from having everything to practically nothing was a shock for Breeanna.

Background:
He grew up in a pretty rough neighborhood. The second of four siblings, he always looked up to his older sister. When she made the move to go to college, he sort of took her spot as head of the house, taking care of the younger two as well as his mom and stepdad, who worked a lot. At eighteen, he left home for college and then ended up doing extra school to become the man he is today.

Why are they at the group home(backstory): Naila is at the group home because her mother is a drug addict who has left her at home too many times and hasn't been having Naila go to school due to her own needs needing met. She's lived through so much hell it's surprising she's lasted this long. Naila's mom attempted murder on her drug dealer with her in the car and the rest is history.

(backstory): Ali lost her hearing at age 2 she been without hearing aids her entire life she hates the feeling of the hearing aid in her ears her dad took her away from her mother when she was only 2 the same time she lost her hearing she dosen't remember her mother she really don't care about her mother when she turned 10 her dad and her were going to a fair to have a daughter and father day together since he works a lot and were always with a babysitter that day when they were going to the fair there was a drunk driver that collided with the car her dad tried to protect her from the impact but she broke her leg the car crushed her leg while she was stuck in there the driver was her mom both her parents died that day she was in a coma for almost a year she finally starting to wake up

Personality: Gabriel is mostly independent (not by choice but accepts it), and doesn't mind doing things on his own, especially because he's grown up having to be okay with being alone. He has a random and rather childish personality at times, but overall he just wants to come off as friendly to people who are outcasts like him. Weirdly enough, he's bold and some would say he's very "out there". His personality is unique and his thought process is genuinely different than most kids, probably because of his past and present circumstances. Gabriel would also say he's fearless when it comes to talking to people and expressing his opinion. He doesn't care what other people think about him and that doesn't help his loneliness case because it sometimes drives people away. His weird interests and odd sense of humor tends to make people confused and the push him away. He's always been used to keeping his feelings about situations like that, or any situations for that matter, on the inside. He keeps his anger and sadness and frustration on the inside until it all bubbles over and causes him to black out and wreck things. Sometimes, Gabriel seems to have this darkness that people sense and it's off-putting. It's part of his "weirdo" personality
Does he get along with younger kids?: Honestly, younger kids tend to find Gabriel weird, but some find him funny. The rare ones get attached to him because they think he's someone to look up to, or he catches their eye and makes them believe that's what a normal personality is. He is childish so that appeals to a lot of younger kids but normally they just think he's weird.
Is he protective of the members in the group home?: If there are fellow outcasts or someone who's afraid to come out of their shell, Gabriel will feel the need to welcome them and try and be their friend. One side of him is loyal and trustworthy so when that side is out, he'll try his hardest to be a good friend.
Anything special he holds on to?: Gabriel holds on to any lighter he finds, because truth be told he is a pyromaniac. Since there are no lighters lying around in the home, he has his own that he used to try and burn down his house. He always kept it. It's a clear lighter and you can see all the fluid inside of it. He likes seeing what ignites the destruction that he feels he controls.
Favorite and least favorite season?: Summer because it's hot and it's easier to do things outside and sit and watch the kids play. Gabriel likes to be observant of how people interact so he can try to mimic it. He hates spring though. Hates it. It's the rainy season and he isn't able to light things on fire outside when it rains.

Where is he from?: Gabriel is originally from New Orleans but he's moved around so much that he doesn't know what he claims anymore.
Why is he here?: His family was tired of trying to deal with his problems and their breaking point happened to be when he tried to set the house on fire because "they would never understand him". To this day, his parents never knew if he was talking about them or the voices in his head. Throughout his life, Gabriel had problems with schizophrenia and anger issues. He would take his anger out on his younger siblings and sometimes his older ones, but then would switch back to a personality that seemed rather independent, childlike, and odd but still more normal than his darker sides.
How long has he been in the system?: Since he was 12, so about 3 years.
Has he ever had a job?: Nope, he shouldn't be trusted with one either.
Does he have a criminal history?: Gabriel has burned an abundance of abandoned buildings and items he finds, so he's technically committed many crimes but he's never been really caught for something like that. Stealing, however, is on his track record as a minor. He's stolen countless times but he's been caught and taken by the authorities twice. Once as an 11 year old and again a year later, right before his parents sent him away.

Siblings? If so what happened to them?: Two younger siblings and two older siblings, but he lost contact with them when he was sent away. He wasn't especially close with any of them, so he doesn't think about them too much. Or at least he tries not to.

Why are they at the group home?:
Elvira grew up in a middle-class household as the middle child. Her two older siblings were almost never home from what she could remember. Her Mother was mainly a Stay-at Home Mom and her Father was an Electrician and he would work hard and long hours to keep the family in their lovely home. The last good memory she had was her fourteenth birthday. Starting in High School, her seemingly happy family started to spiral downhill. During the summer before High School, her Mom initially announced that she was expecting twins, but suffered a miscarriage following a horrific car accident with a drunk driver. Not long after, her Mother died, succumbing to her injuries sustained from the crash. After her Mother's death, her Father began smoking and drinking to cope with the heartbreak. His days were filled with hard work, his nights at the bar with booze and cigarettes. During her Sophomore Year, her Older Sister would be killed in a car accident on the mountain side, where her and four friends perished after driving off a cliff and slamming into a tree on a skiiing trip. Six months after, her Brother would commit suicide by throwing himself in front of an oncoming train. Her Father's drinking got worse, although the smoking stopped. The rapid loss of her immediate family would soon drive Elvira up the wall and prompt her to drop her sports and extracurricular activities at school because most of her nights were spent taking her Dad home from the bar. It didn't take long for them to start falling behind on their bills, then evicted from their home and into low-income housing.

All the stress soon led Elvira to try and find a new coping mechanism. On an ill-fated Saturday Night, Elvira went to a party hosted by her former teammates on the Basketball Team. This soon led to a one-night stand with one of the party-goers. And with Elvira being none-the-wiser that night, protection wasn't used. One morning, as she didn't feel well, vomited in the restroom before taking a pregnancy test...and it came back positive. Her Father would find it in the trashcan that same day after Elvira pushed herself to go to school and she would come home to him confronting her about it. An argument ensued as Elvira made the choice to keep the baby. But push soon came to shove and Police would arrive to a ransacked apartment and Elvira's shirt covered in blood that wasn't hers. Her Father, laying across the room with a cut on his face and a broken glass shard in his shoulder.

Alcohol and cocaine were found in her Father's system at the Hospital, resulting in her being removed from his custody and he was soon stripped of all parental rights. Her Father was soon sentenced to four years in prison, followed by six-months of rehabilitation. Until then he is legally prohibited from any contact with Elvira. Finding it to still be rather harsh despite their nasty altercation, Elvira requested that he is at least able to send letters to her once a month until he is released from prison.

Personality: Skye can often come across as rather argumentative in certain situations though this isn't actually the case, she is just easily misunderstood. Skye is very defensive and protective over the people close to her, as a result, she often assumes the worst and so is quick to jump to conclusions. Skye is quite feisty and as a result of her overprotectiveness has gotten herself into a number of fights. She always means the best, even if that doesn't always come across clearly.
Why are they at the group home?: Skye lived a 'normal' life with her parents. They were a loving, happy family, until the birth of Skye's younger sister, Freya. Complications during Freya's birth eventually resulted in the death of their mother. Following their mother's death, Skye and Freya's father grew increasingly distant, the loss of his wife completely destroying him. Then, his sorrow became anger, anger towards Freya, who he began to blame for his wife's death. At first, he only became slightly stricter with his youngest, but as his anger festered he grew increasingly aggressive towards her, resorting to needless violence. Skye, being highly protective of her younger sister, often tried to get between Freya and their father and as a result has a few scars for her actions, though, despite her best efforts, Freya didn't walk away unscathed either. Eventually, one of Skye's teachers noticed the scars on her body and contacted a child protection agency, Skye and Freya were taken away from their father after he was deemed unfit to look after them properly. As a result of that, they were taken to the group home, where they've lived ever since.

Personality: Freya is very quiet and gentle. She’s easily frightened as a result of her relationship with her father and often fears that she has done something wrong or when people are angry or upset she tends to jump to the conclusions that it was her fault.
Why are they at the group home?: Freya was born into a loving family with parents and a sister who adored her. However, less than a week after she was born, the whole dynamic changed. Her mother passed away due to complications following Freya’s birth, almost immediately following her death, Freya’s father began to resent his youngest daughter as he held her accountable for the death of his wife. Freya’s father’s anger towards her only grew as time went on and he became progressively more aggressive with her as well. Despite everything, Skye, Freya’s sister, stuck up for her against their father and the two are practically inseparable. Eventually, Freya and her sister were forcibly removed from their father’s custody due to his treatment of them both, which is how they ended up where they are now.
