Futuristic Mid-Ice Age Faction Roleplay

Glasswing

Hemaris Thysbe
Hell, reader. This Roleplay does not yet have a title, and is a decent way away from completion. I also wrote this a 2:00 A.M., thus not everything is peak quality. Everything will be procedurally edited and improved.

Intro

In the dead of night, a low humming sound broke the absolute silence. Warm air was being vented into a large room with several humanoid figures curled up into holes in the walls. In the center of the room was the ventilation system. The rime and frost that enveloped the room began to melt away from the center of the room. As the the ice melted off of the humanoid figures, they began to move their heads, looking out into the room. In near unison, all of the entities climbed out of the walls slowly. The frigid temperatures had made them lethargic. Many of the figures in the room seemed to be dressed in a carapace-like armor, while all of them had, in place of the iris and pupil of the eye, schizochroal eyes, hundreds of tiny lenses packed together. One of the armor clad men spoke in a strange tongue, pointing to the only exit, guiding the rest out. They all filed out into the frigid air of the night. Ice enveloped the area. The region was flat and extended for miles. Nearby, well within sight was a small community of similar individuals. They all appeared to be armed, aiming their weapons at the group's general viscinity. They turned, to see a large treaded vehicle, several feet tall, headed for the community.

Factions

Aveilled - Holds about 27% of all available landmass. The Aveilled are the most technologically advanced community, and have best recovered after the deep freeze.

Volutto - Holds about 46% of all available land, and effectively controls all ports between the north and south ice sheets. The Volutto have technology that is on par with the rest of the world, but focuses most on financial success, and all around wealth.

Rusccat - Holds about 23% of all available land, and has been aggressively claiming land. The Rusccat are more industrially oriented, focusing on more basic technology, and firearms. Most notably, the Rusccat have made great efforts in trying to overthrow the Volutto, but with little success. In order to supplement their efforts, they have tried claiming Dhasura land, and doing so has proved itself to be an easy task.

Dhasura - By far, the most obscure Faction. They were once the most technologically advanced, but they went into a long slumber when the deep freeze began, in an attempt to best preserve their people, putting their technology, at best, on par with the Volutto. The Dhasura once controlled nearly 80% of all land, but many of their colonies were put into ruin, putting them at a mere 4%. The Dhasura are holding onto their last small communities, trying to keep their people alive. The other factions are often hostile to them due to their alien appearance. The Dhasura feature strange eyes; instead of having an iris and a pupil, they have hundreds of tiny lenses packed together. Military officials and high ranking officials featured carapace-like armor that fused with their skin. The Dhasura also often feature other smaller mutations that varied between bloodlines. The Dhasura had a tendency to play with DNA.

Summary
Essentially, the planet has undergone a deep freeze. 87% of the planet is covered in ice. Players will be allied with the Dhasura, trying to protect themselves from the Rusccat. You do not have to be of Dhasuran blood. You only have to be allied with them. If the RP grows bigger than expected, I will allow for other factions to be played. As I progressively update this, I will include other ideas for plot arcs, as the encompassing arc is essentially recovery and progression.
