Ghost Town

Welcome to Suchun.

gangcheonsa_temple_resized.jpg

This town is not as big as the others laying nearby, actually it was even closed due to disastrous events. Rebels threatened to take down the government and were taking stand here, however they got countered by the army. Fights began and it slowly turned into a small war in this town. Buildings were destroyed, fires were made, lives were lost.

But then, stories told a witch came into town and cursed those that were in it. Only a few survived the curse while a handful managed to get through. However they weren’t allowed to step foot outside. A barrier held them inside, making them crave for the outside world. Years passed by and the witch returned. Having some sympathy with the cursed ones, she cast a spell over the town. By day, it would look completely normal but once the clock would strike 10pm, the spell would become undone and the true appearance would return.

668a4db77d44a6bf6e08561780cffc28--incheon-korean-war.jpg

The people who had the curse on them were turning into monsters. Zombies (who still had their consciousness), werewolves, ghosts, etc. They were horrified by their appearances but knew they had to make the best out of it. By binding their strength, they tried to make the place as pleasant as possible. Setting a curfew, making it some kind of attraction. Since it had the appearance of an old ancient town in the daylight, they would let tourists take a look. Conversing with the people from outside. Making their lives a bit more pleasant. That’s all they hoped for.

Now dear visitor, we welcome you to Suchun, the ghost town.

What this is about:
> You will be participating in this rp as one of the cursed or as a curious visitor. Hell you can even be a celebrity whose visiting. Of course there’s a possibility that you could have caught on about the secrets of this village, trying to discover the truth behind it. However it won’t be easy as the town will close exactly at 10pm. If you’re trapped when the curse becomes undone, who knows what’ll happen since you can’t get out until 6am. Others could get to know the truth by getting close to one of the cursed, but only time can tell.
> I’m asking for you to use realistic pictures.
> This is taking place in South-Korea.
> I’m expecting from you to write at least 2 paragraphs.

Kim Youn-Woo

The nice summer breeze went through Suchun. Birds actually entered the town now once the sun was rising. The first rays of the sun slowly made the town a lot more approachable. The ancient buildings were standing their proudly, a true feast for the eyes. Lots of small shops were spread around, for everyone something to see. There were food stands, clothes shops with traditional dresses and gowns, souvenir shops for if they wanted to bring something with them from here. It surprisingly got more attention than the inhabitants would’ve thought. It was nice to see some new faces there instead of the regular ones.

Today a new hotel opened up which attracted the majority of the tourists. The employees were wearing clean white uniforms with some gold worked into it. The inside of the building was also a little more modern than the other ones. Perhaps that was why more youngsters decided to come here because of its appearance. Plus it was also affordable for most of the people. It was something nice to see since the outside was still completely traditional. The dining hall could seat about 150 clients, the lounge was nicely decorated with white satin curtains draping from the windows, the couches were in a baby blue colour. Only the furniture was in soft colours while the rest was white. There was also a sky lounge at the top of the building which had more of a night theme. There the furniture had bright colours and the rest was in black. Of course the hotel was situated just on the opposite side of the gates to enter the town.

Youn-Woo made his way to the only gate in town which was ridiculously large as if he was about to open the gates of a palace from the ancient years. He could see the people already waiting in front, making him have a genuine smile upon his lips as he watched them. He swirled around the keys as he took his time to walk there. Making the people laugh by his behaviour. Once he arrived, he put the key in the lock and opened it, making a creaking sound as the doors swung open. ”Welcome to Suchun.” He said through a speaker before making way for the crowd to go inside. Being the chief of the town he had this one fun job to do so that was a good thing.

It’s been a while however since they had this many youngsters visiting the town, there were even school groups for the first time. Well, that was only after Young-Woo gave them the permission to enter but since everything went well for the last years, he decided it wouldn’t hurt for them to visit as well. With that, he was about to make his way back into town but was stopped by some elderly people who were asking for some explanation about some buildings. Though everything was written down in their papers they still liked to hear about it from an inhabitant. He guessed that was just one of the appeals of here.

Mun Ji-Woo

The excuse for why there were so many burned buildings and scorched trees in this town was an easy one; we used to have a group of arsonists in this town but they have now all been arrested. Only residents of this town knew the actual reason behind the fiery remains. The answer was lonely. The answer was rare. The answer could rise from the ashes. The answer was Mun Ji-Woo. This cursed town changed a small insignificant kid into something impossible but this town was cursed so of course it was possible. He hated what he became; any one thing set of his temper and down went a building or a section of a forest which is why he lived in a house far away from anyone else's and which is why he wrapped himself in tinfoil every night.

Ji-Woo woke up surrounded by tin foil and other metals as usual in his burnt up house. He walked to his metal box full of clothes, picking out an orange t-shirt, a burgundy hoodie, black jeans and black sneakers. He changed and sprayed himself with Axe before brushing his teeth. He grabbed his guitar, phone, lighter and backpack before leaving his house, only then realising there were visitors coming to the town today.

Kang Jaejin - The Reaper
▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓
1917480_original.jpg
It was a ritual, to stare down his reflection in the mirror at daybreak. It was a ritual that sought reassurance, normalcy. Reassurance that the flesh on his bones was not decayed, rotten and sagging, and that his eyes, nose, mouth were not missing from his skull. It was the desire to look upon normalcy, however faint it may be, in the way his gaze narrowed, the way his lip twitched, and the way his jawline set when the abhorred thoughts ran amok in his head. There was no aged bone in sight, no sign of skeletal appendages, nothing that pertained to his true self.

He'd stand there for minutes, likely hours, if it were not for the sudden knock at the bathroom door. It roused him, made his lips move upward into a forced smile. "Brother?" The small voice that called him pulled him away, and when he opened the door he caught sight of his twin sister in all her glory. Her hair, long and black, was a nest, and her makeup was half off and smudged on her hands and arms. The night shirt, one of his that she'd stolen, was carelessly pulled to one side, exposing a sharp shoulder blade. "Are you done?" The question drew a silent nod from him as he rested a hand on her head.

This too was something of a ritual. Mi-mi, his twin, always came to pull him out of his trance. Without her he'd likely stand at the mirror until time ceased. Every morning, every day, then again... maybe she just really wanted to use the bathroom. "Yeah, sorry."

"Hey, ready for today? The Kang pub can't start the day without you, you know."

The twins shared a small building just on the outskirts of Suchun's square. It was the epitome of a cluster fuck, in Jae's opinion, as it was both a library and a bar. The upstairs being one of the few libraries with a rather limited assortment of books, and the bottom floor being one of the few bars in the town.

Unlike her brother, Mi-mi did not hold to a ritual such as mirror-staring. In fact, she held no real routine, unless sitting cross-legged atop her bed with a quilt covering her as she shivered in fear was considered a daily routine.

'Just one weeeeee morsel. What's the harm? Come now, you'll feel a looooot better if you taste the flesh of man.'

She shook her head rather aggressively and it caused her to almost fall off the bed. The voice, the only voice that resided in her head, was as insistent and pleading as ever. However, today it wasn't as demanding. Usually she'd feel a burn in her gut, an itch in her throat, and a coldness underneath her skin when it spoke, when it whispered of hunger. She'd never listened to it, never allowed it to influence her to such a degree, but it never stopped bothering her.

'You stupid, impudent child.' Mi-mi winced as she launched from her bed, the quilt flying to the floor in the process. Perhaps she'd spoken too soon. The voice had taken a turn for the worse and it weighed down on her shoulders with an overbearing pressure.

Find Jae. Find Jae. Find Jae. Find Jae. It was a mantra as she fumbled with her bedroom door, as she rushed down the small, short hall of their apartment, and as she knocked on the bathroom door.

Immediately the pressure lessened and the presence of the voice withdrew to the back of her mind, imitating a conscience as it left her with a sickening emptiness. Nevertheless, she sighed in relief despite the depressive feeling of loneliness that it caused when retreating.

"Brother?" She tried at a nonchalant tone despite the shakiness in her breath and the trembling in her fingers. She'd learned quickly that everyone in this cursed town had their own problems, and that sharing wasn't always a good idea. People tended to think the other was boasting or seeking pity. At least, that's how she saw it, at least that's how Jae had worded it to her when she'd last tried to seek someone to confide in.

Mi-mi didn't register when the door opened or what he'd said until his hand rested atop her head. She moved quickly, knowing well that her hair was a mess already, and she wasn't about to let him make it worse. At the mention of their small establishment she nodded, though it wasn't as eagerly as he may have expected or hoped, "Yes, just please don't try to make drinks or cook for the tourists."

Her twin shook his head, the smile that he attempted in the mornings finally pulling more at his face. The smile was now more genuine as he again reached for her head, this time ruffling the nest just before she pulled away once more, "I won't. I remember what happened last time when I tried to help out. I'll just stick to the books."

Nana
IMG_1724.JPG
Cheong, Nana. Locally known as just Nana, or "the demon girl". She crept out of her room, windows tinted so dark in her small home that the lines of night and day were blurred into oblivion. Still, there were curtains and they were the color of blood. Or, as mortals comfortably called it, "Maroon" or "Burgundy". But what were the curtains for if they didn't shield sunlight? Well, nobody knew, really. Nobody questioned it either, seeing as nobody was allowed inside. It was frowned upon to be seemingly willing to hang around Nana, much more to be in the space she inhabited on her own time.
"Visitors today.." The voices began. "Entertain them today.." She walked barefoot, nails painted the same dark red as the curtains nobody would see. Her dark hair was sleek, no hair out of place, so she couldn't have been asleep. "They came to see the dark during the day. This is the amusement park of the dead and the decaying..." "You don't visit an amusement park without the intent of being amused." She replied, sitting infront of her candle-lit vanity, black silky robe dangling off her porcelain body while she applied her lipstick. "Suchun is a land of the cursed. How dare anyone have escaped the fate bestowed upon us, and visit for their..." On the mirror was the picture of a human, mortal Cheong Nana. Skin warm, cheeks flushed with life. Her eyes were still cold as ever, Nana was an intimiadating woman even then. "Show them what they came for. Show them what should have been, what is, and what can be if they stay too long..." "But Youn-Woo is still making his rounds... I will not feel his wrath." "Youn-Woo loves the mortals. They make him feel.. alive." "ENOUGH about feeling ALIVE!"
Every day, she battled the voices in her head. They taunted her the way she taunted others, and they wouldn't stop if she did. And even if they would, she couldn't stop. You'd think it would somehow obliterate her.
She opened the door slowly, sunlight so obnoxiously... everywhere. She was dressed now, put together for the day and ready to move about. Why was everyone so happy and giddy all the time?

Hae Soon-Ja

"Ahrg." Soon-Ja moaned as she rolled out of bed. It was barely daylight, the sun just peaking over the horizon. She stumbled through her apartment, turning on lights, narrowing her eyes and cursing them for being to bright. Going through the motions of getting ready till she was out the front door. By then the sun had risen slightly, casting shadows on the objects below. Soon-Ja was loaded down with various types of bags, many filled with food she had prepared the night before. It was only a quick walk from her apartment to her restaurant, although with all the bags Soon-Ja was a bit out of breath.

Soon-Ja's restaurant was a simple traditional korean restaurant, three tables a bar and and open kitchen for visitors to watch her cook. Sliding open the front door Soon-Ja let out a breath she didn't know she was holding as she set all her bags down on the bar top. Unpacking all her items she began to prepare for the day. Setting out her usual appatizers in small bowls on each of the tables, resulting in having a colorful array of small bowls on each table. When she finsihed with all the prep work Soon-Ja went outside and changed her sign from close to open.

Leaning on her doorway Soon-Ja had a clear view of the gates, watching Youn-Woo prepre to open the gates. Tying her half her hair up before she crossed her arms, watching the visitors trickle in. A smile graced her face as she watched all the eager visiters reading their pamphlets, walking every so often only to stop, point and the pose for a picture. As they started getting closer to her restaurant Soon-Ja realized she had forgotten to set out the sign for the menu. Going back inside Soon'Ja went beind the counter and grabbed her foldble sign and a peice of white chalk before going back outside. Propping up her sign Soon-Ja bent down and began to write out todays menu, listening to the chatter of visitors behind.

Ji-Soo's home was still located near the active part of town but it was right on the edge of the forest line which usually worked in his favor. His body shuffled slightly as he began to wake up while his nose was the first thing to be of any use to him. The scent of dried blood and dew was the first thing that came to him as he sat up abruptly. Flashes of the previous night passed by his closed eyes as remembered the hunt he went on last night. Ji-Soo managed to drag himself up into his shower. A tired sigh escaped his mouth as he watched the water run into the drain with a pink color and a metallic tinge. "It's time to finally look presentable, I'm glad that I restocked everything in the bakery yesterday", he mumbled to himself as he got dressed for the day in a black sleeveless hoodie and pants

. He didn't bother with finding a shirt to wear underneath since he never had a problem with the cold. Ji-Soo glanced his reflection and took notice of his white hair, slightly pointed canines, and his large frame before making his way towards the bakery. He smiled brightly and waved at the small children that would pass him by and stare at his hair. While walking along the tourists filled road, his stomach growled loudly and he knew that he had a good amount of time to spare before opening up. Ji-Soo followed his nose and ended up standing in the entry way of Soon-Ja's restaurant. His eyes were wide with glee as he stepped inside and took in the delicious smells in the air before giving Soon-Ja a toothy grin.

Mun Ji-Woo

Ji-Woo arrived at a Coffee Shop down the road from Soon-Ja's restaurant, a florist and a bakery. He had jumped from working from place to place. Some employers simply don't understand Ji-Woo's temper and fire him for it. He'd only recently got this job and was intending to keep it. He walked to the 'Employee's Only' section and changed into a black shirt and tie along with his name tag. He walked behind the cash register and played on his phone for a while until they were finally opening. He serves the first few early risers and made himself a hot cocoa whilst he was there.

He liked working there. He didn't have to remember faces and, as the manager was rarely there, he could do whatever. He could probably not ten up if he wanted to but someone has to man the register. He opened up Crossy Roads and tapped along. He needed the concentration to help wake his brain up.

Soon-Ja has just finished writing down the daily specials, drawing small flowers and vines with leaves in the corners of the board to make it more presentable. Standing up from her crouch she dust herself off, looking inside to find Ji-Soo looking back at her with a grin. Soon-Ja chuckled as she walked inside, passing Ji-Soo making her way behind the bar where the kitchen was and grabbing her apron. "Can I help you or did you just come to waste time?" Soon-Ja spoke as she lifted the apron over her head before putting it on, tying the ties around her waist twice and tying them in front. Smoothing it down with her hands.

Soon-Ja normally had small bentos premade for the residence of Suchun to start their day as they passed by, but sometimes one would have a little more time on their hands and sit down and have a meal. Soon-Ja always loved to converse with others, which is part of the reason she opened up the restaurant and the other reason being she was a good cook. Soon-Ja looked passed Ji-Soo to find some visitors trickle in to her shop, but it was still early so it would be a while till it became busy.

Ji-Soo nodded his head enthusiastically as he plopped down in one of the chairs placed around the bar. "I guess you could say that I've come to do both." There was no better place to spend time than to eat to his heart's content. It was comforting to eat around in a place with a pretty relaxed atmosphere and not have to worry about anyting setting him off. Ji-Soo took notice of the other customers that had begun to enter and his ears pricked up as he heard the patrons talk about the rumor of the town. It left a wry expression on his face as he knew that they weren't aware of the true terror.

Ji-Soo rubbed his hand across his mouth to remove the small amount of drool that had slipped out at the thought of eating them. It had never been easy for him to control his beastly side even though he was in his human form. With a shake of his head Ji-Soo began to attempt to suppress his instincts and focus on something else. "It's a good thing for me to come here since I've been told that I can't live off of sweets alone. I'm in the mood for something spicy today, " he said with a light chuckle as he watched Soon-Ja tend to the others.

Nana
IMG_1724.JPG
Nana took the first step into the light from her comfortably shaded porch, staring down at the ground at her dainty, bare pedicured feet. The good thing about being a demon, was that no matter what you did, you were attractive. That's how you caught prey, even if you didn't intend to.
Her white floral shirt hung off her shoulders, blue skirt pale and beautiful too. Pearls hung from her ears, blowing with the wind like they too wanted to run away. It was the same routine everyday, for everyone. Entertain the living, entertain the mortals, put on a smile, don't frighten them with your fangs, don't act like yourself, you'll... scare them away. Nana chuckled to herself, the voices in her head laughed too.
"Nana, the friendly, compassionate demon."
"Nana, the sweet and encouraging demon!"
She walked through the chattering and the excitable, shivering at their warm and happy auras. Pure, undisturbed. She'd wait until they were comfortable. Only the smallest of children really noticed and paid attention to her, some crying, fear struck in their eyes. Rumor had it, small children and animals know evil when they see it. Rumor also had it, Nana got a rush from it.
The way her home faced was from the back "forward", so when walking the shops, the Coffee Shop was always first. She liked the smell of coffee beans, yeah, "liked", as in, "found joy in". We know. Mindblown.

Walking past a few mortals, she chose a seat farthest from their enthusiastic laughs and conversations. It was too early, always. "Are those on the house, Torchy?" She nodded towards Ji-Woo's cup of hot cocoa. She had a double-toned voice, so when you heard her soft, high whispy voice you also heard a lower, dry one too. It was eerie before gotten used to.

Soon-Ja had gotten the drinks for her tables, all water except for one woman who asked for a beer and from the looks of it she needed it. So Soon-Ja told her it was on the house as she watched the woman's two children crawl around her like monkeys. Going back behind the bar Soon-Ja looked at Ji-Soo, listening to what he desired. "If we could live off sweets I'm afraid I would be out of business." She joked, although it would be true as everytime Soon-Ja had attempted at baking sweets they would inevitably burn no matter what Soon-Ja did, so she stuck with the more savory items.

Tapping her cheek with her finger as she acted as if she was in deep thought. "Okay, I can make you tteokbolkki, chicken feet, jjamppong, or kimchee ramyun." Soon-Ja spoke as she counted the dishes off on her finger before turning around to prepare the dishes for the other customers. The visitors didn't order much mainly due to all the walking they would be doing within Suchun. Turning back around she looked at Ji-Soo her arms crossed in front of her as she awaited his choice.

Mun Ji-Woo

Ji-Woo rolled his eyes at Nana's comment. He'd recieved many nicknames over the years and that wasn't a rare one. A few are Torchy, Birdbrain and Nixie (a favorite of his). People in this town just liked to tease. There were only a few exceptions to this. Besides, he couldn't loose his temper this early in the morning.

He exhaled, "What do you want to order, Nana? I can't spend all day talking to you. Some people have dreams and priorities to attend to and so do you." He wouldn't consider himself a 'mom' friend but more of a 'I care because you're wasting my time and I have a life outside of people' friend.

Nana
IMG_1724.JPG
Nana grinned to his question, and very apparent annoyance. "What do you want to order, Nana?" The voices mocked, errupting a childish laugh from her. "Oh! Well since you offered... I'll take a coffee, black." She flipped her hair back behind her and over her shoulder, leaning at the counter, arms folded. She studdied the phoenix, unable to understand what he was on about. Maybe he was still hopeful to join the mortals and humans outside of Suchun one day, that maybe he wouldn't be alienated, used for study or thrown into a mental house.
"Dreams, and priorities? You still believe in dreams, do you? Why, I'm just your locally cursed electrician. I tamper with things here and there..." The hanging lights above flickered, gaining "whoos" and "ahhs" from the visitors who'd just been so immersed in their theories about Suchun. Merely fools, that entertained them. They were getting what they paid for. "Boom! The lights! The voices chooed. "Spark Spark!"
Nana turned her attention back to Ji-Woo, grin returning. "When you find the secret to being 'normal', let me know. Please. " She said, stretching her arms out infront of her, before exhaling and resting her head down upon them. "I also hear, that if you're friendly to customers, they're more likely to ease your strain. Something like that.." She shrugged, sitting up to rest her chin in hand. "Awww!"

Ji-Soo let his mind process all of the options that he could get and realized that he definitely had his mind made up. As soon as he opened his mouth he felt something tap on his leg. It was a little girl that couldn't have been older than 3 years old and she just held her arms up while smiling up at him. Ji-Soo had always had a weak spot for kids since they were honest little things that never meant any harm. He made eye contact with the kid's parent and received a warm smile in return so he lifted the child up and placed her onto his shoulders. She instantly began to play with his hair in amazement and had a death grip on it. "I'm definitely in the mood for spicy tteokbokki! It's one of my favorites and there's nothing like chewy tteokbokki." The little girl was still playing with his hair and began to call him 'puppy' which resulted in Ji-Soo's face turning a light shade of red.

"she looks for adventure around every corner"

with: youn-woo - location: near the entrance of Suchun and the new hotel - tags: Clouds Clouds

A small, soft, chattering noise could be heard coming from an abandon warehouse, far from the newer parts of Suchun. The sun ray shone through the window, shining down upon the sleeping silhouette laying on the yellow-strawed make-shift bed. As her chest heaved up and down slowly, the young girl was cuddled up, legs against her chest, and quite surprisingly, nine, white bushy tails covering her whole frame for warmth. She always loved taking naps, it was one of her favorite past-time, especially when it was cold at night. However, feeling the heat against her tails was starting to wake her up and the young girl squinted before her eyes slowly fluttered open.

Yawning, the young girl began to sit in an up right position as her tail shook, taking off any of the remaining dust that may have fallen on them while she had been asleep. Nevertheless, she began to stretch, her arms reaching towards the sky as her legs stretched horizontally. However, her ears twitched as a strong scent came across her nose. Her eyes widen as a Cheshire smile made its way across her lips. Rise and shine, Hye-Sun, it's time to greet the guest! Sunni thought to herself as she quickly stood up, only standing at five feet tall. Despite her petite stature, she was quite agile and flexible, being able to pick up quite the speed and stamina for running errands. After-all, she has to have such skills if she was the to-go errand person, right?

Once Sunni was finished getting ready for the day, she quicky walked out of the warehouse as she smile gleefully. "Another glorious day to soak in the sun! She exclaimed loudly to no one but herself, but didn't really pay any mind to it. Soon, she skipped along the pathway towards the entrance of Suchun, wanting to greet the new faces who have decided to enter Suchun. She absolutely loved meeting new people. But, better yet, she liked playing with all of them! What better way to go through the day then have fun?

With a beat to her skip, Sunni happily went on her way, her nine tails moving side-to-side. However, as passerbys walked passed her, a lot of whispers and fingers were being pointed towards her. Are those tails? Are they real? One older male said, not believe his eyes, before his son retorted, Really, dad? They're fake. Just like the rest of this tourist hotspot. Remember? They recreated these buildings just like how they are doing myths. You're so gullible. The young boy said before pulling his father towards the other food stands.

Hearing those words, Sunni pouted slightly as she looked up, her ears twitching. As she walked pass the crowd, Sunni managed to take not two- but three photos with high-schoolers due to her "unique outfit". She had on a tradtional korean hanbok, but what intrigued the high-schoolers the most was the fact that she had ears and nine tails. They sort of compared her to someone named "Suzy" from the drama "Gu Family Book". Sunni honestly didn't know what they were talking about, but she decided to take the photos anyways. Surely, Youn-Woo wouldn't mind right? Plus, it'll bring more tourist due to her 'dress-up' appearance.

Nevertheless, Sunni aimlessly wandered around until, passing a few visitors she speaking here and there as she went on her way. However, as made her way around the town, she inevitably saw the one person she didn't want to see just yet, the Chief of Suchun. The man of the hour. Actually, the man she just thought about. Youn-Woo. But, she wasn't a coward and she didn't really have anything to hide. In fact, a mischievous grin appeared on her face as she went up towards Youn-Woo, waiting patiently before tapping his shoulder when he wasn't "busy" with a tourist. She knew she would get in trouble for her appearance, but it wasn't as if the people believed she was a Gumiho, even though she truly is.

"Annyeong haseyo, Youn-Woo! It is beautiful today! A lot of new faces and some old, I see! Have you checked out the new hotel yet? Are you the one in charge? Or is someone else? Also, need me to do anything before I go? You know I can't stay around, or rather, don't want to stay in one place for so long if there's so much to do!" Sunni said nonchalantly, keeping her tone light-hearted and playful.

Sin Min Jong

Sin Min Jong was just waking up as the sun reached the horizon. Sighing, he sat up from his bed. Despite being a ghost, he still kept up a normal routine. The boy smiled slightly as he out on a different tee-shirt and headed out of his room into the apartment kitchen. He is greeted by the site of a picture sitting on the counter of a smiling girl and a younger version of him clinging to her waist. His sister. He smiled at the fond memory and continued to walk towards the kitchen and he sat on the counter for a while, swinging his legs as he took a sip of coffee.

Sin flipped through a book where he kept record of his shop. Putting the cup in the sink, barely touched as he walked down the stairs and into the shop. The boy smiled as he watched a few early risers walk by his shop and peer in, mostly little kids and some couples. He waved and continued on with the set up, putting new arrivals that he had received on display and checking the off-limits garden for flowers that where ready to be sold. It didn't take awful long for him to finish, and by the time he was done, the street was getting more visitors. Sin quickly cut on the lights and flipped his sign to open, propping the glass door open.

From his home he could see that others where out and opening their shops. He would have gone to get something quick to eat, but he didn't want to leave the shop unattended. Sin took his attention off his thoughts and onto the couple approaching him. Dusting his hands on his black apron, he helped them pick out flowers for their friend and watched as people walked in and looked over his display.

'Food will have to wait till lunch. ' Sin thought and put on his normal smile and flirty attitude. (....don't ask idk what I just typed it is 2am and I'm living off coffee)

Hae Soon-Ja

While Ji-Soo made his decision Soon-Ja went on her way to deliver the other customers food. By the time she had finished Soon-Ja was a sweaty mess, which wasn't uncommon when you constantly have steam and heat thrown in your face. Coming back over to where Ji-Soo sat finding a small girl sitting ontop of his shoulders. "What do we have here?" She asked as she walked behind the bar, smiling at the girl before looking at Ji-Soo nodding at his request. "Tteokbokki it is then." Soon-Ja spoke in agreement before turning around to prepare his meal.

Turning around after a few moments with a a plate of steaming spicy tteokbokki with a garnish on top. Setting it down in front of Ji-Soo Soon-Ja smiled. "Eat up." She spoke as she set out various small appetizers around his plate. Looking up at the little girl she gave her a soft smile, going over to where the register was and plucking a lollipop from the bowl in front of it before going back to the two and handing it to her. Then she grabbed a pitcher of ice water and poured a glass for Ji-Soo setting it down beside his plate. Wipping the hand off on her apron as she glanced over everyone within her restaurant.

Joo Jae Woo
Joo Jae Woo woke up with his shading pencil underneath his hand and smudged pencil on his cheek. Once again, he had fallen asleep sketching a new drawing. Groaning, he got up and walked over to the only mirror in the house. Wiping the smudge off his face with a towel, he decided to head out today. He grabbed a light grey shirt and simple jeans. Slipping on his tennis shoes and a grey book bag with a few pencils and a sketch book inside, he stepped outside. A miracle to those who knew him, well during the day it was. He usually was out during the night.

Walking, he nodded towards the few who acknowledged him. He typically displayed his work in others shops, like the one he was working for Sin Min Jong. Sighing he looked over to see Sunni bound up to Youn-Woo, shaking his head in curiosity. Sunni was so noticeable with her tails, it was hard to believe tourist found them fake. It was a wonder she went out in public view and nobody really suspected a thing. He waved to them briefly, before going to Soon Ja's place.

Upon reaching the restaurant, the smell hit him and reminded him he been living off particularly nothing while he locked himself in doors. Entering the restaurant, he was greeted by the sight of people. He looked for Soon-Ja and spotted Ji-Soo talking with her, a kid playing with his hair. 'Cute.' He thought walking up next to him. JJ looked to Sunnie as she gave the kid a lollipop. "Soon-Ja , What can you make quick and easy?" He asked her when she wasn't busy with others. He ran a hand through his black hair, trying to calm the mess. He looked towards Ji-Soo, kinda felt bad for not at least acknowledging his presence. "Morning Ji-Soo. " he managed to say, looking at the taller male.

Ji-Soo smiled brightly at the plate of food that was placed in front of him and gently lowered the girl to the floor. She had the lollipop held firmly in her grasp as she called him puppy once more before running off to be back with her family. He would never understand how perceptive children could be. "Thanks a lot for this Soon-Ja! I knew you were one of my favorite people." Ji-Soo dug into the plate of food with gusto until he heard someone speaking right beside him. He offered the boy a nod, "Mornin' JJ." Ji-Soo didn't have any problems with JJ, they just had conflicting energies that didn't mesh well and usually resulted in the hairs on the back of his neck standing up. Dealing with animal instincts on a daily basis was a constant struggle and he had begun to favor his beastly bipedal form. Ji-Soo stuffed the remainder of the tteokbokki down in record time and licked the little spills of sauce from his mouth.

Soon-Ja smiled at the little girl before turning her attention to the voice that called her name. Her smile widened as her eyes landed on Jae Woo, not seeing him for some time. "JJ! Hm...I have pre-made bento lunches like I always do. Which reminds me Ji-Soo remind me to give you one before you go. I could make you some ramyun, or I could fry up some fish..." She trailed off into thought, trying to come up with more dishes she could make for JJ, never one to allow someone to leave on an empty stomach.

Seeing that Ji-Soo had finished his plate she smiled. "Do you want more? I could pack you some up to go. Or do you want something different? I still have that bento as well." Soon-Ja started shooting off questions as she often did when she found ones plate to be empty. She knew one would tell her if they were still hungry but Soon-Ja never knew if they truely weren't hungry or they were lying.

So Ja-Hyun

If one where to travel a bit out of the square of the town, more towards the housing area, one would find a family home with pitch black curtains on all the windows embroidered with white floral patterns. Inside this home a girl was struggling to get from underneath the several layers of covers she used during last light sleep. Yawning, Ja-Hyun stepped into her slippers and headed down the hall to the bathroom, her clothes already layed out.

Taking a quick shower, the girl quickly got ready. She put on a black mini skirt and a plain white shirt she tucked in. She brushed out her hair and headed down stairs slipping on her black flats. Ja-Hyun grabbed a white parasol and stepped outside, opening the parasol at the same time. Thankfully blocking the suns deadly rays. Ja-Hyun noted all her stops for the day, since she didn't open her shop till noon, when she couldn't walk in the sun anymore due to its peak.

She decided to head to Sin Min's place to ask him to replace the flowers from last week, after word she would pick up bentos and then head around to the rest of the shops and great everyone. Content with her decision Ja-Hyun walked to the florist. She got a few glances, probably people wondering why she had such accessory during the day, but by the looks of it every brushed it off. She reached the flower shop and entered, shutting her parasol and stepping away from the windows. She waitied for Sin to be free of customers before walking up to him.

"Morning Sin Min Jong. " She said politely. She smiled leaning on the counter as she looked at displays. "Can you replace the current flowers in my shop? The last ones wilted without the sunlight. " She told him, this was a normal routine for her to ask this, and he would always come as she opened the shop, lunch break for him.

Mun Ji-Woo

"I'd say you'd be wrong about being kind but you know me; any second and I could break," he stopped and focused on making her coffee. He was good at this job. He didn't have to talk normally. He enjoyed it when he didn't; he could think about nothing and no one would judge him. He wished it was always quiet in here but then you'd get the odd rowdy customer who won't leave. He was hoping he wouldn't interact with one of those today. He didn't want to break anything.

He poured the coffee into a paper cup and snapped a plastic lid on top. He served it to Nana and spoke, "And of course I still believe in my dreams. If I didn't then I'd just be a big ball of rage and nobody wants that. I could destroy this city one night and you know it. I don't want to do that. I don't have the control." He sighed, "Take it. You can have it for free. It's not like there's anyone around here to stop me.

Joo Jae Woo
JJ nodded as Ji-Soo acknowledged him back. He watched him set the child down and watched them run off. He turned his attention to Soon-Ja as she spoke. "I will pick up the bento before I leave, but ramyun sounds good. " He told her politely, making his best attempt at a smile. It wasn't the most cheerful , but it wasn't forced looking either. JJ looked around, keeping quiet as he pulled out his sketched book and continued the drawings of flowers he promised Sin. He looked as Ji-Soo finished his meal.

Despite normally keeping to himself, JJ at least wanted to talk, because lord knows when he might see the man again. JJ never had a pattern, just came and went randomly. "H-how's the bakery Ji-Soo?" The boy managed to get out without sounding rude. However JJ's attention was on the last few details of his drawing. He signed it swiftly and flipped to a new page, starting on the scene in front of the town, a view of the street and its shops.

Nana rolled her eyes, "Any second I could break." She mocked with a goofy face, grabbing the piping hot coffee and taking a sip. She studied his silence, growingly bored and over it. "Even if you were to blow the place, our souls are trapped." She rolled her eyes, twirling her finger around in the air, a gesture that meant "trapped around here." "And nobody could stop you if they tried... they couldn't stop me either. Face it, without efficient electricity, what is Suchun during the day?" She slid off the stool, using her free hand to tug at her skirt. "Stop the rotation over a cup of coffee? I don't think so." And she walked out, next door to see who else had gotten up for the day.

"Annyeong Hasseo..." Nana greeted Soon Ja in her restaraunt, leaning against the counter with her cup of black coffee, curtesy of Ji-Woo. She didn't go without acknowledging Ji-Soo and Jae Woo, raising a sharply manicured hand for a greeting. They seemed busy, and Nana wasn't interested enough to find out why. "Bento?" She asked Soon Ja, who admittedly was a really good cook. She not only cooked for visitors, but even made bento's for the cursed residents... Nana wasn't too prideful to deny it. "Manners, Manners! Look who has manners!" The voices chimed. "Nana with manners! Resulting in a groan from their host.
